Fuimos con un Groupon por 2, más 1 adicional. Selección de bebidas era buena, con un par de IPAs de barril y una buena selección de licores podía ver detrás de la barra. Teníamos un Prosecco con la oferta que era bastante bueno. En cuanto a la comida, hamburguesas (de los que hay varios en el menú), las que fueron de calidad y perfectamente cocinado, con patatas fritas de camote o regular la piel en patatas fritas. Nuestro plus 1 era sin gluten así que teníamos una hamburguesa sin el pan y nos dieron una ensalada en su lugar. El servicio era genial. En general, una gran experiencia y sin duda volveremos.

Normalmente esperar unos seis meses antes de examinar un sitio nuevo, pero hemos hecho una excepción esta vez con la mecha. He visitado de nuevo y tengo que decir que era 100% mejor que mi anterior experiencia. Buena cálida bienvenida con que todos sonrisa importante del personal con el servicio rápido y atento, buena música de fondo y una comida muy agradable. Si puedes mantener este nivel debe hacer bien.

Fuimos a almorzar en un groupon, no me puedo quejar. Fuimos recibidos por Sammy, que era muy cortés y servicial, una señora encantadora. El lugar en sí está muy bien decorado, y tiene un cómodo, ambiente relajado.

Nos sentamos en la mesa número 1. . Qué puedo decir aparte de fantástico! ! El personal va más allá, al chef, cada comida que he pedido ha sido perfecto! El sandwich de carne cocinados a la orden, son raras, y llegó de tamaño poco común, un enorme gracias a mi amigo sigan con el buen trabajo y ahora a Daniel un crédito para la mecha! Se esfuerzan para hacer que cada visita sea placentera nada es demasiado no importa lo ocupado que estás Gracias Daniel we volveremos x

We visited last night with a Groupon voucher - what an absolute bargain. We had prosecco and the tower burger which was really nice. Didn't know what to expect as it was so cheap but the burger was delicious. The staff were all very smiley and friendly. We will definitely be going again as even without the groupon deal the prosecco and food offer is very good value.

This was our first time attending The Wick, as we had a Groupon offer to use. We ordered some drinks at the bar and then offered to sit anywhere. The barman brought over some menu's for us to look at whilst he went to get the prosecco as part of our offer. He was very friendly and chatty and polite. We ordered and the food came quickly and was very hot. It was cooked and served in a rustic style which I particularly like! He put the rest of our drinks and additional food on a tab which we just paid on the way out. I would definitely go to The Wick again, they have a cocktail bar in the next room which I would like to experience.

Piped in Wednesday day got brilliant service from Sammie and the food was incredible compliments to the chef Adrienn highly recommended it.

Popped in here on a windy Monday - received a warm welcome. It is a bright and funky pub with cosy nooks and eclectic furniture. At first glance the limited menu may not promise much, but this meant that our food was made fresh and served quickly. Delicious burgers and fab fries. All this in a deal for 2 meals and a bottle of Prosecco for £19.99! We were served by Daniel, who was friendly and attentive. Would recommend whole-heartedly and can't wait to return

Tried The Wick for lunch last week. It was comfortable, the staff were very pleasant, and the food was super. Large portions, at a reasonable price, and a great pint of Bass. Who could want for more ? We'll be back.

To be honest this was a Group On deal Pizza or Burger and chips and a bottle of proscecco for the grand price of £15, now thats what I call value! However, this being said I did cast my eye over the in house menu and found that the prices for central Derby are highly competitive. Standard of catering was excellent as was the attentiveness of the staff, I couldn't fault it. We shall use the Wick again and again. I certainly would recommend the Wick to friends and family. Try it, you won't regret it.

we called in here on our way to the theater and the wick has reinvented itself as a stylish and comfortable place to eat .the food and service being of a high standard. only one minor niggle it would be nice to see a greater choice of real ales.

First visit as a four to the wick service was excellent and the burgers are 5* would recommend. All the staff are friendly, special mention to Daniel (guy with a big beard) who looks after you throughout your visit.

We went to the wick after visiting the theatre. We used a Groupon voucher. We had a lovely evening. Meal was lovely and service could not be faulted. All staff were polite and very attentive. Looking forward to visiting again.

