Booked garden room for private function for 17 people. Great room and use of garden. Buffet lunch very good. Would recommend. Would just of needed a sign to say private function as people kept coming in.

We pre-booked a work evening meal for 50, taking over the whole restaurant. George and the amazing kitchen staff were brilliant, the food was delivery to table hot and everyone had the best night. They dealt with some complex dietary asks perfectly and the whole team had the best time. We will be back :-)

Booked a whisky and ale tasting for my son's birthday treat. Couldn't book online as discovered this offer within 7 days of wanting to do it which was the limit online, rang on the off chance I could book that way and the staff were very accommodating (Andrew and Euan). My husband and son did the tasting and were very impressed with the quality of the drinks and Euan's knowledge. I sat in the very comfortable garden room with our dog and a pack of cards while I waited, ordering a drink and snack using the app which was very easy. We all ate together afterwards, mains only 2x burgers and the chicken schnitzel, which were very good. Maybe we should have eaten first though to soak up some of the alcohol! Would recommend the tasting and will definitely return to eat and drink here.

Attended as part of a large group, having booked a table for a meal and drinks. Our orders were promptly taken at 6.40 pm. I ordered BBQ wings for a starter and a Ceasar salad . Food finally appeared on my table at 8.50pm, some 2 hours and ten minutes after ordering. Staff kept apologising for the delay and offered drinks and money off the bill for the delay. At 8.30pm I asked the waitress how much longer, she informed me that she honestly could not say. I had another appt after 9pm so was about to leave and cancel my order. My salad arrived but not my starter. As I was finishing my main, my starter arrived. Likewise with all my friends meals, all served at different times. In respect of table covers for the Chef, it was not particularly busy. Clearly not a good evening for The Brewhouse Kitchen. Even more disappointing was the offer of discount was not forthcoming as promised, for being patient and understanding.

Hi great service by George. Lovely food and fab beer. We came with family of 8, George looked after the children as well as the adults.

I visited yesterday afternoon and was blown away by the food and service I received. I had the bacon jam burger and my daughter had a bang bowl. Both were delicious and so well prepared. I got to thank the kitchen staff thanks to the open gantry. Hayley and Adam you did an exceptional job. I will be back with my whole family!

A return visit after a gap of a few years confirms that this is still an excellent pub / restaurant. There is an interesting menu and all the items I have a tried there have been very well cooked and presented. A varied menu at reasonable prices and a great selection of beers including their own brews. The nachos are excellent, a great sharing starter and the chicken schnitzel was amazing. Good simple fresh food. Friendly and attentive service. One of the best lunches out for a long time.

Brilliant experience. Food was great value for money and used a £10 January voucher. We were served by a lovely guy with a tattoo of Aria on his neck. True asset to the team. Attention to detail with a little humour and bubbly enjoying the job. Food was delicious and arrived promptly

We stopped in for a friends catch-up lunch and were really happy with our experience. For a Saturday lunchtime it was quiet, but the food was extremely flavourful (shoutout to the chicken wings and padron peppers), generous portions and a decent price point. If I lived closer, I would be here again!

Visited in January last year and was so impressed. Met the lovely landlord and thought the pub was really busy and thriving for January. He was charming and working hard behind the bar on a Friday. How things have changed. There were more staff than customers, not a manager to be seen anywhere. The staff seemed so uninterested and the atmosphere we came back for has completely evaporated. It is a far more expensive establishment than the pubs in town we use when visiting but the experience last year more than made up for it. I hate to see pubs die but for the love of God! If you have something good going, how can it fall downhill to this extent so soon after

It was very quiet. Sunday lunch was plentiful but all piled on one plate - previous visits had vegetables served in a separate dish, which I would have preferred. Beef was tough - which was a shame and far too much red cabbage (left over from Christmas?) The waitress was either all over us or distant at the end when the plates needed clearing and loved the word 'awesome', also she was not able to help when we asked about beers. Such a shame - don't think we will visit again.

I had a takeaway Christmas Day dinner which was very tasty and enjoyable. I was served promptly and the food came with instructions of how to reheat it although not for the camembert but that was sorted out when phoning the pub.

