Didn't have food, but nice glass of cider sat outside watching the world go by. Would definitely return!

Really nice pub (with a skittle alley) there's a lovely beer garden at the back. There's a great beers and cider and the food is excellent. I really recommend the ploughmans it's fantastic.

My Dad's local. They made me and my son feel so welcome. Thanks for all the ice cubes in the wine! See you next year

Great atmosphere, lovely pub. You can play bowling or pool. There’s a garden too. Family friendly. Yummy food. Helpful staff. Perfect location. Would definitely come back.

Proper pub, great beer/cider Great music, atmosphere

My partner and I came here 3 years ago and the food was amazing! We went here today and I can honestly say that it was such a disappointment. The eggs were rock solid, there was hardly any bacon and the chips were full of grease. No one came over to check if our food was ok, otherwise we would have mentioned something. We wouldn’t come back again.

Traditional pub with nice staff. The location is good that you can chill, hearing music from busker on the square. Not so many outdoor seat. Good luck.

Most excellent pub,we came back to Glastonbury just to come here. Nearly missed the vegan options - but glad we didn't as the lasagne was great. Amazing choice of ciders and out the back a game of skittles while you wait. Happy days

Nice pint of Butcombe - no frills just a good old fashioned pub with good pub food - v. reasonably priced - friendly staff - centrally located - great to sit outside at the front and watch the world go by - I would recommend

Traditional pub in the centre of Glastonbury! Amstel available on tap and amenities include a pool table, beer garden, skittle alley and darts. Cash is preferable at this pub, but they do take card too! Reasonable prices for beer as things go these days

Went here for afternoon lunch. Had the ploughman's lunch, it was lovely. We both had two mixed cheese and ham. 11.50 each. Single was £9.50. Nice friendly staff. Bill was £35.55 that included a bowl of chips and two alcoholic drink. Recommended.

Stinks. A sweaty local pub. Bar staff are super rude. Coke is flat. A real pit.

Went in for ice creams, which were excellent and good value for money. Service was friendly and it seemed like a really good traditional pub. Wished I'd been able to come back for the carvery and a pint as both looked excellent.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch whilst we visited Glastonbury. We had our two dogs with us and unfortunately one is a little lead reactive which can be stressful but we had to bring them as it takes 2 hours to get to Glastonbury and it wohlsn have been fair to leave them home for so long. The landlady was very kind and said we could take them through to the beer garden as she understood how difficult it can be with a perfectly friendly dog who can be a pain on the lead. We very much appreciated this as she could have just left is sat at the tables out front. We ordered lunch and we both had baguettes, hubby had the steak and stilton and I had the steak and onion. Both came with nice garnishes and both meals were delicious and very well priced. Lovely people and we will certainly eat there again (hopefully with a more calm dog!)

Bar staff so miserable and rude i said thank you got no your welcome which is fine but later came and took a chair from our table and i had to say excuse me but someone is sat there they had just gone to the ladies she turned around and said theres lots of other chairs so why didnt she take one of them instead of the one my sister was sat on definitely will not be going there again lots of other places that are 100% more friendlier and apparently this was the landlady 🤔 Benefit of the doubt this was our second visit just as rude both times #avoid

We walked in while passing as their food looked great, they had 2 large bookings due so we told to come back to see if they had anything left afterwards, we bought a pint and waited patiently to be told yes they could squeeze us in! Lovely food and very good service. Working over hot food on a very hot day is not an easy job, Well Done to the hard working staff!

I had lovely experience at this restaurant! Their roast carvery was absolutely fantastic, and what made it even better was the staff's exceptional service. Despite being fully booked, they went the extra mile to accommodate us. I was so impressed, we’ve already decided to make a reservation for the next visit. Additionally, we had the chance to swing by last night and catch a fantastic live band performance. It was the perfect complement to our dining experience.

Fantastic Carvery serve with good timing and friendly staff. Not nice hearing people call the landlady a fat cow though! And the barmaid isn’t a slug, she’s a beautiful butterfly!!

Had Sunday roast, arrived rather late but managed to get 2 more portion served, was plenty & nice. Been also back for the Sunday evening karaoke night, lots of happy panters. Staff friendly and helpful.

Great pub, does the best food in town and has some great bands on. Always a great spot to chill out if you're meeting friends and need a peaceful moment in the day.

Honestly very mixed feelings abt this place ,cool bowling alley n food but staff were so rude 💀💀 I was like 8 and was in the shop on the other side w my mum and she was having a convo w the person that run the shop on the other side and the manager and her daughter or sister idk decided to invite herself to it ,other staff were nice but managers shouldn’t b running nothing.

One of the best public houses in Glastonbury. Always a most enjoyable evening. Good music at the weekend and great staff.

The staff and atmosphere was lovely... the food was really delicious... the only reason I couldn't give 5 starts is simply it was very cold inside.... we did go on a February afternoon... but once I put my coat on it was fine, but not ideal eating lunch...I will definitely go back. They were all really helpful with directions as well. Thank you

First time here it seemed a very quiet pub . Lady behind the bar was friendly enough but didn't seem happy like she didn't want to be there . But hasn't couded my judgement and if I'm in the area again I will return 😊

Can’t rate the Sunday roast high enough!! Been living here for 15 years and decided to order 2 roast dinners to take away for our lunch for the first time. As we own a business in town too and never get the chance to have a Sunday roast, we decided to treat ourselves. Wow!!! It was heaven in a box. Finger licking good! We had some roast pork (with yummy cracking) and some beef with fully loaded trimmings and a huge Yorkshire pud with the best gravy to go over it all. We will definitely be making this a regular treat. Great, wholesome, freshly home cooked food. What more could you ask for on a freezing cold Sunday in January ❤️❤️

I found this pub while in Glastonbury visiting my brother in a care home. After going to a couple of other pubs, I tried the King William. So glad I did. Friendly staff really made me feel at home, drinks reasonably priced, a genuine welcome. I will most definately visit again next time I am in Glastonbury.

