KFC in Sefton

Went to KFC in Aintree today for my lunch break. Customer service skills are absolutely awful anyway, but today I had a bad experience. I bit into a hot wing & it smelt/tasted like rotten egg. I looked down to find my chicken pink in the middle. This place seriously needs looking into.

The food is just deep fried bones with a hint of chicken, the chips are cold bendy things with no gourmet appeal and the gravy is like the Scarlet Pimpernel - You can never find it. What happened to well cooked KFC chicken I used to buy 40 years ago on County Road. It's just all gone to pot County Road being just the same now. I recently bought from the KFC service station and was surprised it had 75% of the old KFC quality. Save your money this KFC just doesn't know how the food is supposed to be cooked and served.

Don't bother going to this store. I have been twice in the last month to order a family bucket and each time they didn't have enough chicken for my order. Tonight they were limiting it to 4 prices per order. Poor management I won't be going again ever.

The staff here are ALWAYS amazing! They are so friendly and professional. I visited today (23rd Jan 2024) and was disappointed to learn they had no chip seasoning. I personally have been delighted since the introduction of the seasoning of the fries, so was disappointed. However we were given 2 extra portions of fries for our disappointment. We are regulars at this KFC branch and the staff are always extremely helpful and always offer an excellent service. It'd be a 5 star review if it weren't for the seasoning haha

They are so good food ,service ,everything,walked in served and given food in seconds,very civilised staff and freindly.

The staff here are incredibly helpful, very relaxed in their approach, friendly and go above and beyond.

Our order was over 50% missing when it arrived so contacted store who were very apologetic and offered us a refund or asked us to visit the store and replaced our entire order. Mistakes happen it's what you do about it that matters. Will visit store next time without a doubt.

Got a wrong order and went back to store, went in upset but the staff were so helpful and couldn’t apologise enough, the mistake was rectified and food was amazing. The staff in the Aintree store are a credit to KFC franchise. THANKS

Just been to drive thru and collected my order pretty quickly, drove 2 miles home to discover 50% of my order was missing, so drove back and I then waited 25 minutes to amend my order but by the time I got my order home it was just mildly warm. The quality of the food is awful and basically inedible, we ended up throwing the chicken in the bin. THIS KFC NEEDS TO BE CLOSED DOWN.

DO NOT EAT HERE! I have had some lovely kfc meals in my time but this was DISGUSTING! The chicken was raw and cold and I now have awful food poisoning! I urge anyone not to eat here! It needs to be closed immediately

Haven't been to a KFC for a long time, good selection on the menu, tried a rice box, was pretty good, although did have huge splodges of mayo over everything and didn't show mayo in the photo when I ordered. Still was pretty good. Staff seemed pleasant too.

The food is always cold, you wait for ages and then half the order is missing or not what you ordered.

Went here a couple months ago and the tills werent working, ordered via screens, waited around 20 minutes for meal, was okay once received. Went last week used the screens, wouldn't give a receipt as that wasn't working, all tables dirty, had to ask for it to be cleaned. After waiting around 20 minutes I asked were our food was, oh, the chicken's gonna be 30 minutes, unbelievable, nobody told us and considering they only do chicken you'd think they would have some cooked. Staff are all young with bad attitutdes. This place needs closing down.

The Aintree KFC has got to be the worst one in the country, the food is disgusting and the staff are even worse. The place needs shutting down or hanger of management. I won’t be eating KFC again due to this gaff.

Absolute awful place, stay away ,drive thru took 30 mins even though only 4 cars in front , shocking service , can’t even leave once queuing cos they block you in with a bin!!!

Had 2 meals from there in the past week ordered online and when i got there too pick it up they didnt have the stuff I ordered. The staff were lovely but omg the quality of the food has gone downhill so much. Chips taste like S**t. And the chicken was rubbish. I gave it 2 stars as the staff were polite to me I will not.be going back there again. Food is shi*e

I'm a regular walk in customer here, food has generally been good and service can't be faulted. On the last three occasions in the space of a month the coffee machine has been broken. GET A NEW ONE

This young lady was very polite to me today. She made my experience 10x better. Even as a new member of staff, she was working to the best her ability.

I have KFC quite often from stores all over most of them very good this is the third time I have had meals from Aintree. The last twice have not very good I thought I would give it another go as its the nearest to where I live and as normal with KFC Aintree it was disgusting I can't believe how one KFC can be so bad compared to every other one. I guarantee I will never buy anything from KFC Aintree ever again.

Ordered a meal from just eat from these though i would give them another try after not being here because it's so disgusting when i went in 2018 well GUESS WHAT its absolutely terrible this has to be the worst Kfc in the world Chicken overcooked and burnt to a cinder same with the chips of which you get about 10 if that you need a trowel for the gravy and to be honest just cant see how it is still operating truly a dreadful place to go for food i qould even let rats eat it its that bad

This is truly the worst KFC ever. Have been several times (convenience not choice). They never have Vegan burgers, which I accept its a chicken shop - but we have one veggie in the family . If you don't want to sell them don't advertise them. This time they said they could not get oven hot enough to make them - really???? Wouldn't sell us a plain bun so we could make daughter a cup butty. Staff are rude beyond belief. The food is greasy and poorly presented. Will never go there again....

