Kings Fish and Chips in Poole

Perfect fish - quality flesh - and perfect batter - nice and crispy crispy. Perfect chips - almost like they were double cooked - nice and crispy. The Childs portion was enough for lunch.

Excellent fish and chips, freshly cooked and not a hint of grease. Polite, friendly and efficient service and reasonably priced. We visited several times during our holiday and if we lived locally we would certainly frequent it often.

Absolutely delicious fish and chips!!! We made our first online order today. 4 cod, a pasty and a burger along with chips. Quick, easy and ready when said they would be. We WILL be back. Many thanks.

We went there on a trip to Poole last week and was very inpressed by the place and the food was freshly cook and of a good quality and size and very good price. So being able to park outside crowned the experience. People in there also very helpful and friendly. Great meal staff.

Great fish and chips. Chips cooked well and fish batter crispy. Everyone was happy with their meals. Would visit again today if in the area.

Decided on a chippy tea after a long drive from up North. Ordered online a large and regular cod, large chips, mushy peas and 2 cobs/bread rolls. Easy ordering and all of the food was hot, tasty and plentiful. Crispy chips mmm, light crispy batter, and soft bread. Perfect. We shall be back before we return home.

We passed this Fish and Chip shop on the way home one night and because it looked so clean and tidy we decided to try it. What can I say perfect cooked Fish and lovely crisp chips. Could not ask for better all set off with a tub of Chip Shop Curry sauce i would not normally have curry sauce with fish and Chips but it is a west country tradition so hey ho. The review below is as a shop not a restaurant they do not have seating.

We always visit Kings fish and chips and have never been dissatisfied apart from tonight The chips were inedible, Rock hard, over fried or just heated up chips from lunchtime We returned the chips back to kings, but the 2nd lot were just as bad Staff were totally getting other food orders wrong Sorry won’t be back after tonight’s disappointment

Went for some fish and chips for our first night on hoilday order 2x cod and chips and also chips and nuggets the meal was hot staff was helpful with order the chips was overdone nuggets was a bit over cooked and the fish was a bit scrappy and very white in side

The better chippie in the area. Fish batter was nice and crispy. They have a great menu selection too. Everyone’s food was good so whole family were happy

We have cod bits & chips most Fridays as our weekly treat to avoid the cooker. Chips are always well done, just how I like them, not all soggy and pale, Cod bits are perfect and a good deal. The service is always exceptional and friendly from Iris and her team. They do get very busy so I always phone through the order so we don’t have to wait too long.

Ordered on line which I recommend at busy times. My order was ready to collect on time, brilliant food freshly cooked, friendly service. No complaints 5 *. Would highly recommend.

We had fish and chips from here while staying at the caravan park down the road, they were delicious. We ordered online as the park we stayed at where advising an hour wait, this turned out to be a very good decision as they were a lot cheaper and very nice, not at all greasy. The premises were really clean and they had 2 sides, 1 for customers ordering there and the other for collections.

Great seaside tasting fish and chips. All freshly cooked. Crispy batter and crunchy yummy chips. Big portions and great price. Why bother with other more expensive places?

I had cod and chips and they were excellent. Best cod I've had in a long time. The price was cheap and overall this place is worth going to.

The food here was ok but I know of many other places for which you can get better chips. The chicken nuggets were not of what I expected but my two other my other family members said that the fish was very good. This is a not again for me.

Twice we’ve been here now and for us it’s the best fish and chips around. Medium chips are plenty for 2 and the fish was to die for light crispy batter mmmmmmm

Phoned order in, we were not advised of special deal in shop or online. Food was ready for collection on time but was not as hot as we thought it should be. However, quality of fish was good but chips not as good as before.

Best chips in town. Crispy cod yummy. Freshly cooked, friendly service. Clean. Only gripe is chicken pie looked like an old shoe - tasted ok !!!!

The fish and chips are freshly cooked to an excellent quality. The service is also a credit to this fish and chip shop. Forget the others and get the best at King’s.

We called up at 835 not knowing the restaurant had closed 5 mins prior. Luckily someone answered the phone and they were happy enough to still take our order. Best fish and chips we have had in a long long time. Thank you.

Absolutely delicious, lightly battered, beautifully cooked cod. The chips were cooked perfectly and service is excellent. When it was first taken over I wasn't too impressed but they have found their feet and I would recommend kings to anyone.
