Lovely pub, great location, ample parking. The menu has loads of variety, but what stands out is the great customer service. Thank you!

I love eating here when I come to our head office and have taken all of my colleagues with me on separate occasions. The atmosphere is lovely and friendly and the food is very tasty. It is served quickly and is piping hot (hate lukewarm food). I keep trying new things on the menu and haven't been disappointed yet. The servers are friendly and can't do enough for you. It is my go to place to eat when I am visiting on business.

Service very slow, One member of staff behind bar. Mediocre food, price for premium lager as expected BUT £9.95 for glass of wine out of kilter with other like establishments in the area. Very disappointing. Would not recommend to friends in the area. Marstons need to come back down to reality.

My wife and myself have been coming here for sometime now. Lovely location and the ideal place to take guests or members of the family. The 30% offer is welcoming. I have also been able to use my defence discount card for a limited time which is also helpful. The staff are always friendly the service is good and the food is delicious 😋 We will be back 😋

Really enjoyed our visit here. Food was lovely, separate gluten free menu with separate fryers which is great for coeliac like me. Our server Alex was brilliant and went above and beyond to ensure we had a good experience.

Lunch today for 4 - friendly staff & good service but unfortunately the food was disappointing!! From the lunch special menu the steak ( ordered as medium/ rare ) was very chewy & overdone , & barely warm. The fish Goujons did not contain much fish! However, sausage & mash & tikka masala were good. Desserts were tasty but coffee was very weak & served with custard cream biscuits ( a first for us!!) On the whole not good value.

Love coming here, staff are always friendly and helpful. Food is to die for. Always rave about the ferrers to friends and family. Can’t wait to come around Christmas time!

It is a lovely venue - the decor is warm and cosy which matches the space. It was absolutely throwing it down with rain when we arrived so to walk into a lovely, friendly venue and be welcomed was a delight. The food was excellent in terms of quality and presentation and was brought to the table with perfect timing to allow us to relax between courses. The front of house staff were attentive and engaging and tolerated my terrible jokes. "Zesty lemon tart madam" "how dare you Sir, you have only just met her!!" All in all, it was a great way to while away a Saturday night when a storm is raging outside. My thanks to all the staff - front of house and kitchen & bar - you did yourselves proud!!

The staff are brilliant, so friendly and attentive. The food is delicious, you need to try the pork belly burger, it is to die for! We come here regularly and cannot recommend it enough! You will also not get better service anywhere else!

Really helpful serving staff and the kitchen were able to accommodate our request for altering one of the standard dishes we ordered (the special fish dish wasn't available, so they used the ingredients for the special with the seabass instead). The 30% off vouchers meant the meals were great value too

Seated without booking. Lovely pub grub just what needed. Guinness tasted a little off. Could be pipes or just not poured correctly.

Booked a table for 5 for Sunday lunch. Ordered drinks, then tried to order 3 Turkey roasts ( including a child’s) no Turkey no beef left?? Didn’t want pork. The other two meals were fish -special of the day Cod and pan fried sea bass. Manageress came to tell us that they had no fish either. We expressed our disappointment but she couldn’t care less and said they only order so many? It was 3pm and they advertise Sunday lunches all day. There was no apology and still took the money for the drinks we left at table. Disgusting service, no customer care at all and needless to say we will be returning:(

Aug 24: I went for Wednesday pie day and had a chicken and mushroom pie. Very nice and well cooked (although they forgot the carrots and I didn't notice until we got home). Otherwise, all good and great service. June 24: A good menu selection that was well presented and tasted great. Service was excellent and brought out quickly. Plenty of outdoor seating. Easy and convenient parking at the front of the pub.

Great place, beautiful surroundings and on a good day, lovely to sit out. Nicely kept Pedigree and decent wines. Lots of character indoors, and staff were excellent. A decent menu, with food that's not exactly cordon bleu, but is good enough to keep us as visitors...

The Ferrers never disappoints! Food is always excellent, staff are extremely welcoming and helpful and we always leave happy. Pub itself is very cosy and ideal for families. Highly recommend!

As a couple we visited twice in a week for lunch. First time we used the 30% off voucher. Menu had good choices and food was fine. 2nd time it resembled a creche. Staff seemed disinterested, with one holding a baby whilst trying to use the till - we left and ate elsewhere. I think you have to take your chances at lunchtime.

Visited at 5.30pm Sunday 8th Sept. I would love to leave a lovely review however I am totally underwhelmed by my experience here today. On arrival we was told no carvery left, another table told no rib eye. I ordered homemade chicken skewers. At over £16 for this meal I expect to be stuffed. Well 4 pieces of chicken on some sort of bread and a couple of veggies didnt quite fill me up. Shame as may have returned. We paid the bill. Not once were we asked, is everything ok? Also at the till, a lady took our payment with no conversation or ask if everything ok? I would have told you of my disappointment there and then. 🙄😥

Went there yesterday - Sunday lunchtime - was quite quiet when we arrived but quite a lot of people soon arrived. Plenty of space still both inside and out and still a few spare car park spaces. Staff were great and so was the food - maybe a little overpriced though compared to a few of the local pubs. I had a signature burger which was good but wasn’t that large. My wife had a kebab and opted to have a second one from the menu. The second one was just over £4. £16 for the 1 kebab was hard to justify with what you got in our opinion and the friends we met there felt the same. Unlikely to go there again. Cricketts Inn gets my vote everyday in that area

Not much interaction from the team as it was mostly self service from ordering food and drinks. But staff was all lovely when asked for few condiments and food was very lovely.

