Good food, good service. But the prices are an absolute disgrace. Stinks of profiteering. Will avoid in future.

Waited 35 minutes for the takeout order, even thought the restaurant wasn't busy.

I like KFC but didn't enjoy it here.

Lovely place, lovely food and the staff

Table and chairs are really dirty and sticky. Cleaning staff are lazy and don’t do anything just setting in the corner and watching people.

Stopped off here on the way home. We were both starving so bought a chicken and chips bucket to scoff in the car on the way. Ideal as we both couldn't be bothered to cook by the time we would get home. Food was decent. The only gripe I'd make as there were no salt sachets or wipes put in. Have they stopped doing that to save costs I wonder? Definitely could have done with a bit more salt on the chips.

Would have given 0 zero stars because guess what - no food no nothing - why? Well, because on the KFC app this is Membury M4 Southbound but as the lovely chap at Kfc told me its actually the northbound one on the app (which course makes total sense on a east to west motorway 😂) and while he was lovely there was nothing he could do.. but he helpfully mentioned many people complain. Fix it, KFC!

Coach stopped off for 50mins We all went for a comfort break .. Then we had a look around .. some bought drinks some added food . Well run place ..clean .. KFC was lovely the staff were brilliant.. nice n clean and reasonably fast ..

Busy noisy typical motorway service area.

Decent number of eating places. If you want a subway or noodles you have to cross over the bridge (if you park west bound). Bridge is not easy to find and it will be a 5 min walk.

When I visited the order point wouldn't accept my KFC app, so you won't get any rewards or discounts here.

Clean, relaxing, fast, good food. What more can you ask for

Lovely fresh hot chicken out of the oven. Staff were really nice.

Touch menu select but quick service. Mostly everything freshly cooked due to high turnover. Above average KFC 🍗

The service we received from Royce was shocking. She seemed to be having a flirtation which distracted her. We had to repeat our drinks order 3 times, and when we asked for straws we were advised they were in the take-away packet. When we opened the packet as we drove off, no straws AND we were a portion of chips short!

So when I ordered the machine refused to give me a receipt, so after this inconvenience we proceeded to wait for our order. After some time passed our order number had not yet appeared so I went to enquire, and was greeted with a rude and unpleasant tone “YOUR VEGAN IS COOKING SO WILL TAKE ITS TIME” as a vegan I feel insulted and in 2023 this is UNCACCEPTABLE. I then said “I was only asking as my number wasn’t on screen. She replied with “Yh” in a dull tone. You thought I was done oh no no no. She then indicated to me my order was done with a nod, and put my box meal in a puddle of water on the counter leaving it soggy. I then asked for a straw and she said “straw in your box” angrily. My gravy is watery my vegan burger is raw. NOT HAPPY.

Membury services not much to expect. Over priced and lacking the quality of food. The owners/directors should go visit some of the service areas in Europe and hang their heads in shame, unfortunately these days profit out ways service in the UK.

Great all machines to select and pay at, as it was quiet, got served within minutes by a helpful staff member who gave me water instead of the fizzy I 'had' to have with my meal deal! Marked food down as the fries were awful soft fat fries type but full marks for the lovely flat and round dip container which I could dip my chicken in comfortably!

Everytime I order from any KFC, there's something that's been deep fried that shouldn't be. Last time, an amorphous grey gelatinous blob mage me throw up so I give up & will no longer get food from KFC.

Awful experience at this KFC, food nasty and greasy as ever and we only went in because we had a £10 customer care voucher which the staff would not let us use even though it clearly stated in the T’s and C’s that this branch was covered. Staff had no idea and were quite dismissive. Wasted journey.

poor from start to finish. No receipt paper on the self service screen, 3 of 4 drinks were all soda with no syrup, what about straws ? shouldn't need to ask for them... serviettes ? ketchup for each serving ? nah, kfc doesn't do that. all dispensed by moody, insolent serving staff. oh and the seating, a grubby small area shared between 4 outlets.

Don't work with KFC APP , a bit disappointed !

Purchased a Zinger meal and staff refused to give me a cup of tea for my chosen drink, saying I could only have Pepsi ! I then had to pay extra to buy a cup of tea. Not impressed ….this doesn’t happen at any other KFC I’ve eaten at.

Very miserable place. Took over 15mins to receive food. It was dripping with oil. I know its fast food but I don't expect this when paying over a tenner for a meal.

Typical rest area restaurant. Fast service but dont be confused to order with the screen because sometimes people will go to wrong screens which belong to Burger King. Nothing special, at least they gave me some sachets of ketchup

The staff were nice but the premises not accessible for disabled people. There's an escalator going up to KFC but only stairs going down. I have a flare-up whenever I consume sugar substitutes and KFC only had the sugar free option of pepsi.

Awful service, only realised they gave me the wrong burger and minimum chips when I got back to my car. Also the gentlemen serving me huffed and puffed when I asked for ketchup. It’s a service station so I wasn’t expecting much just at least give me what I ordered.

States opens at 11, Opening hours updated 5 days ago by the business, but turned up at 11:20 and told there were still shut. Would be at least another 20mins before they open.

