Delivery time started 25-45 mins. Took nearly 2 hours. Sides were cold. Sauce split, salad wilted. I could tell it had been sat under the heat lamp for sometime. Perhaps not restaurants fault. But huge wait time. Shame as the food here is absolutely lovely when hot. And was excited to see they were taking orders tonight.

Had the 3 Combo box today, and I am not exaggerating when I say it was the best meal I’ve had in ages. So so so delicious and an absolute bargain as well. If you’re in Hastings it would be an absolute sin to miss this place.

If I could leave a zero I would , what a shocking wrap it waa served cold with a weak mushy filling and soggy wet wrap . So bad it gave me a bad stomach for hours . Not recommended.

My boyfriend and I always come here when we are down in Hastings. Amazing fresh and delicious food. Quick and friendly service. Food is all homemade we had the delight to have the trio of starters and my partner had the chicken box. And of course to finish we had baklava at the end of it. Very reasonably priced.

To any Arabs thinking of trying this place, don’t. The food is not catered to us at all. It lacks all the correct flavours and is a poor representation of Levantine/Arab cuisine. It’s like if Jamie Oliver tried to open a Lebanese restaurant. Before I go on I just want to say the staff are lovely and the service was very good, and the decor is nice. The warak enab was definitely taken out of a can. The batata harra was not cooked the correct way at all and they just added a lot of paprika and nothing else. It was extremely dry. The most disappointing item was the kabsa. It did not represent kabsa at all. The rice was served soaking wet, with chicken marinaded with incorrect seasonings on top. Served with tzatziki which has nothing to do with kabsa. I ordered chicken wings as a side thinking it would be grilled (like jawaneh) but they gave fried chicken wings with buffalo sauce on top. Again can’t fault the lovely staff, just a shame the food was so disappointing.

couldn't tell u what food was like as it never arrived even though the driver marked it as delivered when it hadn't which annoyed me and baffled me as u have to give them a code? call to resturant said they couldn't help once it been handed to driver so now had to go through the refund process and hope I get my money back not impressed.

I recently visited a wonderful Eastern restaurant with a lovely Arabic vibe, and it was a great experience! The staff were so friendly and welcoming, making the whole visit even more enjoyable. We tried the falafel wrap, vegetarian shawarma, and vegetarian Kabsa. Each dish was delicious, full of rich flavors and spices. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable, offering excellent value for money. The restaurant itself has a cozy and charming atmosphere. The decorations are beautiful, with lots of attention to detail that adds to the authentic feel. It’s also a great place for families, with a kid-friendly menu and a relaxed vibe. If you’re looking for tasty Eastern food with great service and a warm atmosphere, this place is definitely worth a visit!

We had a great meal at Khalid’s Kitchen. The food was delicious, and we really enjoyed the authentic Arab flavors. Service was a bit slow, even though we were the only ones there, but the quality of the food made up for it. Since we love Arab cuisine, we’ll definitely be back!

Amazing quality, fresh and tasty

Have just started going here after having been recommended by a friend the staff are brilliant so friendly and helpful when asked about their menu they are happy to explain and recommended which foods would suit and the young lady tonight was so helpful over my coffee, the restaurant both inside and out is spotless, we will be going there more regularly 😀

I came here for lunch today to try something different and was really impressed. I paid £7.50 for a generously sized and flavourful portion of loaded fries, which I thought was excellent value and so much nicer (and probably healthier, too) than going to the McDonald's just up the road. Would happily come back here in the future!

My adult son recommended we dine here for lunch. He chose well. Happy staff, the food we ate was superb, well presented and portion sizes were generous. Son had loaded fries with chicken, I ate lamb shawarma, daughter had lamb samosas. We were all really impressed, loads of seating in and out, a really enjoyable lunch. Fantastic value for £24. I'll be back with husband for sure

Very disappointed in Khalids. We’ve been loyal customers since it opened using the place at least once a week. We decided to get it delivered through Uber and the driver delivered the wrong food . I called the restaurant and explained and even offered to drive down and drop the wrong food off and collect the correct food. Were told by the manager that there was nothing he could do and it was Ubers problem. We’re now down £50 and have no food that we can eat to show for it. A show of good faith to a regular customer would’ve gone a long way.

My favourite restaurant in the town centre! Brilliant breakfasts. Good choose for vegetarians also.

