Food is aways cooked fresh and us aways hot we would normally pick up and take home

Superb Chinese especially if you are vege or vegan. They do the best tofu I have ever had. Also all vegetable dishes have a good selection and there are lots of choices. Service is on the phone is super efficient and friendly and delivery is always prompt even at busy times and the food piping hot. The best we have found as vege/vegans in the town.

I liked that place but this was second time Ive got disappointed. Thai food is not Thai at all. Ordered Thai Red Duck Curry. It went with lots of onion and mushrooms. Also I have got too much of a duck skin in my meal. The curry sauce was not good. Also they forgot to put the cutlery so I had to return back. Sorry guys you need some improvement because other branches do well for the same price. Cheers

Service good Delivery good Food not so good. Quite bland and tasteless. Was only just edible and we left half of what we ordered. Vegetables were almost raw, egg fried rice had almost no egg in. We were disappointed

It's alright if you are very hungry

Well, after seeing reviews and pictures, I thought I'd give the roast duck chowmein a spin, and it didn't disappoint. Lovely staff. Very polite young lady at the front desk. Food was done in good time. When I'm back up here from London, this will be my go to Chinese. Big thumbs up from me

Best chinese, super large tasty portions,chef cooks hubby's perfectly as has dietary needs. Please don't change, as finally found a chinese we actually enjoy. Staff at end of phone always helpful and polite. Highly recommended 👌

Staying down at the haven holiday park, drove past one day and as was only a 5min drive from the holiday park went back on the evening. Ordered lots of different items, mixed starter, noodles, rice, chicken curry, salt and pepper chips and salt and pepper chicken m, foo young, everything I ate was tasty, the whole family enjoyed and the portions were generous . If we was ever back in the area we would use again.

Favourite take away. Never been disappointed. Not far from us do pay a little for delivery now but worth it. The special noodles very good.

We have used Golden Wok for 25 years and always been pleased believing them to be the best in the area. Last nights delivery was terrible. Excessive greasy smell immediately ..prawn toasts were greasy on the outside ..not crispy ..and very dry inside with no prawn topping evident at all. Spring rolls were stodgy ..greasy not crispy and dripping with oil. Main pork dish was floating with oil on top. Surprised and very disappointed! Certainly gone down hill. On top of this I tried to discuss it with them today, they were not interested in listening and I was cut off. Do not use! Very rude and attitude of 'so what' if you dare to complain. She actually said 'anything else' and I found it offensive after giving them business for so long. Terrible food and terrible service. £30 wasted. Felt sick tbh and all ended up in the bin.

The telephone was answered quickly and the lady was polite and efficient. The order was ready to collect as soon as I arrived (about 10 mins after ordering). The restaurant was clean although the decor could do with updating. Parking was easy, there's lots of free parking at the roadside outside the restaurant. The food was hot and tasty. We ordered just one item, the beef fried rice. It was plenty enough for a meal for one, cost about £6.50. All in all a good experience.

Lovely chinese food well pleased i found this place, used to drive to east london to get a takeaway when i first moved down this is the best i have tried.

Really nice food and usually great service but this time our delivery driver behaved extremely inappropriately. He was shouting and swearing when I couldnt find the key to open the side door which he knocked on, and stormed off as soon as the food had been payed for. I would reconsider ordering from here again.

Luckily live nearby, very friendly efficient service, freshly cooked food at a very reasonable price. Had a delicious king prawn pad Thai tonight, will definitely order this again. Generous portions, plenty of prawns as well, cannot fault.

Always great food, friendly service and reliable delivery. We have ordered takeaway from here for a number of years and never had a problem with our order. They are also very good at taking dietary requirements into consideration.

Collected a takeaway after a random drive past while hungry, and knowing my hotel restaurant was shut. Singapore Chow Mein was a carbon copy of my usual hometown takeaway, so was pleasantly surprised and please

No exaggeration it's the worst chicken curry I've ever had, greasy and full of oil. Gone in the bin not even ate half. Tenner down the drain Look at the oil on the onions, thrown it away and look at the oil on the plate afterwards.

Best Chinese as far as we’re concerned. Great chow mien. Lovely chop suey. Sweet and sour very good. Shrimp curry good. Lovely meal. Well done golden wok.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would, the service was top notch, from order to delivery, food was still hot, excellent quality, I cannot emphasise this enough the food was fantastic! I would have left a photo but it was so delicious I forgot! I would like to also specifically mention how impressed I was with the driver, he was so polite, extremely professional and managed to find our really awkward address. Also they are extremely accommodating to vegans!

Great service, great food! The lady who takes your order is accommodating and friendly. Always talking through the orders to make sure they are correct. They are also flexible with changes should you need any for dietary requirements. The food is delicious and we have never had any issues from the MANY times we have ordered from here. Delivery is rarely later than they say it will be and the delivery drivers are also friendly.

