We ordered Takeaway. We love KFC but we haven't been to this particular one for quite some time, despite it being fairly close by, due to the poor service and quality of the food. We decided to give it another chance last night....I wish we hadn't. We had it delivered and it was MISSING A LARGE PART of the order - over £20 worth of food was missing. We tried to ring the restaurant but couldn't get through after lots of tries so we had to request a refund via the Website (which we are obviously still waiting on as it was only last night). The food that we did have wasn't great either - soggy chips and scrappy bits of chicken. We have never had a problem at other KFC's, why this one is so bad I don't know. We certainly won't be giving this KFC any more chances.

I ordered the food through the app and I collected it through the drive-thru and when I got home there was items missing and this ain’t the first time it has happened a lot of times to me. The service is very poor.

It's always pretty spot on here, and I find this is one of the better kfc shops out there

Took my 11 year old here for a treat. Food was fast, served with a smile and hot. The order was accurate too, unlike a number of other fast food outlets that almost always get the orders wrong.

Spent ten minutes only for them to not even realise I had an order. Despite being directed to the kiosk. I don't eat at KFC and now I know why. Rude staff and awful treatment of paying customers. Never again.

Great service. Special credit to a lady that helped my pregnant wife with her order. Saved the day :-) . Food was fresh and tasty. The fries were delicious and the chicken did not dissapoint.

Slow service is the main problem here, restaurant layout doesn't exactly help either. Drive thru is fine though.

We haven't had a KFC in ages and I was disappointed with the fact that we ordered to sit in and we ordered food that looking at the menu should've come in boxes as per advertised in the menu but came in paper bags and a trays of chips in bags? Ok so that shouldn't spoilt the meal right? I had a KFC original piece bucket for 1 and for the price (of nearly a tenner) wasn't worth it for me so really disappointing it will be another long time before I will get the urge for a KFC.

It's a fast food place, don't expect anything special. It's handy end of.

Just received my order from just eat half my order missing what a joke of a place tried calling the restaurant obviously no one answers just eat will refund £5 of my £35 order money making scam!

Much cheaper than the kfc in town centre. Better environment and surrounded by entertainment options.

Absolutely vile from this kfc!. After ordering food from the restaurant and sitting down to eat it my partner walked into the men’s toilets where he found himself looking at a deliveroo driver of ethnicity and he was washing his bits in the sink. Phoned them up and they didn’t care nonetheless.

I ordered Zinger Burger and Vegan Burger. Its awful in taste, Vegan Patty was so dry and hard, there is no taste in both of burgers. Disappointed

The party meal was delivered but had two items missing the order no was306448743 6 June 2024 to my address in york. The missing items were one large gravy and one large coleslaw. Finding some one to complain to was and is not easy as people refer to the kfc app and who delivered it etc this was definetly a kfc sterling road cock up. It spoilt the grandkids party as in the wait and trauma all the chips and fries were cold.. definetly be aware as they obviously are slack in the kfc cook and on this occasion the derives people were not to blame

After returning home with our order we had a different order from what we ordered.while waiting for our order it was clear all the young lads didn't have a clue what they we doing ,from giving people wrong food orders to people having to ask for things serviettes. Won't be going back

After eating KFC a lot in the USA we were very disappointed with the one at Clifton Moor. Soggy chips, almost tasteless lukewarm chicken and poor tasting spicy sauce. A lot of young staff just milling about doing nothing when a lot of tables needed cleaning. If this is typical of KFC in the UK we will not be eating it again unfortunately.

Ordered dinner for me and my dad and half the food was missing but we only noticed when we were home fuming

It wasn't great but am finding with all things KFC their standard is awful. Much better chicken choices at other places.

I got bargain bucket for 1 other week and beans and coleslaw came to £13. Something. Now then when i opened bucket they was about 5 bits random cold chicken. No legs or fillets. Just random dead cold $hi they thrown in box now i know it was late at the drive through but don't take the Pi$$. i paid good money and yas mugged me off AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Just love KFC. Nice treat after a hard day. Unfortunate that they have changed the recipe for their fries. Not a fan, but chicken delicious, bucket for one, all day long

Fast food it isn’t. After waiting for an order that I had made on their app thirty minutes before and then behind four cars in the drive through, 50 minutes in all, I was asked if I was there to collect? No poo Sherlock! Waited a further five minutes for them to assemble the order. Out of a bucket of 10 pieces, 8 were drumsticks. Not good value. Won’t be returning anytime soon as this has been their standard for too long.