Recommended Traditonal Arab restaurant. Situated just outside the Priory Meadow Shopping Centre entrance. Plenty of seating, which includes outside, ground floor and upstairs. Clean, well decorated, the floor and wall tiles were very eye catching. Staff were friendly. Plenty of options including kids meals. Well priced meals. Food was flavoursome, with home cooked taste.

Nice looking restaurant and friendly enough staff but food is a real let down. Lots of things on menu were unavailable and you're only made aware of this when you order. Food took an age to come and was luke warm at best when it did. Chicken was bland tasteless and dry, Served with half a pitta?. Rice was ok and homous was fine. Asked for some chilli sauce which finally arrived when I had almost finished the meal.. That was quite nice tbf and gave the little food I had remaining a bit of flavour. This is the second time I've been to this restaurant and both times have been seriously underwhelming. Not again I'm afraid. Which is a shame

We arrived not long before the kitchen closed, we were told some options on the menu would not be available due to this, that was fine with us. Staff were very polite and accommodating, food was delicious. I even brought some cakes to take away. Would definitely come back

Here for a long time, not a good time. We waited over an hour for the fry up due to a late delivery. We weren't updated on the delay as we waited and the food was incredibly disappointing. The sausages were incredibly dry and did not taste good at all. The mushrooms and beans were also very disappointing with most of our table opting not to eat them. We were given a round of free coffees to apologise for the wait but given the poor quality of the food we will not be returning.

The staff were very polite and helpful. My partner's vegan Tawook and my chicken Kabsa were absolutely delicious. The mocktails also were very, very good and very reasonably priced, as were the meals we all enjoyed. We bought 6 pieces of baklava to take away. We were all so full up we couldn't fit in tea, cofees or sweet directly after the meal. The baklava/kanoufa (?) were the best we've ever tasted - (in uk, as never tried elsewhere). And again portions are large. Also included a couple of varieties of baklava we've not seen before. Outstanding food. totally recommend Khalids Kitchen. We'll be going back - for meals and more baklava!

Very delicious food at very fair prices. The service was nice and helpful. The toilets were very clean. Unfortunately, some tables lacked knives and forks as well as napkins. All in all, I recommend this restaurant for everyone who wants authentic Arabic cuisine. We will definitely come back.

I just ordered a shawarma wrap, chips and tabbouleh. The wrap and chips while small were as advertised. The tabbouleh however was just a sad bowl of parsley. Tabbouleh is a salad, not a single herb, I'm an Arab I know what I'm talking about. I'm disappointed and would rather have had nothing and not been charged £6.15 for 20p worth of parsley. Shocking. I won't order again. Be warned.

First revisit in a few months. Nothing has slipped, you'll still get an excellent everything here!

The food was terrible. I absolutely loveee Turkish food & have been missing it since I’ve been out of London. I wanted to love this place so much & was so excited to order it. But the food was horrific! I ordered a lamb shawarma box, the lamb was dry and gritty with pieces or cartilage. The rice was dry and tasted like uncle bens. The salad and chips were okay. I was looking forward to the bread and hummus, but tell me why it tasted like I was eating paper??? It was thin, dry and tasted like it had come out of a packet. Nothing tasted fresh, it was all so disappointing!

Best place around, won’t find better tasting food!!

I have eaten at Khalid’s Kitchen on numerous occasions and every time I have not been disappointed. A wonderful atmosphere with lovely friendly staff and the food is great, especially the kofte, shawarma and kibbeh boxes along with the pancakes…oh and the chai latte is the best I’ve ever tasted! A would totally recommend a visit if you haven’t already.

I absolutely love this place!!! Whether it’s a cup of coffee and a sweet treat, lunch or dinner - Khalid’s Kitchen is the place to go! Khalid and his team are attentive, friendly and helpful…nothing is too much trouble, and they are especially considerate of my food allergy. The food is delicious - it's authentic and made by the talented kitchen staff. There is plenty of choice, and something for every occasion. I can recommend the shakshuka wrap for breakfast or the chicken shawarma for lunch and dinner. The food is always served fresh and wonderfully presented. The restaurant is beautifully decorated in an Arabic style with exceptional attention to detail. It is clean, comfy, and spacious - a perfect place to enjoy with friends and family. There's also outside seating which makes for a perfect pitstop on our dog walks. I’ve been a regular customer for two years so I’ve included some photos which speak for themselves - simply wonderful food and drinks! Come and see for yourselves, I would 100% recommend to anyone!

