KFC in Wirral

Totally appalling food. How they have any customers is beyond me. Zero quality control. Give KFC bromborough a miss. Steer clear.

On the 21st of December I made an order on the app to go and collect from the drive thru, when I got there they gave me the drinks and asked me could I park up in the car park as the chicken would be 3-4 minutes. 20 mins later I entered the restaurant to see where the order was and it was just sat in the counter, don’t know how long it had been there. Returned to the car to find some of the order was missing so went back in on the way in the bag ripped so they corrected my order an I asked them for a new bag, the girl handed me the bag an made me repack it myself, on leaving the restaurant the bag ripped again an the food went all over the floor, I went back in again and asked for a refund, they weren’t even bothered, it is now the 7th of January and I’m still waiting for the refund to be put in my bank 😡😡😡

The worst kfc I’ve ever had don’t even deserve 1 star this place is horrible the food was cold the chicken smelling like the oils have never been changed. Staff are a joke ,the worst ever ever ,wow how is this place selling food ,need health and safety to go in there and check this place out

Monday 20th November 2023 I ordered a takeaway with the KFC app in my car just outside the restaurant. After placing the order I immediately went inside to wait. I waited for about 10 minutes and saw a bag on the counter. The female staff wrote something on it. I assumed it was for an Uber Eats delivery. You probably know where this is heading. Anyway, I waited for another 10 minutes and checked on the app, it said it was still getting prepared. My wife phoned and asked what the delay was. I went to ask about my order. And the staff handed me the bag that was sitting on the counter for the past 10 minutes. She didn't apologise at all. Another staff (male) knew I was standing at the collection point but didn't do anything. I should have said something to them, but knowing how incompetent they were, it wouldn't have made a difference. And yes, the chicken was cold by the time I got home. Guess this will be my last KFC from Bromborough.

I don't go to drive throughs very often but I havenfound that every time I have been to the Bromborough KFC drive through the service has been absolutely abysmal. The staff are completely disinterested and have next to zero communication skills. I have had to ask them t o repeat themselves more often than I have had to actually order food. KFC needs to put their teenage employees on some proper customer service courses Particularly in howcto communicate coherently to thei customers. Awfyl customer service

The staff mess around behind the counter sometimes. I ask for a large boneless banquet and most of the time it’s a small so they’ve charged me extra for nothing wounds recommend

hi oreded my food,looked around the tables and floors were a disgrace food all over the tables and floors,there was a young girl brushing up the food with the attude of not wanting to be there,then she wiped down the tables with some liquid and gave the table a quick clean if you could call it that,anyway my meal was called,i sat down the chips were cold,the chicken was that greesy i gave up,only good thing was the drink,the people who work there should be sacked as they had the i dont give a care attude young teenagers,this place needs to have a visit from health and sefety,as a, iso level 2 and more i would close this place down in a flash,plus the young girl never even got the mop and bucket out as there was stained beans and more still on the floor,hand on heart ill never eat there at that kfc again.

I decided to order the mighty bucket for one and ordered at the front. There was a lot of laughter and laughing from the staff when I came in! Its easy for more sensitive people to get the impression it’s about you! When I got the order it was in take away bags and I reminded the guy I was staying in. They all just seemed preoccupied with entertaining themselves. When I saw the two pieces of chicken they were both wings the smallest of the chicken pieces. When I order chicken pieces I’m always prepared that one will be small but not both.

asked for a boneless banquet had us parked up for 15 minutes and managed to get the order wrong and give us a burger banquet went back to complain and they still managed to not put the lid on the beans properly and have it spill all over the inside of the box sheer incompetence from staff wouldn't recommend coming here absolutely shocking

5 star food was great and lovely. Recommend for your tea if you want a takeaway. Kids can get food there and the chicken 🍗 is really good.

We went here to try it as we have never been to this one before, it was empty so we went right through the drive through with ease HOWEVER, total foolish person on the till that didn't look of legal age to be working messed our order up 3 times! There was a smell of cannabis coming from inside the restaurant and after paying we were told to wait in the car park for our food, There was nobody else there! So we waited in the car park, 20 mins later still no food, my wife went in and they HADNT EVEN PUT THE ORDER THROUGH! You couldn't make it up! Had I have gone in I would've demanded our money back but my wife waited for the food. No salt, no napkins, food was fine as it was fresh but I advise you to steer clear of this place, it is ran by cannabis smoking children barely of age to work.

