What a great place my daughter is cat crazy and absolutely loved it here. I was a little sceptical about a cafe with cats wondering about but it was immaculate. My daughter also has multiple food allergies and the staff were so thorough when ordering to ensure none of her allergens were present in the dishes. We will definitely return .

Not as good as expected… 20 minute wait just to be seated when we booked at 4pm. Tried to charge my 14 year old sister for an adult without even asking for age. Staff looked unhappy to be there too, tutting and moaning about the kids on the headset. Kids running around, didn't even get to stroke a cat because they kept running towards them scaring them away every-time they came near us, the rules are there for a reason and i think kids need to be accompanied with a parent at all times because we were both excited to come today. The outcome was disappointing.

I don’t like cats but I got to pet one and now I really want a cat. I went here for my birthday and it made the day slightly better.

Lovely to spend time with the cats . There were many happy to walk around but some liked some fuss . It was nice to see them play and even though some wished not to be touched they were happy to be in the cafe area

We waited purr-cisely 42 minutes to be served and it took 1hr to get food which is just pawful. There was an incident where midway through our table ordering our waiter had to be called away and when we purr-litley reminded them that we had not yet ordered, we overheard a member of staff complaining about one of our party asking why we hadn't been served in almost 45 minutes. Yet paw-don me but the steep £8 entrance fee covered a mere hour table reservation. It's hard to be paw-sitive when the food was mediocre itself and the customer service simply paw. The cats were also extremely reluctant to be petted so safe to say this visit was anything but hiss-terical and I will not be coming back any meowment soon.

Cats really well looked after, they have so much space to run around :) came for an afternoon with friends for a birthday for coffee and snacks while out in brum. The food and drinks were good and staff friendly ! Most importantly..cats were adorable.

Really lovely atmosphere, the food and drinks were reasonably priced and good quality. The cats are free to roam and we had lots of interaction with them (there are house rules on hygiene and how you interact with them and the staff were quick to clean the areas between customers) Highly recommend to cat lovers !

My experience was mediocre. Visually the place looks fantastic and really cute with how the cats can climb everywhere. However the cats didn't seem to want to talk to anyone and just ran away. Now this isn't their fault, I can only imagine how terrifying so many people wanting to pet you could be. But that makes me wonder if a place like this is a good idea in the first place because of this. Food was okay but very overpriced.

We have had a fab morning at the kitty cafe. Great facilities for the kitties. Lovely toastie, latte and cake! My son and I had a great time.

The establishment is lovely and the good was great. The thing I was disappointed with was the welfare of the cats. There were so many children running after cats, disturbing them when sleeping and not abiding by the rules you have to read before going in.

Such a fun place to visit! I wasn't sure what to expect after reading some of the reviews but it was great fun. We were sat in a great spot where most of the cats congregated. Some of the cats weren't interested in being stroked but there was a couple of the cats that we saw that liked a fuss and some even enjoyed playing with the cat toys with my child. Hot chocolates and brownies tasted delicious too. Would definitely recommend and will certainly visit again

It was not so busy and sat on comfortable sofa. Had a meal with my family saw 6 to 7 cats you can walk around and look at cats friendly place. Meals lovely if want more than hr can ask. But book in advance

Oh dear. I had such high expectations but this was a huge disappointment. The service was good but that is the only good bit. We ordered a pizza and chicken wrap. No cutlery or napkins were provided and they were definitely needed as the pizza topping just slid off and it all fell apart. The wrap similarly fell apart and consisted of 2 pieces of breaded overcooked spicy chicken, grated cheese (not melted), lettuce and onion. There were a large number of children there all of them breaking the ‘rules’ we had supposedly signed up to. Following the cats around, waking up sleeping cats and one little angel shoulder barged a lady IN HER SEAT whilst she was eating to get at a cat that had settled behind her. None of the staff did anything about this. No wonder most of the cats wandering around seemed to swerve out of the way whenever someone looked like they were getting too close. I won’t be revisiting.

I visited the Kitty Cafe for my birthday in February. I absolutely loved the place. It was clean and set out really well for the cats and visitors. We spent 2 hours there as an hour just wasn't enough. We had caramel coffees which were lovely. No food as we were going for a meal afterwards. The cats were all beautiful. Some more friendly than others. You could fuss and cuddle the cats if they were happy for you to. You aren't allowed to pick them up which I understand. I fell in love with a few and I belive you can adopt from there. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be returning. Anyone who could leave a bad review for this place must not have gone there as it really is just fabulous. We will be back very soon.

