Absolutely awful, how can you charge so much for this! Hugely disappointing, our first and last time ordering from here. 2 under cooked waffles and this excuse of cookie dough🤢

No one to welcome you at the door. No one to sit you at table. No one gives you a menu. Staff on tills texting on phone whilst they take your order. Maybe because we are an asian couple being served by a white waitress. Sad world we live in

I came across this dessert lounge during my travels in Oldham, I travelled from Manchester to Oldham to see my family and the shop is in the town centre. The staff were very friendly and reasonable prices - highly recommend!

The first time I went there the waffle didn't taste very great, the second time I went the I ordered a milkshake and I think the milk was off as I had a tummy ache after it. I wouldn't be going back there as I think there are better dessert places :/

Decided to go Kings treats to try it out. First impressions what a nice big place. Menus have a lot off selection and the display counters show you the cakes on offer. Cleanliness of the areas especially where desserts are being prepared always need to be clean & tidy especially when they are on show. The cookie dough we ordered was nice considering I had some at a different dessert parlour and it was rubbery tasting. The portions are decent enough for the price you pay. The coffees were not on point. Even though you don't specialise in it you need to be able to serve a good coffee so it's enjoyed. The reason I have rated it average is apart from the branded decor the desserts are similar to a lot of dessert parlours out there. Also there's no order in the way desserts are brought out. A little more structure would make a big difference. The team are lovely and really chatty and you can see they try their best to please the customer so it's all positive.

Smoke Yard – Bold Flavours, Laid-Back Vibes in the heart of Oldham town centre, Smoke Yard delivers a confident and unapologetic take on modern American-inspired comfort food — think low ’n’ slow BBQ, big burgers, and bold cocktails — all served in a setting that’s as stylish as it is relaxed. Atmosphere The vibe hits just right from the moment you walk in. Industrial-chic interiors — with exposed brick, filament lighting, and rustic wood finishes — create a cool yet welcoming space. It's casual without feeling scruffy, and stylish without being try-hard. Whether you’re in for a laid-back lunch, a night out with friends, or a hearty solo feast, the atmosphere suits all comers. Staff are upbeat and friendly, adding to the sense that this is a place that genuinely enjoys looking after its guests. Service is efficient but unrushed — they let you savour the experience. Food & Flavour Smoke Yard doesn’t mess about when it comes to food. The menu leans into indulgence, but there's real craft behind it. The burgers are the main draw — juicy, stacked, and full of personality. Try the Yard Burger or Smoke Stack if you want the full experience: perfectly cooked patties layered with slow-cooked brisket, melty cheese, and house sauces that pack a punch. The ribs and wings are just as impressive — sticky, smoky, fall-off-the-bone good — and sides like mac ’n’ cheese, slaw, and sweet potato fries hold their own rather than playing second fiddle. There are solid veggie options too, including a jackfruit burger that holds up surprisingly well in such a meat-forward line-up. Drinks & Desserts Smoke Yard shines on the drinks front as well. The cocktail list is playful and generous (try the Peanut Butter Old Fashioned if you're feeling adventurous), and there’s a great range of craft beers, bourbons, and milkshakes — all sized to match the menu’s swagger. Desserts don’t hold back either — from gooey brownies to stacked sundaes, they’re made for sharing (or not, we won’t judge). Verdict Smoke Yard is the kind of place that knows exactly what it’s doing — and does it with flair. It’s not trying to be fine dining; it’s comfort food elevated by quality ingredients, skilled execution, and a good sense of fun. Whether you're after a burger blowout, a brisket fix, or just somewhere to relax with good food and better drinks, Smoke Yard delivers — and then some.

Usually the food here is decent and the staff is really friendly. I believe it was the manager who served us today - pointed us over to the smallest table in the restaurant on a quiet evening. There was 3 other couples all sat in booths and larger tables. We requested to move so the food could fit more easily and as our table was very uncomfortable. Very rude manager who said ‘those tables are for 6 people’ and the booth is ‘booked’ l. Never returning or giving this shop my money again
