Yacht in Greenwich

A nice pub,a bit pricey but, it's in Greenwich so, touristy.

Amazing river view. Average food. Terrible customer service. The restaurant has amazing river views with a row of tables right next to the window overseeing the river, which looks amazing especially during evening when the sun is setting. The atmosphere and the views are honestly top notch. The food was average. I ordered a cheese burger with bacon and some fries. The meat beef patty used in the burger is really low quality, with inedible bits in the burger (small soft bones). The patty is minced too finely and tastes too low quality. It may be the cheapest patty from the supermarket, or potentially a frozen and overcooked one. The fries and the sauce was great that came with the burger. Pricing is great for food too. The customer service is terrible. The staff is inattentive and unfriendly. First off, we had some spills on the table because the table was not balanced properly. We asked the staff for some tissues to wipe the spills. The lady came over shortly after and started spraying disinfectant on the table essentially adding more water to the table! She wiped the table with too small of a wipe, pushing all of the liquid from the table onto our clothes! Anyway, a little later I was trying to get some tap water. There is a tap water dispenser available accross the restaurant. I accidentally passed through a staff only area, which did not look like a staff only area at all, nor was it labeled as such. There was a lady standing there who told me where to find the men's restroom. But I wasn't looking for men's restroom, I was looking for tap water! So I continued walking. The staff only area was literally 5 steps long so I didn't think much of it. Shortly after I realised it that it was a staff only area and on my way back I was planning to take the proper route to my table. Anyway, after I got some water and was heading back to my table the other lady started shouting at me across the restaurant for going through there!?? I honestly felt like I committed a crime?? 😭 I clearly understood that I was not supposed to go there and I was taking a completely different route not even going back near that area. Why shout across the restaurant?? I honestly felt really humiliated and I would not go back there regardless of the food or the views.

Bland and overcooked food. Service was alright. Just quite underwhelming overall and will go elsewhere next time we’re in Greenwich

Staff work really hard but food not great ordered 7 roasts most Yorkshires were burnt and inedible meet tough some potatoes raw won’t b retuning sadly I’d like to add the burnt Yorkshire was replaced with another burnt Yorkshire! we also had a very long wait & didn’t want to wait again but I appreciate your reply & understand it was a busy Sunday staff were run off their feet & yes I wish I had told staff at the time

Leah was the best! Stopped in for lunch when the pub next door was packed and so glad we did. Great food and wonderful service.

Really friendly staff and really tasty food. Dog friendly too with beautiful views of the Thames and the O2 arena. Would come come back again!

Throughly Recommended if you are visiting Greenwich. I had a wonderful experience at The Yacht, and a big part of that was thanks to India, the fantastic barmaid. From the moment I walked in, she was warm, welcoming, and incredibly friendly, making sure everyone felt at home. Her service was quick and efficient, and she had a great way of making customers feel valued. The pub itself has a lovely atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed drink or catching up with friends. With sports on the TV and a stunning sunset view over the River Thames, it’s a great spot to unwind. The prices were very reasonable, which was a pleasant surprise for such a well-located venue. If I could change one thing, it would be the lack of an outdoor area, as it would have been nice to enjoy the view outside. That said, the interior more than made up for it, and I’ll definitely be visiting again! If you're looking for a great pub with excellent service, a welcoming atmosphere, and a picturesque setting, The Yacht is a must-visit—especially if India is behind the bar!

Nice pub in a great location and not too busy. India on the bar was very helpful and knowledge of the beers, giving recommendations and advice.

Cailin was the best, so attentive, constantly checking in, pours the best points, so friendly, even bought me a free drink

Positive point: the setting is really nice facing the Thames. Negative point: we waited 20 minutes without anyone coming to take our order, so we left the restaurant and the waitress saw us without saying a word to us. She was chatting while customers were waiting. I advise you to do 500m more and you will do much better!

I came here for my son's birthday meal; the service was fast, the food was lovely, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this pub.

Came for Sunday lunch to be greeted with messy tables. Order drinks served completely wrong to be told rudely by the so called manager I had ordered wrong. Spent ten minutes arranging the right drinks. Off to a bad start, then the food was terrible, cold and served by just being dumped on the table. Ordered coffee with dinner to find out no alternatives to traditional milk. Atmosphere was only good because of the England rugby! Food not worth the money paid, even for London prices. Do not recommend!!

A fantastic pub that is sadly overshadowed by the Trafalgar next door! It's calm, with great service, food and drink, and brilliant views of the Thames. I will absolutely be coming again!