Amazing service and beautiful establishment as always. Food quality has declined over the years though. We've used K&B 6 years in a row for our Christmas celebrations/dinner. While the service and drinks are A + the food quality has gone from 'outstanding and memorable' to 'average' Still we had a lovely time and the staff really are lovely. Toddler friendly and very attentive.

We pre booked for a Sunday and confirmed with the person on the phone if they were serving the main menu along with the Sunday menu, they confirmed the main menu would be ok. We arrived and were advised that they don’t serve the main menu on a Sunday. So we ordered from the Sunday menu (not an issue). After waiting an hour for the food to come out, the food was stone cold, the meat was tough and generally wasn’t a very nice meal. We ate what we could and left. We asked for the bill and there was a £10 service charge added which we asked to be removed as the food was not up to standard. Wouldn’t recommend visiting this establishment.

I went to this establishment to spend a lovely birthday dinner. The food was lovely, the atmosphere was amazing. I mean, this could have been a 5-star review. But the service was appalling. The waiter, I didn't get his name. He must have been about 6 foot or so, black hair, a bit big boned. He was verbally abusive to one of my nephews, Oliver, who has SEN. Asking him to repeat his order 6/7 times. This level of service is unacceptable. I will not be ordering here again. I am shocked by how disgusting people can be.

This was our ' 2nd chance' meal here as the beer is good. Food no better though. Pie and crispy onions came with no onions and pie was very hard. Given onion rings to compensate but then charged for these Bang bang chicken with coriander rice had no coriander. Didn't fancy a side of coriander! We'll just have a beer in future. Other reviews are good so must be just unlucky.

It was easy to book a table online and when we arrived there was a paper gf menu (the QR code only showed the allergens in the Christmas menu). The service was fabulous, efficient and friendly and the food was generous and delicious. gf sticky toffee pudding for the win!

Popped in to brewhouse and kitchen yesterday 6/12/24 and was enjoying an excellent pint of stout when the new general manager introduced himself, chris was interested in what we thought of the pub and was very sociable, a very warm and relaxing atmosphere plus great staff with a fantastic sense of humour thank you all for a fabulous visit, also mention adam who took time to let us try samples of beer (which were so good ) will definitely return 😀

We had our Jewellers Christmas dinner here this week and I have to say the service was exceptional. From the minute we walked in we were met with friendly attentive staff that looked after us for the whole evening. The Christmas dinner portions were generous, fresh and served on hot plates! Highly recommended… we’ll definitely be back.

We were visiting Poole lighthouse and decided to have a pre show meal. On arriving the place was buzzing due to a private party, we had booked a table, the manager had reserved two tables one.in the main restaurant which was close to the private party and a quieter area in the bar. We decided we were happy to be seated in the restaurant. Eventhough the staff were extremely busy they still made us very welcome, extremely attentive. Our food arrived promptly, hot and delicious. Reasonably priced, well worth a visit.

Popping in for a pint at Poole. I have been before and like the quiet & relaxed atmosphere along with the aroma of the onsite brewing !!! The ale was an excellent bitter and well under a £5 for a pint.

All six of us enjoyed the atmosphere and all our meals were excellent and very well served.

Second visit and Sunday roast every bit as good as first time. Chicken burger is exceptional. Staff friendly and helpful. Lovely atmosphere.

Sunday lunch was amazing - Generous portions and crispy roast potatoes were lush. The young lad serving us was polite and friendly. Totally Recommend.

Lovely, friendly staff. Ordered and some of the food wasn’t available and then quite a wait for food itself. When the food arrived on the whole it was lovely but on one of the orders some of the food was missing. A real shame because it’s a beautiful location and we were there for a special occasion so just a little more attention to detail needed.

My husband and I stopped off here for a drink, pub is clean and warm atmosphere. Bar tender was nice and theres active Ale brewing at set times. They serve food Good place for a quiet drink. They could do with screening something else on the TV’s. Really nice cosy pub

The team at BHK Poole hosted my recent birthday party. Did an absolutely fantastic job despite very short notice. Great team, great venue, fantastic food and good beer - what is not to like! #Recommended.

