Came here to avoid the dewsbury kfc as previously birstall was so much better. Wrong, a combination o kfc reduced portion size and the even smaller portions from this franchise. Bought the trilogy and the fries portion was small and the zinger fillet was well wafer thin. Great if your on a diet, but for £10 i didnt expect to be eyeing up McDonald's for burger desert.

Myself and my partner hadn't been to KFC for ages and came to get take away food from this location, we ordered and the self serve screen, there were a couple of customisations we selected for our order. Having ordered over £25 of food we waited for our order to be prepped, the staff were service other customers at the drive through and for delivery. When our food was being prepared we asked if we could have no ice in one of the drinks, the server (Parveen) thrust her hand in my face and waggled it saying 'yeah yeah'. At no point did she make eye contact, smile or treat us with any basic customer service. When the order was ready she thrust the bag of food at us, saying nothing other than "enjoy your meal" in the most insincere tone and turned her back on us before we had even gestured to pick up the order. When we arrived home we discovered that the customisations that we had paid for hadn't been included and our order was incorrect. My chicken was tepid and dry, my partners burger was nice apparently, just not correct and they hadn't included the mash and gravy we had paid for. His chips were okay mine were cold and 'grey' and covered in 'eyes', as in not very nice potatoes. It was too far away to return so we have put it down to experience and noted that this is the reason it had been so long since we last came to KFC, probable won't repeat the experience again. KFC: I'd highly recommend that the staff received some customer service training that focuses on making the customer experience one they want to repeat not one to forget. Allow the customer time to check the order with a colleague, and have more time for the customers instead of getting back to the conversation with your colleagues. Customers: Go elsewhere, somewhere local to you will have excellent chicken, good service and also you'll be supporting an independent owner not a massive corporation that survive on name only.

Good here has been fine. Staff helpful and friendly too. What has annoyed me is the fine I got for parking more than 75 minutes. This should be more prominently displayed and be inside kfc too. Just cost me £60. Make me think twice about going back now.

I visited with my daughter and after being stood at the counter for 10 minutes I address a member of the team and asked if anyone was serving.........2 members of the team looked in my direction but the turned away as said nothing!!!!!! I said wow is that you best reply to me or am I actually invisible???? A female team member said yeah I'm serving and then still carried on filling lids!!!!!!! I turned to an elderly gentleman behind me and said is it just me???? He said no I only ordered an ice-cream 15 minutes ago and no one has even attempted to make it. I had to walk out as I was utterly disgusted

I'm always disappointed here. Staff training isn't good enough, everything is much slower that surrounding drive throughs and they are inconsistent in presentation. I recently purchased a zinger wrap and it was just a mess in the bottom of the box. Another time there was no salad, another time they missed an item off my order, another time it was cold. Just disappointing.

There are some serious food quality issues at this KFC. I ordered the new gravy burger meal for delivery. What arrived were freezing chips and the burger itself was not the gravy burger but the normal chicken burger. When I tried to bite into it I almost broke a tooth. It was absolutely disgusting and must have been sat there all day. I've put a complaint in which will no doubt be ignored. Avoid this KFC at all cost

I asked for 2 boxed meal and got one. I wanted a zinger burger box meal and got 1 plain chicken burger and some very cold fries. The place wasn't over busy so I have no idea why the order was so wrong. The young Asian lad that served me was very difficult to understand and was too busy talking to the other staff to listen carefully. I asked for sweetcorn sides with both boxes, surely that would have given him a clue. ( I only got 1 . So disappointed and will probably go elsewhere.

Just a waste of time really - I enjoy a good kfc and generally go to the one in Halifax, but Birstall is nearer to home.. Supposedly specific nationwide offers applying to all kfcs don't apply here, and the staff don't mind telling that lie - absolute joke, tonight was the 2nd time someone's pulled that... Done with them, avoid here, go with Dewsbury or elsewhere..

Love KFC but always have to cook the chicken again as the skin is never crispy from here! The gravy is different every time; sometimes lovely and sometimes really runny. I thought they had set standards!

Started by trying to order on the touch screens and both failed to continue once payment section came up. Seems the screens are there to only advertise the “freebies” and slow the customer line down.... nobody around to help or assist (10minutes trying) with a dirty restaurant and toilet I’d expect at least one person to be on the customer side cleaning and assisting. Began to queue to be served by a member of staff instead of the machine and 20 minutes later not even acknowledged!! The place wasn’t even busy do you not need custom???Glad we didn’t eat here in the end and definitely won’t ever return to this branch. Expect much better standards and service for such a Big chain no wonder Macdonalds over the way was so busy! Never had such a poor experience in a fast food place.

We had been Christmas shopping at the retail park and stopped off here for lunch. We went to the toilet first and both the ladies and gents were filthy and smelled dreadful. We went to order our food with only one person before us in the queue. We must have stood there 20 minutes or more with nothing happening apart from 2 members of staff walking gormlessly back and forth behind the counter. No explanation of the delay or seemingly anything being done to rectify it. One couple behind us asked how long the wait was going to be and got a reply “I’m just packing food” so they walked out. We eventually got to order and the server got the order wrong twice. She started putting my partner’s food on the tray then informed us there would be a further wait for my chicken and was going to leave the food on the tray to go cold while we waited until we asked her to keep it warm. Another ten minutes and the order was complete. The staff in this place need some serious training in customer service and organisation. We certainly will never be returning to this KFC. We don’t expect silver service but there are certain standards to be expected from any establishment. I definitely agree with the previous review that this is the worst KFC ever.

Worst kfc I have ever been to. Asked for a popcorn chicken meal and a burger, all I received was a box of popcorn chicken. Staff said I didn’t ask for a meal and just popcorn chicken even though he asked me which drink I wanted with the meal when I ordered it. Didn’t realise till I got home that the burger was missing after paying for it. Staff are so slack I’ve never known anything like it

The food here is usual KFC, though I agree that it is not the best standard. The rats in the car park are also rather off-putting. However, the most worrying issue is the parking restriction of 75 minutes. We have been twice and fined twice! A nice additional income when there was no shortage of space for other customers. We overstayed the limit but were in KFC for the whole time and advised by staff that this would be ok. It is not possible to feed and change 20 month old twins, one of which slept for the first 15 minutes, within the time. Sincere thanks to the store manager who stepped in to have the second fine cancelled and explained that the member of staff should have advised us to give our car registration number to the "store runner". The manager could then have put the information on his computer to ensure that a fine wasn't issued apparently. Good luck if you go! I'm still £60 down as well as the cost of food.

Now I know KFC isn't fine dining but there are limits. Surly and slow service, dirty walls (grease and sauce marks), filthy tables, food remnants on the floor, lukewarm food, unwelcoming layout, expensive for what it is. This place has put me off KFC for life...I'll stick to good old McD!
