Great Nuclear Sub nice staff much better than The Gate Clock or Pommelers Rest in terms of atmosphere, service and price. No Tourists or eggy security guards. Sometimes you might get an extra catapillar on your pizza as a bit of extra free protein from J. Hutson or Tim Martin but overall one of the best Whetherspoons in South London.

Came here for a quick drink before heading to the o2 and it was lovely reasonable drink prices. Decent amount of seating. Out drinks arrived in maybe 5 mins despite it being busy as was around 7pm. If I'm near here again will defo come again

Even though the pub was really busy the staff were doing a great job of keeping the tables clear and the service was really quick. The only problem was that the food, even though it was really nice, was not much more than warm when it came out. Probably could have done with a bit longer in the microwave.

Food was lovely,but tables hadn't been cleared...tables are copper so where they hadn't been polished properly black came off them onto our hands & clothes

Terrible experience. Spent 2 days. And 3rd day experienced false accusations by staff. When i asked for a manager. Lady in blond said there is no manager. Then i realized there are games being played with people. 1st day i filled my documents having a pint. Second day i had a date. Terrible experience. I am Christian and religious. Very evil experience. Amen †

Used the bar upstairs mid afternoon. Friendly barman and tables of people mostly Students enjoying their meals. Very comfortable atmosphere.

Atmosphere was good as usual, but food was not great i guess its all frozen so tasted like it.

Staff upstairs are unnecessary rude. They made mistakes on the table delivery and forced us to pay extra for their mistakes, even that they never said sorry or apologies.

You get exactly what you expect. Quick cheap drinks. Got a chance to watch some rugby too which was unexpected but the price of the drinks was the main reason we came. Can't fault it.

Nice and spacious Weatherspoon pub. Spent an hour there waiting for an event in nearby comedy club. There is extra space on first floor with bar as well, toilets are big but bit dirty. Guinness was ok but poured really fast, fish and chips was ok as well, liked chunky chips, fish was kinda bland thou, wasn't much flaky. Still can't complain much. Very good prices. Would visit again but it's completely not my area.

Always a good atmosphere in this pub..pub is usually busy so plenty of chat and laughter to be heard..

Ok weatherspoons, good location ,food and staff all good

Ordered food here, and it took quite a while to arrive. When asked where it was, it the member of staff returned with our food saying "not sure how long it's been there?"... it was dry, so for a while. It is spoons though, so there's an element of you get what you pay for. Toilets are convenient from the DLR at least.

The manager is rude and ignorant I asked him for he's name as I wished to log a complaint against him, he told me he's name was Luke Skywalked.

Ordered food but a 'glitch' means the order wasn't initially placed. After the issue was cleared up, the breakfast arrived and was very nice. Very friendly staff.

Every time I order food there, it's very delicious and fresh. Big portions and quick service. They only take cash, which can be a bit problematic when customers are not having it on them.

Good Real Ale Pub in Central Greenwich.

I have been using this watering hole for a good few years now, it's always busy, because round the corner is a major tourist attraction " The Cutty Sark ". Also the National Maritime Museum & the Royal Observatory are a short walk away, loads of history of Greenwich here.

Lovely experience. Ryan provided the greatest service. So lovely and helpful. Thanks to Ryan our trip was spectacular. Give this man a raise !!!

Ok. Instead of making an insta dedicated to spoons I'm leaving reviews. One of the only southern spoons that sells poached eggs of a breakfast. Did used to have salmon. I miss it. It's near the river, could have been nearer. long waits for service and always cold heat wise. It's on the lower end of spoons been to.

i came here yesterday with my friend and her dad i had odered the batterd cod and chips with mushy peas my mushy peas were cold and the cod was mainly all batter tinest piece of fish i’ve seen my mate order nachos which comes with cheese there was hardly any cheese and the cheese is meant to be melted i definitely will not be coming back absolutely bollox

Jeevan was such a gentleman he went out of his way to get me a blood sugar meter as mine was broken. Big thanks to him and the team for brilliant customer service

It was very busy so we expected that finding a table might take time. We had to go upstairs, quite a few tables hadn't been cleaned so we asked for the one we chose to be cleaned. It didn't happen so we moved everything off onto another dirty table. Only one person behind the bar but as I say it was very busy.

Worst service. black lady treated us like we are having free beers. this one star is just for that lady. We were waiting but she didn’t attend us she was serving other people, when we got to tills she was very rude.

I stopped by for half a cider a few weeks before Christmas it wasn’t very busy and I sat outside which was pleasant I didn’t buy anything to eat so I can’t comment on the food, but overall I enjoyed my time there! Service was very good 👍

You want food and beer at half the price of other Greenwich pubs, well this is your spot! Basic scoff and cheap good ale, what's not to like.

I had a round of delicious fish and chips - a size to keep everyone full... perfect for me to taste before choosing beer... Well visited place and I understand why..... Fast and efficient runner who quickly got served and continuously cleared the table 4 start atmosphere, cause of a noisy/snarling kid (maybe they should go home)

1 person serving at the bar, no vodka on a Friday night, this is the worst whetherspoons I've ever visited.

