Costa Coffe in Greenwich

If possible consider this review as 0 star. This my first posting negative review. Even don’t want to but I want to share my experience to all. I was so tired after my night shift so I thought to get some coffee I went 10 mins early than opening time ( as Saturday it’s 7 am, I don’t know that). Anyway, the staff saw me and she was totally ignoring and want me to go away. I understand it’s not opening time but you can tell me ryt. I’m not getting coffee for free so don’t show attitude. I was knocking the door so that she will notice me but she didn’t. I work same field but I don’t do this. I respect our customers and I try my best so that they happy with service. Well, that’s it. I got coffee from near Nero and the staff is great and kind. Also, the mocha too.

Convenient location just outside the O2 and a 5 minute walk from the tube station. Visited a few times over a week and my order was consistently correct and the service was excellent.

Abysmal service. Came in to this branch yesterday to use my Vodafone Veryme voucher and for some reason once the QR code scanned a message appeared on the till stating my card had failed and to contact customer service. The Barista behind the till was abrasive, curt and didn’t appear to want to help in any way. When I came back to make a second attempt she was even more hostile and accusatory. As a local resident I should have known better and decided to go to Coffee Couch round the corner.

They don't handle high volumes very well, which they should expect at a venue like the O2. The baristas stood and watched while the queue built up and the team on the till ended up running around, taking orders, heating and plating food, clearing up. All the while, the baristas did nothing as orders dried up while the till team did everything else.

So I come here basically all the time as I’m always in the area and I’m always served amazingly especially by a beautiful Asian woman and this very kind gentleman with a beard. However today a woman with black hair slicked back was extremely rude. When I asked for something to be toasted she started at me like I was incompetent. She didn’t smile at all but looked at me like I shouldn’t even be there. Everyone else is kind but this one woman needs an attitude adjustment. Working in customer service is stressful but being kind goes a long way.

Typical costa, visited during an afternoon Rush however the staff was still nice and efficient. The Bakewell tart is very underwhelming and the Christmas drinks selection this year is okay but nothing special. The Black Forest hot chocolate is very oversweetened.

Ross was absolutely lovely! Forgot to ask for oat milk and he kindly remade the whole drink after it was already made. Great Service and great hot chocolate :)

Mara and Ellie or as I coined them “the antler girls” are absolute superstars! Super kind and friendly. Incredible customer service. They’re so funny if you’re having a bad day, have a chat and I can guarantee you’ll feel uplifted right after! Go antler girls :)

I always buy coffee or Tea When ever I come to watch a film at O2 Greenwich. I never had this bad experience. Just now I have asked one of the staff called Sandhya to make a Latte she made something different I’ve never seen in my life. I’ve clearly seen making her b’se there is no other customer standing. I kindly request Costa Coffee to train the people before they serve the customers. I believe Costa is one of leading coffee sellers in UK. I hope costa will take of it’s reputation.

I asked if it's possible to charge my mobile here and the answer was "No"

Wow what a wonderful service today from Joshua - not had service like this before in a costa thank you for starting our day of nicely. Lovely drinks too.

Very dirty place with lazy waiters. Waitress (I think Alice or Alessia) said to us if you wish to have clean/cleared table bins are there, do it yourself + she didn't want to say her name. Toilet never open, don't understand why. We have coffee here but also in many other Costa's but other places are nice, especially Costa in O2. Hope you'll improve customer service, cleanliness and toilets asap otherwise we'll report you.

The service in this store is the slowest and one of the staff (Ellie) is one of the rudest person I have come across in any Costa, My friend went in to the toilet which happened to be out of order, when I told her he just went for tissue the blantent eye roll I got and then started ranting in her language about me which I happen to understand, she needs a course in customer service.

Amazing service I believe the barista was called Elie she was very helpful and helped us when we had trouble with our card. She is an asset to the team and it was lovely to receive some friendly service after a long day

The staff was really nice and helpful. As I am from Germany I was quite happy that they didn't rush me and gave some advice when I ordered.

