Lovely place and amazing food could not fault it service and staff excellent. Highly recommend 👌

Decent service but terrible food. Didnt think mushroom pizza and lasagna could be done wrong but they used raw tomato purre on both and forgot the white sauce and pasta in the lasagna! Breakfast was ok but not special dinner not with it go to Toto’s Italian round the corner

We came for afternoon tea today to your lovely bar/restaurant and we would just like to say a huge thank you for a wonderful time, the afternoon tea was superb and the staff were so lovely, very attentive and couldn't do enough for us. We had a fabulous time and are looking forward to visiting you again.

Bad experience food is insipid, more than 1 hour to get the food to the table when the restaurant was almost empty. Only the manager seam to care, waiters are rude! Suggestion rune away from this place!

Lovely chilled bar within the Novotel. Great for pre drinks or late nightcap. Friendly staff, great service

The toughest most leathery calamari I think I have ever encountered. The pizza had too much cheese and not enough of the other toppings. Overall poor food quality for the price.

Just like JD weatherspoons but smaller portions and twice the price. Our waiter Karl was very attentive and professional tho. Don't eat here if you want to be disappointed.

I went for an afternoon tea yesterday with a friend to the Gourmet Bar inside Novotel York. 1. Good things: The restaurant is decent, it was warm, spacious, quiet (no loud music and noisey people) and the seats were soft and comfortable, the atmosphere was peaceful, (which is extremely rare to get this at all in the UK). 2. The lady that served us was lovely and the staff in general were helpful Bad things: 1. We went there for afternoon tea valued at £24 for two , the savory and sweets snacks were skimpy, tiny, skinny and extra small. It consists of four dry, tiny, skinny sandwiches, two extra small scones, and a few extra small miniatures cakes. All of this together wouldn't even be enough for one person. 2. It was the worst afternoon tea I had in my life. The photo on the voucher did not meet what I got. Recommendations: If I was the manager, I would realize that most if not many people go for afternoon tea for special occasions they want a time to make memories and not leave hungry and embarrassed after paying £24, we left hungry, I was disappointed and felt embarrassed. How does it go wrong, it is low cost to prepare for kitchens and it doesn't involve much skill and knowledge in making half decent sweet and savory snacks and a good way of getting customers in...
