Food took a long time to come - so long we were into more drinks while waiting. Another party of similar size who arrived some time after we had also got their food considerably before we did. Also disappointed with the revised menu, particularly for vegetarians. No real replacement for the cheese and leek pie you used to do . Unlikely to visit as a family again as we have two vegetarians.

I had the beef and I would challenge anyone to have sliced it into anything you Could actually chew? It was relaxed with turkey which wasn’t my first choice but edible. Swerve this place because the food is terrible.

Visited on Sunday for Sunday lunch. We were greeted warmly by Katie who sat us in a cosy area near the fire. We chose a couple of roast dinners - portion sizes were amazing and both the meat and vegetables were cooked to perfection. We were looked after by Leo during a really busy time and Emily brought out our food with a lovely smile! Food was truly amazing, great atmosphere and friendly staff - nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended. 🤩

Had a really lovely evening at the Ferrers last night . The service by Leo, Katie and Adele was excellent. The food was great, all fresh, piping hot and beautifully presented. We were meeting old friends so had lots to catch up on and Leo kept the drinks coming and we didn’t feel rushed at all. A really pleasant relaxing evening. Would highly recommend.

On Monday the 13th myself and my friend had the sea bass which was absolutely delicious, my only complaint was it was slightly on the small size and only one veg, I think two veg would be better. We are dining with you again on Monday 20th January, as I now have a 30% discount, very acceptable.

Friendly pub with lots of seating and also dog friendly. They are part of the Marston pubs chain and the food is just as nice as others I've been to.

Staff friendly enough. Didn’t have to wait very long for food. Food all very overcooked and not hot. Meat was chewy and despite nice presentation wasn’t even mediocre. Very unlikely to return

Lovely friendly service, just the right level of attention. The roast dinners were very good - a lot of beef, the vegan tartlet was delicious and both were served with a good selection of nicely cooked vegetables. Very generous portions too.

Went for a family meal to this pub. Complete waste of money and will not be returning. Three of us had the sea bass; this was undercooked and the whole plate was drowned in butter so neither of us was able to finish even half of the food. The service wasn’t great either - the waiter took the wrong order and one of us had to wait more than 10 minutes for their food after everyone else’s arrived as a result of the waiter’s error. This place may be ok for drinks, but would not recommend it for food.

Food was excellent. Perfectly cooked and well presented. Very friendly service and made to feel very welcome. Atmosphere was very flat but only due to it being the lull between Xmas and New year.

We were quite disappointed to be honest.. The wait between courses was too long & the main meal was luke warm.. All the other times we've been, the food & service has been spot on.. Being Christmas day, it should've been better than it was, especially when paying that kind of money..

We went to Ferrers Arms for lunch with friends (it was about halfway between our two houses. We had not been before and it was ideally positioned). It was warm and inviting, well decorated for Christmas. The food was excellent and there was a wide selection of drinks. We intend to come again when we next meet up.

Had lunch today. Food and service was excellent. Lovely friendly staff.sirloin steak was very tender and well cooked.

Only popped in for drinks which are expensive anyway bar staff say read card reader I just looked at amount and paid not realising on there is leave a tip or not so if you don't tap leave a tip or not you tip 20% wow £25 round ended up over £30 bar staff need to make this clear

Beware... if you are looking for a Christmas meal, you need to book your meal in advance. My friend asked to see the specials menu, we were told no specials available. My friend asked if a Christmas meal was available as there was nothing on the normal menu, we were told that has to booked in advance.... this is an all day eatery with lots of walks in... its the 7th December & there is no Christmas meal option available unless its booked in advance.... absolutely ridiculous.

Excellent meal for our works Christmas Do. Never easy feeding 25 people all together, but all food was hot, tasty and there was plenty of it. Staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. Loretta, Adele, Leo, Leah and the guys in the back, thank you for a fantastic afternoon

Facilities were excellent. Food-good portions and hot. Having pre-ordered meant little wait or disruption. 15 people and three dogs in the dog snug was brilliant. As always service was brilliant but this time you excelled. For an 80th birthday lunch with family from West Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, Worcester, Tamworth and Bristol you did us proud. All we can say is thanks and keep up the great work.

We were a fairly large group of 7 fussy elderly folk. But we were made very welcome and all really enjoyed a couple of hours eating, drinking and chatting.

Went for a birthday lunch on Saturday 13/04/24. We were given a warm welcome by Fay, and then were very well looked after by Emma. Food was excellent, and we couldn’t fault anything about our visit.

Went to The Ferrers today for lunch with my husband and Mother in Law. Lovely chilled atmosphere as always and we were made to feel welcome by Katie who explained how to order off the app. Food was excellent and portion size was spot on! Compliments to the chef! Went out for a family meal. Was great service from the moment we walked in. Leia was our waitress and was so lovely! We had burgers and lasagna which was hot and wholesome.

I love eating here when I come to our head office and have taken all of my colleagues with me on separate occasions. The atmosphere is lovely and friendly and the food is very tasty. It is served quickly and is piping hot (hate lukewarm food). I keep trying new things on the menu and haven't been disappointed yet. The servers are friendly and can't do enough for you. It is my go to place to eat when I am visiting on business.

