Despite clearly informing the staff that I have a severe dairy allergy and requesting plain naan, I was served naan with a significant amount of butter. When I questioned this, the staff member assured me that the butter was non-dairy, which was completely false. As a result of this negligence, my face has swollen up, and I have had to deal with a severe allergic reaction. This is a serious breach of food safety regulations, and I have filed a complaint with the local health department to enforce proper food safety practices at your establishment. I have also lodged a complaint with the local consumer protection agency. Your staff's lack of care and misinformation about ingredients has caused me significant harm, and I urge you to take immediate steps to address this issue to prevent it from happening to anyone else.

Kitchen 26 doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food and portions were amazing! We went for the 1kg of lamb and, as you can guess, it was huge - but that wasn't at the expense of flavour. I would highly recommend!

I tried onion bajiya, aloo paratha and samosa it’s very delicious…. They serve authentic Indian taste… And mina Ben and dharvi Ben both are very good in nature and they both always welcome me with cheerful smile… I highly recommend…. Must try aloo paratha ….

Worst Food Experience ever. Total waste of money, No taste at all. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to eat from this place. Everything is cold and it kills your hunger and you will never feel like eating anything else. This place doesn’t even deserve to have a rating for the food they deliver.

My experience at kitchen 26was incredibly disappointing on multiple fronts. Firstly, the pav bhaji I ordered tasted like it had been reheated from frozen and microwaved, lacking any freshness or flavor. The bhaji was bland and lacked the vibrant spices characteristic of authentic pav bhaji. To make matters worse, the pav served alongside was stale and unappetizing. Additionally, I encountered a hygiene issue when the lassi served to me was in a glass with visible fungus, emitting a foul smell upon opening. This raised serious concerns about the restaurant's cleanliness and food safety standards. Despite bringing this to the attention of the staff, the issue was not adequately addressed. The overall dining experience was further marred by slow service and an uncomfortable ambiance. I strongly advise against dining at kitchen 26 due to these glaring hygiene, quality, and taste concerns."

Amazing chicken biryani, and the guy raj is so kind and sweet treated so well do meet him. Great owner and staff go to chill around with friends.

Food out standing Hot the taste like india

I visited kitchen 26 with mu sister from London and my family. I would not recommend this as the service was poor, the portion size was very small A plate of chips were less than half portion. We ordered a paprika chat which was mainly yogurt n potatoes. The tea was only 3/4 full I tried to tell the staff membwe who told me that they would make up on our next visit

I popped in for a cup of tea and grilled sandwich. I was very disappointed as the filling was very spiced mash potato’s almost gooey and wet. I wasn’t able to hold it to eat as it was so wet and runny . I pointed this out to the lady who served me , she insisted this is how their grilled sandwiches are . I complained to her , however she charged me even though I left it I would not recommend this place and will not be returning

Great place to eat and drink. Lively atmosphere, fast service on food and drinks. Very reasonable prices too which makes a change. I spent considerabley less here and definitely had more food and drinks herethan my experiences with other places. Definitely recommended.

Walking past at midday today and saw a new (to me) restaurant/cafe - Kitchen 26 (43, Belgrave Road, Leicester) - thought I'd pop in and try the food - I WASN'T disappointed! I had the Gujarati Thali - 3 curries, rice,

I tried a Paubhaji from this place, didn’t felt a taste of PauBhaji at all. The PauBhaji was some different kind too. I probably won’t try any other item here.

I really liked this place. I had samosa and pani puri here which was of great taste.

Went in first time to buy thepla. First and foremost is not thepla what they gave was masala bhakhari and there was no taste, very oily andso chewy as well.

The food is really nice, quite authentic and the quantities are quite good. Service is good, the staff are really nice. Vada pav is a must try, and we really liked the pav bhaji as well. Really nice chai too.

Ordered one chicken curry and one lamb curry that where outstanding. The tast, the depth of flavour and the quality ingredients made this a fresh home cooked meal. My dad who is very fussy when it comes to eating out has the same views. This place is a must in my view.

Fantastic staff loved the samosa chat. Veg manchurian spicy just like in India. Also parotha not heavy with coriander sprinkled and lots of aloo. Presentation,speedy staff amazing will always return here. Pani puri amazing . Excellent dishes and generous portions. It couldn't have been better. Well done !. Prices are cheap too. Tell them to cut the spices down if your not used to it but if you want proper Indian food this is the place.

I'll keep it simple. Lovely, great service. Great atmosphere and the BEST Grilled Sandwich I have EVER eaten in my life! They also serve the Masala Chai in the traditional clay cups. I can't wait to return as soon as possible with family.

Decent place for late night Indian food also the bar has lots of drinks to choose from we went as a group for couple of drinks and food was good the lamb kababs and paneer tikka was excellent also the curry we had was good kheema and chicken on the bone.

Great family restaurant and really tasty vegetarian dishes! Chef made a big garlic naan! It was amazing!

Asked for chips masala with cheese and instead of grating the cheese, they put slices on top of the chips.

Tasty Indian food! Loved the chicken lollipops & chilli chips and mini kebab rolls! Highly recommended for desi Indian food! All the staff were very nice and served us with all our needs!

Kitchen 26 food is good. Prices are cheap. They have potential. But sadly poor hygeine, poor attention , bad presentation of food and quite often they wont pack full meal. Means utterly unprofessional. I sad how one is wasting thier golden opportunity.
