We ordered a variety of dishes all were very salty which spoiled the meal and overpowerd the flavours

We waited 45 minutes for two main meals and sides, we’re used to this length delivery time on a Friday night. However, we’re not used to the poor quality of the meals themselves, with poor quality ingredients, the lamb was like leather, the mixed tandoori consisted mainly of chicken and onions, we got the wrong rice and the naan bread was also very chewy. The Passanda sauce was like soup and tasted incipid. I’m sorry to say that not only was this the worst curry we’ve ever eaten in Dronfield, it’s the worst curry we’ve EVER eaten. I threw the menu away as we won’t have any need of it again.

Not a good experience. Rubbish delivery service, when the curry (if you would call a curry from Kismit a curry)Had better from Tesco at least Tesco are honest about micrwaved rice. Plus another rather odd thing, delivery drivers never stay for more than 3 weeks. Odd. Limits delivery times are very optimistic however, in realty not what's quoted plus Kismit send out yet some other driver to bring what Kismit have forgotten to send. There's a lot better around Dronfield than unfriendly, rubbish service and questionable curries. They are rubbish.

If you're not a massive goody then it's ok for a cheaper takeaway and usually quiet so you won't be waiting too long! Much better in dronfield only a few feet away however, a little more pricey but hey you get what you pay for!

Sunday afternoon watching the Olympics, decision made to order a delivered take away, rang them direct. Order delivered within 10 minutes of the delivery time. Mixed starter, chicken jalfrasie, chicken tandoori karahi, garlic rice and garlic nam bread. All delivered piping hot, beautiful taste and consistency. Top marks and a bit left for breakfast. We have been disappointed by other takeaways in the area but not tonight.

Found this one of the best in the area for a curry takeaway, always delivered when stated and good value. The food has always been spot on. Well done.

I had last used the Kismet well over 10 years ago and it was reasonable in those days. I decided to try it again a couple of weeks ago as an alternative to my usual curry house in Chesterfield. I phoned as soon as it opened and they quoted a 20 minute wait. On arriving the order took around 3 to 4 minutes to complete. The cost was very reasonable for 2 popadoms, pickle tray, an onion baji, a main meat and a main veg curry, with rice and a nan . The cost was just over £15 but think they either undercharged or gave us medium portions ,even though as it was Saturday they only supposedly do the larger dishes on Fridays and Saturdays. There was a lot of food, it was piping hot and it was very good. I will be returning again purely on quality alone and if the price was right it represents excellent value for money.

Have recently become a regular customer of here, ordering at least once a month this year. Highly recommend returning/ordering several times and trying multiple of their varied menu items to find your own favorite as they're quite differing in taste. In my most recent order as of writing this review, I tried the Sri Lankan crab curry which was particularly tasty! - I've yet to have anything I dislike, I also recommend the APNA style dishes too! Always great door service when being delivered, polite and kind every time I've ordered.

Let's start by saying that the food is amazing! I can't fault it. No, not the best I've had but it's certainly up there with the best. However, I have noticed on several occasions that when the restaurant gets busy, they just cannot cope and mistakes start to happen. I ordered online last weekend and arrived 30 minutes later which is the time I was told via the app that the food would be ready. I had to wait another 20 minutes. I could see how busy they were, the phone constantly ringing and other, customers in the restaurant and other people coming in to collect food. The wait didn’t bother me, it was understandable and I accept that. However, when I did get my food and took it home (4 miles away), I opened the bag to find part of my starter missing and totally the wrong main dish! I rang the restaurant and the young lady apologised and blamed the new packer. She said that the boss would be ‘straight out’ with the correct main and they would also resend the starter in full. An hour and 10 minutes later, hardly straight away, there was a knock at the door. I thanked them and took the food inside. Inside the bag was my main course as originally ordered but no replacement starter as promised. The main was no more than luke warm!! Again, I rang the restaurant and they offered me a free main course of my choosing next time. The whole experience spoiled my evening to be honest. I was really looking forward to the meal but having to eat part of the starter, then wait over an hour, to then have to microwave the rice and the main course, it really spoiled things for me. By all means, if you enjoy good Indian food, try this restaurant. You will not be disappointed with the meal. However, do not visit or order takeaway on busy nights!

Missing items in our order, replaced with items we didn’t want and the curry’s we ordered were lacking in flavour. The lamb biryani tasted more like mutton, extremely chewy. The nans were broken up and tiny for what they charge…Overall, extremely dissatisfied and would not recommend.

Visited on a Thursday night with my brother. We arrived approx 9.15pm and only one table eating. All staff sat down chatting so had to ask if they were still open and serving. We were seated and served drinks. Waiter popped over about 10 minutes later and said ‘have your ordered’. No hello, no how are you. Ordered our dishes which arrived quickly and the food was ok. The other table sat behind us left leaving only us in. The waiters then proceeded to get a vacuum out and started vacuuming around us while we were still eating. We felt rushed and were asked to move to a sofa when we finished our food as we were still enjoying our drinks. The owner or barman then said ‘we are closing, can you leave’!!!! All the lights were turned off around us so quickly finished our drinks and left. In hindsight we should have gone to Ayeshas or the Samad cottage as these restaurants value customers more than the Mint leaf who made us feel unwelcome and a bit of an inconvenience. Won’t be back.
