Khao San Rd in York

We originally booked to come here over Xmas 2023 but due to my daughter coming down with flu we had to cancel. Finally got here in March and was not disappointed. Superb food, excellent welcoming staff (the ladies were also beautiful) and reasonable price. We had 8-9 dishes (just the right size) our favourite dishes were soft shell crab, crispy belly pork and sea bass. Beautiful food, we would recommend it to anyone who likes Asian cuisine.

Vey welcoming for a late booking, great service and exceptional food. I would recommend a dish but we shared 12 and all of them were good.

Second time visiting this restaurant and what a disappointment! Dishes were cold. Service was poor and food took so long to be served. This could have been due to how busy it was on Valentine’s Day but either way I would save your money and find a better Thai restaurant

Very poor service due to over booking. Waited an hour and a half for food to be served, only to be told one of our items was not available.Had to ask for plates and cutlery. Staff seemed to be confused as to who had ordered what. Many customers were complaining.

A beautiful little restaurant creating a very nice ambience. The menu recommended 3 small dishes per person but we found 2 each was ideal for us. Food is quickly prepared and of a high standard though our meal with a bottle of wine was £75 so not cheap thai food!

Recently came here for the first time with friends. The food was very good. Soooo much choice! Wife doesn’t like too much spice so apprehensive about the menu. But wasn’t a problem. She loved the food. So much flavour. Great service. Will definitely be back.

Fanatastic prob best Thai have been to. Small and a little on the cramped side for some tables. Poor waitress was worked off her feet the night we were there. The food was outstanding. Expensive for very small portions. Curries came out first and were cold, rice and noodles followed 10 mins later. Food was tasty but left hungry after spending £100 for 2 x adults and 2 x teenagers.

We came to this restaurant 7 years ago on our last visit to York and had a very enjoyable meal so very pleased to say it was as good this time around.
