Best chip butty I've had in a long while. Smart looking place with outside seating on the roof terrace weather permitting.

The bouncer is xenophobic and would not let me or my friends in most likely because we are English. When we got to the door he told us to “go somewhere else”, bear in mind we were sober and dressed appropriately. When my friends partner asked if we weren’t being let in because it was busy he replied “no just find somewhere else”. I can see from other peoples reviews that there are many issues similar with the bouncers. I suggest that changes are made but we will never be returning.

Visited during the day and the place was freezing cold, not relaxing.

Took 40 minutes for 5 cocktails to arrive (they were all the same and it was not a busy night) and then a service charge was added to the bill 🙄, on top of that they charged us for SEVEN cocktails instead of five. Had to hang around and wait even longer for that to get sorted when all I wanted to to was to get out of there. Music was too loud as well will not be going back 😒

We were refused entry for being "too drunk" after just one wine and one beer each, despite spending £90 each for entry and a booth. There were 8 of us, and they wouldn’t refund us or even look us in the eye when we asked for an email or contact number for the refund. The bouncers wrongly assumed the girl behind us was with us and said she wasn’t getting in. When I corrected them about our group, they picked our friend who didn’t even have a chance to show his ID and told him he was too drunk. I asked for body cam footage or a breathalyser to prove we weren’t drunk, but they laughed in my face. It felt like they were scamming us, making up criteria to deny entry and charging someone else at the door to take our place. After spending that much money, we were careful not to overdo it because we know how some bouncers can be. They let the rest of our party (5 people) in but charged an extra £40 because "the rest of your party aren’t here," even though we had already paid for everything. It’s just infuriating and feels like a scam, especially since we had proof we were sober. To top it off, we waited in the cold and rain for ages because the doors didn’t open on time, which sobered us right up from that one drink, only to be turned away at the door. This whole experience has left a really bad taste in my mouth.

Absolutely disgusting, pathetic and racist security guards at the door. My friend was allowed inside with some Europeans and was out again to meet us when we anrrived and then security said we aren’t allowed in? P.S - Before management replies to this comment that we were drunk, men to women ratio was not good, better dressed etc etc then PS we had not even had a drink, nor huge numbers plus we were wearing proper clothing for the pub. If the management doesn’t want particular race of people not to enter be at least have the courage to say it. Also, we have been allowed before inside this pub so we do respect your rules etc and we love the ambience that is the whole point of coming there.

been twice, poor service both times

We visited for first time today, staff attentive nice decor but very noisy atmosphere, especially when we were seated next to a rabble of men who had no consideration of other customers trying to have their lunch, shouting and running around, drawing attention to themselves. Very off putting, spoiled our first visit unfortunately 😕

Table was reserved from 9pm. We were sat at table from 7.30pm. Spent. A lot of money in this bar. Staff approached at 8.40lm, were not friendly and asked us to move as had a booking at 9pm even though no reservation card on table. Very rude, we said we would leave before 9pm. Said people had been waiting 15 mins even before 9pm. Awful acceptance of the fact we would leave before 9pm. Rude, inconsiderate and awful service. Would not recommend.

Waited about 40 minutes for a drink at the bar whilst everyone else was getting served at one end. To top it off, when sitting at a table having our drinks we had waited so long for, a member of staff came over with a reservation slip to tell us that the table was reserved for someone in 5 minutes. Nothing was mentioned about a reservation before this. The table could fit about 8 people and then the reservation came in and it was for 2 people?! So we were told not to sit at the table and then a bunch of other people went and sat next to them. Really wouldn't recommend this place I have never received such bad service in my life.

STAY AWAY! The door's bouncer is experiencing a power outage. preventing anyone from declaring, even when we have a booth package reserved, "I don't need to give a reason." Shame!

awful experiance- do not recommend had a booking with a 200£ deposit booked for my 21st birthday well in advance for 20 people. I arrived & let the bouncers i had a booking which he said was fine & he’d let me in a second. I let him know i was just waiting on the rest of my friends. When my friends arrived he gave them dirty looks, looked them up and down & asked me if ‘these were the friends i was waiting for’ which i replied yes. He told me to go find somewhere else tonight & when i questioned why he couldn’t give me a valid reason at all. 20 people not being let into somewhere they paid money to be at for my birthday, meanwhile they let two other people in right after us. awful service, so went to the social next door instead, where we were welcomed in with no problems at all.