I had heard about the Kitty Cafe a while back during lockdown, it is an experience that I wanted to do. I have autism, and I have autism, so it was both something I knew I would enjoy. I originally booked a table online to not expect disappointment, but I was able to easily rearrange (cancelling and then rebooking) The booking process was easy and I was easily able to book a table for the cafe. When I got there, I thought I would be greeted by someone at reception, but there was no one there. Of course, I understand that the staff could be all over the place, but it would have been nice to been greeted to reduce anxiety. There was a button, a bell, to call the people to come, which then they did come. They did eventually come, made me sign some stuff (which is basically to abide by their rules that they set out) and then we had to pay the wellfare fee of £7, which I don't mind as this'll go to looking after the cats. When we got into the place, the person took us to our table, which were two chairs next to a coffee table. We had chose to have a kitty meal deal which was valued for £14.95, which included, a main, a side or a dessert, and a drink. Me and my friend ordered the meat pizzas, I had a milkshake, he had a J2O (which came with its normal glass bottle and a glass) and I had a victorian sponge cake and he had a bakewell tart. As for the pizza, they were home made, so I was excited to get my mouth around that (which was valued at £10.75 without any extras), however, when I picked it up with my hands, like you do with a pizza, it broke and all the toppings fell off, so I was basically eating bread with sauce. The pizza itself was cut into slices like a traditional pizza, so I was questioning whether I had to use a knife and fork to cut up the slices to eat the pizza to prevent it from breaking apart. Next we had our drinks, which for me, the milkshake was nice (valuing at £3.95 and £2.95 for the J2O) As for our desserts, they were nice and tasty, however the portion was very small and didn't look like a slice of a cake, it looked more like an extract (valuing at £4.45) so in total, we were eating a kitty meal deal for the value of £19.15, saving £4.15. Did I enjoy the Kitty meal deal? I didn't really due to the pizza breaking apart, but the milkshake was delicious. Next, lets talk about accessability; being someone who struggles with mobility is a must for me. I will admit when I booked the table, I forgot to include this (which i'll remember for next time) which then the server placed us both on two comfy chairs next to a coffee table. It was very difficult for me to eat my pizza as I ultimately had to bend to get to the pizza and ultimately carry the plate with my hands (which because the pizza was breaking apart, it was getting on my clothes) I would have liked to sit in an area where I could get out and about easily to go and see the cats (which i'll explain in the next part) Other than that, the chairs were comfy and we were able to relax and chat. Now we get to the main part; the kittens! This is the reason that drove me here, the niché experience that I was going to go through is what made me happy. I didn't expect much as I knew that the cats here were rescue cats, so their behaviours would vary, and to my surprise, the cats themselves were very nice. They would walk around, I would try and call them over, but they wouldn't come over (I think they were more interested in the kids who were playing with them, however I was able to get some strokes and pets from them, which they recieved well, this made me really happy. Now I go to the next part; other people breaking the rules. Before you enter the cafe itself, people must sign a form to show that you'll abide by the rules and if you break them, you will be removed from the cafe itself. When going there on Monday 4th March in the hour between 17:00 and 18:00, I saw several people breaking the rules at the cafe itself, there were children cornering and picking up the cats, which understanding that they are rescue cats, can damage them as some people may not know how to carry them correctly; what annoyed me the most was that an adult was holding the cats (The person brought kids with them) and was giving a bad example to those kids and the others. Was there any action taken? I honestly not sure. They were there till the end and were not asked to leave. Overall, my experience at the Kitty Cafe was average, having its ups and downs. Will i come again? Of course I will, but i'll probably just come to view the cats :)

I was so looking forward to visiting the café for the first time and sadly it was a really disappointing experience. We were allocated a table for 2 with chairs that felt miles apart from each other which is really awkward for conversation. The lighting was WAY too bright. This café could be so cosy but zero thought has gone into making it a nice atmosphere. The food was decent but why no chips or at least salsa for the quesadillas? We wanted cake afterwards, but weren’t allowed because our hour was up. Really, we couldn’t even get a brownie to go in a paper bag? Service was pretty poor, we were rushed, had to ask and wait around for sauces (by all means, please take your time considering we only have a very strictly timed 60 minutes). No sugar with the coffee etc. Table also far too low to eat off, again zero thought gone into it actually being a nice café to sit in. I feel like this café should be for adults only, or at least offer adults only times. There were kids who had snuck in cat treats and were feeding the cats despite the clear rules, I don’t understand why parents find it so difficult to follow them. You should also get longer than an hour. Even high end restaurants you get two hours, especially considering you’re charged £7 per person to enter the café before you’ve even ordered food or a drink.

