Khan Tandoori in Wirral

First time.been to Khans and didn't disappoint, the staff where so friendly and the food was absolutely spot on, please give this restaurant a go as it will not disappoint.

We has a great meal here for my wife's birthday, she is on the Slimming World programme and Raf advised her what was the best food to go for. The restaurant had just opened following refurbishment, and now has a luxurious ambience as well as top notch food. Really good that you can also 'BYOB' too, just to cut down on costs. Khan's is now our 'go to' Indian/Bangla restaurant. Highly recommended! 👌🏻

Fantastic food, Great service. Lovely atmosphere. Our new Indian to go too. Bring your own drink is a bonus. The staff are so helpful ❤️❤️❤️

Visited Khan's on a whim, so glad we did. It was a Monday evening so very quiet, the service was excellent and the food was amazing and beautifully presented. The onion bhaji's were delicious, really light and very delicately seasoned. Hubby went for the mixed kebab, again lovely presentation and he said everything on his plate was tasty. Our mains were equally delicious (Chicken Bengal and Chicken Makhanwalla), just the right amount of everything. Could not fault the food. Will definitely be visiting again

excellent food and service good prices asked for a lassi drink not on menu yet but hopefully soon but they went out of their way to make me one very nice touch, the butter chicken was one of the nicest I've tasted would recommend all seven of us really enjoyed all the food and evening they do not have a alcohol license but you can bring your own no corkage charge the dashi paratha were fantastic

Cold food wrong order rude staff swearing on phone told me to F off twice when I was giving directions as they were lost won’t be ordering again or my family owner needs to have a word with staff as not appropriate.

We had several takeaways from Khans before Christmas and again had one last night. We have never been disappointed with the food. We must visit the restaurant sometime soon rather than a takeaway.

Just visited for some quiet tea, service was great, food was cooked properly care was taken with presentation and all around great experience. Raf looked after us this evening and made it a great evening!

Terrible attitude on the phone, took our order and when I questioned it they had put a delivery charge on it without telling me, I was giving it one last chance as the week before our meals weren’t good and again very expensive. They have just lost over £100 a month from us now.

Chill mellow environment, Great atmosphere, great food, great customer service. Pricing is spot on, so are the portions, you won't be disappointed.

Great restaurant. Went as part of family birthday celebration so a large number of us. Service impeccable by really lovely staff. Food was good value and good portions but more importantly was delicious. Big choice of starters, mains, sides vegetarian etc. Clearly great care taken in cooking each dish. Sampled everyone else's and all unique with thier own taste and not just the ubiquitous sauce for every dish. Nice ambience, plenty of on street parking, take your own booze but plenty of soft drinks available. A takeaway service is available and looked to be busy. Would recommend and we will certainly visit again.

We have been customers of this place for takeaway for many years.Only covid 19 stopped us going. We ordered take away with delivery last night.To say we were pleased to be eating their delicious meals once more is an under statement .We ordered Chicken Tikka main meals pillar rice Creamy Korma Sauce nans and all the trimmings.This was freshly cooked and piping hot.Try it and you will not regret it.Order early they are always busy.the sign of a popular eatery.

Had a lovely meal for my Birthday, food was really nice, everyone enjoyed it. And the waiter is fantastic, great at his job but also a lovely fella, really funny and couldn't do enough for us. A lovely meal to end a lovely day, thanks Naz. Will definitely be going back.

Refugee from the Khan Tandoori's (Church Rd) new owners here, which used to be great, but is now just terrible. I have Just ordered a lamb vindaloo, but got a chicken rogan josh, dansak or korma (ie something very mild) along with 2 correct chicken madras. The chicken in all 3 dishes was so overcooked as to be too dry to chew. When the Khan changed I followed a recipe in "The Indian Restaurant Cookbook" and I can honestly say that I can do much better than this. Forty quid down the drain. Not going back. Will continue my search for any local Indian that matches the old Khan.

