OMG - just had a chicken burger - the chicken was almost cremated - god knows how many times it was cooked today! The bun was stale, vile - finished off with a squirt of mayo and NO other filling lettuce etc - I can only assume they ran out - I don’t use KFC very often adm tonight I was reminded why!

Went here for lunch at drive through with two teenagers. Got handed my order in a big (bag) no issue. Missing straw, no sauces (after ordering them) and ended up pulling huge black hair out of mouth from a piece of chicken. Minging. Thanks for that

Used drive through. 3 people took my order which took them about 10 mins to process. I was then told to wait in car park and that they’d bring food to me… 25 mins later I went in to ask where it was. I was greeted with a very rude staff member who said, “it’ll take as long as it takes”. 5 or 6 other cars were left in car park sitting waiting same length of time. Also, 3 or 4 staff members stood around doing nothing. Uber/Deliveroo drivers prioritised over anyone else.

Absolutely disgusting quality food. I bought 3 takeaway meals today and opened it 5 minutes later after driving away. Cold food, dry soggy chicken, tasteless and items missing from my meal. This outlet is clearly well below the usually high KFC standards. It was my mums first KFC ever and probably her last. If I needed dog food, I’d have gone to a pet shop. KFC corporate would do well to audit and investigate. Truly awful.

atitude from staff whilst manager watched on was a disgrace. i questioned something on my bill to be told by member of staff she does not have to tell me that, i questioned that and said she should, to a response of no i dont and wont, i said her atitude was out of order speaking to a customer like she did with all staff and manager watching on.i left store fuming to a response of bye bye from the member of staff will never use again

Credits where it’s due, we had given up on using this KFC years ago due to constant problems, no chicken or buns being two of them! Anyhow, our son fancied a boneless chicken meal for one. The queue was larger than it used to be as fans of KFC got a chance post lockdown to have their favourite but it was well managed, served quickly and politely and one happy son!

Ordered a 8pc Boneless Feast with Fanta tango, x2 fries, x4 corn cobette and beans. £22.89 in total through Just eat. They delivered the side dishes only... No chicken at all just fries corn on cobette and the beans arrived. You'd believe no one is that stupid to leave out the main part of this meal, the chicken. But they did, no re delivery and no cash back through just eat. And to add insult they put a sticker on the box saying checked and sealed. As you do these days, venting anger via Facebook. And the replies I got saying the same thing happened to many friends over the last few weeks wrong orders or half the orders missing. Come on KFC up your game you're getting left in the dust with other major fast food outlets... Id like to say your staff need training but you cannot fix stupidity. Seems like you are loosing a lot of regular customers. Once this period of mass online orders passes due to Covid-19 I'm sure you'll not be as busy in South shields.

Waiting times at the till can be a pain I've walked out more lately than I have waited to get served 3 waits over 25 mins to place order was always good at drive thro never much of a bother cpl messed up orders wrong sides but nowt major but drive thro is pretty busy and a few deliveroo guys pick up orders it seems the drive thro and the take away is adversely affecting the service to the walk in and restaurant drive through is normally quite quick but check order before you get too far from the place in case of mistakes which can happen

My 2 children decided they wanted a treat and chose KFC. Ordered at drive through. Collection window had an argument between themselves regarding order. Missing 4 items off an order that had maybe 10 items on it. Eventually got right order to discover kids meal had about 10 chips in and 5 popcorn chicken and mini fillet burgers were stone cold. Will not be going back.

Visited last night waited over 40 mins to be served as the staff were too busy serving just eat orders, even some of the poor delivery drivers were waiting nearly an hour for their food. The tables were dirty and bins over flowing. They had lots of disgruntled customers waiting to be served.

Not only do they run riot in macdonalds they and their family’s have started doing it in KFC numerous visits I have nearly been knocked over by off road bikes trying to go through the drive through and cars on entrance and exit they obviously eat like pigs in the house too tables left unclean with beans all over the kids see it as some sort of social hangout climbing on seats like monkeys and not to mention the no sugar thing where you can only now get Pepsi max most of the time which only accommodates kids which has now made me a in and out customer spoils what is / was a well designed outlet

Have been to this KFC on quite a lot of occasions. I will not be going back there any time soon. The place always seems dirty and not hygienic. But this recent visit every single table was dirty and covered. They were not busy at all and all the staff kept hanging behind the counter. The floors were wet with no wet floor signs by the spillage. Also had purchased an ice cream to collect after eating meal. None of the staff were acknowledging me and kept turning their backs on me and other customers. No communication to the customers who were stood trying to speak to the staff. This place has now gone to very low levels. Someone in management needs to get performance of this store back into shape. Also the customer service seems to be seriously lacking.

