Rooms were clean but tired, wallpaper peeling off the walls. Staff very welcoming, service within hotel excellent. Location, central for the area, lots to see locally. It is next to a busy road, not too noisy tbf. Once window was closed we could hardly hear anything.

Hotel with performance enhancing pills in a vending machine in the men's toilet and condoms in the ladies' toilet. Parking lot looks like it's going to be demolished tomorrow

The hotel was part of a city trip we had booked. The hotel was very disappointing. Upon arrival we found out that apparently the first part of the hotel has been half demolished. Rooms are old and dated and make a dirty impression, shower cabin torn at the bottom, dirty towels, huge lump in the mattress (think the springs), extremely noisy (could hear the conversation of the room next to us word for word) only plus point: staff was extremely friendly

Went with an organisation that booked this hotel for us. Staff was friendly and did their best. Check in was quick. Good to know that there’s only one elevator so if there’s a big group, you’ll have to wait for a bit. Hotel has 2 floors and looks not so good. Needs a lot of touch ups. Room is pretty big, has a table and beds. Our room didn’t have a wall outlet next to our beds, which made charging our devices hard. The beds are very hard and the pillow is small and flat. The bed makes a lot of noise whenever you lay on it. It was sort of clean. Some parts where broken, for example the shower wall and the sink put. Bathroom did not really look clean and sometimes the new fresh towels came dirty too. Breakfast has a special way of doing it, you order with the waiters. Food came warm and fresh but the choices were limited. Dinner was an appetizer, main course and dessert. There where three options every day, which where ok. For a picky eater it was hard to find something to eat. We had to share tables with random people / hotel guests in the evening. These people were also traveling with the same bus as we did, but are complete strangers for us. Again, the staff works hard. There’s a lovely lady who we’ve seen almost every moment of the day, always nice and with a smile serving and helping people. Hotel could use a good renovation inside and outside.

Room was a bit warm but a fan provided helped to keep me cool, plenty of parking and I had a meal at the bar and that was spot on. The breakfast service was very good even though it was packed with a coach load of tourists.

Neat room.clean.bathroom too Only heating continuously on. The screw cap is not on. It was in all rooms 9 years ago, exactly the same. Food is good. Service in the restaurant is also good. Getting your own drinks in the bar is fine. Environment and location. For walking. Do not go to the town, it is not safe. Just go to the walking area. It is 5 minutes from the hotel across the street. Cross at the traffic light. They drive really fast.

I had to find a way to sleep with my 1.94 in a fantastic mini king-size bed of 140 cm wide and 190 cm long. That was somewhat successful. On balance, the room was quite spacious, but very old-fashioned. Evening dinner was okay. Soup was tasty, main menu reasonable and dessert could also have been better.

We love this hotel! Every time we visit Kent, we refuse to stay anywhere else but here. We always have a family room, which consists of a double bed in one room and three single beds in the adjoining room. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. The bathroom is a good size, and the showers have good water pressure. There is plenty of parking outside (just register your car at reception upon arrival). The breakfast is always delicious, nice thick bacon and sausages as part of the full English. There is also a continental breakfast as an option as well as cereal and toast. Help yourself drinks are there, including tea, coffee, orange juice, apple juice, and milk. For the evenings, there is a well stocked bar. We just ordered takeout food to the room. The staff don't have any problem with this. Nearby (5 min drive), there is an Asda superstore and an Asda fuel station. The hotel is also right next to Gillingham High Street. Bluewater shopping centre isn't too far away either. In conclusion, I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kent. * Check-in is from 3 pm

Very nice hotel. Nice clean rooms. Friendly staff. Location is fine, but if you're in a hurry to get back to the motorway. It takes a bit of time

The place and staff are nice, the beds are so uncomfortable this is the second time I have stayed and going the beds far too hard, could do with some good quality mattresses or mattress toppers

This really is a fun hotel. It's retro, has history and does what it does well. Driving to the hotel it doesn't look great but there is ample secure parking, and the reception is easy to access. Love the fish tanks and themed corridor to the restaurant. Room is old but clean and very spacious. Everything worked as it should. The staff were busy, bit efficient and polite. Dinner was great and the Sharpes Cider was spot on. I'd stay here again, just be aware it's a retro quirky kinda place.

Rooms were clean, food was good, staff friendly and helpful. A bit of overdue maintenance, but they are doing their best. The breakfast was also good, especially if you ordered food from the menu.

Food is okay however when placing order spoken to in a very rude manner asked man on the phone to give me a sec while I tried to sort out my card and then immediately cut the call as I was about to pay spoke to me with such attitude and a very unprofessional tone customer service is atrocious

Do not order from their website- called as our order was an hour late, to be told it was on its way - nothing! Called again just to be told that that website closed last week and they didn't have our order. Apparently the manager is going to call tomorrow to sort this out but that doesn't take away the fact we now have waited 2 hours for food for nothing! DO NOT ORDER OFF THE WEBSITE

Everything was fine apart from what was meant to be chicken curry, usually delicious but my husband wasn't sure what meat this was supposed to be? Looks rather disgusting !

I visited the Hungry Fox pub on the 25/10/24 with my family as I was visiting them in the local area. When I ordered my food & drinks I was served by a member of staff named Caroline who was very attentive, polite & courteous & made us feel very welcome. The pub has a lovely atmosphere & the food & drinks were nice. When I am next in the area I will be visiting the Hungry Fox again.