Do not bother with this restaurant. I booked our table via Facebook messenger which is a service offered by Khalids Kitchen via Facebook. The table was confirmed by them and a reminder sent on the day of the booking. When we arrived this evening we were told there was no booking for us and that we would have to sit downstairs. It was cold downstairs as the delivery drivers were continually in and out of the door. The waitress put the heating on for us but it didn’t take the chill off. One of our party went upstairs to find several tables not reserved so we had been lied to. We were given menus which were covered in food and dog-eared. Our starters, (3 x hummus), took 25 minutes to arrive. One of our party asked for gluten free bread, hers arrived warmed, the other 2 portions of bread were stone cold so we had to ask for it to be warmed. Our main meals arrived before our starters had been cleared away. One of the dishes was lamb skewers with onion, pepper and cherry tomatoes with rice and tahini sauce. The skewer arrived without the pepper and cherry tomatoes, when we queried this we were told they didn’t have any left. This hadn’t been explained to us when the food was brought to the table. We were offered bigger tomatoes which we agreed to. We were brought a little bowl of 2 CHERRY TOMATOES, after being told there weren’t any. Then a bowl of peppers arrived, again after we’d been told there weren’t any. So far we’d been lied to about the table and the tomatoes and peppers. The lamb was so overcooked it was bone dry, there was no pinkness in the middle and it was black on the outside. The rice on all 3 of our dishes was clumpy, my dish had massive clumps of rice stuck together. Very unappetising and not how rice should be presented in a restaurant. We asked to speak to the owner as we were so unhappy with our evening. He said all he could do was apologise, he argued with us about the peppers and tomatoes and said he’d ’found the tomatoes in the corner of the fridge’ which was reassuring. We asked for a discount as we were not willing to pay for inedible food. He offered 25% which we declined. We asked for 50% which we believed would cover the hummus and our drinks. As we continued to explain how unhappy we were he walked away from us mid sentence. Extremely rude behaviour from a business owner who relies on the good faith of customers to keep his business going. We offered to pay for the food we had eaten and our drinks as they still expected us to pay for the inedible food even after the discount. After speaking to the owner again, the waiter said we didn’t have to pay. That wasn’t even the point, the awful food and the rudeness of the owner was the point. We will never visit Khalids Kitchen again and urge others not to either.

The service was attentive but very relaxed. Perfect balance between being available to help, without being intrusive. The food was delicious and fresh. Side salad is normally an afterthought, but you could tell it was all fresh and crisp, always a good sign of quality. Had dinner with a vegetarian (I'm not!) and there were good options for us both. Not only was the food excellent, but excellently value for money. The decor and general vibe of the place is cool too! Clean, tidy and well decorated but not ostentatious. Cannot recommend this place enough and am looking forward to my next excuse to return

came in on a cold windy day with my dog. no signs dogs are not allowed. ordered and paid at desk. only then i was ordered to sit outside. i asked my money back, had to wait several minutes asvonly the manager can do so. instead of letting me have a hot chocolste inside in a corner, i stood inside in the middle of it with my dog ...

Charming little TARDIS, amazing food, the chicken was the best I've had in a long time. Highly recommend the chicken shawarma 😋 it was a little confusing when we first arrived, we had a table booked and were lead to the table upstairs but we were asked if we knew what we were eating or needed 5 or 10 minutes, we asked to sit and look at the menu! After a while we realised that she wasn't coming back, that's because she failed to mention we needed to pop downstairs and place our order at the counter. We still had a great time and amazing food so thanks guys, we will be back!

I ordered the vegetable tagine as a takeaway. It was tasty but the tagine portion itself was tiny, which was disappointing! My friend's portion of lamb was bigger but quite dry. The hummus was delicious.

One of the best meals We've e ordered in ages! The meat was tender, the spices just delicious. I was so excited to see Shish Tawook on the menu, I've not had that since I was living in Egypt. It was delicious! We're made up with the quality of the food, such wonderful flavours. This is rapidly becoming our favourite place in town. Top marks! Thank you to everyone at Khalid's, that's made our evening.

Got charged !£25 called the restaurant who said they couldn’t help with refunding /contacting the driver who stole it and then marked it as delivered Whilst I stood on my door step waiting on the phone to the restaurant who said they could not send a replacement or refund me so but encouraged me to re order our dinner assuring me I would 100% get my money back but not with them I explained I simply did not have a another £25 to pay for dinner a second time neither could I risk spending another £25 the
