What a fabulous find and would highly recommend a stop here for food. Tristan the barman was so friendly and welcoming and we could bring the dog in. This is a beautiful spot for any occasion. Bar staff friendly and knowledgeable. Dogs are allowed in one part and can be there during meal times. Food excellent. Great atmosphere. Well worth the drive down the scenic, if twisty, road!!

We stayed here for only one night , but what a lovely room number 3 is. (There are only 3 rooms.)In fact the whole place is very tastefully finished and is a real gem in the area. The restaurant is rightly very popular and bookings seem necessary. The food was lovely and we both had the sunday roast beef which was excellent. Breakfast was a bit disappointing as both had somehow got very over done. We put that down to one of these things because everything else about the place was spot on.

The food is absolutely amazing. I’ve never been outfaced by mussels before but there were so many (main) & so big and just delicious. The size of “starter” mussels is what you’d usually get. Our second night I was torn between the mussels again or the Sea Bream & went for the later and was definitely not disappointed, gorgeous. My partner has the chicken, ham & tarragon pie both nights & again said it was delicious. But definitely book ahead if you aren’t staying there as extremely popular, including with locals which is always a good sign. Just wish we had this Inn near to where we live!

We have just enjoyed a fantastic one night stay here at the Kilchrennan Inn. The room (3) was so nice and well equipped, the bonus being was that it didn’t have a television. The staff are so helpful and attentive, we eat lunch, dinner and breakfast which were all superb. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had in a very long while. The location is off the beaten track but it’s well worth the drive to find this little gem of a place. If your looking for a lovely quiet night or two away with great Scottish hospitality you’ll not be disappointed. We’ll certainly be back.

Almost every entry in our holiday guest book mentions how amazing this place is, so we had to give it a try. It is Fab-u-lous!!! The decor is smart and restful, the staff super friendly and the food divine. It was so good, we had to pay a return visit. Whilst it is off the beaten track, it is well worth the drive. Best food we have eaten so far in this neck of the woods.

The Kilchrenan Inn is a rare find. Superb food and excellent rooms set in the heart of some of Scotland's most beautiful scenery. An ideal base for exploring the local area, post the excellent breakfast.

Our room was cosy, comfortable, and immaculate, with a coffee machine and fresh milk if required. Food, served in the very pleasant bar/restaurant was very good. Proprietors and staff were all friendly, helpful and efficient. Our short stay was a pleasure from start to finish.

We were staying in the area for a couple of nights and decided to have dinner on the second night. Although it was a Wednesday booking was essential. We were able to have the last table that was available. Lovely cosy feel to the inn and the staff were very attentive and helpful. We opted for the Mussels for our starter and my word - they were terrific. These were large Mussels cooked with garlic and bacon in a white wine sauce Yum - Yum. We thought they may have been landed in oban but Phil mentioned that they were from the Shetlands. Apparently Oban Mussels at this time of year are a lot smaller and not as tasty. Our main course was fishy as well - haddock. Cooked in a beer batter. Delightful. Comments from other patrons were all as positive as ours. Phil and Pipa have been at the Inn for approximately 3 years and I do hope they will be they for a few more years to come so that we can enjoy another meal with them.

Stopped for lunch here whilst staying at a local hotel. Even though it was after 2.30pm and they’d stopping serving good but made an exception and we had an excellent lunch. Food was great, staff helpful and the ambience really welcome. Would definitely recommend it.

Everything about The Kilchrenan Inn exceeded our expectations. Our room was so well put together and the fitting and fixtures beautiful-you can really tell this is a passion project down to the tap/shower and even the bins! It was cosy and inviting when we arrived, we slept like babies in the plush bed and the shower in the morning was bliss-1000x better than our home shower! Everyone we met were super friendly and helpful-very relaxed and nothing was too much trouble. Can’t even begin to talk about the food-genuinely out of this world and way beyond anything we expected. We had the rack of lamb and the chicken, ham and tarragon pie and it was one of the best meals we have ever eaten. Will absolutely be returning- Thank you so much!

We stayed for one night July 2020, mid-pandemic. Scotland had just opened up to visitors and we were given a warm welcome despite all the COVID precautions the owners took. The room was sizeable and appeared to have been recently refurbed. Dinner was amazing - great food and great service - and breakfast was equally good. The chef and owner paid attention to every detail, which was much appreciated in difficult times. Lovely people and well worth a visit.

Absolutely loved our stay at Kilchrenan Inn. The food was delicious. The room was ideal, with a huge bed, ocean bath and quality furnishings. Listening to the river trickle by was so calming, and the room's speaker meant we could listen to our own music. Every little detail had been thought of, from the bowls that kept the soup warm until after the final spoonful, to the lighting in the room. For the evening of our wedding, it was perfect.

Decided to book this Inn for a night based on Tripadvisor reviews. The pub is very well run and we enjoyed our stay. Room size was okay with a very comfortable bed. Pleased to say covid safety measures were taken seriously, the whole place was immaculate and there was sanitiser everywhere you looked. We had booked in for dinner and the food was delicious especially the confit of duck cottage pie! Wine and cheese were also excellent. Good choice for breakfast too. Will keep this place in mind if in the area again, would love to call in for a pub lunch especially in the summer as they have a lovely outside sitting area. Hopefully next year!

Staying at a nearby hotel, we had a peasant walk to the inn for a bite to eat. Friendly welcome to the bar from the team. A smoked fish platter and a beautiful crayfish open sandwich really hit the spot. Good choice of drinks too. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.
