Great staff, food and portion sizes! Customer service was fab and wonderful drink selection! The hotel was so cute and I would definitely return here. Toilets were clean too, cute little baby change area!

Always get a lovely reception when going here for a meal and said meal is excellent! Very relaxing dining room and great service.

My 1st time eating at this Hotel. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival. Walked into a lovely atmosphere in the bar and the staff were so lovely. Our meal was superb! I had the Fish in a light beer batter and it was perfection, so fresh, and huge with salad & chips. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Staff are great and just made us feel so welcome. We will be back & would definitely recommend the Kilmartin Hotel . Thank you so much, we had a really lovely afternoon.

As a local, what can I say…..it’s just the best wee pub in the area. Warm welcome always, staff lovely, food great, service fabulous and Kilmartin Hotel has its very own long history of being a place to stop consistently probably for the past 300 years! Full of charm and a real west coast pub feel. Generations of the family are portrayed on the walls and I’m sure many more to come. Good job Richard and all the team serving the community and the local area with amazing custom ⭐️

An older hotel, lovingly cared for by a terrific staff. Rooms have quirky configurations which give them great versatility. Excellent meals. Wonderful, historical location. Check out the museum across the road and take a walk to see the monuments that are literally thousands of years old. I'd return to this hotel in a heartbeat.

Good food and lovely staff. Kilmartin hotel has a striking position in the village- you won’t miss it on the main road. There is easy parking too. We had a delicious meal of home made chicken pie and fresh vegetables. Good traditional pub grub with a great menu. Well cooked and served. Good value for money. We will definitely be back.

Nice evening meal in the restaurant whilst staying in a local cottage for the week. The food was good, with lots of choice and fairly priced. Staff friendly and efficient service. Also a nice walk to and from our cottage through the interesting village of Kilmartin.

We really enjoy jaunts out to the Kilmartin Hotel. Don't expect any frills or gastropub vibes, just solid dependable old fashioned pub fare; big portions, good value, plenty of choice, classic options, Scottish twists. The pub itself could do with an extensive tart up. It's tired inside & out, outright grubby in parts, BUT don't let that put you off. The staff are super friendly, and the manager is welcoming & runs a tight ship. Squeeze through the tight bar, & there's plenty of space out to the back. There are always lots of vegetarian options available (surprisingly), both on the specials board & in the main menu. Personal favourites include the veggie haggis nacho starter (not joking) & the outrageously large desserts! OH always has the steak & ale pie, & staples like chips & onion rings are always good. Great selection of gins (including Kilmartin Gin - my recommendation) and local ales. It won't break the bank & you're guaranteed to come out super full & satisfied!

I regret that this review will not comment on the great quality of the food, the pleasant ambience and the staff friendliness. We were looking for a light lunch {eg soup and a sandwich} and were aware that given the timing (14.25) a snack might be all that would be available. We did not expect to be snapped at that lunch closed at 2.30 pm and nothing was on offer. The surliness of the bar person was so obvious we did not pursue or complain and simply ordered 2 coffees. Given that there is currently no alternative in the area the Inn is missing a great opportunity to build the business and goodwill; and indeed provide hospitality for travellers. The "regulars" at the bar seem to be the same ones as were there when we visited a few years ago - reluctant to move and let us in.

Warm and welcoming pub with terrific food! My daughter who stayed in the hotel with her young child was treated with kindness and care. Her room was modern, clean with excellent amenities. Highly recommend both the hotel and the restaurant !

We had a wonderful late lunch, foid was fantastic, staff were lovely, weather was wonderful. 7 of us plus collie dog for lunch, ate outside in glirious sunshine, even dog was provided with water, could not fault will deffo be back ( dont be put off by the outside door, best pub lunch in Argyll). Well done!

We were staying in a local B&B so needed an evening meal each of three nights. We had been in previous years so had no reservations (no pun intended) about booking here again. And we were not disappointed. OK the Saturday night was a bit hectic but the food was excellent as usual. "Belly Pork" was my choice. Superb. I even had it a second night just to be sure it was not a fluke. It was'n't! Staff were excellent and service was always brisk and accompanied with that all important smile. They looked after us well on all three visits and we will be back.

Looking at a hotel from outside, I was confused. But entering was a very different sensation. Warming atmosphere with kind and helpful staff. Service was far beyond my expectations. And there are also interesting places to see. Castle, burial chambers, standing stones. This was one of my best experience with hospitality in Scotland.

This accommodation is a few rooms above a local pub. The room we had was massive with lovely views but riddled with damp and not the cleanest. The shower was OK but the shower tray would not empty, the windows and floors were dirty. We dined in the restaurant which again was run down with broken chairs and cobwebs but the food was OK. Breakfast was a selection of cereals and Juice and you could order a full Scottish breakfast, this was all deep fried. I suppose you get what you pay for and the staff were friendly.