Even though we booked weeks ahead we waited in a long queue to get in, only for the person at the til to be on the phone talking to someone else in between talking to us, and trying to book other people in as well as us. Cost: we then paid £7 per adult and £5 per child just to get in. Waiting time: we waited in the ‘waiting area’ to be seated for about 5 minutes once we were finally inside the cafe. The area was a cramped corner of the cafe with people trying to push past with pushchairs, kids running around, servers taking drinks to tables etc, made you feel really awkward and in the way We then waited over 10 mins to be served once at our table and over 30 minutes for the food to come out. Bear in mind they only give you can hour slot here. Food: food was bad quality considering we paid around £15 each for a basic cheese pizza, a cake and some juice. The table next to us complained and I could understand why, their jacket potato was so burnt I could smell it, and their wraps looked undercooked. The staff offered them a 10% discount but nothing more. Our desserts came out before our main meal which was strange. Cats: the cats seem well looked after and pretty chill considering the noise and chaos around them. But many of them were high up and avoiding the screaming children below. Atmosphere: the atmosphere was uncomfortable. Children were chasing cats around unsupervised and no one seemed to care. It was the atmosphere of a soft play area and not a relaxing environment. Whenever a cat would come near us , a child would lean over us and scare it away. This is not the children’s fault but just a warning on what to expect. Overall paid £65 for an hour where two adults and one child had some basic food and stroked maybe one cat. More stressful than anything. Wouldn’t be back. Two stars because the cakes were nice and the cats seemed healthy, and the entry fee goes to the cat rescue.

Booked less than 24 hours before going - booking to take 4 year old grandson out for lunch. After receiving an email to confirm I was intending to dine I was greeted with sorry there is no hot food the kitchen is having work done. No alternative sandwiches or wraps on offer and only 3 out if 4 cakes available. Disappointed but ordered a milk shake and coffee only to have the waitress spill the milkshake all over my chat and my legs . Left demanding entrance fee back. I was told they didn’t know the kitchen was going to be shut. What a poor show and poor organisation- and a very upset little boy to be having his lunch elsewhere

I had a pathetic experience. We went there as my 5 year old loves cats and dogs and it turned into a nightmare for us. One of the cats scratched my daughter and now she is so scared. We werent given any advice/ document about the possibility of scratching or biting. Also, the staff was really impolite, It was a very bad experience, will never ever go there again. They should really focus on the behavioral aspect atleast. we had ordered food, paid the entry fees, everything seems to be wasted.

Lovely cafe and cats. Quiet calm environment. Cats are rehomed and rescued here to give them a second chance which I find amazing for the animals. Good strict rules for the cats welfare and environment customers must follow. I didn't mind being charged on arrival as the money goes towards the rescue and cats. Kindest staff. My little one (11-yo) had been here before and was excited at the prospect of going together. I liked the concept of chilling out next to furry friends, so we booked ourselves in a couple of weeks in advance. We turned up on the day to find a queue, but were let in swiftly... for an admission fee (£12). The place was somewhat overcrowded and we were cramped into a corner but, at least, it was relatively quiet with minimal human traffic. Cats were milling around apprehensively, engaging in minimal interaction. By the time we'd ordered and were served, half an hour had passed. Neither my daughter nor I got a chance to unwind or even to finish our meals before we were firmly, but politely, asked to depart as "other people are waiting". On the way out, we were charged another £24 for a half-consumed ciabatta sandwich, portion of nachos and a cup of coffee. The whole experience was more in keeping with a time-restricted visit to a theme park; or to a hurried indoor safari featuring domesticated mini-lions. Not my cup of tea.

We drove 2 hours to get here as a treat for my daughter. We were 5 minutes late and joined the back if the queue to wait to go inside. It was half term so didn't mind waiting. 20 minutes later so 25 minutes after our booked time we got to the front. As soon as we said we were a bit late the girl behind the desk straight away got funny and said we were 45 minutes late, we have your table away as you were over 15 minutes late. She did not listen to why we were late - the fact we were 20 minutes waiting to get in and we were 25 not 45 minutes late. She said you will have to come back at 4pm but i explained that we had driven for 2 hours so thats not an option and could she guarantee we would get back in at 4pm - she couldnt. In the end she said she couldnt deal with me and went to go and get someone else. This was all infront of my daughter who was now getting upset. Long story short - they new lady got us a table and we went in. It was ok - my daughter loved it. But for £7 a child and £4 a child i was not expecting to have just an hour. Word of advice, dont try and ram the cafe with people. Have a few less people, cats are less stressed, people can stay a bit longer and feel more at ease. It all felt a bit rushed when the place is lovely, 95% of the staff are friendly and its such a novel idea. I would not revisit as the girl that initially dealt with us made us feel totally unwelcome after a long drive.
