Kody’s Mediterranean Restaurant and Cafe in Newcastle upon Tyne

Kody's Mediterranean is an absolute gem! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality in every bite—from the perfectly seasoned kebabs to the salads, the salad dressing ,homemade burgers, spicy homemade sauces and the tenderness of the chicken and meats.The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. It’s clear that Kody’s takes pride in both their cuisine and their customer service. Highly recommend to anyone craving authentic Mediterranean flavors. It's my favourite restaurant from now on and I've even asked if I can move in lol. Thank you to all the amazing staff. Sheela & Carl.

I recently visited Kody’s restaurant, and I must say, I had a lovely experience! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, which made me feel right at home as soon as I walked in. I ordered the shish tawouk, and it was cooked to perfection—juicy and flavorful. The staff was friendly and attentive. I ordered their smoothies, which was a delightful addition to the meal. Overall, I left feeling satisfied and eager to return. If you’re looking for a cozy spot with good food and great service, I definitely recommend Kody’s Restaurant!

I wasn't sure when I entered the restaurant. I had looked at the menu on my phone and knew what I wanted. Meat mixed grill. I wanted the meal but not chicken wings, the staff offered me a chicken alternative. When I got the meal home and opened it, it was fantastic and enormous. The meat was perfectly cooked moist and awash with flavour and mix of spices. It was outstandingly excellent and a real.mix of delicious meat. I strongly recommend this unassuming small cultural jewel. The chips I would swap for a a vegetable fried rice (if possible). My first but not my last experience. I strongly recommend it. Chef is modest but extraordinarily skilled, can't wait to meet him again. We'll done - Charles 🥂

First visit here . extremely friendly staff. we ordered the full chicken platter to take away. Wow so much food and beautifully cooked . Definitely going to return and try different dishes. You won't be disappointed Dave and Sheelagh

Amazing grill, friendly atmosphere, delicious food.

Amazing food. As good as any restaurant in the city centre. We had the Biryani and it was delicious. Presented as if it was from a Michelin star ⭐ restaurant. A good price, and we walked out stuffed. Really big serving.

I have no words to express how the experience in this restaurant is. Great staff, nice and clean environment, humble people and of course excellent food with great prices.

I wish I knew of this place before today so I wouldn't have to travel to Bradford just to get a decent meal. The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The portion sizes were outrageously massive and I can confirm that I am now in a pleasant food coma. Oh yeah, the prices were very low for the quality! Everything is freshly made; the bread, the sauces, everything! It was so good, I got a takeaway for my son too. Humongous portion for a giant lad :)

A Hidden secret found off the beaten track of Shields road. The full chicken platter has made me reevaulate why I ever went to Nandos 🤣. They also must have put something in the special Kody's sauce as I always have to order extra being a sauce person. The chicken is flavourful and has a bit of heat, the sauce and the salad compliment the dish and the rice is beautifully cooked. Can't wait to be back for my next chicken fix ❤. Shout out to Kody who came to check in on us after our meal!👌

Can’t really get over how incredible the food is. Chicken aribiatta something I’d never usually order cause too bland, it’s like nothing I’ve ever had, absolutely beautiful! Also tried the chips and Cajun wrap and both incredible Have already recommended to all my friends

Kody was a serendipitous find but we enjoyed the food very much. We caught them on a bad day - quite a few dishes were unavailable but the chicken kofta and shish tawook and all the sides were amazing. It’s rare for me to love everything on a plate at a restaurant (or decide that I must take the leftover rice home) but Kody’s hit the spot. Would be happy to come back and try something else off the menu!

Great food, friendly service. Portions were big so my teenage son had to help me out and was full! Quite a locals place, so we stood out, but no issues.

Passed this place loads and decided to jump in. I have NEVER tasted food like it!!!! Tucked away in a little corner in Byker it was a massive surprise. I got the lamb footage wrap and it was packed, hot tasty and juicy. Hubby got mixed grill and physically couldn't finish it. Son got pizza and loved that too. 100% is our new favourite place to eat!!!! Go you won't regret it!!!!

I a 100% ✨recommend this restaurant. I brought my mother who was visiting from Botswana and she absolutely loved everything from the food to the amazing customer service. We ordered a half chicken with chunky chips and a bbq chicken pizza and it was delectable 👌. The chicken was juicy and very well seasoned. The portion sizes were more than satisfactory. Definitely coming back in the near future.

Man, what do I say about Kodys? What a little hidden gem! I used to live in the area but moved a few years back and man how Shields road has changed, there’s so much more quality in places to eat now! And Kody’s is definitely one place to go! Staff are so friendly, selection of the food to dine in or take away is great (there’s ample room to sit in and can also watch TV for football in the evenings) and there are delicious choices of meals. I went for the lamb kebab, no regrets! Excellent quality and portions, delicious flavours and very reasonable prices! Will definitely be coming back!!! Excellent!!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kody Restaurant Mediterranean food, on and I must say, the food was absolutely delicious! From the appetizers to the main course, every dish was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The presentation was also top-notch. I highly recommend trying the Kody’s y- it was truly a standout. The service was also excellent, with attentive staff taking care of all our needs. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and will definitely be returning@ Marie Bnn in the future. 5 stars!

Delicious food and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. We have tried the tilapia, mixed grill, steak and pizza - all equally delicious! The food is beautifully presented and the staff are great. 10/10 recommend.