Food was good, the young lad Callum that served us was very good and cocktails were good value at £4.95 was very dissapointed when we left and I noticed my bill when I got an alert later on, I contacted the place via the number on the Internet only to be told they couldn't query my bill as they were the booking line, so got the email address and contacted them asking to contact me back to query the bill and still a week later nobody has contacted me, so I will NOT be going back or recommending the place as they obviously have no intention of helping me query my high bill, very disappointed indeed.

Great for a night out. Music is great and atmosphere is great. Service at the bar is quick and great range of drinks to be had.

we had a booking for my 21st birthday and because it was a group of 10 lads we got turned away at the door even with the booking

Literally the worst experience I’ve ever had with security staff. I had a private room booked for my birthday last night (8th November) from 8pm which was already paid for. I turned up just before 8pm and security told me I would not be getting in, I told them I had a booking and had already paid for the room and he told me it didn’t matter and I would get refunded. I asked why we couldn’t get in and was told he doesn’t need to give me a reason, I also asked what I was supposed to do about the 23 other people that were due to turn up any minute as there was no chance we would get a booking elsewhere at such late notice and was told it’s not his problem. I continued to ask questions only for him to turn his back to me and completely ignore me which was beyond rude and unprofessional. Asked to speak to management from Kong and was told no as he was head of security. While I was talking to him my boyfriend phoned Kong and spoke to a member of staff there who told us that there was nothing they could do as it’s up to the security team whether people get in or not, and proceeded to state that I would get a refund in 5-7 business days! A group of 5 girls then walked up and were let in straight away 🤣 clearly if security don’t like the look of you then you just don’t get in. I also asked for the security guard’s name and badge number and was told no because I don’t work for police Scotland - even though I’m sure it’s a requirement from security staff to display their badge at all times. Completely baffled by the lack of respect we were given by security and staff from Kong, and if anyone is thinking about going here for drinks or booking a table/room I would avoid at all costs! Thankfully we went next door to The Social and they were able to accommodate us which we were so grateful for at such late notice, and staff/security in there couldn’t have been nicer, would highly recommend.

Avoid this place at all costs, had a booking which was already prepaid and the bouncers still did not let us in. Phoned up kong and they weren’t helpful atall and made up a lame excuse that the bouncers dont really work for us and couldn’t do anything for us. The party size was 25 people and to find something for group that size on a Friday night without a booking.

AVOID! The bouncer on the door is on a power trip. Not letting anyone in saying “I don’t need to give a reason” even when we have a booth package booked. Disgrace!

Worst security staff I’ve ever come across in my life. Wasn’t even able to enter, Saturday 5th of October 2024 at 2.30. The guy at the door seriously needs to be trained. Been in the hospitality industry for 15 years, never seen that level of rudeness and aggression to simply go for a drink on a Saturday afternoon. What a shame…

Had a reservation for the indoor roof area, beautiful surroundings & a great vibe. We were there for drinks, great choice and the offer on cocktails was on, so sampled a few 😜 aswell as the red wine. We sat in the outdoor area on the rooftop latterly, what a really nice vibe. Staff friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a visit.

Went to Kong wasn't impressed. First time there waited over 40 minutes for our drink order ... Spoke to 4 servicers and after 4th servicer got our order lame excuse the order was lost??? Honestly you can stick your potenous venue ...you wouldn't wait 40 minutes for your starter in a restaurant..ffs it's a drink not impressed it was SHITE! Not a happy chappy!!!

