Used to go here a few times when I was a tad younger; not far to walk if nearby. Used to be full of customers back in the day, 2015 were the days (summer months.)

My son and his partner now live in Australia and they are now visiting again. High on their list was a portion of British fish and chips. We treat ourselves occasionally to a fish and chip supper at King's, and that was our destiny this evening. Our order was cooked fresh and we were guided sensibly regarding portion size - large chips is actually enough to feed a family of five! The haddock was spot on: perfectly cooked and packed carefully to prevent damage before we got them home. We even got a few delicious little scraps. Thank you for the guidance and wonderful service.

Between my house and Kings I have Tates and Andys closer but having dropped in by chance one day it's now the only place we use. Owner and staff really customer friendly and food is fresh and great quality.

On the way home, after no food for several hours, just fancied a quick bit to eat, and passing the Fish & Chip shop, notice the light was on, stopped and walked back to order some grub, end of the day for them, just about to shut, they happily served me and even reduced the price and gave me more chips as well. Service, good, but I feel a little let down as the fish had been in the heater for a while I suspect, although the chips were fine. But end of the day for them, so to be fair, I got what I wanted, a quick meal.

Great young lad serving in there is the only positive. The owner/fryer had a serious attitude problem was throwing food around after frying it, was snapping at the polite young man working for him and to top it off chips were undercooked and the batter on the fish was also undercooked, the fish was fresh though.

The owner makes this place as he is such a happy, lovely man. The food is good, you get a decent sized Haddock and a large chips is enough for 2 to share. In summer, there are benches opposite near the river and that's a nice place to eat your food. Most of the time, it is freshly cooked while you wait, that is good to know.

Excellent chippy. Very generous portions, always hot and fresh. Usually cooked to order. Best chippy I've been to in the local area.

I pop in from time to time and although you may have a bit of a wait as many things are cooked to order, what you get is worth the wait! You get a good sized bag of chips and the haddock is always a big size. It fills you up and there are no complaints from me. Friendly staff and good service goes hand in hand with good food. Would recommend.

We were in Boston late dinner time on a Saturday when we fancied some chips. We saw Kings and parked up. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff who said he hadn't got much left as he was about to close. We only wanted chips but was concerned that they were going to be the left overs. This worry was soon put to rest as 2 large portions of chips were handed to us that look great and tasted even better. Far better value for money than most of the chip shops in Skegness where we live.

Visiting the area for the day, we located The Thatched Cottage via Tripadvisor. Booked a table for late lunch. Fortunately a pleasant day as having our furry friend with us we had to sit outside. Our lunch was as good as hoped for; a generous portion of roast lamb, served on a bed of lovely mash, accompanied by red cabbage, yorkshire pud, roasties and apricot stuffing. The sides of creamy blue cheese leeks and trio of carrots, french beans and swede were colourful and tasty. Our meal was served promptly and the half pints of Doom Bar washed our lunch down nicely. Friendly service A thoroughly enjoyable lunch, a good find which we would recommend We may not have booked had it been a cold wet day, delighted it wasn't. Note to TTCR, perhaps look at a doggy owner corner in your bar for diners over the winter months?
