Staff member working the till, buffed-up lad, was quite rude and aggressive. Though appreciate they're probably overworked and tired.

All part of the Moto-shambles. Can't even get a coffee driving late. So much for motorway 'services'! The only concern here is to scam as much dosh out of each motorist who has been unfortunate enough to have to pull in here. I'll now be avoiding Moto stations altogether.

I'm not sure on food, I didn't order any that's why there is a mark down. However, the woman who made my drink noticed me before the till server did. I ordered my drink and by the time I finished paying my drink was ready. I wish I got this woman's name because she was helpful, cheery, speedy and she made my drink to perfection. I just wanted to compliment her rather than the establishment. 10/10

Poor service. Do not order on the app or you are at the back of the queue. Run by teenagers who are more interested in chatting to each other than serving customers.

Have to agree with comments about how rude the staff are. Stood waiting to order while the staff are cashing up & ignored even when I come forward to ask to order. I understand some concentration is required to cash up, but you can still acknowledge someone's presence. Sort of the main point of a customer service job.

Coffee was cold and had a weird flavour to it nothing like my normal

Barista noticed I was waiting and asked for my order despite finishing up someone else's drink. Great use of time :) She helped me get the big treat I was after to keep me going and was very kind and gentle in her manner. Unknown to her at this time I was travelling back from a funeral which had scattered my coffee ordering ability to a mumble. Massive thank you for excellent customer service and humanity at a time it was truly needed.

Coffee fine but rudeness of staff overwhelming. “Stand over there” to disabled customer waiting for her coffee to be served. Where do they get their staff from?

I visited Reading Services East on a Thursday morning and decided to get my favourite coffee from the Costa. As I parked up I ordered on the app to click and collect. Ten minutes later I asked at the counter if my coffee was in sight. Without apology I was told that as it was busy they couldn't see click and collect orders and they would check. It was then promptly made and handed over again without any apologies, greeting or chat. Awful service. Great coffee. Despite three serving areas, just two staff on at 11.20am with a queue of around 10. Avoid at all costs.

The service was good, the drinks were fine, but the cakes were stale. One of our cakes was absolutely rock solid. We took it back and they happily swapped it for a fresh one but it shouldn't have been allowed to get that stale in the first place. Sadly the whole service area is probably the worst I have ever stopped at - filthy high chairs, lack of seating, disgusting toilets... Stop somewhere else!

Coffee was quite good. Had a.slice of chocolate caramelised loaf cake. It was stale. Best avoid cakes at costa coffee

Drive through but great service and good coffee also tasty bagel.

Ellie and Jasmine were really helpful. I ordered the wrong drink and they helped me choose another one. Also they didn’t have the drink I wanted but they made me a very similar one. We ended up here because the drive through was rude.

Good coffee and a baguette plus a comfortable place to sit

They charged me £5.60 for a medium frappe, which I ended up asking for coffee inside. Eventually got it, and it didn’t even have coffee in. The service was really slow. You’d think for £5.60 you’d get what you asked for.

I normally avoid Costa but needs must on a 6 hour motorway journey. Got a great cup of early grey tea, free warm milk for the kids and kind, friendly service from a server named Soya. I was grateful for all three of these things - thank you Costa Reading West

Coffee was the worst in my life! Staff much loud and unprofessional. They make jokes between each other, loudly laugh and ignore the customers. I do not recommend at all. Shame cannot give 0 stars.

Wanted a hot drink to go with the Greggs sausage rolls we bought on site. Ordered a cappuccino and a tea. Asked for a proper cup rather than the card takeaway containers. Was told they didn’t have large cups but there were clearly several on the top of the coffee machine ( there were also many dirty cups on tables that had not been cleared). I took one of the cups off of the machine and asked that that be used. I was told, in a very rude and shouty way, that I should have asked for a proper cup when I placed the order. My tea was made first and it was taking some time to make the coffee so I fished out the teabag from the cup, as I don’t like over strong tea. There was nowhere to put the teabag so I reached behind the server and placed it in the bin. This was given a disgusted look and hands on the hips like I had done something unforgivable. Sorry I’m the customer and I don’t think I asked too much. Avoid if you can

Dont do hot food, a sandwich mid latte charges you £8.96, serves cold coffee, pure looters.