We did the brewery experience day (26/10) with Euan. It was a 5* experience, Euan was a fantastic host and you can tell his passion for his job. He was personable, friendly and entertaining. He kept the day interesting. We didn't expect that we would be drinking so many good beers, all made by Euan in house. We learned a lot, drank a lot, and the food was also really good that was included. 2 kegs to take home is much appreciated too.

Eaten here before but disappointed this time. Three out of four of us requested a slight change to their meal (e.g. mayonnaise-based drizzle to be omitted from Bang bang chicken bowl, perhaps replaced by some of the honey chilli sauce served with a dish ordered by another member of our party; mash replaced by fries with a pie) and the food turned up with alterations but not those requested. Chicken and rice dish was still drizzled with mayonnaise but plain not chilli, so was sent back. For the replacement, the kitchen decided to just provide plain rice (no coriander) and what looked like the original chicken pieces wiped slightly, with some bits of chopped veg in a pot (as we must not want mayonnaise on the slaw either), and no chopped chillies at all, but a bottle of hot sauce. The pie and mash dish was still pie and mash but with none of the stated crispy onions. Just providing a side of chips was the solution offered for this. There seemed to be a total breakdown in communication between kitchen and waiting staff, which somewhat ruined a family reunion meal out as we could not all eat our food together.

Booked for dinner on a busy Saturday evening. Staff all very attentive and friendly. The choice of Ale and Larger is fantastic. The food was great. We will be back again.

Just had an absolutely delicious Sunday roast. Friendly and efficient staff, quick service and an enormous and delicious three meat roast. A great find that we just stumbled upon. We'll be back.

Experience was fine. Nothing to write home about, nothing to complain about except being refused tasters at the bar, weird policy.. However they sold me 2 cans of milk stout for takeaway, both 6 months out of date. This level of poor stock management shows contempt for their beery clientelle, I assume they are hoping most wont have the palete to notice. Emailed the pub to come back and swap them, no response. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Nice staff nice service with comfy seats, the food looked lovely, meat a little chewy, cold plate which is a no no, plus the only thing that was warm were the potatoes and the gravy which fortunately came in a separate pot so I was able to warm up the rest of the food. I try to keep my opinion true Plus I’ve worked in the kitchen many years, if the food was presented hot, it would have been near perfect, this has not put me off eating there again as I’m local, but if the food comes out cold again I will definitely ask for the manager

Walked in expecting the usual chain pub and grub FAR FROM IT.there was a fair selection of craft beers made on site with a micro brewery a lovely pub atmosphere and adam and the brewer very friendly nothing too much trouble and we orderd the burgers and dirty fries tasted amazing so we booked again for Monday and tue in advance.if ur in the area make sure u pop in and have a chat with adam when u arrive he's a top guy and hel sort you out

Rainbow bowl had no hummus. We were offered alternatives but there was nothing suitable. No reduction in the bill. Side salad was tasteless. BBQ mushrooms and Mac&Cheese were great.

We were really looking forward to a lovely Sunday roast after travelling to Poole during the day for a weeks holiday. Unfortunately, we were highly disappointed. The roast potatoes were barely cooked, no flavour or crispy-ness, possibly pre-bought & the red cabbage appeared to be seasoned with cinnamon which completely spoilt & overshadowed the taste of the dinner - this is an aquired taste & something that should have been mentioned on the menu with the customer being given the choice to either have it on the dinner or not. We felt very deflated after eating.

Thank you so much to the lovely team at the Brewhouse. We’ve just held a party in the glass room, the team were so helpful from start to finish and literally couldn’t have done more to help us, from putting up with all my questions before and having to deal with a bunch of loud teenagers tonight. The buffet food was lovely and so much of it. Would totally recommend this location for anyone looking for somewhere to hold an event in Poole.

Visited B&K Poole for lunch with friends. Upon arrival we were all greeted by staff and shown to a table. Our server (Aaliyah) offered us some taster drinks and returned to take our food and drink orders. The drinks arrived very quickly and food came soon after. The food was excellent and we all enjoyed our meals. Aaliyah returned to take our hot drinks order and when we were ready to leave she brought the bill. Her service was excellent and worthy of praise and recognition. The whole experience was superb and we will definitely return again soon.