Went through the drive thru on the 23.11.20. lovely young man served us at the window. As we sat waiting for our order a blonde woman started screaming at the young lad on the counter abruptly. This was extremely embarrassing to watch and not professional. She didn't care for the customers in the drive thru and continued to scream. Will not be revisiting.

This is the worst kfc I've ever been to and the worst one in Liverpool! The 10 piece chicken bucket was so so greasy (I know its fast food but it was literally sliding off the chicken it was that greasy) one piece of "chicken" was just a deep fried bone! No chicken meat on it at all. The fries were soggy and raw so we re fried them when we got home. Order was wrong so had to go back to the counter and ask for the other parts of my order. I was sick as a dog after eating here. Would not reccomend, needs shutting down!

Just an awful branch sorry to say. The order is never correct there’s always something missing or you get something you actually haven’t ordered. Would recommend going in rather than drive-thru if you wanted to.

For a few weeks now fancied some KFC. Not the best food but really wanted some, years since I had it last. So bike out and off on a KFC hunt.Yup... Aintree KFC Open. Happy Brian but that was a mistake.My initial feedback to the main company asking them to contact me.Nothing good about it. Long wait (35 mins) to get incorrect order with cold chips and gravy. (I didn't want or order gravy). Tables not cleaned between diners. Nobody wore a mask. Nobody was asked to wear a mask. At one point fourteen in there, only me with a mask. Long wait clustered together by counter, no obvious distancing after placing order. No serviette offered or spoon/fork for beans. Most of restaurant tables closed.Stressful visit as only person wearing a mask. Staff didn't seem to care about anything but they seemed happy enough. All a joke. Eat out to Help out. - KFC doesn't deserve it. A disgrace.Although closing at 10 a young lad came over at 9:15 and said closing in 5 minutes, eat up. I told him nicely what I thought of the experience and he just smirked and said, "That's just your opinion". Then he went back behind the counter as he laughed with the staff saying that I had complained over loads but he just told me that it was just my opinion.Chips cold, I eat two. Boneless chicken dry. Just got a 10 piece bucket from KFC Aintree to take back for my family got home and it has 8 thighs and 2 drumsticks not 1 piece If white meat now I know it sounds petty !!! But 2 weeks ago I got 8 drumsticks and 2 thighs in the same location my wife took them back this time I just gonna doing it all in the dogs bowl !!! I am convinced 100% this location buys the cheap cuts of chicken it is without a doubt the dirtiest kfc I have been in only the children ask for it I would never ever eat out of there and this is the final straw the people are always dirty in there with no personal hygiene shown by any of them the tables in there are never cleaned the food dripping with grease which shows it’s cooked wrong as all other kfc are nice and crisp and now I am convinced they only buy the low cost cuts of chicken it’s a bloody rip off and should not be allowed I will be sending a letter to the office of fair trading and also the local health about the state of the interior and the exterior always covers in litter and dirty oil drums never ever again will I eat out of that rip off pig sty and it got 1 green dot cos I can’t continue unless I put 1 cos it not with half a 1

Paid for my food at 5:36 and didn't get food untill 18:40. What a joke of a place. Loads of people waiting for food. People asking for refunds. Disgraceful

This place has put me off KFC completely. Used this one whilst staying in the hotel and regretted it. Food was dry, staff were rude and overall cost was expensive.

Worst ever kfc by far the staff are rude the food looks like it’s been thrown before it’s given to you... there’s always something they haven’t got the tables are always full of food and dirty this one has put me off goin to kfc,,, secret shoppers should go in there an see exactly how the place is run if I could give anyone a bit of advice go to McDonald’s instead just down the road

Been to a few kfc and the food from here is always good and delicious. Chips are perfectly cooked and very fresh. The chicken is always well prepared and the best we have ever tasted. The dining room is a bit sterile but we usually take it out with us.

Ordered a plain burger as I cant have mayo it came with everything on it so I asked again they took it back and scraped everything off leaving some mayo behind and taking half the batter off with it so I had to send that back they then gave me one freshly cooked but dripping with grease tasted disgusting never going back again plus the krushems are never on they always just say the machine is broken.

Poor service, the girl taking the order was ridiculously unmotivated. Chips were raw, the tower burger had more mayo on than actual chicken, the cheese was more than half way off the burger. No excuse as it wasnt busy.Will not be returning. Disgusting and a waste of money!

Without a doubt worst KFC in Liverpool, I wouldn't waste your money. Drive Through was shut so inside was so busy, queued for 20 minutes. The service was awful, items missing- staff not remotely apologetic on going back up to tills. Luke warm food and Toilet’s disgusting!!! Second time I've been, first time i thought maybe it’s just a off day but after today i wouldn't return!!!!

been here a few times, always items missing, the last time i went i asked the guy are all the sides ect in there, yes he said i pulled over checked the food and u guessed it items missing, if u go the drive through always check ya meals it will make a mess of ya food but at least u will get everything.

