Kismat in Epping Forest

I always look forward to ordering a takeaway from here as food is consistently good.Our takeaway yesterday was excellent, can thoroughly recommend this place.

Ordered this for my family and would not recommend or go back again! Delievery time say 40mins and it was over 1hr 30mins… food was bland, ordered a butter chicken alongside the rest of the meals and it tasted nothing like a butter chicken. Food was dry and customer service was awful

Totally disrespectful to customers. While placing an order the staff member started to have a full on conversation in another language leaving me waiting to complete my order. This was not a one second conversation but one going on for a substantial period. When I said to the staff member I found this disrespectful to me as the customer, he continued to plead his innocence that his actions were respectful and correct without apologising. In my opinion when dealing with customers any business should be given full attention to that person and not leave them waiting while you have a conversation with someone else. We were giving this restaurant one last shot as their standards of hygiene visually seem to be getting worse as well as their use of masks. From the other comments it appears there are multiple issues with this business.

One of the best Indian food out there! The chicken biryani was delicious! Will be coming back for more.

Been coming here years and travel all over for a good curry this place makes the best mains dishes in town the side orders can be hit or miss but working in the industry I can appreciate that on busy nights fried food is hard to keep fresh. I think it’s very reasonably priced if I had to give one constructive feedback it would be that complimentary popadoms go along way on terms of receiving better feedback from others but other than that I can’t knock this place on a good night

Just ordered a take away delivery. And I must say I am not impressed. It came in good timing. Said 30/45 minutes. The rice was good but that's as good as it gets. The chicken was dry in the korma. Spicy poppodum was stall and tasteless and the onion bhajis were about 3/4 days old. So so dry and crusty. And the meat samosa (2) very small were not worry te money. I wouldnt normally have a moan but as this was a treat for me and my son it was very disappointing. Don't think I'll be ordering from them again. I feel like we got the rubbish as I had a £5 off voucher.

Been using the kismat for a lot of years fantastic food does the best Dansac for miles around being critical the food is never on time always late so if you allow a bit longer before you pick up it will be fine great management and staff if you want a good Indian take away then this is the place for you well worth a try hope you enjoy

Ordered a delivery, said 45-50 mins, took 1 hr 15 mins. Arrived barely warm, had to hot in microwave. Small portions, all sauce in the curry, what meat was in it was cut so small. Didn't have much taste to it & they only included 1 poppodom (free) for 2 people. Would not use again.
