Still waiting for my order ordered 90 minutes ago

Very poor this time unfortunately

The salt and pepper chicken pieces were lovely but the pork chow main was slimy and tasted strange. I had to throw that away as I was concerned it would make me poorly.

Ordered at 19:31 and it arrived at 21:34. I called the restaurant at 20:55 asking where the food was as it said it would be delivered by 20:35 and the restaurant said it was on the way now. The restaurant is only a 10 minute car journey max and still took along time to arrive

Use this Chinese every Saturday have had a few mess ups in the past but this week, we ordered special omelette and salt n pepper chips, plus a roast chicken, chips and xtra gravy. The chips from the roast chicken were missing, so I rung the guy read my order to me including the chips but claimed I hadn't ordered them, claimed I hadn't been charged which when totted up I had. Asked for the meal replacing got told I couldn't have and that if have to wait for chips as really busy so asked them to come back and give a refund but refused Absolutely disgusting service, after he read the order back and included the missing item. Currently waiting for my chips that probably won't come so waste of money for a part meal. Won't be using again and will definitely telling everyone about poor customer service!!

Absolutamente desagradable comida y servicio. Encontré un cabello muy largo y blanco/rubio que saqué del arroz después de unos bocados y me sentí físicamente enferma. (Ninguno de nosotros tiene el pelo tan largo y la comida se había cocinado alrededor. Los llamó y ella no paraba de decir que lo siento, no podemos darte un reembolso, a pesar de que yo dije que acabamos de gastar 30 libras y no podemos comerlo. Qué desperdicio absoluto de £ 30 y terrible, horrible servicio de ellos. El resto de la comida estaba fría y descuidada y tan pronto como mencionamos sobre obtener un reembolso actuaron como si su inglés fuera horrible, así que no podíamos entenderlos. ¡Si no quieres desperdiciar tu dinero lo evitaría como la peste!

Terrible. Frío, sin sabor, encontró múltiples pelos en 2 de los platos. Artículos perdidos entregados. Llamaron para conseguir el lado que faltaba e intentaron cobrar extra para volver una vez acordado que nunca aparecieron. Nunca más ordenando.

Ordered tonight and the food is absolutely dreadful! Just to give some context, 2 sweet and sour dishes and the salt and pepper combo. Honestly, combo is listed 2 people, apart from being absolutely awful I am not sure why the name is "salt and pepper", small plate of chicken and sour, a few chinese rolls and some weird salad. 2 people where? First and last time... avoid at all costs.

Visiting the area. Food is now over an hour late! Fobbed off with a new time but still waiting. Rang restaurant and no answer. Terrible service. Requested our money back.

their was a piece of wire in my beef curry I nearly choked on it I have pictures if you need to see it

really good food!! was a bit late but understandable now as it's Chinese new year tomorrow the poor delivery guy was so apologetic and no need really they are clearly so busy! but great food 😋 happy new year!!!

Placed my order at 17.04. Estimated delivery 17.50-18.05. Delivery time got changed to 18.20. Tried to ring but no answer. Contacted just eat. Got a text saying order will be delivered around 18.45. Again order wasn’t delivered. Phone not answered. Contacted just eat again. Got a small amount of money back. Tried to ring again around 19.00 and no answer. Deliver driver at 19.05 and he was lovely.

Took over an hour to come. Food average. Have to say it was hot when it came however

Delivery was around 45 min late in total. When it arrived, I received battered chicken but ordered salt and pepper chicken , and the chips were slimy. Ended up binning most of it. Gutted.

Cold when arrived, meal of beef curry and duck with pancakes very salty. Spring rolls very dry no t much filling just pastry.

Would not recommend this Chinese food came cold with items missing from order . Telephoned shop they would send me items next time I ordered something. This was not good enough and asked them to send me all of my order again they refused and also would not refund my money. The order which they sent me which was cold had to go into bin .Not even fit to give to the dogs

Awful. Takeaway for 3 delivered. Too much oil in dishes. All ill following day, diahorrea.Never again!

Food did arrive still hot. Just 20 minutes after the end of the estimated delivery time. Duck was tasty, spring rolls were mini which I wasn’t expecting but were still ok.

Meal was bang on time and was good and hot but I wanted a changeover order chicken cho me in and got prawn and it was mostly rice- not Chow mien -with a few peas and lacked taste/ flavours-very disappointed

Where do I start? ordered beef in black bean sauce....what I got was a box of really badly chopped onion in watery gravy with a few scraps of fatty beef and some frankly enormous chunks of green pepper seeds and all. Vile. ribs? not one scrap of meat on the beggars, they looked like they'd already been eaten then cremated and soaked in oil. Vile. chicken chow mein? rubbery chicken in bog water. Vile. did we eat it? yeah because we were absolutely starving. did we cry whilst eating it? Close.

