Stopped in to have a pint. They were out of a couple of the beers. There were dirty glasses on some of the tables. We were told they would come over and clean the table, but they never did.

Firstly I’d like to say that I like this pub. However, the fish and chips are terrible. The fish is mainly overcooked batter with less fish than your average fish finger. We sent the first two back but the replacements were only marginally better as they were not so overcooked. Should have learnt my lesson from a previous similar experience as I gave them a second which is clearly not deserved. If you can’t cook a decent fish in batter you need a different chef and a better supplier. Please supply an email address so that I can contact you as per your suggestion in your reply.

Actually a nice pub. And with the typical pub rules you should know. Order for everyone at the bar and pay immediately. Of course, you pay a 12.5% service charge (tip) for a ... well, self-service? The food is average and our room was cold so I had to keep my jacket on while eating. I ordered a hot tea instead of a normal drink as a heater so I had somewhere to keep warm.

Very friendly staff, delicious “steak and ale pie”. Something went wrong with the preparation of our pie, we were informed 3 times about the delay, each time with extensive apologies, and, as a compensation, a glass of wine for free. Did I mention the pie was delicious? Atmosphere/decor could be a little better, but could also have been due to the time of day (Friday afternoon 2-3 o'clock)

Okay bar and floor staff were nice and pub is in good location but would really refrain from having food here again. Two steak sandwiches took 50-60 mins to arrive. Steak came Luke warm with such basic bread and the chips came out 5 mins later evidently forgotten about. Really disappointing considering the wealth of choices of pubs we had in Greenwich.

The Kings Arms is a traditional British pub located in the heart of Greenwich, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere. On a rainy Saturday, it provided a welcome respite from the weather outside. The pub boasts a wide selection of beers, wines, and spirits, including some local options. The food menu looked appetizing, with classic pub dishes like fish and chips, burgers, and pies. While the atmosphere and drinks were certainly appealing, the bar service was a bit slow, perhaps due to the busy weekend crowd. Despite this, the staff was friendly and helpful when taking orders. Overall, the Kings Arms is a cozy spot to enjoy a pint and some traditional pub fare, but visitors should be prepared for a potential wait at the bar.

Awful experience for Sunday lunch. A pub that has such great potential it's a shame to see it clearly under poor management. To start, there were four of us and they seated us on a two seater table with 4 chairs squeezed around it. After complaining we got seated at a much bigger table. Self service is fine, but when there is a long queue and only one lady serving whilst the other male member of staff appears to be " checking stock " in the mini fridge is very frustrating. Additionally the food is AWFUL! Overcooked, stale, and not worth the outrageous prices. Avoid.

Great little establishment this. Bartender Gem had great chat, poured a decent pint n all. A little attentiveness goes a long way. Had a little chat with one of the chefs from the kitchen. Stumpy bloke named Rocco. Didn’t really seem like he knew what was going on but he whipped up a class burger. Overall a pretty solid experience for what it is. Don’t let the establishment rule the roost.

Been to this place 3 times, unfortunately. The most rude staff you can ever find, do not go here if you want a nice evening, plenty better places around. First time we went here, we got shouted at for breaking a glass and staff having to sweep it - we didn’t break it, it was left by previous guests. Second time, we were with a dog. It is a ‘dog friendly’ place. Next time we went to grab a pint from the bar we heard the staff talking between themselves how nasty our dog is and how they hate people coming here with dogs. (We confronted them about it and their attitude was more than dismissive). Least you could have done is to apologise. Third time, they sold us beer from the bar. When we came to grab a second pint, we were declined due to not having an ID. We are over 30. You already sold us pints😂 IDs of other customers were not checked. To the bearded guy who is probably the manager - find yourself another job, hospitality is not meant to torment girls on your power trip.

Great pub which was a jewel in the very busy and competitive area of London. Loads of eateries and pubs and this place was a quiet oasis not far from the gate to Greenwich park. We found a small table in the courtyard area at the rear of the pub, where we had shade and a comfortable seat. Plenty of people eating and drinking, families, friends and couples. It appears popular and the menu covers all the usual pub fare, burgers, fish and chips, toasties, salads etc. We didn't eat there, but a lot of people were eating and the food and portions looked good. You are able to book the booths at the rear of the courtyard. Table service of food seemed to be available, order at the bar. If we were in the area again we would definitely return.

We’ve been going to this place for 7 years since we moved to Greenwich and it used to be our favourite. We would even take our friends here telling them “it’s the place to try fish and chips guys” but yesterday we were so disappointed with our food😣 I came there to have their usually fantastic tasty and golden soft fish but instead I got dark brown stone crusty something that clearly didn’t identify as fish anymore and was absolutely inedible (you can see it my photo - it’s actually all the “fish” after i broke the crust , I couldn’t eat it). I don’t know why I didn’t complain to the staff or didn’t ask for a replacement food, probably because I was too tired to start that) I hope it was a one time situation and whoever cooked that “fish” yesterday will never do it again.

My dad recommended this gem after having food in here a couple of weeks ago. When I came up to London to visit him, he took us in here... I was intrigued as when I googled it - it said it was a well-known chain pub. These pubs mostly serve ping and ding food so I was pleasantly surprised and happy that the menu at The Kings Arms was much more classy than those particular chain pubs round my way! The staff were helpful and friendly as soon as we walked in. I wanted to sit in the garden and most tables were taken except the big booths at the end - which were covered in plates and glasses... They came and cleared one of them so we could sit there. Then the garden started to clear and we ended up changing tables about three times, but they were so accommodating! The food was delicious! We all had the steak pie and over-ordered on the sides but had eyes bigger than bellies! The portions were huge! The staff were so lovely and brought more gravy :) When the garden all lit up at night it was so pretty! I didn't want to leave! A really lovely afternoon and evening. Thank you so much!

The drinks were fine the fish and chips awful. The fish was hard and dry the meals were cold. It was hot and we wanted to go somewhere with an outside space - wow! What a lovely little pub in the centre of Greenwich. The beer garden is really pretty with strung festoon lights and lots of seating and quite intimate, but not cramped. Think 'Secret Garden' vibes. The only downside with outdoor spaces is that not everyone is a smoker and we were sat eating next to a table of smokers who clearly did not consider anyone other than themselves - including my two children. The entire footprint should be no-smoking if food is being offered. The pub is immaculately clean - spotless - and beautifully decorated. Enough theme but not gimmicky. There were two front of house staff on - Maclaren and Jana and the chef, Taylor. It was quite a busy late Sunday afternoon. They had clearly been rushed off their feet all day and yet we were greeted with big smiles and a warm welcome, as was everyone else that came in behind me. Maclaren was also very pregnant and yet she zipped about confidently offering the best customer service I have experienced in a very long time. She is a star employee and great ambassador for the brand. The food was slow coming because only one chef was on, but we were warned of this BEFORE we ordered so it was our decision to stay put. And so glad we did. The food was excellent value and Taylor did a great job on their own in the kitchen. I forgot to mention they are super doggy friendly. All in all, our new favourite little gem in the centre of Greenwich.
