Despite being extremely busy we got our food delivered quickly. Food was good and plenty of choice. The most perfect location overlooking the little river running through the town.

Just had a most enjoyable Sunday Lunch at The Kingsbridge. Bar staff made us feel very welcome. Lunch was served piping hot with an array of lovely fresh veg and all the trimmings I had the roast chicken and my husband had the roast beef, both being delicious just like a home cooked meal. Will definitely be back. Thank you guys.

I’ve been here a couple times. The seating area is great for relaxing overlooking the river, especially outside in the sun. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food the is a great selection of pub food too; overall I’d thoroughly recommend.

Came across the kingsbridge during a family day out in bourton on the water. We stoped for lunch and a couple of drinks food was great and the general atmosphere of the place was lovely. Staff were welcoming and very friendly, making the experience here even better for us! Enjoyed it all and will definitely come back in the near future!

Recently went here for lunch and had a great meal with a lovely atmosphere. Ste was fantastic and gave recommendations when we couldn’t decide and made us laugh as well. We will be back!

Cosy pub on the riverfront, food and drinks are well priced and the staff were lovely and welcoming. Got talking to Ste during my visit, he was very friendly and easy to chat to (as someone travelling solo I can find it hard to make small chit chat with strangers) well done Ste for bringing me out of my shell! :)

Food was hot and fresh and even though the pub was busy they were happy to accommodate me and my friends and were so glad that they did. Lovely sun trap of a beer garden and we had the best afternoon. Thank you everyone at the Kingsbridge, we’ll see you again soon.

Very impressed with service and food, thanks Stephen. Fish was great, perfectly cooked cod in a light, crispy beer batter. Being from NL we know fresh cod and great fee and chee, this was right up there with some of our best local feeds.

Another amazing visit to this pub, food was great as usual, the chicken burger and chicken gravy for dipping was just divine. Service was second to none and even though it was pretty busy when we arrived the staff - Cam, Liz, Jess & Claire were once again amazing. Super friendly, recognised we were returning visitors and gave us the warmest welcome. It's safe to say this is our go to on the village

Have been here several times over the years, but this lunchtime burger and fries was the worst meal I have ever had. Cold pink burger, cold hard fries. The couple sat next to me chose not to order food there as they saw mine and decided not to waste their money. Just dreadful. Spoke to a shop owner who said they hear regular complaints. Shame as it used to be good.

We booked a table two weeks before our visit and had a reminder the evening before however upon arrival we’re told no-one had looked at reservations that day!!!!! and offered us a table for 4 which was not suitable for our party of 6. Fortunately a table became free and we were seated. We ordered our food on the app which, despite being told there was a 45 minute wait for food, came within about 20 minutes. Our portion sizes were good, hot and tasty. It would, also, have been nice if someone had come to check everything was ok with our meals as happens in most restaurants. It takes a minute. Would we return? Possibly. Reservations, however, need to be prioritised.

We were on my SIL hen do. We popped in for a bottle of wine and the lovely bar man came over with a complimentary bottle of prosecco! Made our day. A lovely chilled atmosphere and very friendly.

Lovely spot for a quick lunch. Staff were very helpful with questions regarding an allergy too, which always makes eating out an easier experience.

Had a great visit over the weekend. The food came out really quickly and was hot and tasty. The staff were very friendly and happy to chat. They made our dog very welcome bringing treats and a water bowl to our table. If you are in the area, we would highly recommend.

Sunday Lunch was great and reasonably priced. Friendly staff who were chatty and welcoming. It's nice to be able to just drop in for food without been told you have to book!

The staff are really friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, my husband and grown up son had gammon and I had the curry with rice, mango chutney, poppadom and naan bread (very generous portion), all meals delicious. When we are in the area again, we will definitely eat at the Kingsbridge.

Food and drinks all very good and value for money, nice to have a real pie, Cam could not be more helpful and knowledgeable.

We popped in early lunch time to escape the chilly wind and yet another shower and had a very tasty meal of gammon egg and chips and a smaller portion of fish and chips. Pleasantly surprised with reasonably priced good food, beer and service in such a beautiful location.

Couldn’t wait to leave Claire (manager I assume from other reviews) extremely rude Food average Pleased to get home and away from here if I’m honest Service really is the worst that I’ve experienced in the UK this year. Won’t be back, good service costs nothing, even if it’s busy (being busy is not a reason to be rude… as you seem to have used as an excuse in another reply). Emailed brewery to explain how dissatisfied I was, no response, hence this review - I gave them a chance to put it right, no action.

