Omg this place is a treasure we fell across while visiting Tintagel, literally the food is insanely good, home cooked and served up by two of the friendliest people ever (Jordan is invaluable don’t ever loose her and the other lady had brown hair and I think helped with the cooking). Honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough - my husband had the mixed grill that was amazing!!!

We recently stayed in Tintagel Cornwall for along weekend, we stopped in the King Arthurs arms for refreshments, service was quick and polite and there was a nice atmosphere. As we sat in the sun we noticed the food looked great so decided to try it out. Great decision the food was fantastic served piping hot and very quickly, we both had the steak and ale pie 🥧 simply delicious and more than most will be able to eat. We ate here all 3 nights of our stay and enjoyed every meal there. Would recommend it if your near by you won't be disappointed.

Me and my partner have just come back from a long weekend in Cornwall, based in Tintagel, sightseeing and travelling about. The first night we called into the King Arthur's for a meal and a couple of pints. A lovely large pub with a great selection of beers and lagers, and really friendly staff. Our meals were superb, none of your normal microwaved rubbish you get in so many pubs these days. So good in fact, we went back on Saturday and Sunday night. So between us, 6 different meals, all home cooked, and all really, really good! If you're ever in Tintagel, do yourself a favour and visit this place, wish we had a pub as good as this in my town!

Went here for a Saturday night meal on bank holiday weekend. It was busy with a buzzing atmosphere. The staff were having a very busy day on a sunny bank holiday weekend but were still smiling and friendly. We had typical “pub grub” meals which were freshly prepared, hot and we all enjoyed. Loads of choice of beers, ales and cider on taps too. Our young adults enjoyed the pool table for a bit of entertainment.

I come to Tintagel at least once a year and King Arthur's Arms never let's us down. The food is delicious, with a varied menu, something for even the fussiest eaters. The staff here are always buzzing about making sure that everyone is looked after. Particular thanks to Beth who looked after us and had a good chat, even if she did explain the game with the golf tees, which frustrated us no end!! We will back back both later this week and later this year when we come back to the area.

The food is just what you need on a windy day in Tintagel. Good portions, good food. Have been before, and I will be here again. Friendly staff, dog friendly. The kids' menu is simple but keeps them happy. Loads of choice of drinks. Cream teas, pasties. All good

I went here for a meal I had the steak pie which was absolutely beautiful you won't walk away hungry as the meals are large portions definitely ready for another visit the staff are fabulous and very friendly

Quite possibly the best place to eat and drink in Tintagel. Having tried other pubs in Tintagel only to be disappointed by their lack lustre performance, incredibly poor accessibility and drab menu, we opted to try the King Arthur instead, we left asking why we hadn't done it before! From the second you walk in, the atmosphere of a traditional family friendly pub, with their extremely friendly and helpful staff, excellent facilities and amazing menu. Price wise they are on a par with other establishments in the area, but the quality can be seen in the whole experience and in the flavours of the food. We will definitely be returning with this our now go-to place in Tintagel. Other pubs are available, but be careful as they won't beat this one.

Fantastic atmosphere, good food, variety for GF

Had food on a Sunday evening. Food was decent and there were even a couple of specials on the board which is good for a Sunday evening in March. Quite busy but plenty of tables. Service was great. Recommended.

Enjoyed a two night stay at this lovely inn. The room was a good size and very comfortable. The bathroom was surprisingly large. We enjoyed the food. The breakfast and dinner was lovely. Staff were courteous and helpful. We certainly look forward to visiting in the near future.

Ordered drinks and some food to our table. Waited half an hour and we went up to ask on this. No apology or resolve we were told I forgot to take for this. I've stayed on buisness 3 times. Not again after the lack of resolve. Avoid!

A great place to stay. We were there for two nights and were so pleased we chose it. Our room was clean, comfy and spacious, as was the bathroom. Breakfast was great and also our evening meal. Well located for local sights and walking distance from the castle. We'd definitely stay here again and wouldn't hesitate in recommending to others. So lovely to stay somewhere that is well run and independent.

Wife booked pub for dinner, pub was very busy and table was saved for us, food was excellent, service was good and staff good too, best pub food I have had for a long while

Lovely food and very friendly staff

We were staying locally at Camelot castle and fancied a pub meal. So we booked a table for meals and drinks here on the friday at 6pm. We arrived at the pub around 4.30pm and were able to be seated at our table early. We had some nice Rock pink gin for drinks and then ordered our food. We went for the gammon and bacon burger mains and a brie starter. All was great quality, decent portions and served swiftly after ordering. The atmosphere was nice, the place had a nice vibe to it. It was so good we returned the next morning for two full English breakfasts and they didn't disappoint! Would deffo recommend to anyone and next time we stay Tintagel we may even try and book a room here.