We were in the area to celebrate a wedding and wre recommended to come to the restaurant at this hotel. It is unassuming from the exterior but on entering we found a spacious dining room through the bar area. We wee met by charming waitresses who served us quickly in a most pleasant and professional way. The meal was absolutely delicious (a bit of work needed on the pastry for the chicken and mushroom pie, filling lovely) with a good choice of starters mains and desserts. I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant for a meal if X you are in the area.

12 of us stopped here on our motorbikes on Saturday, admittedly it didn't look much from the outside, but we went in. Bar and waitress staff couldn't have been more helpful.

We were recommended to eat here by the owner of our B&B;, the welcome was very friendly and we were shown into the second dining area. There was a large group of people at the other table but we were attended to very quickly. The food was average at best, I had a cheese burger which was quite dry, I did eat it as I was starving, but could have been improved with some relish or mayonaise. My friends were also a bit disappointed with their meals, however, the staff saved the day!

We really enjoy an evening in The Kilmartin. Richard the owner is the perfect Host, very helpful and efficient, as are all of his family and staff. There is always a lovely atmosphere when we are there at weekends. Would definitely recommend it. Food is good and it's dog friendly which is a bonus for us.

I needed a hotel for an over night stay and decided on this and I was not disappointed. I had a massive room with separate toilet and shower area the bed could have been more comfortable though. The food was good and there was plenty of it. I would stay again

Hubby and I spent Christmas week in this stunning area of Argyll and frequented the Kilmartin Hotel on numerous occasions, both for an after walk drink and a taster of their food...each time we were greeted so warmly by the lovely staff, who remembered our faces when we returned throughout the week to the bar. Some good ales and stouts on offer that are a big part of our holiday relaxation. Food wise, the venison burgers were to die for....and all served up with a warming smile!! Certainly a stopping point when next we're in the area. All the very best for 2019 Kilmartin Hotel.

We regularly use the road through Kilmartin Glen, and find it almost impossible not to stop for a meal and a pint if the time is right. We've never been disappointed. Plenty to choose from the main menu or specials board. The service is always friendly and helpful, and the cask beer is always in tip-top condition.

I went to Scotland on a family holiday and we stayed a mile away from the Kilmartin Hotel and Restaurant. My partner and I decided to try the food in the restaurant at the beginning of the holiday and we continued to return.

We had not booked ,buit were found a table in this charming popular watering hole, situated at the top of Kilmartin glen. It was busy, but the waitress was most helpful in attending to us, and we were served promptly. The Cullen Skink ( a fish soup not unlike clam chowder) was recommended by a friend of mine, andI ambound to say that it was up there with the best of them. It was delicious, filling and attractively presented. My wife had two starters, rather than a main course, which caused them no trouble. Thiehotel could benefit from a lick of paint, as it is a bit tired looking. In contrast ,the staff were attentive, hard working, polite, and the food was well presented, hot, and reasonably priced. I will not hesitate to visit here again, if only for the Cullen Skink!

They may have been students but the 4 waiters/ess we had over 2 days were very friendly and efficient. Food, likewise was very superior for a small pub and portions extremely generous.

This hotel is a great place to stay. The director is just a very nice man who try to help you as he can! The room was clean and spacious for a family of 5! The diner was just perfect as was the breakfast!

Wonderful old Scottish bar with great beer and a surprisingly good menu and great food. Service was great , barman was cheery and a good mix of locals and tourists. Outdoor tables if the weather is dry , and indoor with an open fire for cold weather. Brilliant.

Having left another local hotel due to poor service we went to the Kilmartin. The difference was vast. The staff were very polite, helpful and friendly and the person in charge was excellent making sure the service was so good. The menu was varied and quality/presentation were very good. It has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and I would recommend a visit.

There were ten of us, we needed to book, but service was quick. There were plenty of choices, specials and children's menu. It was the waitress second night but we wouldn't have known, she was very helpful and answered all our questions. the food was good. I had salmon with pesto, pasta and pine nuts. The salmon was a large filet and was perfectly cooked. Overall we would recommend it

We walked from our b&b; and had a good thirst and appetite when we arrived. Nice range of beers. Excellent food. Good service though we did have a bit of a wait because of a big party in front of us. Recommended.

The lady serving was very pleasant. The seafood chowder was great. I enjoyed the chicken curry. The salmon didn't taste so fresh. The mushrooms stuffed with haggis were Ok. Beers good. Friendly place, relaxed atmosphere. Popular with the locals.
