Been a customer of this place since the 1970s always good food and service, yes ive had lots of food from here .

We always use this Chinese, even since moving across to St Leonard's from Hastings side. Food is always hot and not at all greasy, unlike some Chinese shops we've used in the past. Highly recommend this Chinese take away. 👌 Can't comment on Atmosphere as thry do not have a restaurant. Very friendly over the telephone. Won't use anywhere else.. 5 🌟...

I have tried every Chinese in Hastings and St Leonard’s more than twice and I can honestly say, nothing beats new chop suey house. The food is miles ahead of most and better than all. And the pricing is miles better than all. Fair pricing for tasty food. They aren’t here to rip you off. The service is execptional, they truly appreciate their customers. Free bottle of wine tonight with my meal. If you haven’t tried this place yet or are bored at paying high prices for average food, give this lot a go. You won’t be disappointed. 10/10

Visiting Hastings to see my Mum, we decided to get a local takeaway. I'm so glad we tried this place. Far away the BEST Chinese takeaway I've ever had! The food was not greasy, it was a treat to eat. Well done and thank you for a wonderful meal!

Ordered a takeaway from here. They gave a delivery time and were spot on with the delivery. The food was fabulous- one of the best Chinese meals we’d had Would recommend to anyone wanting a tasty and very reasonably priced Chinese delivered

By far the best Chinese takeaway in the town, not only is the food yummy but they provide a great and personal services always remember me when I place an order (not sure that’s a good thing. Must order to much, but it just too damn good!

We normally use the Magic Wok in Hastings but thought we’d have a change. Wish we hadn’t bothered. The meat was tough and chewy. The rice was sticky, the sauce was watery and weak and all I’ve the food was bland and devoid of flavour. Back to the Magic Wok we go.

Had a takeaway recently ..delivered promptly to winchelsea (£4 delivery charge which is fair) the barbecued ribs were amazing so much meat and tasty sauce probably best I’ve had and I’ve had many ..special fried rice was full of prawn and chicken delicious .chinese style duck very tasty and with a lovely sauce ...as someone who has tried all in rye and surrounding area ..I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending this outlet ...in these days of complaining think it’s nice to give praise where due .,we’ll done new chop suet house ..looking forward to my next delivery

Second review I’ve left. This is the best Chinese take away in town in my opinion. My wife loves Chinese food but I’m not so keen but even I can find a good meal here. Highly recommended

Had a takeaway from chop suey house last night and really enjoyed it we've found that a lot of Chinese takeaway are pretty substandard in Hastings at the moment. The price was good, came when they said it would and was really tasty definitely order again

Best Chinese in Hastings, the gentleman regularly serving is amazing and makes you feel so welcome and is very accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble. I customise dishes to my liking, even the house specials, and they are always more than happy to accommodate. Never had a bad meal in over 10 years of ordering from them. 5* all round. If you are unsure what to order try the house special chow mein and ask for it spicy. If you collect, they are so fast you will be in and out in 5-10 mins at most. Good food, good quality, good price and there’s something for everyone. They even do a selection of English dishes so if you have a few friends over you’ll usually be able to accommodate all and it saves you ordering from different places.

Order from here often. The food is always so good. Always speak to very polite gentleman when I phone in to order. The delivery people are always friendly and on time. The food is always piping hot. Food is absolutely disgusting, when I called to explain the ‘manager’ was very rude! my partner tried to explain that the food tasted burnt and like it had been mixed with chemicals the manager stated he thinks we were trying to fob him off , I said I would box it up and send it back he once again said they wouldn’t refund me and became very rude. I’ve never had such an awful experience and I’ve basically thrown £60 down the toilet! Unbelievable service 😡😡

Food was awful I've never experienced anything that tasted so bad, I couldn't believe the response I got from the so called manager, if he was the manager he needs to return back to collage and learn some customer service skills as they was he spoke to me was disappointing, I will never order from here again and I will ensure to make sure I tell all my friends and family not to eat here, when I told him I didn't appreciate his tone with me he started taking the piss out of where I lived!! The food here is very consistent in its quality. The food is freshly cooked and usually quite fast. There can be a wait at peak times, but never that long. Delivery can also be made. Worst bit is trying to park, lots of yellow lines.

Pedimos una gran variedad de platos y disfrutamos de una muy buena comida. de hecho, tan buenos que tuvimos una segunda chino unos días más tarde, el cual fue igual de bueno. Mención especial para las costillas y satay de pollo.

I think the previous reviewer is mistaken as this is a takeaway and delivery place. Been using it for more than 30 years and still do on a regular basis. The food is always good, the delivery is always fast. Well worth a try. Enjoy!

You have to go down stairs to this restaurant. There was plenty of food which was quite nice. I found it was very plain and cold looking and did not seem very inviting it was ok for familys
