Whenever we have passed here it has not been opening time so we deliberately called when it was open. These are the best fish and chips we have had in a long time. Just how they should be. Highly recommended. We will be back.

Called in on Friday while working in the area. The lady who served us was lovely and friendly. The quality off the food was outstanding . Would 100% recommend .

Saw the rave reviews on Tripadvisor and, as we were passing on a Friday night and were going to miss supper, we dropped in. Clean, friendly staff and the best fish and chips we have ever had. Fresh fish (skin off), beef dripping chips and homemade tartar sauce. Terrific. GO!

As someone who lives at the coast and has a choice of several excellent fish and chip shops, I was pleasantly surprised how good this was. Cooked fresh and with a good choice on the menu, with nice staff

Really tasty and worth the drive. Enjoyable enough to stand in the rain whilst we ate them and pleasant service . We'll be sure to have these again if todays was anything to go by

The owners have recently made much investment into their fish and chip shop, but the results are superb and the shop has a really bright and fresh feel to it on entry. The fish and chips are just fantastic, really crispy with a terrific taste, generous portions and very reasonable priced. The packaging has been refreshed too, to great effect, so you're not going to get home and find a greasy mush wrapped in newspaper. The packaging retains the crispness really well. They do take telephone bookings, and as the food is cooked to order, I would recommend that option else unless you don't mind a short wait. Add to this very friendly and welcoming owners who obviously care tremendously about their business, efficient staff and the great food, there is no doubt that those of us who live in the village are very lucky to have such a wonderful fish and chip shop on our doorstep.

We had an easy supper last night from the local fish n chip shop. Quite a queue of customers but we’ll worth the wait . Excellent fish, chips, mushy peas and great value for money . Highly recommended. Worth ringing through with an order and collecting when ready .

The best fish and chips I’ve ever had. The crispiest batter on the fish, even taking it away and eating at home… it properly crunched and was so thin. And so fresh. The chips were delicious, beautifully cooked. The mushy peas were exactly right. Everything was cooked to order and we waited no more than 10 minutes. Thank you ! This has just finished off a lovely 5th birthday for our daughter 🙌 we will have to make an excuse to come back.

We are visiting the area and popped in for fish and chips. WOW! absolutely delicious and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Shop was spotless. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again before we go home.

Fabulous fish and chips and the best batter I’ve tasted. Call and collect as gets very busy on a Friday.

Staying at Woodhouse Farm we had a really good meal to take 'home' from here ..fabulous Pizza's ..delicious scampi and Haddock was cooked perfectly. Fresh chips and not ridiculous portions ..except for the tartar sauce which was much better than those little packets you usually get.

Went to Kirkby fisheries for the first time this evening (24/1/19). Excellent quality, value for money, varied menu, care and excellent attention to detail re presentation.

Not what I expected so far in land. Great little chippy offering a great range of fish. You can also phone your order to reduce waiting as it can be busy.

New set up - and so good! Attentive to detail and to quality - excellent portion sizes, flavours and very friendly service - deserves to do very well!