Great experience, nothing was too much trouble. For a big party booking there were a couple of hiccups but nothing to spoil the evening.

Had a fantastic afternoon attending a Whisky & Beer Pairing session that my son gifted me for my birthday. A really knowledgeable host and a great burger afterwards

Nice place and the food was ok but when they actually add a 10% discretionary tip to your bill at the till without being asked I think is way out of line. It's not about the money it's about adding it without having a choice. Maybe ask in future before just adding it.

The American Pale Ale is superb I had a burger again superb but the overall vibe of the pub is very good the staff are friendly and reasonably priced

Staff didn't know what fish they had in the Fish & Chips (I am alergic to some). It turned out to be Pollock, one of the cheapest varieties - not good for the price being charged! We asked for a slice of bread to go with a salad and the waiter said he would have to charge us £5!! Very unimpressed. Place was dark and dingy.

Visited this restaurant yesterday as we were staying in a hotel nearby. Really wasn’t too impressed. The waiter at the till overcharged and then when confronted he then worked it out wrong again so had to get money refunded twice. I absolutely love stuffing and on the menu, only one of the roast options said it came with stuffing, so before ordering (3 meat roast) we checked with the waiter to ensure this meal came with stuffing and they said it did. When our roast arrived there was no stuffing! This was the main reason why i ordered the roast so i was very disappointed and we told the waiter there was no stuffing, he then came back out with 1 tiny stuffing ball… i tried not to laugh it was quite embarrassing really. My friend had to send back chips as they were freezing and my other friend did not get cheese with her burger (which they paid extra for). We then came to realise despite there not being many other places to eat out nearby, we understood why this place was so quiet still. Would not come again!

The food was so bad! Salt and pepper squid had no salt or pepper on it - about 8 small pieces of overly fried calamari (for £7.50), onion rings for £4 were a grand total of six tiny, very oily / greasy ones, but the best part was the 'home-baked focaccia bread" which was a single packet brioche burger bun that had been toasted and cut into four (for £7.50)! We would have much preferred to have been told they had no focaccia - or flat bread / pitta bread alternative - than have been served that. The waiter and waitress were really lovely (and I think a bit embarrassed) and swapped the burger bap for some chips, but we spent around £31.50 on these food bits and two soft drinks which was not worth it at all. I definitely wouldn't go back, sorry! P.s thanks for your reply BH&K but I've emailed you twice and haven't heard anything back. Thanks

Had a wonderful meal, the Sunday beer can chicken was really hot but still very juicy and tender, so many vegetables as well! All this and washed down with a good ale! 🍺 what could be better? ! Service was top notch!

Staff were lovely but I ordered the halloumi fries for £7 and I literally only got 6 fries which just wasn't filling at all and felt unfair. Please improve.

Had the fish and chips unfortunately they were just swimming in grease and the chips it said the were triple cooked but were so over cooked and absolutely drowned in grease sat at my table outside for 40 minutes and finished my drink and nobody came to clear the table or ask how my meal was It’s a shame because it a beautiful pub

Great afternoon spent at the Brewhouse & Kitchen - Poole on a beer masterclass for a birthday treat. 8 beers / lagers including a German smoked beer, a tour of the microbrewery, a fully informative session and a tasty burger meal to soak up the alcohol! Highly recommended. Thank you Sophie & Ewan for a memorable afternoon.

Great pub to head to for great ales and other drinks. Food is really good too. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Visited on 26th May, booked a table in advance but place was empty.on arriving we informed staff of booking, just shrugged and said sit anywhere ! Tables not cleaned and bar was covered in dirty glasses, Sunday roast were off the menu but we had decided not to eat due to the lack of service. The area manager was sat in the bar but showed no interest , stsff also a little unkempt ,will never visit again.PS toilet seat wonky and toilets smelt horrible .

Chicken schnitzel not available. Beer can chicken very dry. Mac & cheese not nice. Tiny portions of rainbow slaw. Very disappointing food after previous good experience with Sunday lunch. Hope it was just a blip.