Turned up early mostly bland food a bit disappointed as had previously had great meals

The prawn crackers were stale, the noodles were bone dry and tasted really rubbery. The soup lacked flavour too. Disappointed as have had good one from there before.

Absolutamente horrible. Pedimos una selección de entrantes a nuestro hotel, ya que no teníamos mucha hambre, pero picoteo de lujo. Costillas de sal y pimienta – resistentes como botas viejas, lucharon para sacar cualquier carne del hueso, normalmente esperaría cebolla, cilantro, chile como guarnición, pero no, solo cebolla. Los Wantons fueron directamente a la papelera, quemados, secos, sin sabor. Los fideos eran como bandas de goma, no frescos, recalentados, horribles. El pollo con sal y pimienta era gomoso y sin sabor. Evitar a toda costa, que fue un desperdicio de £ 26. Lugar vil, el peor chino que he tenido en 47 años en este planeta.

Food was awful. Crispy wantons were flat and no prawn filling. Noodles were rubbery with a strange flavour.

The salt and pepper chips were soggy and barely had any flavouring unfortunately, but the rice and curry sauce were ok

Despite the negative reviews I normally find it’s pretty good. However I ordered the ribs tonight and they were terrible. Also the lid wasn’t on and the bag had clearly fallen over at some point so the sauce was everywhere. Nightmare to sort out.

I ordered 2 bags of prawn crackers and only recieved 1 and my order was 11 minutes past when it said the latest delivery would be. The driver practically threw the bag at me then ran away back to his car. Not happy with my lack of prawn crackers or delivery time

I wish I had checked the reviews on here as the JustEat reviews were a lot higher so I thought it would be ok! Everything that everyone else has said about hard, cold, burnt and greasy food, especially the prawn toast is true! Absolutely disgusting and it was late! AVOID

Beef was not good-the meat was old so we could not eat any of it. Smelled funny. All other dishes ok.

It came late and was cold , not happy with the order.

We ordered food for delivery and was told that it would be with us at 5.40. 6.30 and still sat waiting, so finally received it at 6.45 chips were warm ups, you couldn't even bite into them, there was nxt to no chicken in the chicken fried rice sweet and sour was ok. The only nice thing was the delivery driver!

The worst Chinese I've ever had in my life! Burnt meat and curry sauce which tasted of nothing but grease. Re heated noodles with shellfish in! Shocking! Save your money! They will not refund and don't even care! They just tell you to take it up with just eat

Hands down the most disgusting food I've ever ordered. Stodgy, cold re heated noodles which contained prawns! Burnt meat in the curry, which was mostly onion! half cooked chips. Which tasted of nothing but grease. Vile. When we rang and explained about our food and offered to send photos and videos, they just said " what do u want me to do about it, complain to just eat" couldn't care less!!! ***AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!****

Entrega la comida más asquerosa que he pedido. Fideos fríos y recalentados que contenían langostinos. Carne quemada en el curry, que en su mayoría era cebolla! patatas fritas a medio cocinar. Que no sabía a nada más que grasa. Vilento. Cuando llamamos y explicamos sobre nuestra comida y nos ofrecimos a enviar fotos y videos, simplemente dijeron "¿qué quieres que haga al respecto, quejarme para comer" no podía importar menos! ! ***EVITA COMO LA PLAGA! ****

First time ordered from Clifton Chinese. And I ordered special curry with soft noodles and chips with gravy. The special curry meat was burnt aswell as the veg. The noodles were different sizes as though they just mixed up a batch to make the portion up. I’m a chef and can say the chips are 100% warmed up and rock hard. Absolutely disgusting. I will be reporting to just eat for refund. We will stick to Acomb chineses in the future

Part of the order was missing so I called them. No apology and was left waiting on hold for several minutes before being told they would not bring the missing part and to “try” and get a refund off just eat. Singapore vermicelli was weirdly sweet and the chow mein was sloppy with rubbery meat.

Food good but there’s little point in leaving a delivery time if they’re going to deliver 25 minutes early. This time we were in, next time we may not! Stick to delivery times or lose orders!

My favorite Chinese takeaway in York! Absolutely fantastic Singapore chow mein, really tasty and well seasoned. The crispy chilli beef is up there with some of the best I've had

Over 1 hour late. Called over 10 times and no answer. Food turns up and half of it is clap cold! How can half of it be cold, chips were that cold they had re frozen and gone stale

Over 2 hours for a meal is an absolute joke. Called up to check on the order and the staff informs me the chief still hadn't even begun cooking after 1.5hrs of placing the order. Even though it had been marked on the app as order delivered. Requested refund/discount. Received nothing back. Avoid.

Almost 2hrs for a one person order. Appreciate busy but stop taking orders if can't cope. Usually really quick and food quality is good also