Decided on a spur of the moment thing to get a KFC from our local branch. After stating I wanted a Fillet burger without salad and sauce they still managed to serve me with one that had both lettuce and sauce on it. This would have been fine if I liked the sauce. On top of this I noticed that the member of staff cooking food out the back in the kitchen dropped the serving tongs onto the floor then picked them up and continued using them.

Our daughter wanted a treat to be brought into hospital where she’d just had a baby. She sent us a text with 2 types of adult meals and one child’s meal deal. The staff were pleasant enough but they didn’t have buns for burger meals, hash browns for another meal, no this or that and then not even paper bags to put the cutlery, condiments and serviettes in. Whoever was in charge wants to shake their head, it was a Good Friday and wasn’t even busy. Surely if they were desperate for buns they could have gone next door to Iceland or Aldi. No wonder we rarely go here, rubbish.

Food was good and hot, issues are only one person serving at the counter, a very happy and helpful member of staff I must say. You could see there was plenty of others team members around but no one helped to serve the 17 people in the queue which went all the way to the door. Also each time I have been to this KFC it is freezing cold inside to the point I had to sit with my coat on.

We have been visiting KFC Chichester Rd South Shields once a week for several months now as a treat for our 7 yr old grandson. We call in about 5pm and on nearly every occasion the tables and floor have been dirty . We usually have to ask a member of staff to wipe the table down before we can start our meal. Even with the tables clean, there is food left in the crevices on some of the seats and quite often we have to watch where we place our feet as the floor is littered with chips and other debris. The service is usually satisfactory although there is usually a queue, probably due to the establishment being understaffed. Today I ordered a plain chicken burger in a plain bun but was brought a burger in a bun and a separate plain bun. I pointed out the mistake to the member of staff who served me who begrudgingly disappeared for a short while and then returned with just the burger ( in the bun ). No apologies or explanation. I pointed out that I had been charged for the bun ( which I no longer had ) whereupon the staff member went to the till, refunded me the cost of the bun without a word being said. Deplorable service.Some of the seats have the padding pulled off and today 1 stool and no covering at all, revealing the foam padding for the seat. The place is a shambles - something drastic needs to be done. Where is the management, is there any quality control at this outlet ?

Visited Kfc for the first time in years today went to the branch on Chichester Road the public area was clean and looked well kept the staff were polite and friendly and my order was delivered post haste. I have to say it was exceptionally tasty, I went for the original chicken in a bun it tasted just as good as the first time I tried Kfc many many years ago. I will visit again when I feel the need for a nostalgic treat

As KFCs go, the food here is usually rather good. I usually use the drive though on a lazy evening. However, there have been numerous times when items from my order have been missing and I've not realised until I've got home. They do usually mark the missing bits down in a book and give you a code number to collect at a later date, but it's always disappointing when you have a room full of kids looking forward to their treats. That said, the last 2 visits have been error free so hopefully that have their act together now

I have had so many experiences of poor service and very poor food.I only keep going back because of my Son.Foods never ready, machinery always broken, they hold cars at the window rather than putting them in the grill parking bays which just holds everything up and the staff attitude is sometimes quite appalling!

Decided to take the family to South Shields KFC at 6pm on a Monday and the place was shutting , as loads of cars were driving through the drive thru I assumed it was open ,the shutters were half up and the staff ignored people driving through. It's about 8 years since I have been to this KFC as it was poor then and it will be another 8 before I go back . I am surprised the KFC authorities have not shut it down.