Lovely pub with very helpful staff. As a new member of the gluten free family, I am having difficulty finding places that cater for my dietary requirements, however, the staff here made sure I knew exactly what I could have and they had gluten free substitutes so I was able to have a cowboy burger with a gluten free bun which made me feel like I was not being an inconvenience. They also have a range of board games that you can play while you wait for your food. Will definitely be returning.

We are a family of 11 plus one guide dog, who visited the pub today. Our server was Polly who was very friendly and helpful. The dog was given a bowl of water. Our food came out very hot, very quickly, especially as the pub was getting quite busy on a Sunday lunchtime. The food was very good quality and reasonably priced. Thanks to Polly our server and the Chef Eve. We will be going back again and have already chosen our next meal.

It's good to have low expectations but still..we visited the pub for lunch and one of the items we ordered was the 8oz sirloin. If that was sirloin, i am the Jeff Bezos..the steak was tiny really and had a straight cut on the side like someone cut it shorter with knife. There were 1 1/2 onion rings on the plate and approximately 45 peas. Not really value for money at £17. We also asked calli wings £5.99 for literally 6 small pieces. Another £5.99 for chicken popcorn strips (6 popcorns, 2 small strips). If you are wondering why we ordered these, it's because half of the menu has finished and was not available. "Do you have the cheesecake?" we asked. You may guess the answer.. I know it gets busy but ffs, say "thank you" when you serve someone. I wouldn't say bad service but uncaring probably. And the milliom dollar question: would i recommend it or visit it again? No.

We called in to see if we could book. A really lovely friendly lady long blonde hair and glasses on her head. Sorry didnt get her name took our booking and we arrived tonight. The same lady was there and she remembered us. Honestly she is a credit to her team. Her customer care is fabulous. My husband and I ordered the veggie chillie which was lovely. It came with rice but they allowed me to swap for fries and nachos. It was delicious and very reasonably priced. Shame we go home tomorrow or we would have gone again. Brilliant all round

Lovely location on the river front. Very friendly service from Polly and Claire even though they were busy. We had the fish and chips, and the Thai curry special which was delicious. Very dog friendly with treats and bowls available.

Met up with family in Bourton again and had a lovely lunch in the Kingsbridge. We enjoys the fish and chips which was a huge portion, very good value for money. Not all the ales were on but we had a choice so we had the Pedigree which was in great condition. Looking forward to our next visit.

The food was lovely I had the mixed grill with a good portion of every meat! My daughter had the children's chicken dippers which had 5 dippers on, she was very happy. Claire was fantastic and attentive. Will be back again soon

Landed myself a contract up here and staying Monday to Friday, so decided to check out the local pubs, excellent value food, welcoming staff, and will be back, Lizz, Will and Liv extremely welcoming.....

Really enjoyed our meal I am on a low calorie diet so ordered the chicken burger without a bun and with salad, the salad was the best I have ever had. Loved the meal, hubby had fish & chips which he thoroughly enjoyed. Staff were really lovely. We were served by Liv and Lizz. Would definitely recommend a visit when you stay at Bourton on the water.

Visited on a very busy Saturday. We were greeted my Polly and Liv who were clearly very busy but still served us with a smile. We were told there was a 45 minute wait for our meals but it came out quicker, hot and was delicious. I had the veg chilli which was very tasty. There was a great selection of low alcohol drinks, including a berry’s cider. If it’s this busy in February, I’d hate to see it in summer! Great job Kingsbridge staff!

We visited Bourton on the Water and saw a board outside stating the Kingsbridge was a dog friendly pub. We were welcomed by Claire and Lizz. We were told about ordering via the app on the menus and our drinks and food were bought straight to our table. Our dog wasn’t left out either, there was a great selection of dog treats but a carrot was provided. The food was excellent value for money, hot and came out quickly. The pub is worth a visit!

I recently visited the Kingsbridge with some friends for lunch. We had the most fabulous meal and the service was top notch too! The whole team were fantastic, but a special shout out to Claire who made our visit even better by personally recommending dishes...

Lovely pub, lovely team and super dog friendly. It was nice to have our dogs treated so well. The staff made sure they were welcomed as part of the family. Nothing was too much trouble and the manager Claire went out of her way to make sure we had a lovely time.

