Ordered 2 sausage and cheese oatcakes, hardly and cheese with hard dry sausages and cold, also had a breakfast box with hash browns and I really don't know where to start, the fried eggs were black and the yolk was that well done it actually came out of the white, cold hard food apart from the hash browns which were that soggy they couldn't be picked up

I’ve had from the shop in the past and the food was nice but we went today and I’ve honestly never been served anything that bad in my life, we asked for 2 double oatcakes with fillings and I was served 2 cold oatcakes with no fillings only a firm blob of rubbery cheese thrown on top it looked like it had been microwaved to within an inch of its life, we didn’t even take a bite I just asked for my money back... I’m just glad we checked the order outside the shop instead of driving all the way home. The young lady taking the orders was polite and apologised after taking a look at what the kitchen had served me. The two young kids in the kitchen cooking the food need supervision ASAP because after today we won’t be going back.

Hubby and me recently visited our family/friends in The Potteries (we now live in North Wales). We called in here yesterday morning (Monday). The girl behind the counter was friendly. We bought 6 North Staffordshire savoury oatcakes (£1.20) and a Wrights meat & potato pie (£1.40). Both are a local speciality. This takeaway also sells pikelets, pork pies, sausage rolls, cakes and tarts.

Worst breakfast I’ve ever had. Eggs over cooked and the base was burnt and solid. reminded me of a lump of solid silicone. How hard is it to cook eggs!! Really!! Sausages we really hard to cut into as well. The bacon was really salty too. I will not be returning to this shop any time soon.

Long wait, soggy and cold. Threw mine and my partners in the bin after one bite. The cheese was still hard.

Good honest Staffordshire Oat cakes...nothing can beat them. Take a dozen home or have them filled for take away. Also a range of custard tarts, pikelets and cakes. Brilliant.

Hubby and I are originally from Stoke-on-Trent but retired 2 years ago to live in North Wales. On a recent Monday, after visting family/friends in The Potteries, we decided to go to Kidsgrove Town Centre. We specifically aimed for the corner of King Street in order to buy some traditional North Staffordshire oatcakes to take back with us. These savoury soft thin pancakes are a local speciality and are served hot with any combination of breakfast fillings. We just bought a dozen cold oatcakes to takeaway which cost £2.10. The staff were very friendly. When we returned to our Welsh cottage, we sprinkled the oatcakes with grated cheddar cheese, grilled them and rolled them up. We thoroughly enjoyed eating them and thinking of our fellow Stokies. A visit to the Potteries is not complete unless you have experienced The Oatcake!

I took my mum here for Mother's Day, for an afternoon tea. Lovely place, thoroughly recommend, friendly staff and delicious food.

Our intentions were to go to another local Wether spoons but this is closed for renovations. Sat at a unclean sticky table as we had no choice. Had to literally ask where are my Crisps as staff too busy dancing about to pay any attention! Then we received the wrong ones but would of waited ages to get proper ones. Staff spilt a shot over my Dad which they will be billed for if the stains don't come out. Food well Dad enjoyed his but my food was cold. Disgusting they had no Mayo at all and the Tomato sauce was rebottled. Chips were that hard I had to soak them in Vinegar to make them edible. Day light robbery for a bit of cheese. Won't come to this Spoons again and went to another after so to keep our sanity. Never again.

Long wait and food was cold when it arrived. Quality of good wasn't great either.

Probably the oldest pub I'd found in the area on my pub crawl in Newcastle. Full of character, great staff, karaoke playin oldies so no rubbish on. Would undoubtedly visit again.

Met up with some friends for some drinks. All casks were on and tasted great. A few in watching the sports on the TV. Also had a impromptu burger which was not shy on all the trimmings.