Just bought a coffee at this place. 3 members of staff chatting and laughing in between customers and the place is a mess. Disgusting. Poor attitude too. Not good.

one staff looks like he didnt want to be there. and one female staff was very rude, when i had to return my drink because the cream tasted gone off (i tasted the cream and it was warm and lightly sour). she asked if i wanted cream in the new one, i said "if you got a new one, then yes please". she hurled the drink in the bin and it splattered on the wall. then proceeded to grumble and complain that "the cream was fresh" and something about 'demanding', then cleaned up the mess she made. i dont understand why i felt like its my fault for returning my drink and asking for a new one. i know they're busy but serving spoiled products is not a great idea. what's interesting is that THEY STILL SOLD CREAM TO CUSTOMERS WITHOUT CHECKING FIRST. hope the customers you served the cream to wont have tummy pains.

The most awful coffee I have had. Second time around just as bad. I don’t know what they do to make it taste so awful. More like hint of coffee. Had plenty of instant coffee better that this.

Today at 11pm when the seller was with friends I was refused coffee. He said it was closed. After a while, I noticed that he was serving other clients. A very sad situation. And when I got back and his friends were gone, he started serving other clients. When I came over he was scared and said it was already open. He did not want to give the number to the manager. 

A menú with only coffe,no water or any other drink beside the listing. Iced coffee is horrible and no sugar..

We used drive thru , when we order everything we want is not available

Staff were trying to close early this evening and wouldn’t serve my pregnant wife. Staff in other shops said they shouldn’t be closing that early. Seems they do this all the time.

DONT, JUST DONT, this place and staff give costa a really bad name, they cant make a basic americano with milk, the staff and costa coffee should be ashamed of themselves, i asked for cup holders and was given a costa plastic tray to take home with me!? not fair when they are charging outragous prices. was served by catarina who is extremely rude and needs basic training on how to make a tea and coffee to start, then if she is feeling confident move her on to the other drinks.

2 stars for my visit on 23/12. Ordered a hazelnut soy latte. There was zero hazelnut syrup added and though I ordered a large, my cup was just over half full. In other words I paid for half a latte and by the time I realised, Im already on the motorway. Literally only getting a second star because service was quick, but there might lay the problem… Fix up… I know how amazing Costa can be!

Nice proper tea, and thoughtful to give me milk in a mini cup which I could also use to put my tea bag in on the road once it had brewed. Thank you.

I usually don't write any reviews but I really couldn't resist writing for this one. Costa is normally really good love their coffee and hot chocolate, however this one was just horrible and the service was so bad. After a long drive I was exhausted stopped to grab some coffee. I was waiting on the line then i see The girl is eye rolling and speaking rudely with the customers and the guy looked like he didn't know what he was doing. come on Costa I know you guys can do better than this! GIVE THESE PEOPLE SOME TRAINING... very dissapointed!!!

One of the slowest Costa's I've ever been too. Two staff both serving the same customer at a time. Two teas took 25 minutes.

The people making the coffee where friendly and made a nice coffee. The "manager - Jakub" was extremely rude, constantly walking away from the till and distracting the people making the coffee, he was not greeting customers, constantly coming from behind the covid barrier to "listen" to customers and leaning very close. The tables where not clean lots having food and liquid still on them, there where two tables that had food all over the floor not cleaned up since before we turned up (30mins)

Useless! I'm sorry ladies but it seems like you can't cope when it's busy and that's just upsetting. After waiting nearly 10min for my toasted sandwich you gave it away to someone else and I got fish I'm allergic to. Couldn't bother to wait another 10min for next sandwich... There were like 6 staff and still couldn't cope with it all. Sad

Huge area to sit safely. The coffee was ok nothing special. I tried the chocolate slice for the first time and wasn't very impressed with it. However it was vegan and. liked that part. Product availability wasn't 100%. But the stuffs were really nice and hard working. They tried to look for an item inside as it wasn't available on display. 👏👏

Rather crowded service area but everyone wearing masks.