We visited this bar everyday of our 4 day break. We were welcomed on our first visit by Slav. What a credit to the business. Great attention to service with friend humour. We loved our visit and spent most of our last day here. Lunch Evening g meal and drinks. Only left as hubby wanted to watch Manchester United. we had a table in the tent. it was fine. we had to wait a while at the front door to be greeted and seated, but Bourton is popular and lots of people decided it was lunchtime the same time as us! menu was fine, enough choice for us all. disappointed with the mussels my wife and i chose. the portion was fine but the mussels were overcooked and very small, would have been surprised if cooked fresh on the premises, but forgive me if they were- the sauce that accompanied was too salty and watery. no bowls of water or wet wipes to get clean after shelling the mussels either. staff came to clear the plates whilst some of us were still eating, big no no!we had to wait a while for the bill- too long so we went indoors to pay, I know that's not covid friendly but it was taking ages! staff were friendly, busy but friendly, maybe a little scruffy. nice setting, which is why we were drawn there I guess. it was cheap eats, but it could've been better. would return to try again.

Every time I have been here the staff have been phenomenal in their attention to detail and the customers themselves. Having to operate in a 'once in a lifetime' pandemic situation and facing almost insurmountable odds the staff have risen above and beyond to ensure that everyone is seen in a timely manner and is made to feel welcome.Having read some negative reviews I feel they are rather weighted as since the relaxation of the lockdown there has been a massive surge in tourism which puts extra unnecessary strain on all services in the village including socially distanced table serviceBest pub in Bourton by a mile. Had a lovely experience at the Kingsbridge recently. The staff were fantastic, food was good and plenty of great drinks on offer. All the staff make a great effort to make everybody feel really welcome. Keep up the good work guys!!!

Having ordered dinner we waited over an hour with nothing delivered, when we queried were told someone had forgotten to put the order through to the kitchen, but the kitchen was now closed

Lovely friendly pub on the river in the centre of the town which is dog friendly.Good friendly service and reasonably priced food.

Great spot for easy food & drinks by the river. The staff here are doing a great job at managing the customers, as it’s one of the few places in the village that has shelter from the rain! If you get one of the high tables at the front you get a lovely view. You can’t book in advance, so make sure to plan ahead, and check in on the covid app before you enter. Decent pub food, we can recommend the lamb shank and the lasagne, exactly what you would expect from a decent pub.

In lockdown only seating allowed outside. It was busy and we queued to get in. Luckily we did book. Great service and lovely food. It made a nice change to be allowed back out again.

While we visited under COVID restrictions we were made to feel welcome, the hobgoblin ales were excellent and the pub grub was reasonably priced

The man running the show tried his hardest to give us good attention but the place was a bit run down and the menu un- inspiring! I had a steak which was o.k.ish.... it was so much better at the Lamb in Rissington!

Vine aquí mientras visitaba la zona. Nos sentamos afuera en un área que estaba bien. Elegimos nuestra comida del menú, que teníamos que encontrar nosotros mismos, no ideal durante la convivencia y el distanciamiento social, pero no teníamos otra opción porque no había nadie a quien preguntar. La cola para bebidas y comida era muy larga y no funcionaba con el distanciamiento social. Si no mantiene los pies en movimiento, se pegará a la alfombra. Los locales están entrando por otra puerta y son atendidos de inmediato. Muy grosero, sobre todo porque la mayoría de las ganancias son de turistas. La comida estaba bien y no muy caliente. No volvería a comer aquí, hay muchos otros lugares para comer que son mucho mejores. Camine y busque otro lugar.

No es la bienvenida más cordial. Ordene en el bar si alguna vez puede llegar allí, haga cola de 20 minutos. Los artículos que faltaban en el menú para niños se las arreglaron para hacer el pedido incorrecto. Enjoyable visit for lunch. We were immediately seated in the garden area which was fortunate. Only had starters / sharers and a drink apiece but prompt service, tasty food and reasonably priced. The inn is beautifully positioned and we would definitely visit again.

Called in with our two little dogs and given a very warm welcome with water for the pooches and a biscuit each. Good food at a reasonable price and fast service. Tables constantly wiped down while we there and all Covid restrictions observed. First Class

Solo tengo que decir que el Kingsbridge Pub es fantástico. Hermoso entorno, personal brillante y comida tremenda. Vivimos en Bourton y somos clientes habituales del Kingsbridge (nuestro favorito en el Village). No me puedo quejar de nada de lo que hacen. Todo el personal trabaja muy duro en circunstancias difíciles y siempre nos ha parecido educado, servicial y absolutamente fabuloso. ¡Muy recomendable!