Incredibly rude staff - my friend and I were visiting Glastonbury for the day and wanted to try Knight’s fish and chips (famous chip shop in Glastonbury). Their restaurant closes at 1:30 so we got takeaway and sat on the outside tables at King William. As a courtesy, I went inside and bought two pints for us (which took about 5min to order but beside the point). No sooner had we sat down, one of the waitresses comes outside and aggressively announces that “we serve food too”, asking us to pretty much down our pints and leave. We did not, stayed until we’d finished (while she loudly complained to another customer about how ‘awful’ we were) and then left. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined this happening, particularly not in Glastonbury, a town about spirituality and love where literally everyone is super friendly. Needless to say it spoilt our appetite and left a bad impression on an otherwise great day - please think about your actions before you needlessly ruin someone’s day.

Good choice of ciders, friendly welcome and it has darts, a pool table and a skittle alley. Only downside was that the ladies toilets could smell better

Good pub, beer isn't ridiculously priced, and often has good live music on Saturday nights.

Had a steak pie and my partner a steak and Stilton baguette. Both were delicious.

Considering I waited for a small fry up. 1 sausage 1 egg 1 bacon beans mushrooms toast 1 extra IT WASNT HOT. WANT GO AGAIN

Had a lovely meal here after visiting the Abbey. Reasonably priced and a nice pint of Buttcombe's to boot. Host's were brilliant.

We booked for Sunday Carvery and WOW. You can keep your big chain carveries as they have nothing on King Billy's feast. Piping hot, beautifully plated. The meat was beautifully cooked,tender and succulent, vegetables to die for topped off with big jug of proper homemade gravy ( not a granule in sight) and light homemade yorkshires. Quality for money +++ and served by lovely friendly accommodating staff. We agreed this was the best Sunday dinner we have had away from home. King Billy's we salute you.

On a day trip from Wales called in for a meal was very good plenty of food and very tasty I had a baguette which was very nice and tasty the other people in my group all enjoyed their food as well all agreed it was worth the money we were told that there was a wait for food but all said it was worth waiting for and when we are in Glastonbury we know where to go for a good meal the bar man was very good 10 out of 10

Lovely crowd of people, the staff are all down to earth and kind. Pool table, darts and karaoke. What more do you want!

Had a great Saturday night watching live music, & chatting to friendly locals. Next time I visit I shall stay for the Sunday night when it's karaoke, apparently people dance on the tables. I look forward to coming back & rocking the King William Inn.

Had a wonferful roast here on Sunday 22nd May .....served immediately but had to wait awhile for the food as one of our party wanted a vegetarian breakfast which was cooked to order so we had to wait until her meal was ready but wasn't disappointed. Good portions,pork was delicious,very tender anf very reasonsbly priced and staff friendly. Will go again wben we visit Glastonbury.

First place we encountered the Blood Orange Cider. Popped back in on way back to the digs & it was heaving. Live band, great covers, .... spit & sawdust pub. Like picks in halesowen used to be (without the threat of a glass ashtray cracked over yer head.... more chilled & in Glastonbury

Nice Pub. Has cask ale reasonably kept. And also a skittle alley. Real fire in winter.

We popped in for a quick snack and drink when we're out shopping. We research quite quickly but we did have to wait over 30 minutes for the food and we did only order chips and onion rings. Which I will say very nice. Communication was rubbish. Not sure if we would return.

Walked in and was made to feel very unwelcome. As visitors to the town we always like to put money into local businesses but wish I'd saved my money. Had one drink and left. Much nicer places in the town.

Nice old pub used by locals and tourists alike. Serves food and allows dogs. As with most pubs the staff make it and the landlady/manager was very helpful and friendly.

July 3 2021, England Vs Ukraine. We were on Glastonbury for a long weekend and we called the King William to see if we needed to book to watch the big game. They said, we are not taking bookings, all first come first serve. We went for a meal and went there for 6.45, (match starts at 8). We were told all tables have been booked and no space available. Why say first come first serve then say sorry bookings only. I know where I won't be going again.

Fabulous takeaway lunch today from here. 7 x Roast dinners. Delicious food. Piping hot. Friendly service. 5 stars.

The lady who was serving was exceptionally rude, worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. Should not be in the customer service industry with an attitude like that. Highly unrecommended due to the service I received.

Great atmosphere in this pub, owners and staff are aways very friendly. They have worked really hard to keep both staff and customers safe in these difficult times. Always a lovely cold clean pint, and the food amazing. Well worth a visit.

All the usual COVID-safe protocols are in place and the pub feels clean and safe inside. Their Butcombe Bitter is lovely. We ordered Thai-style fishcakes from the specials menu and these were very spicy. The pub should market these as a coronavirus test - if you can't taste anything you must be testing positive!

The staff have a bad attitude. Service is terrible, and food is average. Do yourself a favour and avoid the King William Inn!

Terrible service and they're lucky I didn't get food poisoning! I do not recommend anyone with dark skin like me to enter this horrible pub.