Very average chain style pub. Sunday dinner was just preprepared, warmed up dinner. The tables and floor were dirty. It's OK for a very quick bite but there are better places in the area.

Went to The Ferrers today for lunch with my husband and Mother in Law. Lovely chilled atmosphere as always and we were made to feel welcome by Katie who explained how to order off the app. Food was excellent and portion size was spot on! Compliments to the chef! We were served by Katie, Adele and Leo who were all very attentive and provided an excellent service. Thank you everyone 😊

The food is nice here but the service is very slow. We were waiting a long time for someone to take our drink order. When I looked over at the bar there were two staff there talking and one of them was drinking. Nobody seemed to notice when we had finished each course. We would not have minded so much if it was busy. The pies looked nice and I had the chicken from the specials board which was lovely.

Really lovely first visit to ferrers arms. Stephanie was attentive but gave us space to enjoy our meal and drinks. Could not have asked for more. Thank you.

An all round lovely experience as we came as a family to celebrate my birthday. The table was set with a birthday banner, candle and even more surprisingly - a birthday card! A very nice touch and it certainly made me feel special so thank you :o)

My friend treated me to Lunch at the for my birthday. The whole experience was amazing. Welcoming, friendly staff and excellent food. The kindness and attention of our servers Leo and Katie, added an extra warmth to our afternoon. Thank you to everyone involved, and we will be back again.

Great pub with good quality food and drink

Mediocre food. Unexceptional service. Beautiful location. Fabulous interior. Great menu. Why 3 stars? My main meal was served with two missing ingredients. Cold pre-frozen beans had been added instead, but they weren't cooked 'in'. My partners fish was dried out, but the quinoa base was tasty although lacking juicyness. I think the kitchen staff lack keenness. They are barely doing a reasonable job. The waiting staff haven't been well trained and seem unsupported. All the negatives here are down to poor restaurant management. The pub's management are struggling to keep standards high enough to match the great menu and interior. Shame really.

Pretty average family pub. Food was the standard out of a packet re-heated stuff you seem to get everywhere, it was mostly inoffensive apart from the haloumi which was stone cold and rubbery. Nice garden area and the inside of the pub was clean and tidy, looks recently refurbished. Good range of beers and ciders. Friendly staff.

Called in without a booking in the hope they had a free table. Although it was busy, they managed to accommodate us. We received a warm, friendly welcome, and were very well looked after by Katie. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent too, with a good choice of gluten free options.

Come here often and it’s always spot on! Staff are always friendly and can’t do enough for you even if they’re rushed off their feet, and food is always well presented and tastes amazing. Never too expensive either!

We dropped in to The Ferrers Arms without booking ahead and were seated immediately, which was much appreciated. The staff were all friendly and polite and provided a good level of service. The food choice was extensive and what we ordered arrived quickly and was lovely :) We don't get the chance to visit here that often but whenever we do the same high standards have always been experienced.

Beware!!!! Drinks are extortionate prices. I had a medium glass of red wine nearly £9.00 a glass. Husband paid nearly £17 for a burger and macdonalds fries. Might as well of gone to the Golden Arches!!!

Never had a bed experience at The Ferrers and today was no different. Food and staff, excellent as always. Highly recommend

Really lovely Sunday Lunch. A lot of parking and a very scenic location. Been again since for a 3 course meal and can absolutely recommend that too. I can see this being a firm favourite.

the outside of the building urgently needs a lot of love. inside every single surface is sticky after years of minimum wage spray and wipe without any sense of ownership. the staff were holding that fine line between being there because they need the money and quitting out of despair and boredom. we visited at 7:30 on a tuesday evening. the kitchen closes at 8 so we were asked to rush order which is ok except many items we chose were unavailable… the food arrived worryingly quickly. short order reheating according to the laminated instructions. we had burgers and halloumi kebab. kebab pita was even heated. kebab was just onions and halloumi. fries were good to be fair. but even with a discount voucher we paid £18 each for a pint and a main. at these quality standards, just not good value. sorry but won’t be returning

Booked a meal for my friend’s 40th birthday. It was lovely to see a happy birthday banner on the table when we arrived! Service was friendly and efficient, the food was delicious and the mocktails were amazing. Will definitely be returning with the family. The play area looked great fun and I was impressed dogs are allowed too. Very nice pub x

Called in for lunch yesterday, extensive Marstons menu, good food and friendly staff.

Having received a voucher in the post we decided to visit for tea. When ordering the food we were told they didn't have what we ordered, we chose a replacement but they didn't have that. I asked the young lady at the bar to let me know what they did have, she proceeded to go through a list of half the menu they didn't have. I asked to speak to the manager who didn't really seem interested.

This was our first visit to the Ferrers Arms Ashby. We were greeted and seated with a smile, served quickly and the food was delicious. The staff were all very polite and readily available as and when needed. Fay was super helpful, thank you
