Good value and range of dishes. Served without undue delay and the staff always check with you are happy with what you’ve ordered.

We gave it 4 stars because it met our expectations. Good pub grub and reasonably priced. Staff are pleasant and helpful The place is clean and tidy although I did have a sticky table. Despite several attempts by the waitress to clean it , I had to borrow some beer mats off the bar to prevent my shirt sleeve sticking to the table.

Was driving past and decided to pop in for dinner so glad we did, great food, service was quick, friendly helpful staff. Will be back soon.

What a dismal place Having booked over a week ago For 2 and our pet dog having read the reviews we got there having travelled down from Yorkshire only to find they had only booked a normal table without dog rushing around to try find us a table put directly on front of a door that was opened all the time Tried saying something to a manager only to be fobbed off we ended up walking out and to be honest found a much better place felt welcome enjoyed our meal In our view go somewhere else Very disappointed

Came with my boyfriend for the quiz. Was a great atmosphere. Despite them being busy they were smiley and attentive with quick service. The quiz master also let us know of all upcoming events and we will definitely be back. Pleasantly surprised

Been to the pub quiz many many weeks in a row with my dad, always been a good time whether we win (rarely) or lose. Great selection of beer and the quizmaster always brings a good laugh to the evening. Great burgers aswell

Had a great lunch here after a day out. Food was lovely and the chef (I think it was Trevor) went above and beyond to make sure your preferences were accounted for. Would definitely come back.

Friendly and efficient service, perfect serve on drinks and well presented tasty food. Nothing was too much trouble. Shout out to Dylan for his great service. Free live music was an added bonus.

This is the 3rd time we’ve had food at the pub i don’t like to leave Bad reviews but unfortunately the food is Terrible. I ordered fish chips & peas,the peas were cold & the fish was Off the smell was disgusting I couldn’t eat any of it,I would of complained but my wife doesn’t like any confrontation,on a previous visit I had the mix grill it was swimming in Fat & again it was hardly cooked. It’s a shame really as the pub has real potential but the food needs seriously sorting out.

The restaurant is in a good location with easy access and plenty of parking. The atmosphere is very inviting and Rebecca was absolutely brilliant. She was very friendly and made our time there very pleasant. The food was excellent, in fact the chicken & mushroom pie was the best I have ever had. We had a lovely table by a window which added to our enjoyment. We will definitely be going here again.

So, this pub has recently been taken over and to say the new staff are a little bit behind would be an understatement. As you enter the family beer garden, it tells you to rest your legs, use the QR code to order from the table for drinks and food and let them do the work for you!! Brilliant!! Well, we ordered food for the children, and when it came, they didn’t bring cutlery!! When I asked the waiter and waitress for some, the staff looked like they were annoyed with me. They then brought it out with no condiments. Oops sorry I tell a lie, there was salad cream, hot English mustard and brown sauce, no ketchup and no napkins!! Come on Kings Corner, this is basic stuff. That being said, the kids loved the food yet the play area is in need of massive renovation. There needs to be a bit for younger kids and more for the older ones. Lastly, well done on making the family area a food area, as the previous owners never had this and it was very annoying. Just a few minor improvements will get you the 5 out of 5!!!!

Even when busy, the staff delivered and remained composed and friendly. Food was very good and well presented.

We all had a great meal, alongside a huge range of drinks everybody was catered for! We will be visiting again in the near future

Right. This is unacceptable. Came for son’s birthday dinner and him and his girlfriend wanted sausage and mash and they proceeded to tell us they didn’t have any. Then he said he’ll have a sirloin they then said there was non of that either. So in the end we decided to go for 4 rump steaks. AND THEN they let us know they only had 3 so my poor son had to have a burger instead. I AM APPALLED OF THIS BEHAVIOUR. Not only did all this happen we booked a table for 7 and they proceeded to tell us that we apparently booked it at 4 WHY WOULD WE BOOK IT AT 4???? THATS NOT DINNER TIME!!!!!!!!! 0/5

Looong wait for food for both courses. Friendly staff but food no longer value for money. Been twice in a week cos both were booked. Wont be returning. Tiny portions almost miniscule. Hard dry bread. Table spoon of leaves for a side salad. Slop for a curry barley any veg. Lasagne dried out and only thin layer in the pot. Used to love this place did lovely food. NOT ANY MORE.

Absolutely appalling….. didn’t eat it.. my salad was soggy and the prawns had been defrosted under a tap…. translucent…l was a restaurateur and publican so l know what lm talking about my husband chips were cold and soggy and the fish was overcooked….so so disappointed as we had been going in there under the previous management never never had a bad meal…. Yey ho how times change for the absolute worst …. what a tragedy

Food good and value for money, as always but bar staff and manager are disorganised and discourteous. It took 20 minutes for me to get served at the bar as the staff hadn't a clue who arrived in which order. Manager went off to arrange some tables when she could clearly see I was waiting to order Food. The table she went to arrange was still. Not occupied when we finished our meal.