Had an early evening reservation and received friendly welcome. An historic building with contemporary style and a relaxing feel. Dined from the pizza and burger menu, which had good choice and variation.The staff and service were excellent, which added to the experience.Great for traditional beers, or a more sophisticated cocktail.

Can't wait to go back. A nice, relaxed atmosphere, filling and fresh food with a friendly and attentive member of staff. Wish I had room for pudding.... next time!

Visited the Wick pub 2/2/17 since it has changed. The decor was brighter and fresh. Staff were very helpful from Sammy taking the booking to Daniel making us very welcome. He was even our wing man later for us later in the evening. It was very quiet but it could be it was a Thursday night. Daniel explained the selection of gins and conversation was good. The menu is not extensive but the food was good and plentiful. We were very impressed with the service and would visit again.

Had an amazing mid week meal here with my boyfriend. Didn't realise that The Wick had had a refurb and now do food. Both ordered a beef and pulled pork burger which was beautiful!! The waiter Daniel (guy with a lovely beard) was friendly and helpful! Made us feel special :) Will be coming back here for food!

We went to the wick with a groupon voucher for a date night, easy to book, fantastic customer service- the young man who served us (wednesday night) was brilliant. Food was fast to arrive, delicious! will definatley be returning soon even without a voucher.Worth every penny.

What a great dinning experience just got home from the wick had a fantastic meal barman Daniel was so nice and attentive polite kind and friendly, when I bought the groupon for my husband and I and my son and daughter in law my hubby was not impressed, however after tonight he's changed his mind just a lovely relaxed atmosphere,good selection of gins they don't rip you off for soft drinks either, will definitely be returning. We have dined at the Ritz in London but this was a far better experience. Thank you so much. The Bott family.

This was a Groupon, it stated we needed to book but I couldn't get anyone to answer the telephone, so we decided just go to the place and see if we could just book in there and then! It wasn't very busy and the place wasn't very warm, but it was nicely decorated. We were made very welcome by the Bar staff a young girl called Sammy. She explained what our voucher was worth ! The choices were mainly burger or pizza related with what we thought was a glass of Prosecco but it was a bottle!!! The service was excellent and we couldn't fault the food, lots of it Very good value.

My friend and I had a Groupon voucher and came in for Burger and Presecco. We were greeted at the bar and shown to a table. Sammy one of the bar staff explained what we could order and bought our bottle of presecco over and opened it for us. Our meal arrived and was hot and very delicious, one of the best burgers I have ever had, certainly home made. Very filling. Sammy came and asked if everything was ok, she was lovely, very attentive which made our first visit extra special. We will certainly came again. Keep up the good work.

My family and i dined there on a groupon,I have to say what great value.we had dine for two with a bottle of prosecco for £15 crazy.Three of us had the burger which was excellent and my wife had a pizza which she was ok.Very friendly staff, would i eat there again yes for sure.

Good pub grub, friendly service and nice decorThe pub has had a complete makeover and refurb - nice place to chill out with a beer or for date night. Decent burgers and pizzas available. Prosecco deal offers good value. If you like hot food, ask for the hot sauce - it definitely hit the spot!

Visited previously under the old name "Wardwick" now trying to re-invent itself and I must admit the first impressions are very good, well laid out and good decoration. Visited on a Thursday night with a Groupon deal and it was well worth the value, however it was deserted so very little atmosphere and it was quite cold. Service was good but as soon as we left the doors were shut, just a slow night.

Went just after Xmas and had a wowcher voucher for 2 stone baked pizza and bottle of Prosecco ..Personally I never knew it was there and is just across the road from Revolution de cuba. Easy parking in the multi storey Car park behind so only had a few minutes to walk there.We was welcomed straight away with a friendly smile and let us sit in the booth area..The Prosecco was put in an ice bucket so was nice and cold..got to say the pizza's were fantastic and I would definitely go there again and recommend to all...The service was above and beyond and lovely atmosphere. It was a chilled and relaxed environment.