Its an amazing place to have some beer and food. Good quality, nice portions and compared to usual pub its better priced food. Reall happy about it. Beer is nice and original good taste. Happy to spend a nice evening here as my parents came to visit me in London. Really good👍 Keep it going

Very pleasant spot right on the river. Probably wouldn’t go back for the food but definitely would for a few drinks overlooking the river (assuming you’re lucky enough to get one of the prime seats)

We came by spontaniously and wanted to eat something but apparently you can only get something to eat if you book in advance? Apparently this establishment doesn't own a kitchen OR they order their food from somewhere else lol. So disappointed. Especially when they gave us drinks and THEN told us about how they cant serve us any food.

The yacht is a well-appointed, spacious yet cozy pub literally RIGHT on the River Thames with a gorgeous view of London's Canary Wharf skyline. The staff are just lovely as well. DEFINITELY check it out!

When hear for my friends birthday two young lady's were polite and friendly on the 14th at 8 o'clock I can't remember there names but they were very nice 👍

Lovely little gem tucked between the Trafalgar and The Cutty Sark pub. It's got great views of the River Thames too. The pub has big screens for football but also a restaurant space too. Imagine watching the football ⚽️ and view of the Thames ! A good range of beers and Sunday roast looked huge. Definitely book in advance for weekends to get the tables with the River view. Ola and Sam are great. Really attentive. Really friendly.

We discovered this slightly hidden pub and finally got to try it, it was such a lovely time. The Christmas decorations are an absolute treat, the atmosphere is fantastic, the staff is beyond lovely, and the food is very good - Greene King pubs very rarely disappoint. The nautical theme of the pub, the seating on the riverside, and the cozy feel makes this a go to spot in Greenwich.

Very expensive for a sandwich. £12.00 for fish sandwich, which was mainly batter. Place was empty and took over 45 mins to get lunch. No lounge service and staff very unfriendly. The toilets could do with a good clean and re-fit. The interior decor was lovely and cosy, say a fab location on a sunny day as right beside the Thames and great views of London. Would recommend for drinking, not for food.

We were heading to the Trafalgar Tavern which was rammed and loud so headed round the corner and happened on the Yacht. Lovely warm and comfy atmosphere. Good beer selection. We didn't eat but it looked good. Would definitely go there again

Quiet lunch on a Thursday. Food was decent & a varied selection but the shared plates as a starter & main course arrived at the same time(??). Pie & mash was hearty & filling. Plenty of seating overlooking the Thames. Good drink selection

It's an ok pub that doesn't seem to serve a beer that costs less than £7. We're not in Monaco.

A Greene King pub overlooking the river. It is quite large with some great views. They had three cask ales and one cider, I opted for an IPA at £6.10. Unlike IPA's from other breweries the Greene King one is not overpowered by hops. It was not busy at 2.15pm on a Friday. They do offer a food menu (I was here mid November and they had just introduced their Christmas menu. Lookout for their special "double up" offer on spirits e.g. single Jameson whisky at £6.40, a double at £9.40. In summary, another nice Greenwich pub.

Visitado para un almuerzo dominical, el lugar estaba muy ocupado ya que se estaban mostrando deportes, pero tenía un ambiente encantador de una mezcla entre las familias y los que miran el fútbol. Nos informaron que habría una espera para la comida que entendimos y apreciamos saber antes de ordenar. Se podía decir que tenían poco personal, pero el encantador equipo Ola y Olly eran increíbles! El servicio fue increíble, sin duda volveré.

Hoy fuimos en grupo a asar. 2 de los asados estaban fríos le dijimos al camarero que vendió ge estaba ocupado sacando otra comida. El tercer asado de la patata seguía congelado. Nos quejamos y nos dijeron que podíamos tomar una bebida o un pudín que no queríamos después de esperar 40 minutos para una cena fría. Pedí algo de dinero de vuelta y me dijeron que podríamos obtener un reembolso en una comida y básicamente compartirlo entre los tres. Después de gastar 15 . 95 en una comida fría. Nunca volvería aquí. Gastamos más de 100 libras entre todos nosotros...

No service, asked for a tip before we got the food. Got the roast and 2 meals were cold. My roast potatoes were frozen. Some of the order was missing. Told the server and done nothing other than say his got other orders to serve. Complained, the girl who helped done everything she could which was appreciated and was pit of her control. 1 meal out of 5 was only offered to refund. Won't be a returning customer

A pub where the strength lies in the magnificent aquatic atmosphere, with a beautiful view of the Thames, a decoration which is a bit different from what you can see elsewhere!

Yacht Greenwich is soo good. Best place to have weekend outing, great ambiance inside and out. I met Olle, the bar staff there.. he was really amazing with the service overall. Looking forward for more visits at Yacht.

Been here many times for the pub quiz on a Thursday evening, the staff are always very friendly and service is fast and food is great! Cailin in particular is outstanding, always up for a chat and is a great pub host, she is well attentive and spreads joy each time we come here!

