Good food at very reasonable and affordable prices. 👌 We tried the beef and chicken Sunday roasts as well as crispy squid and fish. Everything was tasty and well served. It was very crowded when we visited, which caused some delay in the service. I would definitely recommend the place.

After a whole day of traveling from Paris to London and around the pier we decided to stop by this place (AS PER THE OWNER’s RECOMANDATION IN THE DESCRIPTION OF THE ESTABLISHMENT) for dinner around 8pm, well before the kitchen is closing. We were made aware the kids need to leave by 9 which was no issue. The light in the place is very dim which helps with the atmosphere but not with reading the menu*. After we looked for what we want, I went to order for the whole family (mom, dad and 2 girls) and we were told one item is not available. No issue. Let’s move forward with what’s available and we’ll figure it out. The order is placed, drinks are poured and when I’m about to grab the drinks for the table, the fellow behind the bar tells me another item is not available because it’s after 7??? Huh??? A lady from behind the bar also confirms they can’t make it because “you know, it’s the menu and we can’t do anything about it”. On top of that, the fellow behind the bar had the nerve to ask me for the drinks money (£20) which we didn’t even touch. I payed him and left as I didn’t want to create a scene. I’m sure the food is great, the drinks are fantastic and everyone is amazing but for us that was the worst service we received while traveling between England and France. Absolutely not recommended.

We went for lunch on Easter Sunday - it was really busy but the team were super friendly and helped us find a free table. We ordered roasts and were told it might be a bit of a wait, but we didn't mind as the pub is so lovely with great views. Our roasts came faster than we thought so that was a bonus. The roasts were really good, the cauliflower cheese especially. My beef was tender and cooked perfectly and my partner's chicken was juicy and huge, so I'd like to thank the chef - totally spot on. Even though they were so busy everyone working was smiling and polite. I'll be going back for sure and bringing my friends along.

Went with my partner on Sunday for a roast, the best pub roast chicken I've had in a long time. Her beef looked great as well. We did have to wait a while for the food but they told us when we ordered and we didn't mind waiting. The pub was totally packed but the people serving were all working hard and helpful. We're going back as soon as we can for another roast, highly recommend.

Unfortunately, our visit was spoiled by the service of the pub. We reserved a table on Easter Sunday for roast and football for 3pm. We were then told for 1.5h that the kitchen is not accepting food orders. When it was finally possible to order (at 4.30pm), no real option were left. We initially wanted a nut roast or vegan burger and had to settle for mediocre fries and nuggets. We would expect the pub to organise such high demand period much better (football and bank holiday) or at least find some workarounds or better communication to customers. Shame as the venue is really cute and prime located.

Fabulous dog friendly pub with really friendly staff. Went on 11/03/2024 and was greated by a very warm welcome by a young lady, lovely and chatty. Had some perfectly cooked steak with amazing views of the river. Another girl came to clear our table and was so nice to our dog Stanley, she also has a dog called Stanley! When we left, both girls were so happy to talk to us, a nice change as normally don't get that. Can't wait to pop in again!

Made the mistake of ordering food during our second visit. Poor quality, cold and worst pub food we've ever had. Do not eat here Update : yes, we reached out to the waitress who re-microwaved our nachos. However the quality of food pretty low! The table next to us also made a complaint re food quality and how cold the food was. This is our second time eating and both times have been a disappointment.

1. Was asked to pay a deposit for mother’s day lunch. That’s fine. 2. Booked far in advance and requested a windows seat. Was given a seat with barely any light at all. Not ideal. Was told they had all the seats booked by the windows, but we definitely saw place we could have sat for the duration of our meal. 3. Was told only after trying to order that all the light lunch items and a number of the main items were not available. 4. Attitude of the lady behind the bar was dismissive. But a shining light was the serving staff who were lovely. I’d have thought if they knew it would be busy enough to require a deposit, they’d have been able to get half their stock in. This place might be good for locals who want a pint while they watch the game, but I won’t ever rely on them to accommodate an occasion again.

Cute pub with great views! Now the food… (please see photos) My friend warned me not to get food but I was starving so ordered three small plates for £16, I waited for an hour before I eventually went up and asked the barmaid if my food was ready yet. She discovered it in the tube shoot and gave it to me, I was so hangry that I couldn’t argue or point out her lacklustre ways. The sweet potato dish was £5.95 alone 😂 I didn’t even bother touching it and cannot believe the chef wasn’t embarrassed bringing that out to me.

First mistake was ordering food. 3 main courses and a shared starter - nothing too complex. Waited an hour and twenty minutes to be served two main meals and the shared starter at the same time to which we communicated that we wanted these separate when ordered, to which our moody full of attitude waiter offered “do you want me to take them back then” to which we said no. As he went to retrieve what we thought the last of our 3 main meals he then returned empty handed and instead to question “have you touched the mains yet as they actually aren’t yours” even though I had eaten a few chips (Lol) he then took my plate away and delivered this to another table 🤣?! 15 minutes later we asked the moody waiter if our food was ever coming and he said yes. It eventually turned up. His stroppy, entitled attitude made us feel like a pain in the arse and inconvenience, if he’d had a name tag I’d title this review with it quoted to warn everyone else but I can only describe him as a useless waste of space who sighed at the task of being asked if we could have some ketchup? Feels a sad review to write as we like this pub a lot and have been coming here for years but literally get a grip. Being rude and moody to loyal customers wont get you anywhere. We will be going elsewhere next time in Greenwich