We to the drive through, was advised no gravy no mash, ordered our food and went to the window, the lad at the window has no Customerservice skills, I checked the food cause it was wrong last time I went. I informed the lad at the window that he had put chicken leg in the bag when I asked for boneless chicken and also missed sweet chilli bites. He then informed me that they had no boneless chicken with roll of his eyes. I just don’t think he could be bothered to change it. I WILL NOT RETURN. NEW STAFF NEEDED TO TAKE ORDERED AND SERVE AT THE WINDOW.

Service at this place is atrocious, why put an idiot on the serving hatch (male by the way) when order was given threw the hatch, we checked our order and it was not complete, so we informed the idiot at the hatch and he argued we had our full order, where did we put it, in the glove box you moron. Finally gave the full order but didn't have everything so items where swapped, we wanted what we ordered but that is too difficult for kfc Bromborough, you must need a degree in stupidity to get a job there. And after all that the chicken was luke warm, will be driving to Cheshire oaks from now on.

Food delivered very quickly but immediately spotted that items were missing and the child's meal was wrong. Manager completely uninterested in rectifying the problem when I phoned up, suggesting that I go in to store to collect the missing items. The food we did receive was cold. So disappointing - an unhappy child and a spoilt birthday treat. Will go back to my usual of avoiding the place as not once have they got the order correct - the only difference being in the past is that I was in the store so could get it corrected. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!

Servers were helpful when I mentioned that an item was missing from previous order. Some male voice in the background began shouting through that I should have rang restaurant. I explained to staff that I did but no answer. Voice shouted through that I’m wrong and that they do answer. He then shouted that I should have left a voicemail to which I had to reply that the order should have been correct in the first place. All this for a corn on the cob. Left feeling embarrassed and disappointed

By far and above the worst KFC I’ve ever eaten in. The restaurant is a dump, the drive thru always seems to have the biggest numpty on the intercom, plus the food is over coated with hardly any chicken on it. Oh, and they always...

Poor hygiene from staff. One of them stunk of bo and the toilets were very unclean. Witnessed skid marks all in the toilet.

The chicken ok. Hygiene disgusting. Floors dirty tables not cleaned. Staff not interested. Coffee machine not working.

Ordered family bucket with gravy sides and extra sides as well.....too busy telling me about special offers....so got order wrong arrived home to no gravy.....and very greasy chicken......😫

Disgraceful service, no wonder McDonald's is so busy with these clowns around, Staff are useless and can hardly speak English, not sure why it's card only either, weird 🤔

Ordered a variety bucket on the 5th of November and when it arrived there was chicken still raw with blood.

I used to love KFC because it was succulent and cheap. Called in today for a snack of two chicken pieces. It was dry and didn't have the flavour that I expect. disappointed. Not even cheap really.

Was late getting home from work, called to the drive thru, ordered and was told to wait for 7 mins in the car park. And the food would be brought out to us, never showed my wife went in To get it, got it home...

Went through the DT and waited 27 minutes for the food due to running out of hot wings! Or was it just slow? Food was hot but greasy so won’t be returning in a hurry!

Service slow. Staff weren’t very friendly. Restaurant was very untidy and floors had spilt drinks all over it with no wet floor signs. Will not return 🙁

First and last time on entering this place. Every table outside was full of rubbish. No tables inside were wiped down and resorted to having to do it myself. We had gone in for a cold drink and to get away from the sun. I...

This KFC branch constantly tells you that the hot drinks machine is broken. Don’t know why it ‘breaks’ so often. Really annoying.. won’t be going again. Thank goodness McDonald’s across the road serve hot drinks!

Friday 17/05/2019 @ 10:35 - Time on web site states it shuts at 11pm, I arrive at 10:35 and I am advised it is shut! Yet again written your own rules and closing when you feel like it! No doubt as usual I will see...