Popped in yesterday, Saturday afternoon for a drink. Shown to table inside as none available outside which was very close to table behind. No tables where wiped down while I was there, people vacated and new people came being shown to same table by staff, not a spray or cloth in sight. People where queuing for the bar right next to our table none of them 1 - 2 metres apart, especially next to us. Did I stay in for over 3 mths for Marston's to completely ignore any rules. Was my name and telephone number taken NO None of the staff wore face visors especially the pregnant lady who showed us to our table. You are pregnant you are vunrable so is your baby. People wanting the loo had to try get through the people waiting for drinks which was a long line. No table service which is what I've experienced elsewhere. Just let me know on here please if you have an outbreak I'm counting the days.

We visited Kingsbridge Inn for the first and I have to say the service was amazing, especially Slav. He was so accommodating and friendly, nothing was a problem. Food was good and reasonably priced for the area. Definitely recommend.

Called in here having just arrived. Sat outside in the sunshine with a Gin and tonic. Prices reasonable. Staff very welcoming.

Brilliant location. Friendly and welcoming staff. Dog-friendly (we took in two). COVID adhering to the rules. They were the good points. We ordered food - fish & chips twice, adult-sized burger for the eldest & two kids meals. What a disappointment! For £10.95 p/h for the f&c we had a tiny piece of fish, small scattering of chips and small pile of peas. The lad's burger was two limp looking burgers in a bun - and could probably count the chips on two hands - not a lot..... The kid's meals looked like they'd been emptied out of frozen bags from a supermarket. So disappointed. From the promising start there was really no value for money there. So much so - we went to the chippy down the road afterwards to top up. Real shame.

Our favourite pub whilst staying in Bourton. This was the first pub we visited when restrictions were restricted and we felt comfortable and safe from the outset. I contacted before we visited to book a table and received a prompt reply, but when visiting without a prebooking, you wait at the door and they come to to show you to a table very quickly, after taking your details. Drinks are ordered at the bar, which works fine as they have perspex screens in place. Staff very helpful and polite, with quick service. There's a beer garden at the side to enjoy the sun. Overall - well worth a visit

Three of us stopped in for drinks after hiking nearby. The pub itself is nothing to write home about, but the beer garden facing the water is spacious and pleasant. The COVID precautions were a bit hit-and-miss; they didn’t for example take our details, but there were Perspex screens around the bar, which was good. Our food arrived nearly instantly. Overall, a decent place to have a drink and sit in the sunshine.

Fantastic location in the heart of Bourton on the Water. We visited on the first night of a 2 week stay intending to make this our go to pub for meals and drinks. The locals had other ideas though and we were sworn at and told to go back home. We didn't even get a chance to order and so just left. Thank goodness for The Dial House on the other side of the village who were amazing during our stay.

Pub has just been refurbished and it looks great light clean and very welcoming. With a large selection of beers and lagers plus a brand new menu

I went in without a booking on a Sunday night (big plus as it was the only place I could find that was open) and had a decent meal - salad, steak and a G&T...everything was good, nothing special but well cooked, but at the end of the day a bit on the pricey side. Service was fine, friendly and not intrusive. I tried to go back on Tuesday, but the kitchen closed at 8pm (we arrived at five past) - not their fault but seems that the rules are more important than looking after visitors.

コッツウォルズOPツアーの時に利用しました。カウンターにメニューが置いてあるので、テーブルに示されているテーブル番号を伝えて先にお会計したら席まで届けてくれました。エールパイと、today's soupとチーズのサラダを注文しましたが、どれもこれも美味しかった！ボリュームもたっぷりでした。他のパブもこんなに美味しいものが食べられるのかどうかはわかりませんが、イギリスでパブ飯を食べたかったので経験出来て大満足です。ちなみにお酒を注文しなくても問題なしでした

Nice pub which is a decent size in the heart of the town. The food was excellent and came out quick and hot. The front of house staff on the other hand are absolutely terrible the one waitress looked really unpresentable and was wearing a beanie hat and looked like she had been hit in the face with a fish and the gentleman who brought our food over grunted at us and slammed the food on the table again he had the personality of stuffed dog so over all decent pub just need to look at the staff which they are hiring.

Just called in for drinks. Good selection of ales, plus the usual lagers and ciders. Had a good pint of Breakspear's. Would be nice to sit outside in the summer.