Walked into KFC today to find around 12 people standing around waiting for their orders!! Only one member of staff on the till with a miserable look on his face! So I placed my order and went of to find a table, bearing in mind the place was pretty empty (bar the people waiting for orders) but half of the tables were full of leftovers...we picked a table that we saw had just been 'cleaned' haha - cleaned meaning a quick wipe!! Chairs were full of crumbs and the floor underneath was pretty much the same..it took about 10 mins or so for our food to be ready- chicken was hot but the chips were freezing!!So whilst eating our food we were having a look around the place, there was one young lad out the front of the restaurant doing the 'cleaning' - looked like he'd never cleaned up a day in his life!! He was moving the trays off the tables then swanning about\ taking orders out to waiting customers in cars instead of coming straight back to wipe the tables, so the tables were left full of salt\ crumbs\chip ends etc...the bins needed emptying and a thorough wipe, the floor needed a thorough sweep and wash, the restaurant looked very dirty indeed. We witnesses customers wiping salt\crumbs etc off their seats before sitting down!!I won't be visiting again in a hurry - not a patch on the service and cleanliness that McDonalds offer!!!I also want to touch on The music!! It was dreadful!! Id rather have none playing than that aweful racket!!! And no im not an old person saying that im only 32!! It was like something from a shop abroad!!It was freezing inside - think it was warmer outside.It looks like the place could've been short staffed and it really showed....hire more kitchen staff so food is ready sooner and more cleaning staff so the place is more presentable!!!Customer service and attention to detail is very important and unfortunately the restaurant lacks both

After having a lovely family visit to the beach, I decided to treat my wife & 3 children to a sit in KFC. When we entered the restaurant there where a few people there my wife and I placed our order while waiting I decided to find a table for use to sit at. As I walked around looking I noticed the lack of hygiene. There was rubbish on a lot of the tables. None of the tables were clean the floor was filthy it was a really unhealthy environment to be in. Never the less we managed to get seated. Not one bit happy when we finished eating I cleared our rubbish to put it in the bin to find all the bins where full and overflowing with waste I couldn't contain myself and asked to see the manager. His response was they where under staffed and they hadn't got round to cleaning up. I found this unacceptable if they can't clean it it shouldn't be open sorry KFC not good enough

It was only after we had driven home we realised that TWO of the items were missing... so although we were too tired to go straight back and complain I made a phonecall and pointed out their error.To be fair the young lad was honest enough, apparently a new Junior Manager, and apologised. He offered to replace the meals and we said we would be there to collect them next time we were passing. We described exactly what we had ordered.Next time we were passing... I pulled up, gave the code... and the woman at the window said, "No - you have to come in for complaints"... Having just recovered from a severe chest infection and with a bandage on one of my legs I was less than impressed but, not daring to go home without tea I parked up...I reported to the counter, gave the code, and a full list of the meals that were due.UNBELIEVABLE - upon getting home, and even though this was the "So Sorry We Made A Mistake" order they had forgotten the sauces for one meal and the fries for another!! Kids were understandably upset.Not been back since. Didn't even bother to complain.

We visited this kfc on a Monday lunchtime during half term. Any establishment that children like would obviously be busy at lunchtime when the schools are closed. So why only have one server? The queue was ridiculous. My order was wrong. Out of the last six orders I've had, five have had to be corrected with either the wrong sauce, drinks or sides. I appreciate that fast food places don't employ the most enthusiastic or mentally endowed, but surely the service should be better than this.

Recently I visited KFC in South Shields to purchase a Krushem for a relative in hospital and was told by a member of staff that they were unavailable because the machine was "knackered". No matter I thought, things do breakdown but felt confident the machine would be fixed the next day, but when I returned the following day I was told the same thing.Foolishly I tried again over the next 2 days only to be told on both occasions that the machine was out of order. So I left it for a couple of days and then returned exactly a week after I first tried to buy a Krushem and was told the same thing yet again!I've now given the whole thing up as a bad job and will no longer be frequenting KFC in South Shields.

We are lucky enough yo live near a few take aways and restaurants but we keep comming back to this one. The food is always piping hot and on the rare occasion there is something that is not 100%, the staff are very keen to put it right streight away for you. The restaurant is nice and clean. In the winter the air con could be turned down a little but instead of sitting freezing, just ask, they will sort it out for you. All in all, a fab KFC!

Absolutely Amazing quality! Tried the special of the week which was the Stackz King, and the Honey Chilli Chicken Filletz and nothing dissapointed! The fries were crispy, the burger was huge, but left me wishing my stomach was bigger so I could have more. Their portions are very good value for money, perfect for a treat for the family or Lunch by yourself

Came all the way from peterlee for this street food, By far the best burger I’ve ever had in my life. Worth the drive and most definitely be back. Staff are excellent and very helpful Definitely recommend !
