Bethany and team were really helpful. The food was delicious. My friend had chicken caesar salad and I had the belly pork on the Specials Menu. Cannot fault in any way. Highly recommended and the Conservatory has beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.

Disappointingly, my recent meal at Ferrers Arms fell short of expectations. Once a reliable choice for a casual and affordable dining experience, the atmosphere now lacks its former charm, and the prices have skyrocketed without justification. Anticipating a budget-friendly meal, I ordered a burger, only to receive a dry and unremarkable patty accompanied by sparse sides, all for a hefty £15. Comparable eateries offer more flavorful fare at a fraction of the cost. To make matters worse, the final bill for our party of four, food and drinks was almost £150, far exceeding what we would expect to pay for a similar meal elsewhere. Sadly, Ferrers Arms no longer delivers the value and satisfaction it once did. For those seeking a better dining experience without breaking the bank, I'd recommend exploring other options in the area.

Visited with my mum for an impromptu lunch- and it was a lovely visit! Ordered 2 courses from the lunch set menu, which was great value. The food was fantastic, the garlic mash in particular! The atmosphere was lovely and welcoming and staff were friendly and efficient. We will definitely return :)

We visited for lunch on Easter Sunday and had a wonderful experience. Great selection of food from 3 different menus, all reasonable prices. Food came quickly and the quality was great! Fay and Emma were our servers and were lovely and very attentive. We will definitely be returning!

Fantastic meal again tonight at the Ferrers arms we have lived across the road for 8 years and would never eat here as food was terrible but since the new manager and new chef I have to say the food is amazing well done Fay Emma and Beth and the lovely team in the kitchen keep up the good work we will see you soon. Seems to lack atmosphere, staff helpful and friendly. Prices are rising but portions are reducing just needs a little more on the plate.

we had a lovely meal today, same as last time. i like the place just a little moan, no heating on and the place was a little cold which was also said by the table next to us. also like its dog friendly sowill be back with my son and his dog.

It was lovely as always. Staff are friendly, the service was quick and the food was delicious! It is a bit on the expensive side on the drinks department though, but when the service is as good as it always is at The Ferrers Arms, one considers that into the equation.

Lovely staff, very helpful and polite, excellent meal no fancy rubbish, beautifully served as requested, really enjoyable food, my girlfriend and I decided to drop in and have food as passing on our first child free night for many months, very impressed with the whole experience, I have been to many high end eateries but this beats them all, nicely cooked classic food without the pointless extras and rubbish of most chains, top marks to all staff and upkeep of a great pub with nice atmosphere, Thank you.

Great Mother’s Day meal. Staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about the dishes they were serving. The food was delicious. The Sea Bass was cooked really well and the sauce was tasty. All the food was well presented. Being Mother’s Day it was very busy but all orders taken and food served was all at the right pace. Well done to All.

None of our food selections were available ????? Why? no explanation other that we don't have it. The whole menu was extremely expensive. Glass of white wine was £9.75, hello it's no London!! No wonder this place was empty. Never again, we left ASAP and went elsewhere. You've be warned.

Fantastic service, myself and my husband and our 3 children visited on Saturday 24th feb 2024 afternoon and enjoyed a delicious meal with top service. Will definitely return regularly.

We both enjoyed a really nice evening meal, I had the Cod while my partner had the Seabass. The staff were really friendly, helpful and service was quick with the meals. The atmosphere was quick but enjoyable. I would recommend the The Ferrers Arms for a nice quiet evening.

Nice place to eat and great service throughout our visit. We booked in advance and were in a group of 6, no complaints at all from any of us, in fact quite the opposite! Would definitely call back in future.

The staff were friendly. Just enough time between courses. We did not feel rushed or forgotten. The pudding menu felt repetitive. Too many dishes with brownie or salted caramel in, unfortunately I dislike both of these. I walk with a stick and the table was upstairs, wasn't given an option of a table on ground level. I could manage but I saw an elderly lady and an elderly gentleman, from 2 separate parties, struggling down the steps. The Sunday lunch was lovely though.

Myself and a friend visit the Ferrers arms every wednesday. We adore this pub and the staff. They are accomodating, friendly and warm, especially Beth, she is always charming, polite, friendly and helpful. We truly enjoy the atmosphere and the well priced drinks. Thank you.

