Krispy Kreme in York

Walked into store to be told it was closing!!! It was 11:30am. How is this possible? Came back at 12 noon only to find the closed sign in place and no sign of any employees within to accompany the full platter of donuts that were sitting there unsold. This is the third time I’ve been here during open hours to find the cafe closed. Management need to visit and check this. Poor form Krispy Cream

Staff were uninterested and were talking between themselves, no smiles or greeting when we walked into the shop. We bought a Biscoff Doughnut each which tasted gorgeous however at £2.45 each it ought to do ! Nice for a passing treat but nothing memorable here. Think we’ll stick to Greggs or Couplands in the future …

Went in for a sit down and a drink, but it was so filthy everywhere, tables, floors, toilets etc, that we immediately got a refund and left. Never known anything that disgusting! Young lad serving said he doesn't know because he's new. Obviously never thought of using a spray and cloth before.

Tried to visit this lunchtime. A lady was sat at the till but we couldn’t seem to get in. The lady didn’t even look up immediately but then started mouthing something. Now I’m no lip-reader but between me and my partner, after a moment, we realised it was closed, contrary to the opening times on the door. Above it was a tiny sign saying something about they were currently busy counting doughnuts or something. Come on, if you’re closing for a short while, put a decent notice on the door, dim the lights and go out of view. Or at the very least try explaining properly instead of continually attempting to mouth ‘closed’. 🤦🏼‍♂️

We stopped here on a recent weekend break for a treat for the family. The choice was great, the doughnuts were fresh, the lady serving was very chatty and a lot of fun. She was also helpful as we made some enquiries about purchasing other items (eg mugs and KrispyKreme tin). The doughnuts are super sweet but that's ok every once in a while y ou need a Bit Of A Treat!

The young madam in this store has been reported for abusing me in front of my daughter who is only ten years old because I ‘dared’ to question why they were not accepting cash. This will involve solicitors and the small claims courts for abuse against a minor. Beyond horrified.

Today I witnessed a verbally abusive member of staff display anti-social behaviour towards a mother and her child for trying to pay with cash. Shouting at them and even threatening them with the police. The police should have been called to shut this place down. It was discrimination and disgusting, won't be visiting again.

Me and girlfriend went along as my partner has blue card and got notification saying 50% off for teachers and card holders but when got store the lady told us no only teachers that’s what she was told by area manager and we explained about blue card and 50% off wensday won’t go back

Called here for a coffee and a doughnut and was surprised at quick service, friendly atmosphere. Of course the donughts are amazing anyway. Only down side I thought was manager doing officer work on the counter with laptop open. But kudos on the coffee.

Brought a few donuts as a treat whilst walking through town, was a bit put off with the price but the gentleman made a recommendation and we went with it and it was truly superb. Shame about the cost though