I did the brewery experience day with my son and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Ewan (the brewery) was really knowledgeable and engaging which made the day fly by. We helped with the brewing where possibly and when not helping we were drinking beer. The day included a breakfast roll and lunch and too much beer 🍻 (only knew it was too much the following day:-)). Would definitely recommend.

Small portions of food and looks like they never change the oil... we feel that manager and staff member laughed about us and my Spanish friends because they can't speak English when they ask for more sauce... really bad, I been there last year different management, was amazing but now it's so bad, not come back again, and my wife went to toilet smells so bad and no hot water at all

Excellent food once again! Steak was perfectly cooked with garlic butter, and the belly pork just melted in the mouth! Staff were friendly and checked back on us 5-10 minutes in to make sure everything was okay! Couldn’t fault the food or staff at all.

Nice drinks and seating areas. However ladies toilets smell like a hamster cage and only one toilet with a lock on it. The other one you have to sit with your hand closing the door!

Twice I've wasted my money in this place. Staff and manager have terrible attitude towards customers. Food is lazy, cold and over priced. Avoid

BH&K is our go-to spot when visiting friends in Dorset. The service and the food are excellent, and the range of beers is varied and always different.

Had 2 nights out here as staying across the road. Loved it staff so helpful and friendly. Glad I didn't have far to walk if you know what I mean. I really hope that I'll be able to come back again. Hopefully I'll stay here again.

There was a workman sanding the top of the door entrance on arrival that was awkward gaining access. No one was behind the bar when we went inside & so waited for a few minutes for staff to arrive - not a good welcome at 1PM on a Monday lunchtime. The micro-brew lager I had was OK, but I was expecting a lot more comparing to other micro breweries I have visited. It was nothing special & a tad flat. My wife had G&T and she said it was nice but the glass was worn & tired so it looked dirty - even though it wasn't - but that's off putting when going out to 'wine & dine'. We were celebrating a birthday so we went for starters & mains from menu. It was a disappointment - and on leaving - there was a very young lady in the kitchen & I was left with the realisation our food had not been cooked by a very experience chef - which explains the quality issues we had with our 3 starters & main. See below for detail on the food items. Starter portion sizes were not value for money at all for £20. Starters Bread & Oil - nice, no issues. Calamari - very very small portion for £7.50. I expected 5 or 6 whole ringlets for a starter. But it was more like 2 maybe 3 cut into smaller pieces to make it look more - but it was simply too mean a portion. It was slightly overdone, too, but tasty to be fair. Chicken Wings - Jalapeno. This was the best thing we ate out of everything - delicious! again, a bit mean on portion sizes - another 2 or 3 pieces would have made it more value for money. Main We both had the chicken schnitzel, slaw, chips & onion rings. All the food coating was dark in colour - it had been deep fried too long and in dirty oil. That was obvious by colour of chips and the mixed taste - lingering of fish. The slaw was just purple cabbage with a slither of carrot. it was a bit shrivelled and not tasty at all - dry with no sauce of any kind. I was expecting a normal white cabbage mayo type slaw. The chicken was dry as it had been cremated. The coating was so crispy it was dark brown and breaking off. my wife couldn't cut hers with a knife but she is a bit of a weakling - but it was hard going. The chips were over done - no fluffy potato inside at all - but i was ok with that as I like crispy fries - but these were V crispy. The onion rings were greasy, tasted OK, but didn't look good. Overall it was poor, edible yes, but portion sizes of starters too small, over done frying of the mains. Would not go again. Even though it was Monday lunchtime - that is no excuse for a poor experience of an establishment that advertise themselves as a quality food place to eat in Poole, no where near. It was cold in there too , no heating. Still a cold spring day not summer time. Zero atmosphere at the time we visited - no one in the bar except us - should have cottoned on why no one else was there and left and gone elsewhere.

Hosted an early evening meeting about a community garden. Staff were attentive, and happy for us to rearrange all the furniture. I had a very good stout, and the fish and chips.

Didn't eat but the staff were very friendly And helpful with advice on the beers which were excellent,will definitely return and eat here next time.

