Most expensive coffee I've ever had. 5p short of a fiver..but lacking in taste compared to cafe nero/ Costa. I appreciate all businesses have overheads but I cannot see how the milk and beans would cost anymore than 60p a cup. That's around a 600 to 700% mark up on retail price.

I've been coming to this cafe since it opened. It does the most delicious coffee and hot chocolate ever. The staff are always kind, welcoming, friendly and helpful. It has the personal touch and high standards. (Limited food so more a drink and cake venue.). It has quite a 'cool' vibe so a little bit barren decor-wise. It used to have more tables which made it a bit cosier.

Pros:- Literally the best coffee you'll ever have, Starbucks is like dishwater in comparison- Always spotless- Stylish and always playing great music- Staff are super friendly- Caters to vegans / gluten-free crowd- Serves full lunches too- discounts on refills- discounts if you bring your own cup- Has a rewards points system thing where you just give them your name each time you order and you accrue points so you dont need to remember carrying a cardCons:- Might be a little on the expensive side but you absolutely get what you pay for and I'd rather support a local business like this than an evil corporation that don't pay their taxes like starbucks anyway ;)Conclusion:A premium coffee experience, it's excellent literally every single time!

Cycled through Whitchurch today and were pleasantly surprised to see the place open. Had heard good things but not tried it yet. CV19 restrictions inside were sensible and logical. Full menu available so we had a bacon bagel and a cappuccino each. Bagel was generously filled and delicious. Cappuccino was quite superb. I’m not a big coffee drinker but I would be if every cappuccino was this good. Service was very friendly and efficient. Definitely looking forward to trying more of the menu delights in the near future.

My husband and I stopped into this lovely little cafe on our long way through to the West Country earlier this week after reading the excellent reviews on here. Well, we certainly weren't disappointed! In fact we had such a good time I felt compelled to right my first ever review. The decor was simple but stylish and the atmosphere was relaxed, warm and welcoming. I had one of the best coffees I've ever had (and I've had my fair share) and the food was delicious too. We were recommended the Bakewell by one of the lovely staff members, and they were right - absolutely scrummy! There's plenty of seating and we were told it had recently been extended to include the shop next door. The new area was a bit quieter so perfect if you're looking for somewhere to enjoy a quiet moment, but we preferred to sit in the main seating area so we could enjoy the atmosphere. Everyone who came in was greeted like they were a friend or a local, so they must be doing something right if they're so well liked by the people who live there. They even allow dogs in which is lovely to see. All in all, we had a great experience and are looking forward to popping back in again on our way home next week.

Great cakes and sweets, attentive enthusiastic service, clean, quick, what more do you need from a coffee shop? Great coffee shop, good atmosphere, good décor (and well done for letting well behaved dogs in!). My only comment would be they only have the choice of full fat or skimmed milk. The majority of the population are more health conscious these days, and would never dream of having full fat milk, whereas semi skimmed is far too watery. Most of the other main chain coffee bars just serve semi-skimmed, which seems to be far more popular. Can you consider doing this?! And for those of us who are a bit health conscious, some savoury snacks instead of just cakes? I will visit every lunchtime if there were savoury snacks!

Me and my boyfriend walked here on a Saturday, I ordered a beef brisket and a toastie, alongside two drinks. The lady was very kind and she brought out the toastie and drinks. After a little while I went back in and asked about the missing beef brisket to which they said they had now sold out of and was really apologetic. I said it was absolutely fine I can buy something different, however the ladies were adamant to give me a full refund and asked me if I’d like to pick something else free of charge. The staff were so lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful we were really appreciative of them!

We recently celebrated a family birthday here and I would thoroughly recommend to anyone who is looking for a fantastic Sunday lunch in the Basingstoke area. From the moment that we made the booking through to leaving, Peter and his team were extremely helpful and friendly, making the whole experience an enjoyable one. The food itself was delicious and there were no complaints in our large party (a rarity!). With a larger party you often expect there to be delays but everything came out quickly and hot. The roast pork and squidgy brownies were definite highlights! If you are in the area, you should absolutely make the trip to visit this charming country pub.