Subject: Serious Complaint Regarding Unprofessional Behavior by Security Personnel I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the experience I had at Kong on Monday, the 16th of September, at approximately 20:00. I visited the venue with the intention of evaluating it for a potential event booking. However, the security personnel on duty obstructed me from entering, despite my clear explanation of the purpose of my visit. When I requested to speak with the manager on duty, the security guard not only refused to contact them but also repeatedly ignored my straightforward request. I reiterated that my visit was for the purpose of booking an event, yet he continued to deny my request. To make matters worse, when I asked him to provide his name and display his security badge, he outright refused. Due to this unprofessional and discourteous conduct, Kong has not only lost the opportunity to host a future event but has also lost a client who will not be returning. I am uncertain of what policies this individual was following, but his actions undoubtedly contradicted the best interests of your establishment. I hope this matter is addressed promptly to prevent similar incidents in the future. Sincerely, Maris.

Lack of staff. Ordered 2 glasses champagne and waiting over 20 minutes. Told busy and short staffed. Typical example of owners profiteering! Lovely roof top. Lots of smokers as outside. Drinks just came, wrong!!!! How can you get champagne wrong. Rectified by a lovely waitress. Am taking my initial review of service from a 1 star to a 4. Thanks

Lovely venue and with great quality food. Simple menu but high quality. Service was excellent. Staff very friendly. There was an accident with delivery of one of our meals and they had to make one again. They were honest and open about the accident and then proceeded to remove the cost of meal from our bill without any request or complaint from ourselves. That is a service rarely seen these days and shows they value their customer experience. This was my last day in Glasgow before returning to Australia and made for a lovely afternoon.

MOST RACIST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD Few of my friends and I went to this cocktail "farce" to have some drinks. After even an hour except for our food none of the drink orders came. Every table in a 100 mile radius got served, except 8 of us. So we tried to get in touch with the staff. They said they "lost the check", which was utter nonsense since the food was part of the same check. Then they took another half an hour. And still missed a drink! AND THIS IS ON A MONDAY. Then the manager offered 50% discount on the drinks to make up, we felt that was the first sign of decency in the evening. We paid for each of our drinks. But after that, every 10 seconds she (or she would send one of her staff) kept coming to our table for a "drink we didn't pay for" 3 pounds worth. Firstly, we all paid for our drinks. We checked our banks, we tallied the bill (even contacted MIT bcos somehow the KONG staff were privy to math of a higher order). Anyway, to cut a story short, we finally paid for that "missing drink". And before leaving I went to talk to the manager about this incident and she went on the defensive to suggest that we still owed her 5 quid. MY GAWD. What coke do these racists snort? I don't do reviews. But always got time for racists. Good day fellas. (Go to the wetherspoons next doors, and tip them good guys if you can)

Lovely wee hidden gem jungle roof bar in Glasgow center ! Cute decoration and good drinks 🍸 it’s raining when we visit, so we stayed inside , but sunny day would be lovely have a drink in the open roof area ⭐️🍸✨would like to come back to try again when the weather bit better

Had our engagement party on the rooftop bar and it was perfect. Great atmosphere, great music, buffet was delicious. Lexi was looking after us all day and made the experience so lovely. The doorman was so helpful, from carrying a pram up 2 massive flights of stairs and even took my friends luggage to store it away while she was at the party. We had a mix up with bills but Molly was on hand to sort it all out. Great memorable experience. Thankyou

I booked a family party on May 23rd for a table of 15, from 8-10. I paid £200 deposit on the 24th and pre-ordered drinks. This was a special occasion for my son, who was leaving to live abroad. We turned up on time, just left our house, and were refused entry. No reasons explained. The manager was too busy to speak to me. No calls back from Manager in 4 days. They had held my money for 11 weeks but there we were, 15 of us, 8pm Saturday with no where to go. Appalling service. Do not pre book events or pay upfront here...you have been warned.