In London costa is the espresso to me is the most similar italian espresso

There is no WiFi in this costa, there’s plenty of tables with plugs but I came in here to work and had to tether to my phones 5G. I queried with staff who said they don’t have WiFi. Toilets weren’t very clean. Coffee was nice.

A nice hot chocolate, but wasn’t much in there, I did ask for a lot of cream, but I’ve previously been here and if you ask for cream they still only fill it half-full. I’m assuming this is the machines but could be the staff, it was no bigger than a medium, but it was in a full size cup as that’s what I paid for. Besides that the cream and marshmallows were nice.

I came across this in the 02 arena, and fancied something to eat and a drink before a concert. Plenty of seating, but none available I had to sit with some other customers. Friendly staff, food average like most costa's. Hot chocolate was nice. Close to the entrance I needed at the arena.

Staff didn't understand English and got order completely wrong, gave coffee instead of hot chocolate and forgot the treat completely. Very poor service received.

I changed the review score multiple time while writing this review, based on the circumstances. I had a bad experience today, I came specifically to Costa to order the returned Black Forest and the drink is was nothing as it appears to be on the latest online images for Christmas. 2022? I stated I wanted sim in and was served paper cups, in which we all know that the trimmings/ toppings would have really made this drink the worthwhile of visiting. I was annoyed at the fact that I asked a barista if the drink contained any of the syrups ontop of the drinks and spinkles, exactly how the picture is? They had stated that it all mixed in. It was then when I expressed my issues with a passing baristas after seeing other drinks in the store being served in glass/ ceramics with all the sprinkles/ toppings? The manager was apologetic, was kind, and respectful to the situation. However Costa, I used to live visiting your store for a festive drink & from working within the same industry, I feel the standards have slipped extremely.

Usual Costa offering but spotlessly clean with friendly staff and good range of food. Enjoyed the Black Forest hot chocolate now back in!

The staff is bad and racist. I asked for Ice Latte and staff told me its not available. I requested multiple times and they refused.Another English customer came and asked the same and the staff issued Ice Latte. My order time was around 7.55 pm 8 Oct 2022.

2 useless female members of staff serving behind the counter. Asked for 3 medium Americanos with milk, an Iced Latte, 1 Blueberry muffin, 1 Banana and Pecan loaf and 1 Caramel brownie. Cost £18 in total. The 3 Americanos came Black, had to go back and ask for the milk when we already ordered it. The girls in there carried on serving other customers and forgot to give us our cakes that we ordered, had to wait again for that. I asked the girl on the Coffee machine if the toilets were open and she referred me to the girl on the till, she said "no but outside the shop round the corner there's toilets" so I went outside the shop to have a look and there weren't any, came back inside wasn't impressed by the run around so asked if they could open the toilets the girl doing the Coffee just said "Wait" and then carried on serving other customers, very rude. Had to go back to the O2 Arena to find toilets, what's the point of having toilets inside your Costa shop if you're not going to allow customers to use them !!! Not impressed !!!! Then found out after we were over charged because we ordered 3 medium Americanos and got charged 3 large. Really not impressed by those girls in there, take your money and then not provide a decent service. Won't be coming back !!!!

Having bought a tuna melt the chap on the till helpfully said have a seat whilst I heat it up for you & I’ll call you once it’s ready. 10 minutes, later having not had his call, I asked where my lunch was - only to be told that someone had pinched it! As if this wasn’t disappointing enough it then seemed difficult for several staff members to decide how to address the situation - eventually a replacement melt was cooked up & brought to my table. Costa please help the staff & customers & use an order number system & those little metal card holders to place on the tables!

Forget you if you order whole milk then make you walk

This is my regular Costa by the Cutty Sark Greenwich I love the staff so friendly and helpful my fave is Flat white coffee single shot with Oat milk☕

Nice cafe near O2. Crowded as expected.

Just outside O2 Arena, and next to north greenwich station. A very big Costa outlet it is with lods of seating outside and inside. Being next to O2, this place is normally very crowded and sometimes with long queues, so not a great place for quick grab and eat.