Fantastic evening in the wick had the Groupon deal but would have still paid the 20 tbh gorgeous food we had the wick burger and the festive pizza between us beautiful and the service from Sammie was sublime and exactly what customer service should be

I found a Groupon offer for lunch for two with procesco so I booked this and met a friend there for lunch. First impressions were that it was nicely refurbed, but cold. There seemed to be a heating issue as the portable heaters around the place kept going off.Staff were excellent, helpful and accomadating. Our food was tasty

We went to this restaurant on 30 November. The three of us had burgers & fries plus Prosecco. The burgers were tasty & delicious and a special thanks to Sammy who made us feel really welcome. She sorted out our meal & drink and had a table reserved for us. We would definitely eat there again.

First time visiting this establishment and loved it. My partner and I went for lunch on a Tuesday and cannot fault the service or the food. The quality of the burgers were beyond my expectations for the cost. They were generous size portions and quality ingredients. The Wick burger was exceptional and I'm fussy with my burgers. We had gone for the two meals and prosecco deal and thoroughly enjoyed it.The place with very clean and tidy and had clearly been renovated lately with quirky and cosy furnishings.Only thing that stops me from scoring this excellent is that it was too cold in there, they did have the heaters on but it just wasn't warming the place up.Very happy and will be returning.

Three of us regularly go out on a Wednesday for a meal. This week we chose the "Wick".It started poorly and just didn't get better.Arriving at 6:15 there were around 8 guests in total all with drinks/ food already. The bar was unoccupied and it took around 10 minutes to get served two drinks.One thing that struck us instantly was how COLD he place was. We had to leave our coats on the entire visit! It's November for goodness sake..! We ordered three "Wick Burgers" and again had to wait around 45 minutes for these to arrive, served by someone who appeared not to give a care. My burger was solid and very tasteless. In addition the cutlery was soiled which is quite off putting. It's the first Wednesday burger I have had to leave half eaten...The food is cheap, but frankly I'd rather pay three times the price to have a warm friendly atmosphere.Definitely won't be returning.

This refurbished Pub-Restaurant is currently offering an unbelievable bargain deal through Wowcher, - pizza and Prosecco for two. Sam served us in a very friendly and professional manner ; she is obviously experienced in looking after customers and couldn't do enough for us. The choice of pizzas was great, very tasty thin and crispy. Highly recommended.

I haven't been in for a while and was shocked at how much the decor has changed it looks so smart! We ordered 2burgers which were fantastic too. Would highly recommend and return!

Well what a lovely surprise this lovely little pub which I have seen go up and down over a number of years has had a make over and looks great.We came here and the lady behind the bar was great she showed us the new seating area outside and wow it's amazing.Yes a few steps that seem steeper the longer you staywould reccomend

Well what more can I say!! I've popped into the Wick a couple times for lunch and both times I have been more than satisfied with the food, drinks and service. The first visit I opted to 'The One' pizza with a side of sweet potato fries. These pizzas are homemade there and then once ordered which attracted me to it in the first place. When the pizza arrived I was shocked at the size, I wasn't expecting it to be so big and so full of toppings. The pizza was amazing definitely recommend trying it. The sweet potato fries were perfect, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, just how they should be. The second visit I had the wick burger. The burger patties are homemade which i much prefer when it comes to eating out. The burger was so full of flavour, one of the best burgers I have ever had!! The staff are so friendly and make you feel at home from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out. I highly recommend this place.

We had a burger & fries as well as a pepperoni pizza with drinks (pint & a half of Peroni and an apple juice) all for £24.You can tell it is all freshly prepared and homemade/handmade (apart from the chips). Pizza was beautiful and thin stone baked, the burgers were delicious, how they make any money is beyond me. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, I definitely recommend this nice little place.

I came to the Wardwick last week with a few friends. It's been 2 years since my last visit and you can tell things have changed and improved. After a couple of beers, we decided to order a some food for the table. We shared the homemade sausage rolls, a pizza and some fries. They were good, but we're also incredible value for money. We will be back, bringing a strong appetite with us. Cheers guys :) :)

We have been here for a mid week treat about four times now. They do excellent burgers and hand made pizza for around £6 each. There is also a special for £20 for two meals and a bottle of Prosecco. Staff always helpful and polite. They also serve a couple of real ales that have always been well kept.