Missing Rice from order. I mean surely an order is checked before delivery. I won’t be ordering again as this is the second time it’s happened. So if you order check you have everything you’ve paid for. Still no rice delivered nor any refund offered - disappointing.

We have been regular customers since the 70's and are so sad to say that since the new owner has taken over we have been disappointed with the food and after a few takeaways have decided not to go back. The food was bland and lacked that lovely authentic taste of Indian cuisine that made us return over the years to Khans. We miss the usual Saturday night takeaways from Khans and seeing "Hughie" the owner, that we so looked forward to.

Ordered a takeaway then was told they would only take cash. Delivery apps were clicking away behind the counter. Hot-Bags stacked up on counter. Delivery apps are all done by card so the establishment clearly accepts cards. Not sure why they dont accept cards from walk-in customers but have a good idea. Anyway I was more than happy to take my business elsewhere and wont be back. Its 2021 after all!!

Nawabi completely different sauce and smaller dry chicken Butterfly prawn now only 1 piece and in dry and awful tastelessness breadcrumbs Sheek kebab dry. Never order again and been eating here since I was a kid Gutted

We Have been using Khans for many may years, We have been told this takeaway has been sold ,And last week we ordered food and i will be honest with you the food is only 20% of what khans gave you i will never order from here again unless khan comes back please try but you will only order once believe me

Moving to a new area, you look for the decent local takeaways. You take advice, you check online. I looked at a couple of others with mixed reviews before I came across Khan's. I was impressed by the number of 5* reviews, and glowing testimonials, so this was the one to try. They didn't let me down. I couldn't get onto their website on my phone, but my son did on his PC, so we chose from their menu. I ordered by phone because their online ordering service (serving many different businesses) insisted it knew me, but I had no idea of my password. Preparation time was good, at 40 minutes. When I arrived to collect, the order was there and ready for me. I hadn't realised it was cash only, but the guy serving me was unfazed by that, and the minor problem that caused me. Getting the order home, we were impressed by the portion sizes. I ate very well, and will, again, tomorrow. In all honesty, I'd say it's the best Indian I've had. The special kebab starter was full of flavour, sufficiently char-grilled to be pleasant, neither over- nor under-done. The Balti was succulent and tasty, spicy without overpowering, full of the flavours of its ingredients. My son's Tikka massala was equally delicious, a fraction hotter, full of tomato flavours rather than yoghurt and sugar that you get in some lesser-quality CTMs. The eggs in the pilau rice were freshly cooked, the naans straight out of the oven and really tasty. Khan's is a find to keep note of. Go there and judge for yourself. If you get the quality of food and service that I had, you will find a takeaway restaurant that you'll want to come back to.

Food is always good, Just make sure you order 1 hour in advance for collection and definitely 2 hours in adavance for delivery and expect to put back in microwave to heat up as you can guarantee it will be just warm. Don't expect any friendly greetings as it certainly doesn't happen here.

In the midst of the Coronavirus challenge, we just wanted to acknowledge our gratitude to all at Khan. We did wait almost 3 hours for the delivery but hey, we weren’t going anywhere! The food was delicious and well worth the wait. Our usual delivery colleague - as polite and courteous as ever. Khan and all such services are part of the great efforts that are keeping us going.We are very grateful.

Been going here for years but stopped going because they didn’t deliver, now they do been going back, so far so good, one little hitch one time when we got the wrong meals but the ones we got were still good , apart from that everything good, very nice meals. Try the Chicken Tikka Ceylon , really nice.

Absolutely the best indian food and always has been!!! Been going here for well over 25 years and at times with being in a different location couldn't make it here and had to use another. But nothing compares to Khans or ever will 😊

Just ordered a Chicken Fahim and Mughlai with Pineapple rice and Nann it never disappoints and is always consistent. Hubby likes his sauce thick and it always is in around 6 years of ordering from here. Its always no bother to if you like to tweak the dish as I like mine with added spice and cheese on top. Parking is a bit of a nightmare tho so always go together so one can run in as lots of yellow lines! Just make sure if the tell you it 30 minutes you turn up at 40 as it's really busy so expect a wait!