There is a lack of front of house staff, no tables were cleaned, and on requesting ours to be cleaned it was given a wipe.... after a roll of the eyes.....corners left dry, think round tables..may get a full clean then! Floor no brushed, bins overflowing.

Great food as always but why oh why can the staff not clean the tables outside? No customers except us and one table outside occupied by staff. The floor needs a brush as well - disgusting.

My son enjoys KFC so after school on a Friday afternoon we used the drive in facility in Bromborough. There was one car in front of us in the “queue” but still we had to wait about 10 minutes to place our order.

Never been to a fast food Restaurant which is so slow at preparing and serving food. Waited at least 20 mins for 2 kids meals. Most of the staff seem to be standing round doing nothing. Poor service.

Went Wednesday at 2pm only 3 people in the place walked around looking for clean tables none to be found food bins overflowing good job health inspectors don't visit this place

Myself and my partner visited this restaurant earlier today, I feel compelled to tell someone how filthy this place was. Parts of the restaurant looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. How can a place that only had a couple of other customers in it and surely can't have been open long as we arrived at about 11:35 be so dirty. We moved from the first table due to the filth and the leather/plastic had been ripped from the seats. The next table was slightly better however I still had to wipe food from the seats before we could sit. The window sills next to us had filth on them and the floor was disgusting. The restaurant started to fill up around 12:00 just as we were leaving. I have never had to clean the table after myself at a fast food restaurant so the other people had somewhere slightly cleaner than the rest of the place to eat their food, I honestly wish that I would have eaten my food in the car. If the areas that the customers can see are this disgusting then I dread to think what the kitchen would be like. Environmental health would have a field day. I did complain directly to KFC via a third party company called RESOLVER.

Not one to pop to for a drive through, left waiting at least 20 minutes in the drive through with no apologie! Same Every time and often out of stock of things

Was doing some shopping and needed a 'quick' lunch. Had the chicken rice box. Food was reasonable, staff friendly and service fine. Not the place for a leisurely lunch but if you want something in a hurry it is ideal.

We went in restaurant as a family to order a take out. The restaurant was empty apart from a gang of 6-7 kids there messing about. The appearance was in kept and untidy with litter on the floor and tables not been cleared away. We ordered a bargain bucket but then was informed it would be an 8 minute wait, so much for fast food! The young guy who served us was friendly and attentive offering us a drink. The staff behind the counters were busy with drive through.

After coming here many times I always have the same issue , they never have enough staff and the place can be left a while before anyone empties the tables.

Unfortunately went on spare of the moment on a Sunday lunchtime. When we went in i wondered why there was not many people in there. The place is rotten and the food even worse. The floors, window sills, glass etc all filthy.

Fast food chain- stood waiting for maximum 5 minutes as they had to wait for chicken to cook chips were hot and the two girls on front didn’t catch their name badges were polite whilst serving customers.

The place was filthy and staff treating it like a playground. Saw staff eating in the kitchen and throwing food at each other like children. One was chewing gum and then spat it at another who then started to chase him. Where is the management? Why doesnt KFC UK take an interest in their franchisees who are ruining their brand? Looking through other TA reviews, it seems that this kind of behaviour is the norm. Never again.

It's a KFC... great if you want some tasty fried chicken but no good if you don't! Service can be a bit slow if there's a queue at the drive through.

Recently visited this store for a treat for the kids for tea, went through the drive thru placed my order An was told to go to the window to pay, I paid on my card and while I was waiting for the food to be served I witnessed 2 members of staff eating the food while they were serving and one standing biting his nails, I asked for a refund and when asked why I told them An they seemed to think it was funny, I didn’t get an apology just got smirked at, wrote an email to head office who emailed back to tell me that they were sorry and that the area manager will call in some time soon to make sure standards r being met, this is disgusting seeing as though they’re a world wide chain, I will never go here again! One star is one star too many!!!

I don't know how the calorie content in even their smallest meals is so high - I thought only edible substances contained calories. So are you telling me that their popcorn chicken isn't made out of cardboard? Well, I've only had one bite, and that was enough for me.

No breast of chicken or even chicken wings in our "party bucket" - 5 legs and 9 thighs and according to the staff, no breast to be seen anywhere in the kitchen, maybe the wings flew off too?