I had driven up from the Surrey Hills where we are spoilt with different views but really my local pubs could take a leaf out of this one. I made a point of asking who the girls were so that I could highlight the service that I received. So at 59 I’ve been to a few pubs in my time but this one is made special by the time and effort that Abbey and Leah put in, thank you both and will definitely return. Happy Christmas 🎄

Out of all of the pubs in Greenwich that you could go to, this is by far the best one. If you want genuine people with really lovely service, come to this pub. Leah and Abbey are great people doing a great job in this pub. No one else in this area actually cares about the customers and just sees you as a body. These girls take the time to get to know you and will work really hard to make sure you have a good time. The pub itself is a real gem. Much better than the tourist trap Trafalgar next door. Great views but that is about it. There was only 1 roast dinner left at 2:30 on a Sunday!! We were all looking forward to having one! We then chose other options to eat and my boyfriend was sent back to the table FOUR times since they were out of everything we fancied!! The food we were able to get (halloumi, nachos, cod bites, chicken bites, and honey roasted sausages) was really disappointing! The sausages were tough and hard to even bite! All of the food was cold (even the cheese on the nachos) and the chicken gave us an upset stomach. The roast was bland and lacked seasoning. The halloumi was soft and unlike any other halloumi I've ever had (not in a good way) Such a disappointment! I'd like someone to contact me on this issue if possible.

Unfortunately everything except the fries was freezing cold when it came to the table. I am guessing the steak was done first and left on the side. It tasted very good so it was very upsetting that it wasn’t warm when it was served. Across the water is Canary Wharf - great views of London from here. The pub itself has good drinks and nice staff. They showed the football followed by the rugby when I was last there. Friendly place. They also let a friend bring his bike in as he didn't have a lock - you don't get that everywhere! It is also very dog-friendly and makes for a welcoming experiencing. We ate some of the bar snacks which varied from sausages to chicken wings - all tasty and delivered to the table quickly. Easy to get to on the DLR (alight at Cutty Sark). Leaving there we were able to get Lime bikes which made it pretty swift to get home.

Wow!! Had such a lovely time here at the The Yacht, Greenwich!! Me and my boyfriend stopped off here last Wednesday during a rainy afternoon and purchased two portions of salted chips and a cheesy garlic bread. We then helped ourselves to the available tap water. With the help of student discount it came to £8.36!! Which was well below our lunch budget, and allowed us to spend the rest of our money in the lovely market near by. I’ve lived in Greenwich my whole life but this was the first time I had ever visited The Yacht. Unfortunately the food did take a while to arrive, despite how little we ordered, but we understood that it was due to the lack of staff and only one chef. Which is completely understandable:) The atmosphere was wonderful for us, it was very quiet and calm, which is something I loved, but wasn’t expecting. recommended we walk past the Trafalgar to go here instead. so glad we did, great staff, lovely place and fantastic food. wifes fish and chips was ginormous, and my 3 plates of mix and match were all very nice and more than enough, the Japanese chicken bites were especially good. and they had the ashes cricket on tv as well. do yourself a favour - skip the bunting of the Trafalgar and go here instead, nicer - better and cheaper. thanks all

Went today with Otik (my border collie). Bloke behind the bar got water for her without even being asked! Decent ale and the food was great and reasonably priced also. Great views. More real than touristy. 5 stars 👍

When we arrived our table was full of water and very sticky and our menus had sauce on them, we waited almost an hour for 2 dinners and when it come out the gravy was lumpy on top but watery at the bottom, Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes well over cooked only good thing on my plate was the cauliflower cheese and chicken, me and my partner will not be eating here again.

Great place if the weather is sunny but there's a pesky breeze. Beautiful river views. I've never eaten here but I'm sure the food would be okay. Good place to watch footy or rugby. Always feels more like locals than than daytrippers. No outside space but of course it's next door to the famous Trafalgar Tavern which was my local for many years. I feel quite sad to see how things have changed over the last 20 years. The Yacht is definitely worth a stop off. Then have a cheeky one in the Cutty Sark pub further on. It's become a bit expensive but the vista is wonderful. Then you must go to Enderby House which is a beautifully restored historic building that is now a Youngs pub. Lots of outside space. If I recall correctly Enderby ran a business creating and installing undersea cables across to America about a hundred years ago so it enabled us to send telegrams across the Pond. Beautiful space. Lots of lovely individual rooms plus a terrace.

Terrible service. We ordered a simple sharing platter of hummus and flat bread and after waiting almost an hour decided to leave without eating at all. I don’t understand how such a simple dish can take so long to prepare. The floor was dirty with spilled beer and the tables sticky.

Food took 40 mins for just a few small plates. Larger was flat, tried two different ones due to the food taking so long and both the same. Probably due to the glass washing.

We was in here on Sunday waiting to watch football like we always do, but on this occasion we had a totally different experience. The bar supervisor on this day was a young dark haired man, he was asked if football was on purely because the signs outside said they were showing the coronation concert, he was so rude and aggressive, and replied by shouting at two young ladies who asked him the question. His behaviour was disgusting and completely unacceptable. He continued to shout in a packed pub and finished by screaming F-off. He then slammed empty glasses on the bar and stormed in to a side room and slammed the door like a petulant child. The whole pub witnessed this and was honestly stunned! It’s a shame that such a lovely pub would employ someone as rude and aggressive as this individual. As a regular, I know this isn’t the first time he has demonstrated such behaviour, unless management take action, this kind of behaviour will unfortunately tarnish the reputation of this lovely pub.

Visited on a Sunday, beautiful view over the Thames. Food beat our expectations as they were running a reduced menu we were a little cautious. The pulled mushroom bean chilli was gorgeous. Along with the squid being cooked perfectly. Would 100% choose here to eat if in Greenwich again.