It’s brilliant to see good range of Gluten Free food.. it’s slightly bit expensive for what we had.. gluten free hunter’s chicken - the chicken was tiny! they covered up the chicken with chips so it not noticeable until we start eating. The chicken is about same size as half the size of the glasses case!! They cooked and served quite quick 👍 It’s very busy, you need to book a table if you don’t want to wait long to eat.

Love the new menu, the vegetarian Thai curry was a big hit. Great value for money especially with a free drink. Servers are very friendly and helpful.

Had a meal on Friday evening with my family for my sons 20th birthday. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff even though it was busy service was fast. Our meals came out quickly & the portion sizes were really good. Would definitely recommend. We'll be back soon! Thank you. 😊

I took my wife for a meal to try and cheer her up as her mother passed away recently, so I took her to a recommended kings corner. Well I can certainly say we will NOT BE coming back!!!!!! 45 minutes waited for 1 steak and 1 mixed grill and no the place was not busy. I specifically asked for all my meats on the mixed grill to be very well done. My meat was not cooked as requested steak was bloody gamon was just fat and the chicken was mushy, both meals had peas on and both were cold and hard. No one came to ask if everything was ok with the meal so i just ate the chips my wife's meal was ok other than the peas. I spoke to the bar staff and the cook was stood there and said sorry he had to step out as there was an area manager at the pub so someone had to step into the kitchen and take over ( this could have been Joe blogs the state of the food ) and said can I offer you a free drink, no thanks and we will NOT BE returning.

Three of us visited for Christmas lunch. We had a lovely time from start to finish with such a cosy atmosphere. The trouble taken with the decorations, table settings was very much appreciated.All the staff, both serving and behind the bar, were friendly and kind. The food was really good and the whole experience was very good value. We fully intend to book next Christmas. Happy New Year to everyone at Kings Corner.

Good food, good table service and a good prise. It's a pity that our visit was spoilt by the surliness of the bar staff. Otherwise we would have had no problem in recommending this pub to our friends.

A chain pub and although I've been to others in the chain, I've not been here. This is on the pub side of an eatery rather than a restaurant. Didn't find the staff particularly friendly or welcoming. They presumed you knew you had to order at the bar which I wasn't sure of until I asked. Food was average, presumably microwaved, so why did it take so long to arrive? Fresh milk would have been good with the teas instead of UHT sachets, especially as at one stage, 4 of us were having tea, I even had to ask for milk for one of them. I ordered a latte and hot chocolate - the latte was served, then I was told the machine wasn't working for the hot chocolate. Everything seemed a bit chaotic and soulless, even down to the rationing of serviettes, milk etc - obviously strict portion control. On the positive the menu has a large selection, including vegetarian

Had Sunday lunch here yesterday and it was very tasty. The beef was so tender and we were given a good variety of vegetables (though the carrots were overcooked). Big improvement on our last meal .

The Kings Corner was lovely and warm we had two perfect rump steaks medium rare chips were excellent. We had two desserts mine a gluten free sticky toffee pudding and a jam sponge with custard very good a couple of drinks very happy with the service and help on gluten free pudding by the excellent waitress Mackey. Visited during outside only attendance, all properly maintained covid restrictions in place, great staff to make food and drink ordering easy and table service is the future, great place for meeting friends and a drink.

I was looking forward to visiting the establishment again for the first time in many months, however, I was highly disappointed. Not only did my coke have an overly syrup/disinfectant type of taste but the food took almost 2 hours to arrive. The meal was satisfactory at the time yet has left me feeling unwell at present. I’m sure it was just the lack of experience with the new situation- so no worries!

Went for lunch at Kings Corner, staff excellent and very polite, our food was very good, piping hot, will go again because of that, but on another table two ladies wasn't happy with their Fish meals we came in in after them and they didn't...

Visited on a Saturday afternoon as a family of four. Staff were pleasant and friendly.Unfortunately the food was really poor. The prawn cocktail had slimy, opaque prawns and looked thrown together. I had a dry burger. My wife had a steak and ale pie that was very grisly. Our children ate from the kids menu and their meals were fine.We also thought some of the COVID measures on place were poor. Although we were greeted at the door by a member of staff who explained everything and the pub was table service only, we seemed to be sat very close to other diners. Much closer than we’ve experienced elsewhere during the current situation.We won’t be back in a hurry.

First visit since lockdown, really poor, told at the door that track and trace can be done done but then no info as to what to do. Sat outside and it was very quite yet still the table we were sat at was dirty and had not been cleaned. Simply unacceptable in normal times never mind during Covid 19 times. Will not be revisiting in the near future.