Absolutely disgusting tip. Looked like there had been a bar fight. Food and waste flung everywhere. A neanderthal serving with single digit IQ. Nearly walked out (wish I did). The only part of a chicken they serve is mega greasy thighs.

Went to the kfc in bromborough 27/7/18 , the food was warm just about the gravy was watery , & the toilets was disgusting, I’d never go back

We went on Saturday, and lo and behold they had no fries........ it seemed they had more staff than customers, yet several tables needed cleaning..when I asked if someone could clean them I was asked "which one is it?" was he REALLY going to just clean one and leave the others with debris over them? Despite having no fries we continued to order, and then to top it we were told "it's a 20 minute wait!" why oh why were we not told BEFORE ordering??? staff with common sense would be good!

Went through the drive thru and ordered several meals including toffee ice cream. Waited several minutes for the zinger tower burger meals, the ice cream order was wrong they gave chocolate instead of toffee and the chicken pieces were dry. Normally when I eat in this venue is a dive, food bits everywhere, bins full. There is always a long wait. How come McDonald's on the same retail park is more slick?

This is our local KFC and we don't really use it that often, because the other well known fast food place is easier to get to, it is bigger and cheaper !

Visits to this KFC branch have usually been very good , but had suffered recently, Today’s visit restored my faith. What made it more enjoyable was the decision to sell, for a short time, the Double Down burger. Served in a silvered wrapper, it consists of two breadcrumbed slabs of chicken breast holding down layers of cheese, bacon and a barbecue-type sauce.This, with chips and a drink will cost you almost £6.

As stated, this is the best run Kfc outside of London. They have ice and actually give you enough. The foods fresh and tasty. Excellent for expats who want a proper American meal. Staff is very friendly. Great management.

Always forgetting hash browns on towered up meals, always forgetting hot wings, hot wings never ready, 35 minute wait on a party bucket the list is endless. Area managers don't respond to complaints or have the guts to call you to explain why

Tuvimos que esperar un rato para la comida una vez la orden. Cuando llegó era buena. La orden fue correcta. Lugar incluyendo baños estaba muy limpio. Mucho mejor que un montón de tiendas kfc en los que he estado. Disfruté de mi comida. Personal trabaja duro y aquellos que hablé eran educados.

Visitaremos el Bromborough Retail Park, probablemente una vez por mes, y el Kentucky Fried Chicken es el atractivo natural para el almuerzo. Casi siempre conseguimos un cupón encuesta para obtener mi 20% de descuento, y el cubo de 12 piezas mantiene toda la familia van. Restaurante siempre muy limpio, el personal fantástico, por desgracia, a menudo muy lleno y espectáculos como el ser un pequeño edificio. . Sólo. My wife and I ate here (or more to the point didn't) via the drive through Sunday lunch time 24/7/2016,ordered paid and picked up our food drove to a quiet spot to enjoy,on opening my own food parcel the chicken looked like it had been dragged thro a hedge backwards the skin wasn't crisp at all and was literally hanging off the piece ,my other piece didn't look very appetising either so I decided best not to eat it ,my wife had started to eat hers by this time but upon pulling a piece of chicken off to eat found a piece of plastic cooked under the skin and stuck in her chicken ,so it all went in nearest bin just threw are money away,once you've driven away basically carnt do anything about it ,kfc franchising should be more stringent ,what we were served you wouldn't give a dog and we didnt. I would just like to add we usually get our kfc from the hoylake road ,Birkenhead outlet many many times over last ten years ,never had a problem

Went here with kids, waited almost 15 minutes to be served, incredibly slow service, staff were just miserable. When we got our food the chicken was luke warm and the chips cold, took chips back and requested hot ones, you would think I'd asked her to do something difficult, threw the chips I had given back, down towards the counter, shouted to cook lad that she needed hot chips for a complaint!!!!Then had to wait for my sons ice cream tub to be filled, they completely ignored us at first, was only when I stood in way did she fill it for him.Go elsewhere for your food, service and smiling faces, this place needs a good staff relations exercise putting in place...