The place is lovely, menu is good. But i sadly had a very bad experience with one staff member. After ordering with a lovely woman, i've been harrassed by a man possibly drunk who was preparing my order."Did you order ?" Me : "yes, i did" him, insisting "Are your sure ?" "Shame you didn't order with me" etc... , then he pretends to gave me my sandwich but took it back twice while laughing. So creepy and unprofessionnal... i wasn't smiling at all in front of his behaviour but he didn't seems aware at all about how creepy he was try to obviously flirt with a customer.

The man kicked us out from the toilet because we had a starbucks cup… I politely told him we were going to buy food afterwards and he replied saying we could go to the starbucks toilet (there is no toilet in starbucks). He closed the door on us and told us to leave. I understand the toilets are reserved for customers- but we had full intention of buying food yet he still would not let us do that. Completely rude and petty.

Ordered small cappucino for havn in. I got served literally below half of the cup☕️. And the blueberry muffins are always hard(even in the morning time) instead of soft and spongy.

Me and my husband had 2 caramel frappe from the store on 22/4/2022.after 30 minutes of having it I started to vomit.Felt so week.Am 23 weeks pregnant and generally well before.But after having the drink I totally become weak .Later at night. My husband started having diarrhoea.Both of us were not able to eat and drink anything after the drink.this is the first experience we are going through

The cafe is a bit hidden at the O2 Arena, we liked the cake and the coffee. The service was quick and friendly.

The staff are very rude, will not let you wash your hands in here! they don't seem to know what a paper 20 pound note looks like! I think they need to open their eyes to the world outside them and a little staff training is needed lol 😂

I work at the o2 getting a latte from costa I usually go Starbucks because every time I go into costa I have a bad experience with the staff they’re rude and disrespectful for no reason I come in with manners my please and thank you with a big smile on my face to pay for a coffee and came out with my whole day ruined. There is a gentleman and a women with red/purple brown hair and they’re very rude customers. Need staff trainer or ‘how to interact with other human beings’ forget any kind of “customer service” as that is non existent. If they’re aim was to send me to one of the other 3 coffee shops in the o2 they have succeeded brilliantly.

Very pleasant staff. They had an issue with the card reader but remained calm and dealt with it promptly, keeping any waiting customers informed. Young blonde Barista (sorry didn’t get catch your name!) took particular initiative to get orders from waiting customers to limit delay. Good team effort. 👍

Used to love Costa's oat flat white, but since they've switched to AdeZ it tastes horrible, weird and tastes too sweet in an artificial way, almond milk is even worse. Thanks for ruining my favourite drink Costa.

There is no focus on the customer whatsoever. The staff/Batistas talk amongst themselves and are too busy bantering with each other to listen to what the customer wants. The first time I went there, I wanted a drink that was a little extra hot. But the barista rushed it and didn't even make it the way I wanted...Luke warm. The second time I just wanted a normal latte and the milk was so hot and it burnt my mouth. Poor service. Something needs to be done!

I loved the coffee in such a large sized cup. Food was ok, regular. Unfortunately, the attention of staff was not good. I suggest this factor is improved.

This lady shouldn't ever be serving at costa, I a frequent customer and she is always in a bad mood, very rude. Hope she can find another way to live. Coffee was so hot, croissant old. The guy who made my coffee around 7.30 pm on 30/10/21 - that was the best coffee I have ever had from Costa. Spot on! What I did not like about that place is guy with brown hair on the till talking to the guy who was making coffees in such a rude way. You do not talk like that to your work colleagues and I don’t know who gave him a power to be this way. He was blaming the barista for making mistakes with the coffees but he was actually giving him the wrong informations. If I worked with him I would be so fed up as this is unprofessional and you can see a tense atmosphere there and I just feel sorry for barista guy cuz if that was me I would simply tell him to back off. Other than that the coffee was delicious.