Never written a negative review in my life but this time it’s necessary. Arrived at kong at 9:30pm for our rooftop reservation straight after our dinner to celebrate my friends 21st birthday a bit early, she’s 20 and I’m 21. The 2-3 bouncers asked for our ID, we said yes of course and handed them over, we were instantly met with “sorry you’re going to have to try somewhere else” we asked why? We were stone cold sober, dressed appropriately and had our reservation, my friend was asked for another form of ID, she holds a driving license and we offered to show our bank accounts with our names on them. We were still told no and refused. We were given absolutely NO reason to why we couldn’t enter, this caused us to miss our last train home which was at 9:48pm instead of the usual 11pm trains. This completely ruined our night and the bouncers are SO rude and uninterested. I have been in before and have NEVER been asked for another form, won’t be coming back! Avoid

Absolutely shocking booked the private room the box for my boyfriends birthday as a surprise, when his friends showed up the bouncer (stocky, blonde highlights, mid 30s possibly) turned them back and stated a booking doesn’t confirm entry and also stated to a friend of mine “I don’t need to give you a reason but I will give you a cause” when he was asked why he wasn’t allowing entry. Everyone was sober and just wanted to enjoy my boyfriend’s birthday yet it was ruined by the “head of security” do not recommend Kong to anyone. Wish I had recorded the bouncer as he was extremely rude towards myself and my friends. I have also been contacting Kong back and forth since February to confirm the booking and was turned back at the door on arrival. Would not recommend booking anything in advance with this place.

Had previously gave this a couple of stars based on service. 2nd visit and things have definitely improved, more staff and much more attentive. Food was good too.Wine glasses still not the best. Thanks to Deryn who was able to accommodate our seating request. We’ll be back. 😊

Was turned away on a weekday afternoon with a friend visiting from london. Thought the rooftop would be a nice place for lunch in the city. We were told on the door that they have a dress code and we were too casual? Polo shirt, jeans and loafers is too casual for lunch… There was nothing online mentioned about a dress code either, I can’t think of a single realistic reason why we would’ve been turned away. Really disappointing when having a visitor in the city, luckily plenty of better and friendlier places around.

Every table around us including ourselves waiting 20+ minutes for an order, wrong food sent to tables, multiple staff standing at bar doing nothing!! 20 minutes for drinks order to be taken, another 20 minutes for drinks to arrive. Tried to order food twice to be told by the waitress both times “I’ll be a minute”. Both times blatantly ignored! Really rude service again at the bar from the same blonde waitress when paying, smirked and no apology when complained. From someone who works in hospitality, WOULD NOT rush back here!

We will never come back. The manager needs to be changed. We were celebrating after a day of work and spent 50 minutes waiting for our dinner order, which was never taken. We ended up leaving without having dinner. They didn’t offer any solution or compensation, and the manager couldn’t handle the situation. They need to learn proper management. Terrible place. Great looking place but TERRIBLE service. Drinks took ages to arrive and half of them were missing, in a table of 8. We then ordered food and IT DID NOT ARRIVE. Guess what? The waitress never put it through and the KITCHEN CLOSED. Worse place I have been to, AVOID!

Went on a Tuesday afternoon for drinks on the roof terrace. It's a lovely space but service was sketchy. No toilet paper in the ladies' and a bit of a blank look when I told a member of staff. Midweek cocktail promotion is good value and prosecco was included. We didn't have food.

We booked a table in the covered rooftop patio for a late lunch on a Wednesday and it was brilliant. They are child/baby friendly until 6pm. Not great for prams as two flights of stairs but the hostess was very kind and informed us of that as I was booking on the phone and said she would get someone to help us. The food was all great, Caesar salad with chicken was fab. The chunky chips are good and crispy. The fish and chips was good but went a bit soggy on the bottom and the chips that were under the fish. They have a few £6 cocktails during the week and one special one each week. I would definitely go back.

Lovely place mixed ages which was good let down by very poor service

Ordering 4 drinks at the downstairs bar, the bar person served 2 drinks out the 4 and asked us to pay, we advised that we were still waiting on 2 cocktails, he said his shift was finished and someone else will do the other 2, so not a good start! Decided to go up to roof top bar for next round, sat for ages, plenty of staff around but they weren't on the game, no organisation amongst staff, went to bar and eventually got our round, wine glass dirty so back to bar to get sorted, didn't seem that bothered but changed the glass. Next round, did manage to get someone to take order, waited ages for drinks, and once again another dirty glass, friends glasses dirty as well only noticed when they were half way down, they were lucky they were using the straws, so beware. Every table on roof top bar had ashtrays so not pleasant to sit in. Then ordered another round, waited half an hour and we decided to leave, we won't be back! They are missing a trick that's for sure and need managers that know what they are doing, when I pointed out the state of the glasses, there just didn't seem to be any concern!