Unfortunately we had an awful experience here. We ordered on the app sat in the courtyard with our dogs. After 20 mins we hadn't received our drinks. Went to the bar who didn't have the order but gave us our drinks. I checked food was being cooked. They hadn't received the order either although showing on their system. We waited another 20 mins. Salad was disappointing, burger they first brought a child's portion which was changed. They forgot our extra chips and I had to ask for the extra bacon we had paid for. All in all a really bad experience and the staff although friendly were not very apologetic.

Really good food prepared quickly, super friendly staff, well-spaced tables and comfortable chairs to sit in. We all had a great time and can thoroughly recommend a night out here.

Sorry but as a thank you meal to my dad for the few days in Poole very disappointing. Waited 40 minutes for roast dinner.. One came beef un-cuttable so put back. Rest average. Portion of macaroni for £13.50 was less than a side plate? Beer spilt in brothers gin.. Gravy spilt on mum... And zero off bill. Won't be back I'm afraid.

We were a table of 12, we booked a meal before visiting the lighthouse theatre. Two of us had fish & chips, it arrived with the fish looking really burnt, the batter was black in places. When cutting into the fish, the "fish" was bearly there !! The batter was hard & burnt !! Both of us tried not to complain & worked our way through the burnt batter ( the chips were nice) when the waitress took our plates after the meal, we advised her how terrible our meal had been & that she needs to tell the chef that the fish was burnt & not edible. (Worse fish & chips ever had ) she apologised for our bad experience & said she would pass our complaint onto the chef. Upon paying, we thought that the bad meals may have been compensated, but the same waitress said, no sorry but she does apologise. At this stage, the manager walked into the bar & we spoke to him about how terrible our meals had been. He knew nothing about the complaint, (the waitress had not informed him) He immediately said he would refund us for our horrible meals. We feel that the waitress had been very unprofessional in the way she handled the complaint, however once the manager knew about the situation he rectified it immediately - well done to him. The rest of the meals were a combination of Dry / over cooked or ok !! Unfortunately, we won't rush back, which is a pity because its a perfect location for people looking for a meal before seeing a show at the Lighthouse Theatre. Brewhouse - You need a better chef !!

Two of us had fish and chips. The batter on the fish was hard and thick (I think the fish had been fried in it several times), and the fish itself had shrivelled up so that there was a large gap between the batter and the fish. It was terrible and when we complained we got feedback that the chef was sorry, but we had to pay full price anyway. We asked for the manager, and he was shocked that the food was so bad and we had still been expected to pay full price, He arranged a refund and that is why service got 3 stars, and not one. Most people in our party had burgers. Some of them were OK but most were over cooked, and the exteriors were hard - again like they had been recooked from a previous meal. All in all, this is not a place to go for food.

So sad, went for a Sunday roast before covid and it was lovely. Went today very disappointing sadly. I hope they read so the situation can be sorted. I had the 3 meat roast. My daughter roast pork husband beef. Understandable I thought I would pay more but I had such a small slice of pork a slice of thin beef and dry chicken mostly bone. It said it came with all trimmings. I didn't have sage and onion or crackling like my daughter but then she was scared of breaking her teeth on it even the dog didn't take her chance on eating it. Sorry to sound harsh but I have to be honest. Take reviews as a way of learning on mistakes as you hardly had many customers better food more customers. My husband can also teach your chef how to do roast potatoes properly too.

Had a beer and whiskey pairing course with Euan. Was absolutely fantastic. Very knowledgeable. Learnt a lot and had great fun.

An excellent venue for food and beer. I had a roast dinner with 3 different meats, and an excellent porter to wash it down with. The only negative was the stealth tax on our bill. We paid the bill, then realised afterwards that a 'discretionary service charge' had been added.

Really disappointed sadly, first time visiting and the food was not edible . We had x 2 steaks and it was full of fat and the onion rings were cremated. No one came to check how the food was and we have come away hungry . I am not one to complain on site as I feel awkward but it has left a bad feeling

Euan was a perfect host for the whisky and beer tasting, great knowledge and made the whole experience a lot of fun