09.01.21 Visited drive-thru, ordered our usual 2 x Zinger Tower Meals (large) and Pepsi (no ice) - no complaints as such but chicken fillet was chewy (happens around 50% of the time - not usually such a big deal). 10.01.21 Visited drive-thru, asked for usual 2 x Zinger Tower Meals (large) and Pepsi (no ice) but asked the clerk if they could only put Zinger sauce in and not the spicy mayo (supercharger sauce as I was then told) - collected the food, parked up took a bite: no Zinger sauce, only mayo. Flew back around and explained what had happened - they kindly offered to take both burgers back in and then brought out new ones. Fries had gone cold by the time we got parked back up and we'd only just noticed they had only put 2 x Fries instead of 4 x Fries which is supposed to constitute to a large portion. 16.01.21 Queued for 20 minutes (at times it can be 30 mins; but hey, you join the queue you take your chances) - ordered usual 2 x Zinger Tower Meals (large) and Pepsi (no ice) *I was asked if this was the deal in the app - I naively said no (after "excuse me" x 2 because they speak way too fast and the machine is distorted)* - as we then queued to pay I opened my KFC app - "50% off Zinger Tower"! I apologised and told the two employees by the pay window that I had just spotted this on the app - to which the nearer employee said the order had already gone through as non-promo so couldn't be "re-made", then the further away employee shouted that we were already asked three times(!!!) Seems unfair not to be asked if I had the app while I ordered this, and whether I knew about the promo. And why they couldn't adjust the order at the pay window - what difference did it make to the order in the bag?! AND THEN, NOT ONLY had they put ice in the drink, as I bit into the burger: NO ZINGER SAUCE! Must have sold out due to the promotion! This truly rubbed salt in the wound - you've blown it now, KFC. ***RELATIVE WENT HERE ON SATURDAY 24/02/24 AND HAD FOOD POISONING***

Idiots here can't count to three apparently, ordered a large pop corn chicken meal and two individually within my order and upon returning home and opening the takeaway I've gotten for the family I see there's only two. Also they clearly aren't wanting to pay the waste fee to biffa as I've worked in bot waste and fast food industry it's quite clear it's got out of hand and there's a bill issue.

Did a click and collect order to get through the drive thru, once we got home which is 20 mins away from kfc we emptied the bag to find all the chips missing, corn on the cob and one box a popcorn chicken. Very disappointed as it’s not cheap!!!!

My wife got a burger here a while ago she paid extra for bacon and the whole thing was disgusting! What on earth is going on? I do hope it's got better.

I wanted to make a couple of quick phone calls and that was impossible to hear or talk over the modern, noisy non music. I have a medical condition and need a comfortable seat. All seats are hard plastic or wood. Had to go to the car to eat our food. As even with outdoor clothing on we were frozen.Unfortunately it's always been chilled here inside the kfc.

Extremely poor service from the staff. Waited over 10 minutes before my order was taken at the counter, despite the member of staff saying he'll be with me in a minute. Part of my order was ready, but the rest didn't arrive. Over 10 customers who ordered after me received their orders. After raising it, my order finally arrived about 20 minutes after ordering. Avoid this KFC if you can. Much better service at the nearby McDonald's.

My parents were given a written list of their food when ordering due to amount of items on the menu, this being in large capital letters, I didn't expect to find half of the items missing and random additions on the list until they came home, how hard is it to read a clearly written list?, there was no queue nor was it busy yet, they were charged for twice the amount of gravy written, twice the amount of orange juice and didn't even receive the rest of the drinks ! Nor were they charged for it, this is absolute carelessness and we sure aren't visiting again. ( Chicken was also dripping with oil and chips stone cold and hard)

If you would like to wait over 30 minutes for substandard food and burning more fuel than your meal cost this is your place. You will sit in the drive through for more time than it will take you to eat your old meal.

Ok, fast food as expected, chicken nice and hot, but they've changed the chips, not the same as they were. They don't provide wet wipes for hands anymore. No hand sanitiser either. Bit disappointing when you are eating chicken pieces with your fingers.

Absolutely terrible. Over £10 for a pathetic burger with a handful of fries. Rip off and not tasty at all.

What can I say it’s KFC. The food you get is what you expect. Slow service, missing items.. Check your order, they’ll always miss something out which is incredibly frustrating as it happens nearly every visit.

Sat in the drive through and was asked to wait, 5 mins go by I ask to be served and was asked to wait again.. decided to drive through to walk in.. Can’t get out of the drive through as the server is hanging out of the window chatting to the previous customer, Walked in finally and spoke to counter staff to out the order in and mentioned the drive through… the restaurant staff rolled her eyes (in agreement) and said quote “I know” Decided to go to Burger King (literally next door) £45 later happy kids with a belly full of food

I love this KFC!! The restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly. I have to say I'm not overly impressed with the new fries though. They taste like someone's just got a jar of chicken gravy granules and sprinkled it on them. I'm available for free anytime if KFC want a chicken connoisseur to give advice on future ideas.

Cold twice as long to deliver and when phoned the store had no recollection of order and told i had ordered the kfc from UBER delivery organisation when I ordered it from the main KFC app itself clear ripp off from a large organisation taking the piss and getting away with it as usual

Atmosphere, it's a drive through and theres beats churning around inside.. foods like any other. Vitamins K F and C

Staff was extremely rude and more bothered about having a chat, had to ask for our drinks 5 minutes after we received our food and the staff found it funny and laughed that they forgot. However the girl that was making our drinks was complaining that she had been working there for too long rather than acknowledging that we were waiting for a member of staff to tell them about our drinks.