Costa is normally really good and on the ball. But this service station costa was like watching slow-mo. Took 20 minutes for 3 couples in front and ourselves to get served. Every other persons drink was wrong. Staff not wearing masks properly during COVID and our drinks were not made correctly. Ordered 2 salted caramel frostinos with coffee and cream but was served without the usual caramel crunch and salted- caramel syrup. Not worth the price or time, disappointed.

Starting to feel very letdown by this Costa in the services. The lack of taste of the carmel latte and honeycomb latte seems to be a repeat problem.

Good coffee, there are two stations so it doesn't get too crowded with small space outside.

£2.40 for a bottle of water... Sort yourselves out.. crooks

Good quality cup of coffee served by a friendly barista in an actual cup rather than paper. A good selection of tasty treats available to accompany your drinks we opted for a Sicilian lemon tart and a chocolate chip shortbread they were a welcome addition to our flat whites there's also a selection of comfortable chairs in which to relax a nice touch when taking a break from a long journey Don't forget to use the moto app when ordering as it usually gives a 20% discount making the prices far more reasonable

Not keen today latte was more like a flat white, service was more miss than hit, shame really :(

Terrible service. Someone arriving for their shift proceeded to make themselves a toasted sandwich then sat down to watch the others struggle with the long line of customers. Pretty sure one of the 2 lads (Igor?) working had taken a tab of acid as he flitted around ignoring customers with his mad stare. Eventually he took down my order correctly on the 3rd attempt. The other worker seemed similarly detached from reality lacking any sense of urgency. He then made our coffees (not sure of he'd used the coffee machine before) which were rubbish. They didnt stock chai latte and had no lactose free milk so we might as well have got it from the machine in WH Smith and saved the 25 minute wait.

Customer service it’s a joke at the main stand , look like nobody was in charge , slow and the worst was after a customer ask them something they start to speak in they’re foreign language, polish, which I find it rude and unprofessional

Usual standard of coffee from Costa, but actually a little better here (how do some Costas manage to add just a little more flavour?). Would have got five stars, but, typically of motorway service locations, cleanliness was just a little lacking.

The worst Costa ever. Double espresso and flat white absolutely awful, flat white was more a hot milk with no coffee at all!

Probably the best frapp I've had. Hardly surprising as frapp is actually short of frappton mallet, a nearby village where the frappucino was first thought up. Good pub good beer nice good nice people beer was good David Gray was on the jukebox. Keep out our Theresa May thanks

Forced to go here and drink burnt weak coffee.

Placed an order for Cappuccino and got a cup of milk and may be two or three drops of low quality coffee extract. Returned it . Seems Greg’s coffee is better than Costa.Did not get refund. Please be aware you have the right to return even if it is consumable food and product doesn’t match its description. It’s so boring to drink Costa now a days. Quality is going down.

Sadly felt obliged to leave a review after having the worst Costa ever here. Friendly staff and clean area warrant the 3 stars but need to retrain on brand standards as a milky tasteless latte is not what I expected from this brand and pricing!

Very under staffed. I am disappointed with businesses getting too big that they no longer care about their customers or struggling staff. These two barista are working as hard as they can but cannot keep up with a long line of people obviously. Costa send help!

Tables cleared fairly quickly for such a busy place. Other than that it was a regular Costa.

Rude stuff, especially Piotr. Cheating on a customer and arguing. Didn't add up points to my loyalty card then claim I didn't give it to him. Rude bloke.

I liked the Costa. It's in the reading services and provides good service and decent coffee. Staff are friendly, efficient and helpful. Good place to stop and have a great coffee and some nice snacks.

Excellent service, Patryk was friendly, polite, professional and very helpful to me.

Cappuccino & Lattes are exactly the same.