Fantastic venue and food is great. The rooftop is a brilliant addition to Glasgow and the place to be whenever the sunshine is out. The staff are very attentive and always welcoming.

The venue is genuinely lovely but aside from normal drinks being super expensive there was also clearly a mouse issue. This was mentioned to the staff as we left quickly after. The pictures are screenshots from a video i took, but Google wont let me upload it.

Beautiful setting, cocktails we tried were all really sweet so ended up drinking wine. Bar staff were all lovely but all seemed really inexperienced asking one member for help having to be told to wipe down bar etc. Food looked good but we try any.

Went here in the afternoon with some friends for drinks. Very popular place. Awesome rooftop bar! Think we got in just in time as plenty of space inside and out but it did get very busy just after we arrived. It’s table service and due to how busy it was we did wait a while in between drinks but the drinks themselves were really nice. Had some wine and some espresso martinis. Good wine choice for whites.

The service is horrendous. We went at 7:30pm and a waitress took the menus away because apparently the kitchen was closing. We ordered drinks which took forever the come. An hour later, around 8:30pm, we are seeing food being served. We ask another waitress how is this possible, they say that the kitchen closes at 8:45pm We ordered some drinks and chips and they forgot the order completely. We had to remind them to get it. The atmosphere was nice with elegant decor and the weather was nice. I don't recommend this place.

I remember this place pre-covid as One Up, I was expecting something amazing judging by the reviews I'd seen on social media. However, it looks the same, essentially. The food was mediocre at best, the service was full of inexperienced young staff. I really wished I'd booked Banco D'Roma, which is across the road. I wouldn't rush back. If you're looking for quality, you won't find it here. No pics, it wasn't worth the effort!

very slow service the two times i’ve been in. negroni tasted fine but poor presentation and didn’t have the right type of ice for the glass but not a big deal. food looked good from what i could see. Glassy swiped my partners drink and shrugged his shoulders after we told him. Wouldn’t go back but definitely a very good looking rooftop bar.

Lovely place staff lovely however….. Had reserved a table and waitress took a cocktail order ONE HOUR LATER despite numerous updates saying drinks were just coming ! Still nothing left without anything!!! Staff apologetic but was awful and very disappointing.

We sat and waited at the bar for quite a bit before someone took our order. My mom later tried asking a bartender a question and got completely ignored. The watermelon martini is good if u like sweet drinks but they way overfill it with ice. My mom tried ordering 3 different drinks and they didn’t have any of them. Not very great service.

Staff are unbelievably rude & cold, couldn’t order at the bar - table service only (wouldn’t be a problem if there wasn’t such a horrendous wait for drinks). My friend had to ask several members of staff for a glass of tap water, was rather difficult to get a drinks order in. We were also overcharged after their mistake with a drink where I was asked to try them as the server didn’t know what they were 😭 In the end, I’m not sure what the 12.5% service charge was for, the service was abysmal. *amending my review* I recently attended Kong for a family member’s birthday party and have only just found out how the night unfolded. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!

Not one for writing bad reviews but this was awful. Booked a table for my birthday, arrived a bit early but was happy to wait or go somewhere else if needed. Girl at the front desk was really nice and said just head upstairs it should be fine. Greeted by another lovely staff member at the door who said it was fine and to grab a drink at the bar. Was rudely informed by the bar tender that it was table service only and to sit down, even though other people were ordering drinks at the bar. Place was mobbed but managed to grab a table. Sat for 40mins without any service and eventually just left. Seemed like the only people getting table service were the ones sitting outside as the 2 tables behind and beside us inside weren’t getting table service either. Poor communication from staff and seemed really unorganised. This was all on a Monday as well I can’t imagine how much worse it is on weekends. Don’t waste your time here it's one of the worst places I’ve ever been to. Book anywhere else it’ll be half the price and double the service.