Fantastic food! Ordered a selection of dishes and was not disappointed! We ordered a takeaway, and popped into the nearby pub whilst the food was cooked.....picked up 20 mins later, and it was absolutely delicious! And proper big Spring rolls, not those weeny things that lots of places seem to make now! Definitely worth a visit - you will not be disappointed.....and lots of Thai dishes as well!

Lovely food Good Standard every time chicken is roasted not gelatine out of a tin like some Chinese. I drive a 6 mile round trip to come here so must be good

i like this Chinese as the chicken they use is the roasted type and not the Gelatin chicken from a tin from god knows where. So as long as they keep using the same type ,i `ll be using them

Just popped here for a late Chinese take away meal and was very pleasantly surprised. The lady was extremely friendly and helpful and took the Covid restrictions very seriously. The food was cooked freshly and was hot in food portions - see photos. Definitely recommend here and probably the best in Hastings. They take credit cards without an issue. The staff speak excellent English unlike some local Chinese restaurants and have a ‘5’ hygiene rating as well. Do try it here and support them. Enjoy.

First time ordering from Golden Wok...cannot recommend enough..very friendly...food was extremely tasty. Arrived very quickly and food was hot. Will not go anywhere else now.

Best Chinese food I've had in a long time

We had Two Take Aways during our week in Hastings. Delicious food and good portions!

Good value for money. Best of all the Chinese takeaways that we have tried around this area. Every dish we have tried has been nice. Staff lovely. Would definitely recommend this Chinese takeaway.

Me and my boyfriend were looking for a place where we could get a chinese takeout that was suitable for vegans without the major hassle of explaining what that means etc we were recommended this place on a vegan group on Facebook, and I have to say it was absolutely amazing! The woman on the phone was so helpful and it was so easy to order. We ordered a whole bunch of food and had zero complaints with any of it. They even did mock-meat dishes which is an added treat! Nothing but good words to say about this place and we will definitely be ordering from there again :)

Good priced and hot when delivered. Food was amazing, especially their shredded chilli beef.

Had a meal from here tonight, I decided to have the Meal for one (B) which is sweet and sour chicken hong kong style and egg fried rice. Portions are a fair size and not for the faint hearted, So much so I havent even attempted the large spring roll that came with the meal. Staff are friendly, premises look clean and tidy.

I thought i would give this a try from reviews chicken balls really greasy not a lot of chicken pancake rolls the same had the red thai curry which was too sweet my take away cost me £18.60 and its now in my bin . Much better takeaways .

I was staying at the coombe haven site so decided on a chinese this night , had to collect our order by the main gates they rang to say they would be a few moments , lovely staff very pollite happy to help and the food was totally amazing I wish I lived closer as this Chinese was the best I've ever tasted and the price was great too, I think I will go back to coombe haven just for the Chinese

Staying at Combe Haven decided to order a Chinese takeaway. Didn't have to wait long the food was delicious very tasty and not too pricey!

Ordered from the Golden Wok on Bexhill road in St.Leonards on sea when down on the coast to see Eastbourne Airshow.I was staying at the Combe Haven holiday park and had the food delivered to the main entrance (The park won't let anyone deliver direct to the caravans, I think it's because they have their own resturants on site). When I phoned I was greeted by a lovely women who was more then happy to deal with my complicated order (3 fussy children, a vegan, a vegetarian and my husband who won't touch most veg). It was a Saturday in the middle of the Summer holidays and the park and everywhere else was rammed with holiday makers so I thought it would take an hour for the food to arrive but I was told on the phone it would only take about 45 mins. I asked if we could pay by card and they gave the delivery driver their wireless machine, thankfully it took contactless as my mother forgot her pin number. The delivery driver showed up after 40 mins of me making the order and they phoned before they arrived which was helpful.The food was lovely, good portion sizes and well priced. I wish we had this place where I live. It's £4.50 for sweet and sour chicken balls and £4.30 for chicken chow mein, which is cheaper then the place by where we live. My children actually ate their food without complaining and even tried some new things. They all gobbled down their food and made me promise that if we are ever in the area again we order from there again. 5 Stars

we have ordered twice since new owners and have to say very much improved food tastes much better the customer waiting area cleaner and having a recent 5 star hygeine rating from council even better will be ordering again next time we visit hastings.

Cuando nos llamó para quejarse no interesados en lo más mínimo y sólo dijeron que no podían hacer nada. Mucho fui a la papelera no se desperdicio de dinero de vuelta completa

Had food from here before and when it was the Imperial Chef..always OK but last night it was awful. Noodles one soggy overcooked mass with texture of tinned spaghetti as if had been boiled but not seen a wok...tasteless and horrible. Sweet and sour balls had really thick battery which was also soggy but raw uncooked dough on inside which was inedible. ..shall not use again.

The black bean sauce tofu was excellent, as were the vegetarian singapore noodles I requested (off menu) Very good value, very fast delivery. 6 thumbs up