Four of us had Club Sandwich. Not much chicken, four big dry slices of loaf. Had to use a lit of mayonnese. Three of us had a glass of white wine. Had to ask three!! time before we got sone water. Vert few guests, the waitress was most interested in her mobile phone. You have to do better or just close!

Zero star! We visited last Wednesday, ordered 2 flat whites and they came extremely hot and watery, absolutely undrinkable!!! We could hear the hissing sound of the steaming wand as she was making them and it sounded as if she was overheating the milk. It also took her ages to make them and the place was empty. We sent them back and asked for two espresso instead as clearly the person who made the coffee didn't have any coffee making skills and asking to remake them would have been pointless. She didn't even apologise or said a word, had a very blank expression. It's very disappointing to see unskilled and untrained staff and more importantly lacking in customer service skills. An additional observation: the server had very long and pointy blue nails which I found not appropriate for the type of business.

We wanted to spend a nice last evening of our holiday in a pub. We ate and drank very well. We were recommended a good fruity beer.👍 Coincidentally, there was also a quiz evening today, which we had a lot of fun with. Despite our limited knowledge of English, we were well received into the community 😉. Unfortunately we had to leave before the quiz was over otherwise we would have missed the train. Gorgeous view with very comfortable seating. Definitely recommend the cod goujon sandwich, or if you’re not a fan of fish, the vegan nuggets (I’m not vegan, they are just that good)

I came in as it was raining so decided to stop and get some food. I was recommended the squid and the karage chicken by Zoe and they were amazing! She had great knowledge of the menu and the drinks are nice too, i’ll definitely be back

I went in for the lunchtime £10 with a drink. The table I chose didn't have a lunchtime menu and I, incorrectly, assumed that it was part of the main menu. I ordered accordingly but made errors because of my incorrect assumption. However, Hazel was an absolute star, despite me being a real pain. The cod coujons and pickled watermelon side salad were an excellent combo. Washed down with a coke, watching the river traffic go by. All for a tenner. Would I go back? Yes.

We came in here for dinner and we had a lovely view of Canary Wharf as the pub is based on the river Thames. A girl called Cailin served us our food which was 10/10- highly recommend the katsu chicken burger. Leah, who I believe is the assistant manager was also very lovely and greeted us with open arms ! Very much enjoyed the food and the drinks and not too expensive !!

Really you come here for the view across the river, but stick to pub favorites like fish and chips and you will be rewarded with a hearty meal. Deserts good too. Busy weekends so a weekday visit advised.

Popped in on a sunny day of walking along by the Thames for a spot of lunch. We were early so it was a lot quieter than The Trafalgar next door and we were able to get a table with a view over the water to watch the boats passing to and fro. I had the set lunch menu £10 for a steak sandwich with salad and a cold drink while my husband opted for fish and chips with garden peas from the main menu. You had to order and pay at the bar but everything was brought to our table for us including extra glasses and a carafe of water. Both meals were very tasty and good value for the Greenwich area. As we ate our meal, the pub gradually began to fill up so there was more of a sociable atmosphere. I would definitely recommend seeking this place out over the pricier options nearby.

Booked a table to watch the England Vs Switzerland game as we were visiting Greenwich at the time. Did not disappoint! It didn’t feel overly busy but still a good atmosphere. Clear view of several screens. We had food which was lovely and came out quickly.

Beautiful place next to the Thames with great views

Walking on the Thames Path & came across the Yacht pub. Nice location, and if you are lucky to get a window seat, some lovely views across the river. Bar prices are a little high (Guinness & medium wine £14.10). Food was tasty, although the meat in the pie was sparse (lots of tasty gravy). The scampi was good portion and tasty. Cost just over £26. One barmaid was very smiley, the other not so approachable. Only real negative was coffee machine had been turned off by 21.15. Overall a good experience, would use again.

Looking for a non crowded fairly priced lunch option we came upon the Yacht Greenwich. Located right on the river down a little lane the view was superb. We were made very welcome by Lean, the menu was varied and the special lunch menu offers excellent value. I highly recommend this pub when you’re visiting Greenwich.

Had a very disappointing roast chicken Sunday lunch. The chicken was so dry and impossible to eat that I left it all. Vegetables were minimalist and underwhelming. Management were disinterested when we told them. Will not be visiting again which is a shame because it is one of my favourite locations

Sunday Roast Chicken was lousy - dry and felt like it was all cooked the day before. The beer was good and the atmosphere was good. Just avoid the roast meals.

We visited for Sunday lunch with 2 friends and 2 children. We booked via the website. Upon arrival our table was up some stairs, which was a little difficult with the buggy but we managed (no offer of another table on seeing we had 2 small children). We went to order to be told there would be a 40 minute wait for food, which was surprising considering the place was nowhere near full. After ordering we asked about the high chair we’d requested and someone said they’d bring it. 15 mins later and no high chair, we went to ask again to be told there’s only one for the whole restaurant and it was in use. One?? Really? You can book online requesting multiple high chairs so they either need to update that function or, a better idea, nip out to ikea and buy some high chairs?? The food arrived an hour after we arrived, it was disappointing. The roast was tough and tepid, the kids sausages and chips looked pretty unappealing, the BBQ chicken looked like it had just survived a nuclear holocaust. All in all, disappointing. There are far better places in the vicinity, I wouldn’t recommend.

