King William Shepton Mallet in Mendip

I recently visited The King William Pub and was pleasantly surprised by the relaxed atmosphere. It wasn't too busy, making it easy to find a good spot to settle in. They've started offering food, which I haven't tried yet, but it's great to see them expanding their menu.

Simple and nice pub with a good atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and get to know their regulars and locals. Just an all round proper English pub.

Land Lady is spot on, and she has very proficient and courteous staff. Regular entertainment. Great mix of customers so far. Who could ask for more. Just a great Public House. 👍 😃 Jubbly.

Friendly pub with a good range of ciders, lagers and beers. All the 'sports' channels (4 large screen TVs) plus 'The Billy' hosts skittles, darts and pool teams playing in their local leagues. Live music can be enjoyed on Saturday nights. Worth a visit.

Its a old pub says it all really.

We was only in the town for one night, we visited a few places. This was by far the best and the busiest. A varied range of age groups. The outside area was remarkable.

20 odd years ago I popped in her for a drink waiting for my pals to come down from Scotland via Yorkshire en route to Glastonbury, charming man behind the counter served me proper English Ale, loved the accent, been trying to find it on Google Maps all this time! This is a nice traditional pub. Pool, skittles, conversation and now sports mean you can go here just to drink and meet up with like minded people.

Staff were definetly friendly, however it was difficult to tell over the din of football enthusiasts. The pub was quite small and literally full of people watching 4 separate wide-screen TV's with 4 separate footballing events. As a result, Strongbow and Carling was easy to acquire - if that's your sort of thing.

Lovely meal for valentines tonight couldn’t fault it !!!! Amazing,throughly recommend it. Great proper public house.