Came here one night and there was food all over the tables and floor. Service was slow too. It was a shame as the food was good.

God don't have any influence in this here part of the world. Kentucky Fried Cancelled more like. There's luckily a McDonald's, Pizza Hut and Subway nearby for you hungry people.

Visited the drive thru for a simple bucket of chicken to be told there is a 10min wait. No problem, parked up. 20mins later, the drive thru and surrounding areas completely blocked with waiting cars. A member of staff repeatedly approached us asking what we had ordered and politely told us it wasn’t ours. 30mins had now passed and the staff member had asked us 4 times now what our order was and reassured us he would personally go and get the order. This didn’t happen. Another 10mins had passed (good job we was in no rush) so we decided to go in store. Approached the manager, asked where our order was and she couldn’t explain. I asked if there was any chicken and she shrugged. No doubt asked for a refund which I got but no apology or explanation. Shocking customer service with a queue of people behind us also demanding a refund. Drove to the kfc in Litherland , took all of 3mins if that from order to collection. Don’t bother wasting your time with the Aintree store.

I got a kfc a few days ago with no chicken ! So we rang them and they give me a code. I went in today with my friends and gave them the code ! They thought it was fake! So they checked on the computer and it was real ! I had to wait over 20 minutes when they said 3 minutes ! After all of this happened they gave me the wrong food ! As the title of my last review said KFC MAYHEM!!!!!!

Visited on a Saturday late afternoon. Not particularly busy as only 3 tables were occupied - however out of all the other tables in the place there was not one clean one!

No gravy no lettuce for burgers and wraps no coleslaw and chips not great. Management not placed enough food order and staff having to tell customers. Yet again kfc letting public down or is there a bigger problem? Another store had no fries..... Staff doing their best to try and accommodate customers. They should put signs up.

Popped in for a quick snack attack Saturday evening after visiting the cinema, friendly staff, but let down with the amount of food & rubbish left on 75% of the tables. Reason being rubbish bin was overflowing & requiring emptying.

This KFC has to be the worst KFC throughout the country, very often running out of chicken fillets !! Yes a Chicken take away running out of chicken! They also run out of buns! Most of the time the order is wrong, actually all of the time the order is wrong. I have complained but never got anywhere, avoid it if you can!

Waited over half an hour for our food only to be given a random selection of COLD food which was completely different to what we had ordered. Staff were rude and intimidating when we complained. Awful experience. I will not be going there again!

This is an absolute dreadful dive...there understaffed ...the place is a hovel....kids are serving u with no clue...the wait is horrific...3 people have just walked out getting there money back...the place needs closing ....dreadful keep away ...its a complete dive

Bought a 6 piece bucket plus otger items. Chicken was burned to a crisp and inedible. Very disappointing and went in the bin

Great food Stayed hot Had take out went back to our premier inn and remained hot Great quick service even though it was busy

Arrived and was amazed to see that the person taking the orders at the till was also the same person making the orders a ridiculously slow process that left me standing for ages waiting to be served. Some of the tables where not clean and one customer with young children had to ask for the table to be cleaned before they could eat. Guy that served me was polite and friendly. There where no lemon wipes to be had and no sugar, had to ask for some. Food was good and coffee as well. Ambience not very nice establishment appears to be the haunt of Northface Ninjas. Visited here on one occasion in the past when a customer had their car keys pickpocketed and their car stolen from the carpark.

Having been to this particular branch of KFC before I thought I would give it a try to see if there was any improvement.

Ordered take away bargain bucket. I was given the chicken and chips in brown bags as they had run out of take away packaging. Not asked if this was ok just thrown at me.

Went to KFC today and was told there wasn`t any water in restaurant, so not able to buy any bottled water, tea or coffee. Surely the place should not be open if this is the case??

Disgusting meal . Took our grandson who is 4 , who normally loves Kentucky. Absolutely disgraceful.chicken over cooked dry chips col. sent them back twice . Never even eat hardly anything if you complain staff where rude . Supposed to have had makeover dirty . Toilets disgusting . Probably likely to catch germs in here . Overall experience I'd avoid it like the plague

Must be the slowest fast food place in Liverpool. They seem to prioritise the drive thru. Went today spent £12 on 2 meals asked for ketchup sachets, girl said" out of stock ..you can have a dip for 25p" . So because they can't manage their stock you have to pay 25p for ketchup after spending £12 ...will not be returning.

Whenever you order from here expect cold chips, particularly if you order through the drive thru. Regardless of time or size of order there is always something cold from this place. Try to avoid if possible.

We have not had a KFC for a few years and were really disappointed when we tried this KFC a few months ago ( tried to post review at the time but would not recognize this takeaway and was still pending) and chicken portions really small and hardly any chicken on one piece of the 3 i had, did not really taste like KFC used to. Very dry tasteless chicken and coating was only ok and really dry our fries were quite dried out.