Love a costa but this one was filthy dirty. Went round the corner to Coffee Couch instead (I have no links to them), much better

This is my local costa, and by far my favourite in the area. The location is great, highly convenient being right by the station and seconds away from the arena. The staff here are amazing! Always so friendly, and remember my order. My only complaint is that I have been served a couple of times recently by a new barista in training and haven’t been too impressed, as she can be quite blunt/rude. She also handed me a toastie but threw the napkins on top of it, meaning the cheese then had congealed napkin in it. Hopefully the times I’ve been served by her are just one offs.

I live for the salted caramel drink. A decent selection of food. Staff are great.

Nice place to charge a phone at 6 in the morning before going on a cable car

Drinks were ok but one of the doughnuts was wrongly labelled so when I ordered it I got the wrong one! Anyway, it was replaced with a cookie which was too sweet. Apart from that it was hard ordering because the coffee machinery can be quite loud.

Love the cortado (I take either with coconut milk or oat milk). The ambience of the O2 Costa is relaxing and peaceful. It has large spaces to sit outside which is a bonus during the summer time. Bring a book and enjoy the coffee. The staff are friendly too. I recommend trying the muffins in Costa. They are really moist and goes well with the coffee. The tuna melt is also one of my favourite.

NOT coronavirus safe!! The bloke making the coffees was taking all the lids, holding them in hand, no gloves of course, to write the order on them, and then rubbing them face-down on the counter. I asked him to give mine without the lid, or just with a new lid, he very flippantly said no and quickly snapped on the lid he was holding in his sweaty hand I get the must-serve-with-lid policy, genuinely, however in this day and age i think it's a bigger worry catching covid from his dirty hands and counter, both of which he rubbed the lid on generously, than burning myself drinking my not-too-hot flat white I didn't stay to talk with the manager or anything, as the place was anyways PACKED and there was no social distancing or anything, a table in the corner cordoned off that was it Threw away the coffee, of course

I like this branch. The tables are quite spaced apart, so there plenty of room for people walk through. Staff are nice and friendly. And it's a bonus that they have a public toilet.

Very quick service, three people taking orders and we waited no longer than 3 minutes for our drinks. The venue was busy but still places to sit. Its a bit chilli in the outside seats, the O2 is always cold in the winter though so expected. Could have done with a bit of a tidy up, to be honest, tables needed cleaning and rubbish bneeded clearing awya. But a decent coffee!

This was a nice Costa situated in a very nice location. I went there with my son and we saw they had a cake which was out of date but it was on offer for 2 for 1. I couldn’t resist so I purchased it. Little did I know that later that day, my son and I both had an upset stomach and we constantly went to the toilet. I was certain that it was from this little slice of cake. If the staff are reading this, please don’t serve out of date products to customers; you never know what will happen. The mocha I had was nice though.

Standard Costa (& Customer Service)

Visited yesterday before going in to see strictly come dancing. Shop was busy but not bursting but it was disappointing to see tables had not been cleaned. The cake selection was very poor with very limited choice. I appreciate it was probably busier than normal but they should have prepared for that knowing there was an event in the area.

Coffee is always great weather its a break from shopping in the O2 or just parking at station & tube through town.

Service not great. Staff forgot to get me a menu for 15 mins despite me being only customer in the shop, and refuse to help with reheating coffee (I drink slow).

We visited the Costa Coffee near to the O2 Arena whilst visiting the area, we had just arrived via the cable car and was looking for somewhere t get drink and a snack before continuing into central London. Located not far from the Arena, the coffee shop had outside seating but at the time of our visit (midweek lunchtime in December), we opted to take a table inside. We found the interior of the Costa clean, bright and welcoming and the staff that we came into contact with were helpful and friendly. The shop was relatively well patronised and during our visit we noticed a regular stream of customers either staying in or taking their orders out of the shop. Taking a table for two we enjoyed a Latte coffee and a ‘chocolate / orange’ muffin which was most enjoyable. Communal customer toilets (two cubicles), were located at the rear of the shop and these were well maintained and clean. We finished or drinks and muffins and refreshed, walked the short distance to the. ‘North Greenwich’ tube station (Jubilee Line), for a train to London.

Quick service tried the breakfast menu too.

I asked for a coffee not too hot it was completely cold and the barista even made faces because of my request, egg muffin was nice.