Better staff and better atmosphere round the corner at the Wetherspoons

Booked a table for the outside rooftop bar weeks in advance and I specifically booked this area for my boyfriend’s birthday. When arrived we had to wait a while to get in as the girls at the desks were having an issue with the customers in front and their booking. When we were finally escorted to our seats it was the inside bar. It was a hot day and busy but I explained I specially booked outside rooftop and they said I didn’t and tried to undermine me. I finally got to speak to someone else who was immediately rude/nasty and honestly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. She clicked on the booking and it clearly stated outside rooftop bar and I was again told I could only sit inside. Regardless of how their disorganised booking system works, the staff at the front desk have the worst customer service and should not be working in the hospitality industry. Needless to say I did not sit inside and I left upset, so I can’t comment on their overpriced cocktails. Do not recommend to anyone unless you want and overall awful experience.

Honestly horrendous!! Greeted at the top of the stairs by a lovely member of staff, sat at our table, she didn't explain anything though so we waited 10 mins for a drink order to be taken, the food arrived before drinks, the food was not great! Then halfway through eating someone came up to the table with a bill and said "it's pay as you go so just need to take payment now" so rude! Won't be going back

Bouncer is in the closet, don’t book it because it doesn’t guarantee a table or entry which is surely supposed to be the whole point of booking it in the first place.

Stood for over 45 minutes waiting to be served at the bar. In there just over two hours and we only managed to have 2 drinks each. By the 3rd time standing queuing at the bar we gave up and gave our reserved table away and went elsewhere. Total joke to expect people to stand and wait that length of time to be served. And some of the attitudes of the staff were terrible. Literally couldn’t care less!

Booked table in rooftop garden and bar below. Took at least 40mins each time to get a drink, staff are cold with little to no interaction - seemed very disorganised. We were asked very rudely to leave our table 10mins before the end of the booking so that they could clean it for the next booking. Downstairs there were 2 staff making cocktails in a busy Friday night, with again no eye contact from staff and several customers leaving because of delay in getting drinks. Nice looking bar - no substance or atmosphere! Won't be back

We arrived for our booking and I had asked if there was any space on the roof, I was curtly told no which I understand as it was very busy however was slightly disappointed no one even checked there wasn't space for 2. There seemed to be a bit of difficulty finding our reservation. We were seated at a large table and twice were approached by staff informing us that the table we were sitting at was reserved to which we had to inform them we were aware as it was our reservation. I'm not sure if your establishment is normally table service but we were not offered any drinks or given a food menu. Eventually I went up to the bar for drinks, ordered and paid and only when returning to the table realised I had been charged a 12.5% gratitude without any prior discussion. Normally I have no issue tipping staff when a service has been provided but when already paying for expensive drinks at the bar I find it very presumptuous to assume we'd be happy to tip. I have to admit, our cocktails were lovely but we were frequently disturbed by people asking us for extra chairs as the planning of group size to tables were obviously not well thought out. Generally speaking the service was poor with many wait staff standing around on phones or chatting to each other rather than serving tables waiting. After around 20 minutes we decided that it wasn't worth waiting around for better service and took our business elsewhere.

Awesome roof terrace, very cool vibes and lovely staff. I'm booking an event now on the roof terrace for my staff as we had such a good time last week.

Rude staff man-handled my friend, and kicked her out of her own birthday event for no reason. Bad atmosphere, and embarrassingly poor treatment of customers. Avoid!

I was at a party organised and paid for by a friend. However, my friend wasn't allowed in to attend her own party. Confusing and disorganised.

Very poor service A shame the staff and quality didn’t match the look of the place. It just isn’t the best experience, I won’t be back not worth at all. The bouncer with the blonde hair he was so aggressive.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour, Booked a table for a birthday upstairs at the roof top bar paid money and wasn’t even allowed to go back upstairs when they let other people in, my friend got dragged outside on her birthday just because she asked to go back to the roof bar where she booked her table . Absolutely ridiculous service and atmosphere

Absolutely disgrace of a business, booked for a party of 18 odd was booked months in advance, paid deposit and get to the door on the night to first be told ‘there’s no booking under the name’ then go on to tell us the bookings for a different time which was incorrect as we had email confirmation THEN tell us that we aren’t getting in and they don’t have to give us a reason?😂😂the staff were absolutely disgraceful the cheek off them was an absolute joke.