Every time we visit KFC Clifton Moor the wait is so long! The poor cleaning lad was running around on his own on a Saturday night with a packed place. The ladies loos were disgusting!! It will be a while before we give it another chance I'm afraid.

We went into KFC for a quick visit while waiting for our bus. We didn't order anything complicated (we only ordered a Krushams milkshake and 4 cookies) but it took 14 minutes for us to receive our order (despite the cookies already being cooked and waiting on the counter) and this was only after we asked the staff what was going on because it shouldn't take 15 minutes to make a milkshake.. Staff were apologetic but also gave the impression that they didn't care. We missed our bus because a very simple order couldn't be fulfilled in an appropriate amount of time...

The food was amazing the chips have changed and wow they beat all other fast food chains service was slow but they were super busy and it was worth the wait one thing missing from burger but staff sorted it no problem

Slowest service ever experienced, over 35 minutes from placing order, despite food being on the pass for ages. Priority given to delivery services over those waiting.

I use the drive thru usually but no more. 50% chance something will be missing from the order every time I go. Zinger tower burger today was missing a hash brown, cheese and zinger sauce - so just a piece of chicken and some lettuce between two dry pieces of bread. Not good enough considering the prices these days.

Drive Thru you expect to be served quickly. I was told I had to wait 10 minutes in the car park. It was longer than 10 minutes and the manager had an attitude it seemed he had lost control. 10 minutes we had to wait drive thru

It was not a pleasant visit today. I had a disabled lady who needed to use the toilet after eating. The disabled toilet was disgusting and smelt that bad we both gaged and left. Told a member of staff no appology or nothing . Absolutely appauled.

If I could give this 0 or minus it would do it juxstice as one star make it sound ten times better than it was.I ordered 3 pieces of chicken with chips the chicken (3legs) was burnt beyond belief and was inedible and they left out the chips.I also ordered a portion of hot wings which were also burnt to a cinder. So I am now ordering some food for my tea having wasted money at KFC. My advice would be to go anywhere but here absolutely anywhere

Like most kfc's this one is kept clean and the staff and very helpful and friendly. We always stop here after we have been to York maze, as its so close so can get a little busy, at times.

Time taken to get order was too long. Many others queueing at same time. Understaffed?

The food is decent, but the service is poor. I worked in fast food for 3 years, 16-19, and it doesn't surprise me that the team who run the front/drive thru are just teenage boys with a poor sense of customer service. I will say however, with it always being busy, the food is always hot and cooked well. Not had an issue with the food here yet and would rather drive from Harrogate for this KFC than use the Starbeck one.

Lovely staff, looked after us even though we came in last minute. Staff waited for us to finish our food before locking up which was very nice. Food was delicious and came out quickly.

They missed off some of our order & didn’t even provide straws for drinks. There was no apology just was told to wait in drive through que as due to rain they closed the dine in section when we had to go back to collect what they missed off in the first place which took an additional 45 minutes to get for them to not get the order correct again for the things we had paid for & missed off to begin with to then have us wait another 15 minutes for them to bring out the other two items. Absolutely awful service & attitude of staff will NOT be going back again. Although Mc Donald’s sometimes messes up orders at least they have a better customer service & work efficiently to make sure customer care needs are met quickly.

Ordered the table service via the self-service screens, staff member who brought our order over was lovely, polite and attentive, can't remember his name but made the overall experience good

This KFC is in a great location right next to York outer ring road. There's plenty of parking as it's in Tesco car park. The drive thru is often very slow but that's the same at most KFC's! The food is always perfectly cooked but there is often quite a wait for it to be ready, fair enough for good quality food. There is always plenty of space to get seated inside and the place is always clean and tidy. They seem to have a high staff turnover but they are still reasonably friendly. The prices of KFC food is getting too high now in my opinion.....but that's just my opinion!

Just want to give a big shout out to Aiden. An absolute amazing lad. He was very helpful, polite and friendly with all the customers. I got a Pepsi with Ice. THANKYOU Aiden 😃

We went today 15th May to the Clifton Moor kfc. All I can say I will never go again. The customer service was awful. Got the order wrong straight away and when we got the food it wasn't still right. Got kids meal. Fillet sandwich was dry, no fries. Also got fillet burger meal, the fillet was very dry and not eatable, and the fries tasted like nothing. Definitely been in for a while. No chicken popcorn in the box. Paid 8.99 for that never again.

Slow service, average wait of about 10-15 minutes wait for food after ordering. No real room to wait inside the restaurant as the area near the till and the collection point is very small and they have put the napkins etc in the corner. Food is warm most of the time but depends what time of day you go
