Kingfish in Gosport

Fish barely warm Veggie food stone cold (having been cooked to order!) Chips nothing to write home about but not inedible Overpriced, cash only, there is an ATM close by but no facility for Apple Pay. Don’t waste your money.

Good fod clean place nice to be there and kids are enjoyed. The staff they are smiling yes we really enjoyed

Been going hear for years but won't be going anymore the owner/boss man is so rude and does deserve people CASH. Many other shops around that will appreciate my 38.00 pw or most likely cheaper.

Inedible !!! The worse chips ever tasted. Chips were inedible. Every chip nearly broke my teeth !! Think twice about buying chips here . Expensive and couldn’t eat. Both ends of each chip hard and brittle. Worse chips ever purchased .

Was not happy with the chips, all hard or rubbery, couldn’t bite into them. Probably warmed up from the day before. The guy behind the counter was a sleaze, he told me I could look after him, buy him lager, sometimes whiskey. I just ignored him. He looked me up and down a few times. I felt really uncomfortable and won’t be going back. Oh and the sausages inside the batter were completely white, no sign of any meat in them

Always good food but only taking cash in 2022 after a pandemic is a bit of a joke. It's not as if those portable card machines are expensive anymore . I will come back when you start taking card payments.

Had large cod and chips. The fish looked good when opened box. Fish was tough and chips were the worst I've had for a long time. Rock hard and tasted like ones that have been cooked and reheated more than once. Will not be using again unless I am proved standards are better.

A treat for us is to have fish and chips delivered. Kingfish has always been our first choice, but sadly have stopped delivering. A visitor suggested fish and chips from the shop they used when they lived here. I have to say I was disappointed with what they bought, not as good as Kingfish. Really disappointed with the decision to stop delivery. It may take us a while to find an equal alternative.

Walked in on spec, the food was freshly cooked and very good quality. Generous portions. I can recommend this as a plce for a good takeaway.

1st time of trying this place as it was highly recommended never have I ever met such a rude man who answered the phone I am surprised he can hold down a business with such an obnoxious arrogant attitude. My advice avoid this place

Wonderful cod and chips. Freshly cooked to order. My only suggestion would be to start serving huss.

We had our third delivery from Kingfish, always fresh and piping hot , obviously cooked to order, direct delivery, clearly not run around Gosport with other deliveries, just lovely.

Not a great start with litter everywhere and filthy frontage but 5 star cleanliness so I entered . The gentleman behind the counter was so rude to the young girl working with him, I was tempted to intervene Once recovered from her lambasting , she served me well but the chips had been sitting a while and were dry , the fish was just ok . I don’t think I’ll bother again

Politely asked when the small cod would be ready. Very curt response. No small only medium and large. OK...’ any small coming?’ Only medium & large! OK, I’ll leave it thanks. Time waster! Pardon? Time waster!! OK. Bye. Passed open rear door on way to car and saw filthy floors and dirty clothes strewn everywhere. Can’t comment on quality of food unfair not going back.

May take 15 minutes to get the fresh cooked food but very good food and they do seniors meals. Parking can be tight due to small access area with takeaway delivery cars.

Whenever we fancy fish and chips by the sea this is the best chip shop around. My other half likes it as they sell the all steak pies which you don’t get in many fish and chip shops, I went for the haddock which is always cooked fresh to order and always light crispy batter and the chips are always cooked to perfection. Can honestly say we have never had a bad meal from here.

I would say nearly the best in Gosport, good value for money, a very quick service and clean premises, and of course delicious cod what more can you ask for

Huge box of fish and chips ever l had the best Fish&Chips in Town l would say. Crispy and freshly cooked...will be my place of fish and chips to go again.

Last night I had Spring Roll (not small, next size up), prefer Chinese, Chip Shop Curry Sauce, not bad & good chips. Last time I tried the Whitebait, which I was impressed by, nice crispy, loads in a portion.Husband had small Cod Supper, which he enjoyed, but did say that is small! I did try a piece, cod lovely & fresh, batter light & crispy.Home Delivery - Minimum Order £10.00 + £1.50 Delivery Charge.

Very good chips my husband had king bites that he thoroughly enjoyed. Definitely a takeaway chip shop I would recommend

I tried the Whitebait, which I must admit was impressed by, there was loads of it, to much for one to be honest. Nice & crispy, will definitely have again. Chips were good too. Thinking about trying their calamari.

2 medium cod and chips delivered within 20 minutes (had been advised it could take up to 40). Still hot and the chips were exactly as they should be. Not our first delivery and probably not our last!

He estado usando el kingfish jamás desde que abrió sus puertas y ha mantenido las mejores patatas fritas que he probado nunca. El pescado es suculento y cocinados a la orden. Absolutamente todo lo que hacen es para morirse. El personal es muy amable. Sinceramente no pescado y patatas fritas de cualquier otro sitio en la ciudad. Si el kingfish está cerrado tengo china!

The staff are lovely, friendly and chirpy, the food is fresh clean and well proportioned, we go all the time, oh and they are affiliated with the kebab shop next door which is highly recommended for the same reasons.

Esta es la primera vez que probé este chips aunque mi marido tiene en el pasado. Tuve tarta y mi marido tenía dos salchichas maltratada, que eran enormes. Las patatas fritas eran un precioso golden brown, crujiente y muy sabrosa, que es lo que me gusta. Sin duda volveré de nuevo y espero que aún están al mismo nivel.

A good clean chippy with happy and polite staff. All food is cooked fresh to order and presented in good strong boxes that protect the the contents and keep them warm for the journey home. A good varied menu.

we've used this place several times and it has always been good.the sign of a good fish and chips is if the batter is of good quality,and at kingfish it is .the fish and chips served here are always pipping hot.the service is good.this is our favourite fish and chips take away

The food was lukewarm .I normal get it my self and it is always brill.I was very disappointed with the meal.

We fancied fish and chips but were not in a position to go out. I recalled that they might deliver, so called and ordered. 20 minutes later a cheery young lady brought our meal, still piping hot. The fish portions were in a separate container...

Never had a bad chippy tea from here, quick service and fresh food. Lots of extras available to order.

Had chips twice in the past three weeks, not nice and tasted like they were double cooked, sadly won't be returning even though it is our nearest chippy.

Kingfish is a good quality fish and chip shop. The batter on my cod was crispy and tasty and the chips well cooked. Worth a visit, as if the Kingkebab shop next door.

Very friendly staff, food cooked well, not greasy. fish cooked fresh, clean environment, couldn't ask more from a chippie. also try their kebab and pizzas next door, same standard and friendly staff again.

Visited a few times, fish with crispy batter, chips tasty too. Will visit in the future. You have King Kebab next door

Always fresh, You can ring your order in for collection, Staff very polite and helpful, Only thing is they don't take card payment, Luckily the Garage around the corner has a cash machine again so problem solved,

We usually have fish and chips each Friday afternoon from here.We used to find the fish and chip shop in Alverstoke really good but Kingfish has taken over now.

probably the best fish I,ve had (in gopsort)cod & chips more than 6 times , and everytime cod is fresh,chunky and lightly battered.£5 for small cod&chips its a bargain.I have never been disappointed with portion or quality of food here.