I recently attended a friend's birthday party at Kong, where she had booked three tables and a drinks and snacks package. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing and marred by poor service and unprofessional behavior. Despite an expected guest list system, we faced long waits at the entrance. Upon arrival, strangers occupied the reserved tables, and the staff made no effort to resolve this. Instead, they tried to remove her guests saying the tables were reserved. Dirty glasses and a delayed drink package further detracted from the night, along with missing and incorrect mixers. The venue's cleanliness was appalling, with visibly dirty glasses. Overpriced drinks and snacks added to the frustration, feeling like a blatant money grab. When we tried to return to the rooftop bar from the main bar, a bouncer was aggressively unhelpful, threatening to remove the birthday girl - instead of clarifying the re-entry process to the roof top bar (where her guests and the tables and packages she’d paid for were). Rather than ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment, they seemed more interested in belittling and shouting at guests. This unprofessional behavior continued, culminating in three bouncers forcibly removing her without cause, leaving her outside alone in the rain without her belongings. They did not make any attempt to inform any of her guests of her whereabouts - we were left to worry about her given the phone signal was basically non-existent. Meanwhile, a very drunk and disruptive guest from another party spilled drinks from our table on us, smashing several glasses in the process, and was allowed to stay and continue drinking without any staff intervention. My friend was obviously very upset by this experience, and it was distressing to see how the bouncers handled her (two large male bouncers and one female bouncer), especially given the amount of money she had spent. Their behavior was entirely unacceptable, leaving her in a dangerous and compromising position. Overall, I cannot recommend Kong to anyone looking for a fun and safe night out. Our experience reflects issues mentioned in other reviews, which I wish we had taken more seriously.

Visited kong on a quiet Monday with my sister who was over visiting me , hostess at the door was quite welcoming and told us to choose a seat on the terrace , was quite excited to visit this place as heard so much about it and it is so close to my flat , sat in our seats and got ignored a few times by staff , 2 ladies sat next to us and got served right away me and my sister were left sitting clearly with nothing on our table and food menus in front of us so I decided to go to the bar myself to order 2 drinks , about 6 staff on just standing around chatting which I don’t mind as I am a manager in a busy restaurant and bar myself and it’s nice to get those moments if no one is needing service but we were , I then went back to my seat with the drinks and we sat again and again with lots of servers looking at us and walking on, one staff member in particular looked like she was in space she hadn’t a clue where she was just dragging her feet around clearly not wanting to be there looking for something to do and we tried to call her over she actually looked at us and walked on, we tried to call someone else over and got ignored again , she then proceeded to go over to the 2 ladies sat next to us who were also in shock and disgusted and how much we were being ignored , they also had to send their wine glasses back as they were extremely dirty and the waitress returned with 2 soaking wet glasses not even polished , we just finished our drinks and walked out , I will never step foot in the place again clearly they had something against us and I will be telling all my regulars and co workers to stay clear , also to clarify this was a quiet Monday around 12:30 in the day with about 5 more tables sat around us who were already eating , zero excuses for the pathetic service .

Visited for birthday drinks at the rooftop bar. Highly recommend the watermelon martini! Service was a bit unusual as it seemed like there was an overwhelming number of staff in a small area just kind of standing about, and we had three different servers and all of them seemed as though they weren’t fully trained.

Great atmosphere, very busy but it took 1 hr to get a drink, once getting served it took an excessively long for these drinks to be made. A bit of training would go a long way. More staff at peak times would be great. We really should have left but my friend really wanted to try their cocktails 🍹 Atmosphere good and staff friendly.

Great bar, always busy and lively, security staff are excellent and Kong is one of Glasgow's best bars.

Maybe the worst service ive experienced. Walk in the bar to see about 12 people behind just standing, no idea what was going on. Ordered drinks afyer being told to find ourown table. Im not exaggerating here but we waitong 45 mins for 2 drinks. Staff had to be prompted twice for our order. Loads staff just dittering about. Extremely rude.