Had a lovely walk over from Boscastle to Tintagel and finished with a lovely pint and snacks. Lovely beer garden and service was fab!

This was our first wkend away in our new motorhome I telephoned prior to visiting Tintagel The Kings Arms for an evening meal, because My wife had an accident and broke her arms she found it difficult to eat. I asked if the chef could cut her meal up before bringing it to her so she could eat it without asking me to for her. Which he did. Everyone was very accommodating to our needs. We will definitely be visiting again .

Was in the area when this pub caught my eye, proppa old and cool! Had a full English breakfast here and it did not disappoint, lovely place and staff were lovely too!

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, warming real fire. Cold Guinness, hot food cooked freshly with a generous portion. Happy to return and eat here again. Also have accomodation with facilities for disabled visitors with mobility needs.

Nice pub, food was all good, great music, nice big tables, toilets spotless, friendly service staff, quick service, went twice while we were in Tintagel. Only down side would have loved a salad as main meal.

Lovely friendly staff. Nice rooms… Good food. Only downfall the noise, but it is a pub… Only issue we had was the banging door as we were right above and it was constant.

In the area and 5 of us had dinner here. No problems 1st time. Booked again staff not as obliging and the pork chop was not available. Chose fisherman's basket and asked for salad instead of peas. This could only happen if we bought a super salad! Food ok on arrival but small fish portions. Disappointed on 2nd visit so there will not be a 3rd time. Most privately owned places are much more accommodating. Hence only a 3.

Every year we come in October for an event in the village. We stay 2 nights in our camper and 2 nights in a wheelchair accessible room. The staff are warm and welcoming, it is spotlessly clean in the pub and the accommodation. The breakfast stokes us up for the day and keeps us going until dinner. The food is brilliant and the fish pie special when available is one of the best. Nothing not to like about this fabulous place.

We came here several times during our stay in Tintagel and each time no matter if it was breakfast, lunch or dinner the food and service was perfect. The price of the food is well worth it for the portion size you get. Staff are very welcoming and helpful especially the young lady who serves at the bar (with brown hair) was very friendly and lovely to talk to. This pub is a must when in Tintagel and it will not let you down! Best pub 👌

It's many years since I stayed but had a great, but eventful stay. I forget which room I stayed in but when I got into bed bed the duvet to my amazement started to move down the bed! I firmly shouted " will you stop it" and it stopped. I asked the landlord about it the next day and he confirmed that occasionally" things like this happen" the next night I waited for it to happen again but no second performance........ I was quite disappointed . Any one else had this happen? John

We were here in the pub, I can't say anything about the hotel. I liked the atmosphere and service. Breakfast is available until 11:45. The food is not bad, the full English breakfast is good, but the pancakes were not tasty, rough. Coffee from the machine, also of average quality. But good interior and location.

Didn't stay in a room. Food was the best I have tasted in a long time. I had steak pie best ever. Pub has outside seating and a smoke area.

Bar man had no manners like he was doing me a favour serving me.then stopped serving me half way through order to serve a local.no sorry for wait and no thankyou when I paid.ignorant brocoli head.

We had dinner at this hotel and the dishes we chose were delicious. The meat is delicious and expertly seasoned. Excellent service.

Great beer and food; a VERY welcome break/beer after an incredibly hot day at Tintagel Castle. Sat outside overlooking the old post office (great views!). Thanks to the staff for a nice relaxing lunch and beer.

Great room: separate annex with two bedrooms, well decorated. Food was great: cooked lovely . Only downfall was service ; understaffed, check in to reception was covered by bar staff in the pub. When served in the pub later it seemed like residents were no better than a stranger coming in for pint .

Authentic inn, delicious food, rooms more comfortable than expected. Opposite the footpath to the church with a historic cemetery and a view of the King Arthur "castle" - be sure to visit the church and then enjoy the view of the plateau.

Ideal Hotel to visit the Legend of King Arthur. The Inn serves nice food, with a lovely service. Walking distance from the scenery.

Came for some food after walking round Tintagel Castle, long wait at the bar as the place was packed our very busy in the town, food was worth it though absolutely beautiful and large portions well worth the money I would visit again!

A great bustling country pub in the heart of Tintagel, it has a friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff team. They serve general pub grub and a great seasonal dessert selection, my favourite menu items have been the 'New Yorker' and 'Chocolate Fudge Cake' with Custard. Personally I have no complaints, great pub, great atmosphere, great location, nothing more you could ask for really.