Although the beer is god and much cheaper than other local pubs the food I ordered had human hair contaminating the fries, bar staff apologised and offered a free dessert but this offer was declined as I wanted nothing else from the kitchen.

Didn't clean our glasses up. Food was cold. Drinks ordered on the app sat on the bar for half an hour whilst we were looking at them waiting for someone to bring them over. Staff useless and unprofessional :)

I recently visited this bar and had a very nice experience food and drink very good. At affordable prices. I sat on the upper floor which has a separate bar. I would definitely return to the gate clock.

Had the nastiest meal here it ruined my evening. There isn’t enough outside space. And then it’s just Wetherspoons…

Can't argue with £2.70 to £3 a pint these days for good quality, well kept real ales like Abbots and Landlord. Good atmosphere, polite bar staff, outside seating area. Food too though I didn't try it but again looked like very reasonable prices and good portions.

Nice place for a quick pint with some food,which comes fast and hot, the prices are very good so if do not expect Michelin I'm recommend.

Been to this Wetherspoons a lot of times, and it's a fantastic one in the heart of Greenwich. Conveniently located & the service is normally quite decent. The atmosphere on weekends is highly questionable, security on weekends can be quite intimidating but apart from that I highly recommend eating in here.

So visiting this Wetherspoons on begging of Freshers Week is Biggg No No, lack of staff little disaster to busy for untrained staff served my self with drinks who we order online, however it was affordable so will forget soon.

My first visit there in a number of years. Staff were friendly enough went there with a friend. Bar prices were fair enough. My friend had the fish & chips which she polished off may go again if in the area.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience when visiting. Gary and Phil where very professional and so kind and friendly. I will definitely be visiting again. Such a great atmosphere with a genuine “customers comes first attitude” to the business.

Spoons located right by the DLR station and central in Greenwich. Nothing exceptional but reasonable as Wetherspoons go. Cheap and cheerful certainly the order of the day!

I like this place in the days and evenings. The beer has more to select from and is affordable. I like it in the daytime and Mad Monday for cheaper beer. Hate it on Friday and Saturday nights with too many rules and confusion about family and children. The door staff need to treat people with more respect and dignity. This makes it a place to avoid at night. Come on, Wetherspoons make improvements there and to the food menu.

Service was good but the chicken BBQ pizza I ordered was very small compared with other Wetherspoons!!

Very dark in there. Food was lovely. Service not to good. Staff not really bothered about customes, manager arguing with a customer in the middle of the pub right next to our table so no one could hear each other speak , staff dropping plates and breaking them. No menus on table and tables not cleared

An ignorant rotund bar manager who ignored us and slowly served us without saying please or Thank you. A shabby bar area with a dirty floor and sticky tables. This place seems worn out and certainly no attention to detail. It's like nobody cares. We were going to eat but decided to go elsewhere. Atleast the beer is reasonably priced. As a shareholder I was disappointed. I suggest management do a secret spot check here.

There was a cocktail menu on our table, but once we ordered one at the bar, they said they don't make ANY cocktails. The ladies restroom smelled strange, not a gross smell per se, but still a bit concerning. The food was fine, the fries were surprisingly soft, which I personally enjoyed. The strangest thing for me was the seedy looking carpet — why would someone put that in a pub? Aren't drinks and food often spilled there? Don't people walk around on it with their dirty shoes? Frankly not a very appetizing sight. I know that for many the appeal of Wetherspoons is to drink beer with your friends at an establishment that all can afford, and granted that is very much achievable here. If you're looking to treat yourself however, I'd recommend another inviting looking door on this busy street.

Just really poor, staff couldn't pour a pint of ale or look after it as we found after drinking a couple of pints. Uninspiring ale choice too, in most 'spoons you have 5 or so ales that are on all the time and 5 or 6 ones that change. Not here just 5 ales on 2 sets of pumps.

Without a shadow of a doubt this is the dirtiest pub with the worst service in the group. I challenge anyone to find one of these places worse than this, they forgot to order chips, they run out of components of dinner (serve what ever is left) stand in the corner and chat with a bar full of people stood waiting the place is filthy the bar swimming in liquid no one clears tables you stick to the floor. Tim Martin you must be so proud!!!!!

I was with my friend at the bar on September 4. We waited a long time at the bar then other people came and they were served before despite drawing the barmaids attention to this. She then looked ready to serve another customer who came after us. The only thing I could notice was me and my friend were taller than anyone else at the bar and not white. We called the manager who was dismissive of our complaints and seemed intent on provoking a fight despite being a short effete man. I was hoping they would look at the video evidence, they never did. The blonde barmaid is an utter racist.

Fantastic, food, people, prices great, go again you bet. I loved it, people moan about wetherspoons have a word it's cheaper than all the jumped up pricy places you go to stop moAning it is what it is, don't like it don't go