Absolutely disappointed in our visit tonight You state on the menu Sunday roast served all day. And you run out of everything at 6pm! Our table wasn't ready.. I booked for 6pm Said I would sit with my family in the bar area. Tables were all dirty ! Had to set my own table and clean it also. Myself and my family looked at the menu and it's completely changed! So no roasts available though I'd have gammon as I've had it before and it's very nice. But it's been removed for the Sunday Menu 😕 But decided to have steak myself.. What did I pay £19.50 for? Absolute rip off Steak was full of fat 6 chips I mushroom and 1 tomatoe Husband had sausage and mash. Which looked like it was from the kids menu Kids had Burger and chips from adult menu and said it was okay but was nicer before! Such a shame as we've always enjoyed coming to the pub. But tonight we feel robbed We spent £90.42 Not 1 staff member asked if we was enjoying our meal just took our money and left us. You have lost a very good customer this evening

Went out for dinner with my partner Its actually a really cosy pub, I have been many times and service has always been great. I left feeling annoyed, as I wanted to order a chicken pie but they were out , my partner ordered and then panicked as I couldn't decide what I wanted. I ended up ordering to what I thought was a ham hock pie. Food came after about 40 mins to then be served a ham hock which was on the bone. I do not eat meat off the bone and was very flustered and embarrassed that I had made a mistake and other customers were staring me. The waitress asked if I wanted something else to which I did. It comes to paying, I popped loo so my partner payed and when I got in the car my partner told me he had to pay for the ham hock meal I didn't eat. Now I understand it was my mistake but there was no mention of us having to pay for it nor was I offered to keep the meal. I could of took the ham home to fees the dogs and it wouldn't of gone go waste. I think some clarity would of been better in this instance.

Great Sunday lunch the carvery was excellent meat cooked to perfection and portions very generous. All the staff were friendly and helpful

The food, service and atmosphere was second to none! I had the chicken royale tikka masala and it was amazing, even better than my local takeaway. My husband had the mixed grill and it was cheaper than anywhere in the local area, my husband said it was ‘ bloody delicious’ (his exact words) Thank you to our server Emma, she was brilliant, a real credit to you!

Really great place to bring the kids to burn off some energy whilst you eat and drink. We'll kept outdoor play area and plenty of room to run around. Service was great, everyone very attentive. Food and drink was good value.

The Ferrers is ideally located when we are travelling between the midlands and Derby, staff are friendly and welcoming and food is always good.

There is lots to choose from on the food & drinks menus. The staff are smartly dressed, welcoming and friendly. The pub has plenty of parking and is nicely decorated & clean. There's a lovely Dog Friendly Snug as well. Brilliant venue.

Regular visitor to this great pub/restaurant. Dog friendly and people friendly too.

Lovely staff, really patient with my elderly mother in law. Food was of excellent quality, I had a steak and ale pie with mash and veggies. The only small gripe is, it wasn't very warm in the pub itself. But likely a sign of the times. We'll be back sometime, thank you 🙂

Just had Christmas dinner here and it was excellent, the food was amazing, the service was excellent and overall a very pleasant experience. Always worry having Xmas lunch out but The Ferrers arms exceeded my expectations it was amazing. Already looking forward to booking for next year. Thank you so much to all the staff x

Lovely Emma served us throughout the meal. She was very kind and extremely professional. The food was a cut above expectations. On a par with Repton restaurants.... Very clean and room between the tables...which makes a difference to the experience. On the whole, would recommend The Ferrers.

Lovely lady taking the order. Food portions small not good value for money. One meal sent back but the replacement took so long to arrive the other members of the group had finished their meals. We waited but it still didn't arrive so we paid and left. Very disappointing. We won't return there or any other "Marstons" establishments

The lady who served us was absolutely lovely but there clearly weren't enough staff on duty. The food was nothing special and the portions not very good. Not good value for money. One meal was sent back due to the chicken being very chewy (hunters chicken) a replacement was offered but we had all finished our meal and it still hadn't arrived so we paid and left. What should have been an enjoyable family get together at Christmas was ruined. Very poor. Will not recommend or return

We had our Christmas lunch here. The food was plentiful and tasty. There was 10 of us and cannot find anything to complain about. The restaurant was busy and yet they were so organised. The staff couldn’t do enough for us, so a big shout...

We arrived having not booked a table . We were greeted with a smile and taken to a table. Ours drinks arrived promptly and food order taken. The food was hot and tasty. Becky table checked us and was very polite throughout our visit . Overall a very nice experience and we will be back.

Staff were very friendly. Food quality has improved and was piping hot. Ferrers Arms generally has a much cleaner feel to it nowadays and looks great.

Myself and half our party arrived early and we were happily welcomed and accommodated for drinks at a comfortable table. Once the rest of our group arrived we were seated to dine, and made to feel very welcome. Staff were attentive, patient and helpful. Food did take a while to arrive, but we weren't in a rush and we enjoyed the atmosphere and calm.

The Ferrers is lovely, warm and friendly. The food is fab and service is fantastic. There's plenty of parking, a play area for the children, lovely garden area and dogs are welcome with a doggy menu available. Thank you to Cheyl and her team for always welcoming us with a smile 😃