I have visited this restraunt on at least 10 occasions via drive through and eating in.Constiently the staff are slow, often look confused and only one member of staff seems to know how to run frount of house correctly ( A slightly older english lady who is halways excellent polite and happy to help) The food is gernally of good quality and the drive through i find is the better choice as it is considerably quicker than the confused and disorganised collection area inside. Facilties are gernally kept to a clean and high standard including the bathrooms. Lates team seem to have a lack luster attitude to service, especially close to closing time advising they have no chicken as it is close to midnight, last I read your open till midnight and serving food until then. Doubt I will return until they sort the staff and training out and start using this useful thing called team work and efficeint organisation.

We called in after the pics, placed our order and asked for two pieces of keel. The lady behind the counter who was lovely, asked the guy in the kitchen and he was rude and seemed like he couldn't be bothered to cook them so we cancelled our order and ended up leaving. Don't think he would be too bothered though as apparently it was his last night working there. Somehow I don't think he is going to be a great loss to the company!

Visited today : enjoyed the food - food was serve fast- although some of the tables were dirty as was the floor - the same person serving the food was the same person wiping the tables down and emptying the bins. Also extremely hot inside - the three of us were far too hot - maybe look at heating system.

We bought a bucket been going here since it opened the last 2 visits were cold and v greasy we all couldn't eat it its a shame as when it's right it's lovely

They barely speak English, service is soo slow. This disgusting, foul mouthed, cretin kicked off on the staff and some poor woman when she approached the counter and asked to resolve a problem, accused her of pushing in, swearing in front of her own and everyone's kids, staff just pandered to her. Will never go there again. Food is a mix of hotter than the sun, and barely warm.

Food normal kfc all good, service is not so good hardly speak English and nightmare to get them to understand what you want. My order was wrong as was the guys before me, I couldn't be bothered trying to explain again so just ate what the gave me.

We called in and had a KFC last month, and we wasn't disappointed. The chicken was very crispy and tasty. The fries were good too. Staff very helpful.

The first time i went the food was fine however i asked for my drink and the guy said it was in my bag not thinking to check until i got home i was then drinkless. The second time i went i ordered my food which was fine, i had a fully loaded zinger meal towered with coke and a chicken zinger burito with diet coke with a side of 2 hot chicken wings. I pulled up to the window where i said Hi, how are you? to recieve the response of What?! In the tone he said it, it was very rude and showed very poor customer service skill, I recieved my food, and once again no drinks. I asked for my drinks so he went and poured them (3/4 of the way up)Perfect! I have my drinks this time butwhen we got home i looked at the burger which was a bit pathetic and realised they had forgotton to give me a towered burger( even though i have paid for it) Annoyed at this i tried to call the phone number which was not in use. We carried on eating and there was a lovely white hair in my burito.I know this can sometimes happen but it was the icing on the cake!My only advise is to avoid, they clearly cannot follow simple instructions nor do they have any customer service skills.

Visited the drive-thru on Sunday 29th November at around 2pm and there were 2 cars in front of us that seemed to take ages to be served. When we finally ordered and reached the payment window we encountered an extremely polite young man (who is the sole reason this review isn't lower scoring). He was courteous and going as fast as he could but seemed hindered by those around him. Having to sit behind the back of an unsightly Greggs who left crates and rubbish at their back door doesn't look good on KFC. Have a word with them. The food was extremely bland. I thought it was just me but both wife and son complained that their chicken tasted like cardboard and we all had separate meals so it wasn't isolated to one particular type of chicken. The gravy was just oil and water the fries were overcooked on the outside, undercooked on the inside and oily. First and last time we'll be eating here.

Yummy and familiar fast food takeaway! The food was looking hot and the service was great! The order was in a timely fashion and we were both pleased with the food even though we couldn't eat it there and then. The napkins and wipe came in handy! Thoroughly enjoyed the lunch boxes!

Overall ok but so many times my order was wrong or something was missing make sure you check ur order :)

KFC advertises itself as a fast food restaurant, but upon visiting this particular one I was shocked at how slow the service was and how understaffed it was too. A simple meal of chicken strips & chips took over 15 minutes to reach my table and for this reason I will not visit here again. I don't recommend.
