Was struggling where to go for my birthday lunch treat. Recently heard about this place through my mum who had friends that visited this often. This food was divine. I had the fish thalidomide and what a treat that was! For those not acquainted with this typical street food, it is a round tray with several little round pots of different food stuff. You have pickle in one which is quite sour and not too wet, you have a bowl of rice, and luscious curry pot with prawns in, another pot with quite a few small clams in, poppadom the pièce de la résistance was the fish. Coated it crispy breadcrumbs, the white fish was so soft, delecate and deboned. Wasn't entirely sure how best to eat this, so I picked at it individually, but it all tasty super scrummy. The staff were super friendly and happy to explain things where you needed, such as what type of fish it was. The price was very reasonable and the place inside was all nicely decorated with authenticity and very clean, you can see why it's won awards. Now for the only criticisms I can add, the food on average is quite spicy so if you don't like your spice then please ask in advance, however, if you're going for authentic Bombay Street food you must expect spice to be on the menu. Last but not least, the outside of the restaurant looks drab, dated, and the windows look quite dark. It's in a darkened corner of the town centre shadowed by the buildings around it and so you can't see too well inside if you were walking past the restaurant window and therefore it didn't look overly inviting, the decoration internally made up for it as that was all bright and warming. For that, I think it might do itself a disservice and may not grab as many customers in as it could. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed and would definitely come back to this place. It has all your Indian favourite dishes as well as some realistic Bombay street food dishes and flavours for all different taste buds. Lastly, my partner is vegetarian and usually struggles to want to go out for a lack of vegetarian variety and options on menus. This place had loads, about 50% of the menu was vegetarian. Please go support this place as we need more variety like this in Swindon, rather than your typical curry house.

Amazing Flavour But........ I ordered for myself a takeaway a lamb biriany , really tasty , good portion of lamb , but why so many cloves , a few I bit off , as anyone knows how off it could be . My other dish was Dall makkani , nice taste again, but quite alot oily, otherwise would be 5 star . Thank You Chef Mohit ur simply the Best.

By far the best Asian food we have ever had. The menu is varied with many dishes not seen in other Indian restaurants. The quality is excellent and portions are generous. We opted for a set meal for two people at £24 that included poppadoms, chutneys, onion bhajis, lamb rogan josh, black dal, rice and roti. Incredible value. This is a ‘no frills’ environment, appearing more cafe like than a restaurant but the atmosphere is great, probably because customers are enjoying the great food.

This restaurant has gone under the radar its not the usual curry house its a bit basic inside but don't let that put you off . We've had some lovely dishes from here on a few occasions. It's sensibly priced and well tasty Indian food. A lot of the menu I have never heard of so if you are looking for a korma or a tikka massala then you'll be disappointed. In summary very good

We often have lunch here, and have always loved the food. By far the best Mumbai Street Food we've eaten in the UK. Consistently high quality. Last time we were there on a Saturday evening we sat next to a couple of guys, originally from Mumbai, who'd driven nearly 50 miles from Salisbury after work, just to eat here! We decided to host a special birthday party lunch there on Saturday 5 August for 30 guests. Despite late arrivals due to torrential rain, other customers needing to be served and many of us (including overenergetic toddlers!) generally getting in the way, the staff were absolutely brilliant, utterly professional, calm and kind. The food orders, despite the size of the party, arrived promptly, was delicious as usual and the final bill surprisingly reasonable. Highly recommended. We'll be partying there again!

It was a takeaway order This is my 1st 5 star review after some time, I spoke to Chef Mohit , prior to my order , Everything he mentioned on the phone , he delivered with brilliance & his team, from the curries, to bhaji's , samosa's , dall makani , tawa bread was very nice, can't fault any items , specially pleasing was portions were adequate for 2 people. If quality & portion size remain the same i will be ordering many many on a regular basis. THANK YOU

If you haven’t tried this place….why not??? By far the best Indian food we have had. Order was correct, delivered ahead of when they said and the most important….delicious! Won’t go anywhere else now…..

The BEST Indian restaurant in the town and comfortably the best in recent memory. I have tried basically every Indian in Swindon and the local surrounding areas and this is heads and shoulders clear. Don’t be intimidated by the menu not being standard…to be expected with street food I assume, though there are a few things you will recognise! The food is superb. Packed full of flavour, not shy of spice and some great homemade popadoms. Arrived 45 minutes after ordering to the house and has since become THE Indian to order from. Fantastic. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

The KC has moved to the top end of Regent Street, Swindon - by the Town Hall. Its a bigger place, and nearer to other bars, the Mecca, the Wyvern Theatre and other going out places. Decor is simple, but you go for the food - tasty. Basic friendly and prompt service - ask for Vegan / other dietary options if required - they're very helpful (and the current Menu does not reflect these options). Great value for money. Looking forward to our next visit already or using the Take-Away service

You need to try this place. The menu is varied and fabulous. The service is spot on and the quality and taste of the food is outstanding. If you like curry, you'll love this little gem. A massive step up from your usual Bangladesh restaurants. And good value as well. Try it.

We sometimes dine in and sometimes takeaway but are never disappointed! Vada pau and chicken lollipops are amazing, would also recommend the khadai lamb. Very reasonably priced too.