Has the ownership changed recently food slightly different ie big chunk of pepper in jalfrezi But still nice

Just went to khan restaurant as I am move into Birkenhead, waited for 25 minutes for 4- Roti(naan) . The person served me with a major attitude no customer service with a lot of attitude, by the time I reached home it’s about 5 minutes drive the roti was like a papdam not chewable, I called the guy and again with an attitude he just said we do it as it is , shame on you how it would be if you need to eat , they are partially uncooked and corners are hard as hell, if you can’t cook roti I can imagine how worst you dishes would be , but I can imagine people may not know about quality desi Indian curry and other stuff and you are just looting them.shame on you

I have been a regular for a very long time and I have never had a bad meal. The quality of the food is exceptional and the service first class. I have obviously tried other take aways but always return to khan's. Really seriously good curries.

This was another great curry from the Khan. Selected curries and staff swapped meat for paneer (not specifically on the menu). Forgot to take a photo but will be using again.

After reading recent positive reviews we decided to give Khans a try. We ordered 2 portions of meat samosa, chips, boiled rice, chicken madras and chicken ceylon. The samosas went in the bin as the pastry was not cooked through properly and the filling was at best bland. The chips were full of black bad bits so quickly followed. The curries were slightly better but watery and not up to the same standard as other local takeaways. The madras had spinach and lemon in which is a first for me. The place only has a small number of recent reviews but has apparently been open for decades so not sure if there has been a recent change of name. Overall very poor.

Really tasty well cooked food. Delivery was fast and almost bang on the time given.One thing though is on the website they use a motorbike icon to indicate the food has left for delivery. The driver arrived in a car, this really confused my wife.

This is still the best Indian takeaway around as we have been coming here for over 40 years and never had a bad meal yet!

It's been a while since our favourite Indian takeaway changed hands, and the food was no longer to our liking. Since then we've been trying everywhere to find a replacement, but not anymore, Khan is without a doubt the best we've had. Tonight I had the best seekh kebab starter I've had for as long as I can remember, popadums were warm and crispy, rice was spot on and the main, a chicken tikka dhansak was fantastic. Highly recommended.

Takeaway Indian meal. It was really nice. Regular Saturday evening takeaway delivery. Reasonable price...very tasty and piping hot on arrival.

This is always our first choice for Indian food . Gorgeous food and the fella on the desk is proper sound and if it's not on the menu which is very rare they will always accommodate your needs . Spot on food simple as that.

Still great food as always, I find it hard to go anywhere else. This take away has been here now for about thirty years so I think that says a lot as it is still here and as good as ever

We have been going to Khans since the late 70's and it has always been the best takeaway we have ever tried, the food is delicious the starters are always fresh and the meals have all been hot when we get them home, we put the meal in the oven whilst eating the starters with a glass of wine just to keep them warm.We would always recommend this place to anyone.

I've been going to khan for 10years now and my partner more. Amazing tastes/flavours. Good quality chicken and big portions. Very reasonable priced for what you get. Lovely staff too

My dad has been to Khan Tandoori a lot over the years and he loves this takeaway. I know other people who travel from West Kirby and Liverpool to this take away because it's so nice. All of these people agree the staff are very kind and accommodating and I couldn't agree more. The curry is delicious and the chunky chips are perfect with the curry and different to other restaurants and takeaways. The portion sizes are good and the prices are fair. There is also an online website were you can order your food online and view all of the menu and prices and pay by card. The only complaint I have is that it is so popular on a Friday and Saturday night that it takes over an hour to be delivered but the staff are honest with this.

Friday Night Takeaway we decided to try a local Takeaway we had heard of good reviews from friends about Khan's so decided to give them a try. the food took just under an hour to arrive. the portion sizes were big. overall we all enjoyed our food.
