The staff made us feel welcome although a peak time we were seated and served very well, This was a special occasion for us as it was a present from friends for our diamond wedding, adjacent to us there was a young family who were an absolute joy and to see the youngsters thoroughly enjoy their birthday celebration The food was first class ,we have visited a number of times in the past and never failed to enjoy . Despite the current conditions for the hospitality industry this is an exceptional hostelry and we wish it every continued success

Had a great lunch...compliments to the chef......Lou and Ashe were great hosts, catering for all needs. This is our favourite pub, the food is always well cooked and plentiful. The service is spot on, and a good selection of wines available. We liked the fact that we could have alternatives when some food was not acceptable for diet reasons, that was important for us.....so thank you Lou and Ashe, we will be back.......Jennie and Barry Free.

A fab village pub with great food choices and a warm welcome for families. We have small children and their kids fish and chips is brilliant. Big fat home cooked chips, the kids loved them! I asked for a starter salad (prawns and s/salmon) to be upsized to a main and without hesitation this was no problem at all. My mum wanted the seabass but served slightly differently to the menu and this was catered for no issues. Our plates were clean by the end of the meal! Not only was the food fantastic, the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. It has the old pub way of turn left for the bar or right for dining. I love this! Dogs are welcome in the bar, but not the dining room. Kids are welcomed, chatted with, and catered for. No photos because tbh we were hungry and it was gobbled down before anyone would even think of taking photos! Thank you to the kitchen staff for accommodating our tweaks to dishes, and to the front of house staff for their welcome and great service. See you again soon! Parking: Large car park, plenty of spaces. Well lit for darker evenings. It's a village pub so safe for lone travelers or women IMO. Kid-friendliness: Welcoming to families.

Called to see if they had space for us for lunch and they were very accommodating and fit us in even when busy. This is a really nice traditional pub, friendly staff and a cosy feel. I had the Brie, honey and garlic which they offered to make into a bigger portion for me as I was having it as a main, which was very kind of them! My partner had the sausage and mash and loved it. We will definitely come again!

First visit - what a stunning exterior 👌. My wife had the Hunters Chicken and me the Fish and Chips. Both very good although garden peas a little underdone and far too many chips but at £15.95 pp acceptably priced. Good service and friendly staff. We did have to get the price of a coffee knocked off the bill as it never materialised but overall an excellent lunch with friends.

Been meaning to have a meal at the kings head for months, I have to say we actually made a phone call and booked a table for about 5.30pm, we arrived to a very warm welcome and got shown to our table immediately, we all had the pate for starters, followed by the fish platter fillet steak, and the pork and stilton, I can honestly say its the best meal I have had in Lincolnshire for a very long time, followed by apple and date crumble and ice cream, portions were amazing and so was everything else , will definitely be back and will be telling all our friends, thanks for your amazing hospitality

In the charming village of Tealby, close to Market Rasen, there is a delightful thatched pub called The King's Head. To be brief, try the homemade pie. It is a wonder. It was Steak and Ale today and I can't recommend it enough and I swear I could write a small essay on the gravy. Lou and Ash will give you a warm welcome. But remember, try the pie.

Second time of visiting The kings Head after just randomly dropping in the place looking for lunch and the food was so good we decided to visit again and we are from Rotherham South Yorkshire but Lou and Noah made us so welcome and we had a wonderful lunch but Jacqueline decided after she had her lunch to have a pudding which after one mouth full decided it’s was Erotic to which Lou, myself and a couple at the next table ( who we chatted to from Hull) burst in to laughter and the pudding was a Ganache and Maltese pastry base and can’t remember the name of it. Thank you to the chefs Nathan & Brandon to and we will back soon. xx

Ate here recently to celebrate a family birthday. The pub looked great and the staff were friendly. There was a large and varied selection on the menu and some daily specials. But all of our party were underwhelmed by the food. I chose the mushroom...

We dined here on 17th May, a table for four. My wife ordered the Belly Pork, our friends chose the pies and I opted for the duck, specifically because the menu stated ‘served pink’. I pointed out to the manager that my duck was somewhere...

We went to Trent Port for a Christmas dinner/to celebrate my grandparents’ wedding anniversary. The whole team (in particular Kirsty) went above and beyond to make our meal extra special. The food was fabulous and the excellent service made everything even better. They catered for my mum, who is gluten free - they even had an amazing gluten free chocolate fudge cake, so she was even able to have a proper dessert. They also had gluten free gravy too. The meal was also excellent value for money, which is incredible considering the service and the way they catered for different dietary requirements. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening - we’ll be back again very soon!

Came on Friday lunchtime to meet some business colleagues. The food was fantastic and the service great. Although I did feel for the lady working as she seemed to be on her own, this being said she never stopped. Constantly between the bar and taking food out. She came and asked if all was ok and offered us deserts which we declined because the portions are big and we were full up.
