KOKORO Guildford Friary Centre in Guildford

Just popped in to buy some takeaway food. It looked nice but sadly, was not good to eat. The noodles were dry, bland and with no flavor, the sweet and spicy chicken was tasteless. Very dull and boring and very expensive for a small sized tub @ £10!!!

Food is not good.staff are not coming to take orders . If customers are front of counter they have to come and ask but they didn’t

Great Asian food, reasonable price, their katsu curry sauce is the best!! The staff were very friendly as wall. Would recommend.

The tofu katsu is delicious and I regularly order it. Portion sizes are always generous and even the sushi is more filling than I expected. I ordered from a friendly member of staff too.

Absolutely my fave place for a convenient lunch in Guildford! The food is always high quality with great taste and Rawiwan served me with fab customer service!!!

Service was good, but the food quality needs improving. The salmon on the salmon nigiri - was cut so thinly, the rice to fish ratio was off. The miso soup had not been stirred or didn't have much miso paste added, as it tasted more of hot water flavoured with spring onions.

Really great tasting food for a reasonable price, I ordered a Katsu curry and unfortunately it slid off the tray, went on the floor. The staff were kind enough to give me another free of charge. So I would like to say thank you to the staff working midday on Thursday 17th august. 👍

This is my second time to try Kokoro in Guildford. I Tried one before in high street and the experience wasn’t great but this time is different than that. I am having sweet & chilli chicken with noodles in a regular bowl. Even it is just a regular size but still very filling and very big protein to me. Cost £7.30 something I can’t remember but I think it is a reasonable price. And the taste is quite nice not very salty with a bit spicy 🌶️🤪 I like that! If you can’t handle the spicy taste you can choose their sweet & sour chicken 🐔 that one is not spicy 🤤

Very poor customer service, picked up food and waited for ages, only to be directed to another till which by this point had grown a large queue, put the food down and walked away, what a joke, no signs to say you can’t buy hot and cold food at the same time, if someone wants to spend money with you, take it…

No organisation, thought I was queuing correctly then I was directed to the left to queue. Then just as I was about to be served I was directed back to the right again which meant I was back of queue. Gave up and left.

I reviewed the friary so my thoughts are clear. I had a VERY BAD EXPERIENCE! Here, I decided to treat myself which sadly almost landed me in hospital. I ordered sweet and sour chicken I wandered around to find a place to sit looked at the meal thought it looked strange but dismissed it BIG mistake I took one bite and almost suffocated! instead of sweet and sour chicken I instead was given sweet chili pork as I have a mild intolerance to some of these ingredients I can experience allergic reactions!!. My experience only got worse, after a few minutes of calming myself down I went back to the counter to explain their mistake but they argued with me instead telling me I ordered wrong and that they didn't make a mistake as I had no receipt to prove them wrong I insisted I wouldn't make such a mistake they then tried to back track and cover up by saying "they must of gotten mixed up as they are next to each other " I started to get a little angry but asked give me what I ordered and leave it at that they took the poison food back throw it away and gave me what I wanted and treated it like (oh what ever). If I decide to treat myself again I'll make sure to avoid this place

Dreadful customer service. Food was not much to write home about either. Plenty of other fast food outlets in Guildford that are more worthy of your money.

We have ordered chicken katsu udon and the lady said it will be prepare for 5 minutes. Eventually, we have waited for more than 20minutes and we asked them where is the food. They said 'Ohh yeah we forgot', and thats it, no apologies, theres lack of staff to deal with the customers. For everyone who wants to eat Asian food please do not go Kokoro, unfriendly staff, price was not reasonable at all.

went for the lunch ... ordered spicy pork...rubbish customer service..the lady who severed me was rude.. spicy pork was not even spicy...

Great food, I like their sweet chilli dish, this restaurant is halal. It also has good service and is available on Deliveroo and probably other delivery apps.

I have always ordered from Kokoro And was very annoyed to have ordered 6 meals today And only 5 arrived ? I called the kokoro shop, only to be told they could not do anything as they remember 6 I replied I did not receive 6. They were so so unhelpful I was rurally surprised on how I was treated They did not deserve any stars I only gave 1 star because I could not send review without a star Bad attitude and the service awful

I am living in Guildford for around 5 years and having chicken katsu with rice like a once per week. And it was so tasty and chicken so good and price also amazing but it was on North Street. 5 months ago I moved to different city and visit Guildofrd yesterday I was so happy when I noticed that kokoro is in Friary center, didn't think a lot and go for katsu. The worst katsu I ever had, saouce was bland, totally tasteless, chicken was chawy and not eatable at all. I was so disappointed it is not a kokoro what I loved. Not going to visit again.

It smelled lush but I have not been there but it smells very yummy. Yum yum yum

I went with the katsu curry with rice, small portion. Definately very generous serving for lunch, if your really really hungry go for the medium. For a cheap and cheerful quick lunch. It's reasonably priced at 6.25 and rice is not too claggy for fast food. Chicken is a very generous portion, crunchy and not too dry. The katsu is very nicely spiced and tasty. All in all very good

Kokoro is a place to pop in for a great hot food once a week or so. The taste is pretty consistent so you can expect quite a standard food every time. Not far from us probably only a couple of minutes walk toward Friary shopping centre and you'll find us behind Metro Bank.

Massive portions and tastes delicious, not dirt cheap but it's worth it over a Subway for something interesting and full of flavour.

I like the food very much, prices are good, portions are good but the people who work there are such a let done and are really rude, they need to get there act together because it ruins the reputation

It is the first time that we have been in this "fast-food" chain and it was awesome, for 6,20 we got a large plate. I eat a lot and after having it i was completly full and my gf couldnt finish it and she took away. It was really tasty the sweet & chilly pork is so good and the curry chicken as well. I have said "fast-food" because it is the same food that you would have in an asian restaurant but just served in a simply way without ornaments so I don't think it is fast-food at all. It is in the mall center so the tables are of the mall not of the restaurants and if your friends don't like it they can get food from other chain like subway or macdonalds and sit together. For sure I will going to more Kokoros in the future!