Two pints of peroni. (One in a Coors glass) nine pounds sixty pence. Wont be going again. Its lager not gold.

Atmosphere was lovely, especially for being in the middle of the city centre and so close to a nightclub. However I did not expect to pay £3.50 for a bottle of Budweiser!!

This pub has a modern feel and is buzzing with a great atmosphere. The drinks are reasonable and look out for the old safe on way to the toilets.Recommend

I enjoyed watching the footie in here on a Saturday so I brought a few friends down for a mid week game and it was closed. Such a shame

This is not the first time my friend & I have visited this pub for afternoon tea. However, it has had a serious makeover recently & now looks brighter & more welcoming & should appeal to a market wider than pub drinkers or those after inner city 'pub grub'.The quality & value of the afternoon tea served here deserves mention & is second to none. Freshly made sandwiches & cakes plus scones with jam & cream & with wine as an alternative to tea is a most acceptable way to spend an afternoon. Plenty of good food coupled with helpful & friendly staff make this a venue we will certainly be visiting again.

We were all fed up of Wetherspoons pubs and food so we tried here. Outside looks nice, walk in, not so nice. There was no one in. We were going to eat but all you could smell was bleach! Tables were very sticky! We had ONE drink, my Dad commented it wasn't nice, then went to The Telegraph

Good range of ales/beers but not a great fan of "flat screen" televisions everywhere. Loved the wooden floor and the worn look of some of the furnishings but this might not appeal to everyone. Service was okay, polite and friendly.

Visited on a Friday night when they had karaoke. the atmosphere was great. Been a few times now on a number of occasions. The entertainment has always been lively. Form 50's singer to a full range of things. Drinks also cheap than most bars and quick service.Sammy you always have a lovely smile.

After first going to this friendly pub about 3 years ago on a Groupon deal for afternoon tea, this has become a regular stopping point. It is not a venue one would obviously spot for afternoon tea, but the host (Carole) has made us welcome on every occasion and the food provided is fresh, plentiful, and extraordinary value for money.Freshly made sandwiches, the best scones I have ever eaten with jam and clotted cream, plus a selection of cakes are tastefully presented and served with a smile, along with wine. You need to book in advance, but the visit here is not one to be missed and I will definitely be returning.

Me and a few friends were passing through town and wanted some grub when this place was handing out some free samples, we were impressed so we went inside.The food was cheap, fantastic quality and the service was great. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.We will definitely be going again :)

Visited may 26th having walked out of revolution. Super food lovely lady. Winners hands down thanks and you dont charge a fortune either nice one.

Finding myself in derby for the afternoon I stumbled accross this pub and was tempted inside by the menu.... the same menu turned out to be the best bit about the venue. The member of staff was slouched on a step behind the bar and made it look like a huge effort to get up and serve me. I was barely acknowleged at all. No pleases and thankyous here. The whole pub was in need of a clean, especially the toilets. The dirt put me off ordering lunch and I finshed my pint and left. Won't be back anytime soon.

My wife and I went to the Wardwick using a Groupon token for a 2 course lunch. We were given the range of the menu to choose from up to the price of the token. It is not an extensive range and the variety of food would not be to everyone's liking but good pub grub!The food was served fresh and quite quickly. I had the "Ram Burger" which came with salad and chips. It was a big meal and my wife had Cumberland sausage and mash with mushy peas and gravy. It was hot although my plate was cold and I do like a hot plate with hot food. The interior of the Wardwick Tavern is a bit like a set from a period TV drama apart from the TVs dotted around the room. By the way I must mention Yasmin the server she was a treasure and an excellent ambassador for the Wardwick.

visited wardwick today for a 2 course lunch. it was great, all homemade and a lot of it. will be back soon.

Didn't visit the loos so can't speak about them as previous reviewer did, but certainly had a great wowcher deal here. Food hot, plentiful and tasty with the steak and ale pie being home made. Chocolate brownie with I've cream to finish couldn't be beaten. The young bar person who served us couldn't have been more polite or helpful. Really added to our experience. Will definitely be coming again.

Toilets are wrong. need a good clean, as does the rest of the place!needs a full refurb of the toilets, i will not return.
