Outrageously good food! Such a welcoming, lovely pub that serves gastronomic treats at amazing value! Every dish that came was beautifully presented and just as delicious! Highly recommend a visit here!

We were lucky that the restaurant were able to accommodate us post Gold Cup day. The food is lovely- we both had the mushroom gnocchi. The decor and ambience is stunning and I’d definitely come again when I’m in the area.

Booked in for Sunday lunch as staying locally. Found this wonderful pub after a little research and of course checking out their reviews on Tripadvisor. The food lived up to and beyond expectations along with super welcome and service. Highly recommend. 5⭐️

We arrived at this pub at 11am as an adult family (we are a handful at the best of times!) as we wanted to watch the Six Nations Super Saturday (3 matches)…. We stayed 8 hours! Staff couldn’t do enough for us! We drank, drank then drank again and ate EVERYTHING! The Chateaubriand is the best I’ve EVER eaten! Absolutely exquisite! A gentleman called Marco from Ellenborough recommended it and it was a fabulous tip off! Utterly delicious food. The server we had (who used to work at The York & Albany in London) was so very lovely - thank you for making us so welcome and catering to our every whim!! I also want to extend thanks to the lovely female manager. Staff and other pub punters were all really friendly. Doing a great job as an establishment and you’re top notch at hospitality. THANK YOU!

Often go with friends for Sunday Lunch - the roast beef and yorkshires and all the veg is awesome - followed normally by sticky toffee pudding. We go out for lunch every 2 weeks and still keep coming back here

This once tired old pub has undergone a total transformation in recent years and now provides an extensive high quality menu to suit all tastes. Service is efficient and booking online is easy. Staff were very helpful in making sure that my elderly parents could have a convenient table and they were happy to accommodate our large group’s needs. Food was delicious (especially the soufflés) but portions are very small and some of our party remained a bit hungry. Prices are fairly high but the quality justified this.

Enjoyed a late Sunday lunch. The Sunday roast just gets better and better. Service was first class. What a lovely way to spend an afternoon away from the cooking and washing up. Would highly recommend.

Seven of us celebrated my birthday! main courses and deserts all very good indeed and every single plate and dish was clear! What more can I say, - we all thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks. Will certainly return v. soon.

Excellent Sunday roast today we throughly enjoyed roast beef. It was all so well cooked, and really tasty with a rich gravey. The service was also excellent with well trained courteous staff. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. The place was very clean too. I can recommend. I have been many times abs never disappointed.

We signed up to the 50% off mains deal. We advised the initial member of staff who took us to our table that we had signed up to the deal .At no time did any server point out deal had to have 2 courses.( THE FLYER POSTED THROUGH OUR DOOR DID NOT MENTION 2 COURSES TO BE ELIGIBLE.) They were quick to tell the diner next to us that Steak wasn't part of the deal. After our meal was cleared away , we waited for an unacceptable time to be offered a Dessert menu ( not my job to go and search one out ) Not forthcoming , so we decided to leave. After receiving the bill ( food definitely not value for money at the full price ) we reluctantly paid , and cancelled a reservation for next week. ( I believe that to be eligible 2 courses purchased should have been on the Flyer.

We visited the King’s Arms for lunch on their offer on main courses. Food was rather better than we expected, good service, it was very quiet so not sure how that would be on a busy evening. Regular prices would probably be higher than we’d usual pay, so the offer was the pull for us. Happy to recommend.

Excellent food and service. I liked the way they put us, as a couple, in a separate place to family’s with young children. The pub has a cosy feel and has just the right smell of an open fire. Timings were great and they offered additional gravy and vegetables with our Sunday roast without being asked. The price is on the high side but totally worth it for the quality, service and experience. We will be back!