Shocking tbh Rude staff. Asked if there was staws anywhere. In your bag was the reply. Nope no straw. Sod I'm a big boy and can use a cup. I get 2 miles up the road and the wife goes to pass me some fries. No bloody fries to did in my gravy. It's nit that hard to look at a list and get 5 items you ordered right And my mini fillet burger looked like it had done a few rounds with Mike Tyson

Store shut 30 minutes before closing time, employee had claimed they had no chicken left. Then realised this was a lie when I questioned it, manager had said they’re closing early as low staff though there was 3 members in (How many do you need?) Seems this is a common thing so if you’re looking to pop into this KFC on a drive back home late then don’t get your hopes up. Just to add a guy from burger king was saying to the manager of KFC “naughty, naughty” a few times and I overheard the Burger King guys say they’ve closed early again. Can’t comment on the food as didn’t make it that far but as service goes seems lazy and dull.

M4 was shut for just under 3 hours today being a lorry driver running out of time on a 15 hour day Membury was my parking stop for the night walked into KFC just before 20:30 long que took total of just over 30 minutes from queuing for the self order machine to get my order. Those staff worked their hearts out to make sure food was served to everyone as fast as could be and up to standard I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and they deserve a great big thanks for their hard work tonight well done guys most appreciated ⭐️

food is not as nice as expected or KFC standard

I popped in that above kfc today and purchased 2 x hot wings buckets with two sides by the time of 17:00:17. But when I opened the buckets at home, I found 19each in both buckets (not 20) and only 03 leg wings and rest of all 35 were small side wings. It’s totally unfair to sell and forced to eat people 99% of these tiny side wings. If you refer wings, that will be leg wings as standard but not side wings. Because side wings is least chicken covered by full of skins. It make some sense if they add 50/50 leg wings and side wings in correct quantity as it comes under a certain offer. I spent £14.47 to eat 35 tiny side wings plus only 03 leg wings and I ended up with huge dissatisfaction with ate nothing.

Can't comment on the food as first time the staff were so woefully slow that I gave up waiting and went to Burger King next door where I was served quickly and efficiently. Second time they were closed so it's back to Burger king again.

Enjoy calling into here, good food and great service. The meals are hot and freshly prepared as with other KFC franchises, but somehow seem better quality here, maybe just our preference! Pleasant spacious eating area which have always found clean & tidy, the staff are friendly & efficient, just wish the opening hours were a little later in the evenings at weekends!

Standard food no surprises there, however very expensive. Just because its a service station shouldn't mean the blatant disregard for the consumer

Good food as usual, and quick service. Just a shame that they don't cover the loyalty scheme like other restaurants. Would've been really nice to have gotten something on the app that ended up not being on the menu. Wasn't disappointed with the result though, plus, the staff were very friendly and understanding. You can still always get your stamp collected there, which is alright in my book.

Average at best. Nothing too wrong but nothing too right either. A completey indifferent experience.

8 year old thinks boneless dippers meal is amazing. I am personally still in mourning for the loss of chicken Tuesday... unconsolable...

They automated machines now they didn't work kept trying but couldn't pay for the order so left without eating still hungry.

Food are fresh, chicken very tasty but service rather slow as there were one staff at the counter and the other in the kitchen. Time of visit at about 10:30am. This branch can do with more staff in the morning. I wasn't around later in the day to check if more staff members have reported for duty.

Awful staff, management, so rude, food was warm, never go back there. They love to close half of the restaurant an hour before closing time how ridiculous.. absolutely disgusted bin staffs behaviour, definitely need change of management.

3 people working at the front but not serving anyone. Very slow. Takes over 5 mins waiting when your next or second waiting.

Possibly the worst KFC in Britain, often pop in here when heading to Heathrow, there's always a big queue and always items on the menu not available.

If you don't mind waiting over half an hour for cold chicken, then I guess it's alright.

Fantastic. Had the best fillet burrito I’ve ever had here! It took a few minutes but the burrito was piping hot and the chicken was lovely! The staff kept apologising for the wait (judging by the reviews I’d say a lot of impatient people eat here) but were friendly and clearly appreciated a smile and a “don’t worry about it, there’s no rush” from me! Will be eating here everytime I travel this way!

Service was good and quick, Zinger Twister hot and tasty. Fries 🍟 as good as any KFC. Blackcurrant drink was wet and cold and quenched my thirst but was a bit watery and lacked a flavour punch.

To say that chicken in this KFC is awful is an understatement! I ordered a Mighty Bucket for One and the only edible things were chicken fillets. Chicken drum looked huge when I picked it up but it was super light. When I poked the crust it revealed a 2cm hole exposing a bone with about 1cm thickness of chicken on it. I’ve never ever seen such drums in my life, not even in a supermarket! The chef at this KFC must be a real magician! They sell food which clearly should not be sold and what’s even more impressive – they make it look presentable! I had some skinny chicken wings in my time but these were something else! I am not a big guy and normally this meal really fills me up, however on this occasion I was still hungry. The chef really has to work on his chip cooking techniques because unlike chicken these tasted and looked pretty bad. If I was visiting this KFC in the summer, I would probably substitute these for raw potatoes from a nearby field! And to add insult to an injury I was told that there is no ketchup or mayo in this KFC. Seriously? What’s the world coming to?

One of the better kfc. Chicken on point and changed regularally. Issues with slowness etc seem to have been rectified.