Popped in after visiting the Artisan Fair at Staunton Harold, where the house was opened up. Food and beer were good with a pleasant atmosphere

We dined with our daughter & family, so 4 adults & 3 children 5, 8, & 10. Our waitress Leah, was fantastic. So kind, thoughtful & helpful especially with the children. The food was good, came quickly & the children were served first, which was brilliant@

Service very slow, One member of staff behind bar. Mediocre food, price for premium lager as expected BUT £9.95 for glass of wine out of kilter with other like establishments in the area. Very disappointing. Would not recommend to friends in the area. Marstons need to come back down to reality.

My wife and myself have been coming here for sometime now. Lovely location and the ideal place to take guests or members of the family. The 30% offer is welcoming. I have also been able to use my defence discount card for a limited time which is also helpful. The staff are always friendly the service is good and the food is delicious 😋 We will be back 😋

Really enjoyed our visit here. Food was lovely, separate gluten free menu with separate fryers which is great for coeliac like me. Our server Alex was brilliant and went above and beyond to ensure we had a good experience.

Lunch today for 4 - friendly staff & good service but unfortunately the food was disappointing!! From the lunch special menu the steak ( ordered as medium/ rare ) was very chewy & overdone , & barely warm. The fish Goujons did not contain much fish! However, sausage & mash & tikka masala were good. Desserts were tasty but coffee was very weak & served with custard cream biscuits ( a first for us!!) On the whole not good value.

Love coming here, staff are always friendly and helpful. Food is to die for. Always rave about the ferrers to friends and family. Can’t wait to come around Christmas time!

Fantastic all round. Atmosphere was lovely and relaxed just what we needed. Can’t wait to visit at Christmas they some great events planned(we were cheeky and asked if Santa was coming 😂 )

A very pleasant environment; had the specials menu pan fried chicken which was over cooked so the chicken was somewhat tougth

It is a lovely venue - the decor is warm and cosy which matches the space. It was absolutely throwing it down with rain when we arrived so to walk into a lovely, friendly venue and be welcomed was a delight. The food was excellent in terms of quality and presentation and was brought to the table with perfect timing to allow us to relax between courses. The front of house staff were attentive and engaging and tolerated my terrible jokes. "Zesty lemon tart madam" "how dare you Sir, you have only just met her!!" All in all, it was a great way to while away a Saturday night when a storm is raging outside. My thanks to all the staff - front of house and kitchen & bar - you did yourselves proud!!

The staff are brilliant, so friendly and attentive. The food is delicious, you need to try the pork belly burger, it is to die for! We come here regularly and cannot recommend it enough! You will also not get better service anywhere else!

Really helpful serving staff and the kitchen were able to accommodate our request for altering one of the standard dishes we ordered (the special fish dish wasn't available, so they used the ingredients for the special with the seabass instead). The 30% off vouchers meant the meals were great value too

Booked a table for 5 for Sunday lunch. Ordered drinks, then tried to order 3 Turkey roasts ( including a child’s) no Turkey no beef left?? Didn’t want pork. The other two meals were fish -special of the day Cod and pan fried sea bass. Manageress came to tell us that they had no fish either. We expressed our disappointment but she couldn’t care less and said they only order so many? It was 3pm and they advertise Sunday lunches all day. There was no apology and still took the money for the drinks we left at table. Disgusting service, no customer care at all and needless to say we will be returning:(

Aug 24: I went for Wednesday pie day and had a chicken and mushroom pie. Very nice and well cooked (although they forgot the carrots and I didn't notice until we got home). Otherwise, all good and great service. June 24: A good menu selection that was well presented and tasted great. Service was excellent and brought out quickly. Plenty of outdoor seating. Easy and convenient parking at the front of the pub.

The Ferrers never disappoints! Food is always excellent, staff are extremely welcoming and helpful and we always leave happy. Pub itself is very cosy and ideal for families. Highly recommend!

Great place, beautiful surroundings and on a good day, lovely to sit out. Nicely kept Pedigree and decent wines. Lots of character indoors, and staff were excellent. A decent menu, with food that's not exactly cordon bleu, but is good enough to keep us as visitors...

As a couple we visited twice in a week for lunch. First time we used the 30% off voucher. Menu had good choices and food was fine. 2nd time it resembled a creche. Staff seemed disinterested, with one holding a baby whilst trying to use the till - we left and ate elsewhere. I think you have to take your chances at lunchtime.

Visited at 5.30pm Sunday 8th Sept. I would love to leave a lovely review however I am totally underwhelmed by my experience here today. On arrival we was told no carvery left, another table told no rib eye. I ordered homemade chicken skewers. At over £16 for this meal I expect to be stuffed. Well 4 pieces of chicken on some sort of bread and a couple of veggies didnt quite fill me up. Shame as may have returned. We paid the bill. Not once were we asked, is everything ok? Also at the till, a lady took our payment with no conversation or ask if everything ok? I would have told you of my disappointment there and then. 🙄😥