Popped in for breakfast but was on limited time so they did us a takeaway. While there noticed a good selection of lagers which i have often found lacking in some cornish bars and restaurants.

Service is friendly, especially in the morning. Seems a bit more reserved later in the day and in the evening. The room is nice and clean, but maybe a little over priced.

Food ok, had award winning Cornish pasty! Just looked and tasted like a normal pasty🤔 Service ok barmaid could smile once in a while as it’s customers that pays her wages!

Staff were very friendly and room was lovley. Great location and great view of the old Post office. Bed was extremely uncomfortable and bumpy however and we struggled to sleep both nights. Bed seemed smaller than a double to us but might be because just very different to what we are used to. If bed was more comfy would have easily been 5 star. Breakfast was lovley and really quick service to, which was nice.

Just had a lovely meal. Good quality and really tasty food. Staff are very attentive and friendly whilst constantly clearing tables and cleaning. Definitely recommend. Great selection of local ales.

This is the largest of the pubs in the town, with parking for cars and overnighting motorhomers and campervans at very reasonable costs. The pub has comfortable seating inside and out, and a decent range of beers on tap. The service is excellent and the prices reasonable. The menu is typical pub food but really could do with more vegetarian options.

Not good! We were greeted by a not very friendly man who by his appearance was probably the owner, no friendly welcome and no thanks after spending nearly £50. We ordered cod and chips which was awful and just not edible, chips were excellent and probably the best I’ve had but the fish was not fresh, it was rubbery and obviously cheap frozen fish. Not somewhere we would ever visit again. Real shame as it’s a nice place.

I had dinner, bed and breakfast at King Arthur's Arms Hotel. If staying in or visiting Tintagel it's in a great place, right in the middle of the small town. Room was the nicest I stayed in on my 4 days on the SW coast path (though it was the most expensive). Dinner was excellent. This is a perfect example of good British pub food done well. Portions were huge and seemed very good quality. I had the curry of the day, but saw food on other tables also, the chicken burger looked amazing (massive). There was a good family and dog friendly atmosphere, and a pool table. Service was speedy and attentive, and a good selection of beers on tap. Breakfast also good in the morning. What's not to like?!

Stopped for lunch after visiting the castle. Staff were polite and helpful. Was a bit busy but didn't wait long for our food. The food was nice and well priced. Worth a stop for something to eat. 👍👍👍

Visited this pub on several occasions whilst on holiday in the area. It's spacious and I can recommend the food. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. We were able to book a table to eat. Lots of people were eating here and there is also a specials board. Dogs are made very welcome in all areas of the pub. They provide water bowls and offer free dog biscuits.

The first thing about this stay is the high spec , standard of the room and cleanliness . All five star . We ate in the pub restaurant and the food was good pub fayre , as was breakfast. The only negative was the price of the room and b& b . This was overpriced , for basically staying in a room above a pub . In my opinion, Tintagel is a tiny village and with such little choice the accommodation is overpriced by about £30 per night.

We went here for a late lunch after the castle tour. The service staff were very nice and the food was very tasty. There is also a good selection of vegetarian dishes. Our daughter definitely enjoyed the vegetarian dish.

Visited Friday afternoon, me & my partner had a meal, which was very nice, served quite quickly, the lad & the young girl that served us the food to our table were lovely & friendly, but the chap behind the bar was just plain rude, he took my order, held out the card machine for me to pay & just turned away to serve the next customer behind me, how rude, I've just paid you over £40 & you can't even thank me for my custom, won't be back I'm afraid

Not enough staff, only two bar staff who have to take all drinks and food orders. Two waitresses. Desperately need more staff and table service.

We visited last year and had to come back again. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We had steak & ale pie and the crazy pig burger, which was gorgeous. Great prices for a tourist area! It has had a big makeover and looks brilliant.

Best place near tintagel..The room as well as the bathroom are superb clean & tidy.. Also the location is just few minutes away from tintagel castle..

We were in dire straits because our credit card was stolen. The cash payment for a room was refused and we had to leave. Staff unsympathetic and absolutely not helpful! It really spoiled my impression of the otherwise very friendly English people. A pity!

Absolutely loved this pub, very traditional, would have liked to have stayed for food but we were eating afterwards in Port Isaac, very good atmosphere, lots of space and friendly environment.

We have been traveling the U.K. for a month and this is the best hotel we have stayed at. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and have everything you would need for your stay. The staff are lovely, friendly and efficient.

Pretty good food. It would be nice to have a notice on the tables that you have to order at the counter. It smells strongly of cigarette smoke and the tables are sticky. Thanks for the cleaning products