Visited this pub today with my Husband, son, Sister and her two six month old twins. While sitting there enjoying our drinks a man gambling at the slot machine decided to take it upon himself to tell my 6 month nieces to “shut the **** up” when my sister had come back from changing one of the girls asked her if they had a nice **** At first we ignored him but he continued to tell the kids to shut up. Went and got the Bar Manager who came over to the man and was just speaking to him as if he was his best mate. No one apologised to us or tried to make us feel more welcome or for the 60 year old man to apologise or maybe leave the pub. Utterly disgusted by how this was managed ended up leaving as felt so uncomfortable in there. We have taken the kids to so many places before and this is the first time something like that has ever happened and ruined a part of our holiday away in the Cotswolds.

Nice pub in the middle of buys Bourton. We stopped here for a drink and found the place to be busy with a good range of seating for all group sizes.We had some drinks which were good and the pub allowed dogs which was a bonus. We didn't eat here so can't comment on the food.

Whilst in Bourton one evening we got peckish,,,,went into the Kingsbridge Inn,,,plenty to choose from off the menu without being ott,,,,Settled on the steak burger,,,,That is superb,,,,came with chips and coleslaw,,,,who ever made the coleslaw should win a prize Recommended indeed

We stopped here for drinks whilst visiting the Cotswolds and found this to be a lovely pub with a very pleasant atmosphere.

Cuando estábamos a punto de pedir bebidas, un miembro grosero del personal nos arrebató los menús de las manos. Preguntamos por qué y nos dijeron que ahora no estaban haciendo sándwiches.

Al visitar la posada Kingsbridge, nos sentamos a la hora del almuerzo. El menú decidió que lo que todos queríamos era simplemente levantarnos y ordenar cuando un miembro del personal vino y nos arrebató los menús y dijo que ya no estaban haciendo sándwiches o papas.

This a good pub in a good location but the quality of the food is pretty poor. Service is good so worth visiting but eat before you go.

Hemos llamado aquí varias veces durante su estancia en Bourton, muy amigable con los perros, bar completo y excelente menú, puede ser muy ocupado. Todavía tiene una verdadera sensación de pub, solo dos inconvenientes, aunque accesible para sillas de ruedas, loo está subiendo dos tramos de escaleras y llamó aquí esta noche y la cocina cerró a las 7 pm, así que tuve que ir a otro lado.

店内は広々としていて食事も充実しています！カウンターでビールを注文して好きなところに座りました！昼前からビール飲んで盛り上がってるグループもいた！テラスもあるので暖かい時は外で飲むのもいいですね！

Popped in for a drink and managed to get seated outside and had a lovely spot to view the passes by from!

Después de decidir visitar Bourton en el agua durante unas horas, decidimos tomar un bocado para comer algo es una cerveza encantadora a un precio razonable. La única razón para un hotel de 4 estrellas es que el lugar podría funcionar con un poco de toallita y pintura fresca, especialmente en la sección del restaurante. De lo contrario, muy buena experiencia.

Visited this pub in September and ate hear several times from lunches to dinners. Staff very friendly and service good considering it is such a busy place. Food was excellent, sumptuous sandwiches, steak and cheese pie, ranch burgers and fish and chips. Would highly recommend

For my mother-in-law's 80th, we stopped at B-O-T-W for lunch, before travelling on to our evening venue. It was far too noisy to sit inside, so we braved the cold and sat outside, once we found dry seating, which was bird poo free. Two of us ordered mussells, the rest soup. I asked the waitress if we could have 2 spoons for the mariniere sauce. She said "You've got a knife and fork, you can eat them with those." I explained that it was for the sauce and she said "That's what your bread's for," and thrust it at me, so my bread fell on the floor. I always eat my mussells using the empty shell as a tool for the next one and this dish is usually served with a knife and a spoon. She did not offer to replace my bread and I found her tone very rude. I asked, "Don't you have any spoons?" at which she went off to get some. Just thought that the Kingsbridge should be aware that they are paying argumentative, ignorant snowflakes to insult their customers. The mussells were very salty or maybe that was the bird poo on my bread. Go elsewhere!

We were looking for an eatery indoors that was dog friendly on a cold October day. Called in and it was very busy, but there was seating! A ninety one year old and a dog, makes for interesting times. Well we were most surprised, the staff were friendly, the service good and quick, and the food wholesome. Very good value in a time when it is easy to be fleeced. Good Wifi too. Avoid when there is an event on TV as it can be a bit noisy.

Popped into the Kingsbridge three times in our week in Bourton, lovely setting by the river, great for people watching.