Great place to spend a Saturday afternoon. Dom was fab, offering similar recommendations based on our orders - both of which were spot on and went down a treat. Euros on every screen in the place, made it a fab atmosphere. Will be back, thanks team.

Very fast service and super tasty food. The view of the Thames is magnificent. Sights and subway station can be reached on foot in just a few minutes. There are good views of the Thames and there are also tables for larger groups. The prices are okay and there is a good selection of drinks. The toilets, on the other hand, should be avoided as they are not inviting and also not clean.

I went to the yacht pub Greenwich the food was very low standard I requested steak sandwich the bread was stale and the salad was limp I understand the manager of the pub prepared the food.definitely will not be returning.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. I walked out about 10 minutes ago & I am still completely shellshocked by my experience. I have never had such a horrific experience in a pub/restaurant/place of service in my entire life. The waitress had a face like a slapped *donkey* as she slammed our plates down, almost smashing my wine glass in the process. Food was absolutely vile, couldn’t eat it & got a refund on our way out. Avoid this place at all costs!

Had a drink at the yacht because of the football final of Real Madrid and DOR on. Service was good but packed with people.

Very nice river side pub in Greenwich. They were slammed due to the sudden rain and a bit understaffed for a bank holiday tbh. The resulting delay in service was a bit of a concern, but the boys fish and chips was very respectable.

£7.25 for a pint of the average commercial lager and £10.10 for a glass of wine, this is insane to say the least. Pubs in Fitzrovia are cheaper than this! Food is very much below the already low bar for pubs. As per the service, there’s still a long way to go.We ordered four mains and just by chance I found out that they ran out of some of the ingredients to make two of the burgers (onion rings).Given that the full price had been charged regardless, I asked if they could make up for that somehow, at which point we've been offered some extra chips like they were doing me a favour. Of course they cheaped out and they didn't add any extra chips to the dish. I asked the staff at the bar if I could use some hot water to heat up a baby bottle and I was told that they "didn't have hot water" (how can one even run a kitchen without hot water!?) but would ask the manager and let me know. Nobody let me know anything of course, they just couldn't be bothered.I later made the same request to one of the staff at the tables and they immediately accommodated my request. Plenty of other pubs around, don’t bother with this one.

We stopped by at 10pm on Sunday (bank holiday weekend) and were told in a somewhat brusque manner they were closed. Your website states a close of 10.30pm. It would be helpful to inform customers a little more politely and update the website!

Nice place for a coffee. You can sit by the window and look at the river. Fairly quiet compared to other pubs in the area. Decent prices

Good food at very reasonable and affordable prices. 👌 We tried the beef and chicken Sunday roasts as well as crispy squid and fish. Everything was tasty and well served. It was very crowded when we visited, which caused some delay in the service. I would definitely recommend the place.

After a whole day of traveling from Paris to London and around the pier we decided to stop by this place (AS PER THE OWNER’s RECOMANDATION IN THE DESCRIPTION OF THE ESTABLISHMENT) for dinner around 8pm, well before the kitchen is closing. We were made aware the kids need to leave by 9 which was no issue. The light in the place is very dim which helps with the atmosphere but not with reading the menu*. After we looked for what we want, I went to order for the whole family (mom, dad and 2 girls) and we were told one item is not available. No issue. Let’s move forward with what’s available and we’ll figure it out. The order is placed, drinks are poured and when I’m about to grab the drinks for the table, the fellow behind the bar tells me another item is not available because it’s after 7??? Huh??? A lady from behind the bar also confirms they can’t make it because “you know, it’s the menu and we can’t do anything about it”. On top of that, the fellow behind the bar had the nerve to ask me for the drinks money (£20) which we didn’t even touch. I payed him and left as I didn’t want to create a scene. I’m sure the food is great, the drinks are fantastic and everyone is amazing but for us that was the worst service we received while traveling between England and France. Absolutely not recommended.

We went for lunch on Easter Sunday - it was really busy but the team were super friendly and helped us find a free table. We ordered roasts and were told it might be a bit of a wait, but we didn't mind as the pub is so lovely with great views. Our roasts came faster than we thought so that was a bonus. The roasts were really good, the cauliflower cheese especially. My beef was tender and cooked perfectly and my partner's chicken was juicy and huge, so I'd like to thank the chef - totally spot on. Even though they were so busy everyone working was smiling and polite. I'll be going back for sure and bringing my friends along.
