Kfc in Cardiff

the customer service is absolutely shocking. When you go in the store to order food you hear the staff effin and blinding all sorts of words behind the counter, the attitude on the staff while serving you is disgusting and if you complain about your food all you get is there’s nothing I can do about it, they really don’t care about customers.As a company you should welcome your customers and make customers want to buy your food, but with the level of disrespect coming from staff is shocking. The hygiene is next level of disgusting the toilets are never clean and always smell, as a customer I’ve seen people not wash there hands while handling food and also picking out food with there hands such a popcorn chicken to eat then go on to serving a customer.

I get food delivered from this KFC as it's the closest to me, but far too often items are missing. Today it was the drinks. You need to improve the checking process before sending orders out for delivery.

Bearing in mind it was a match day, the food and service was good.

Went to kfc Newport Road Cardiff, the staff were miserable the service was terrible and the food was disgusting and very disappointing and there was no flavour to the chicken / chips and the rice box had a funny taste to eat

It's probably the worst of all the kfcs I visit. Chicken had been standing a while, too many drummers. Bought a 10 piece variety bucket, the 4 mini fillets where fine. 8 spicy wings were OK. Chips were dry and the 10 chicken pieces seemed that they'd been there a long time. Trouble is when you buy a drive through, you tend to drive away so there's nothing you can do. Will avoid this place for a while now.

Great friendly staff and great food

The main "front of house" staff member was amazingly lovely and friendly 100% credit to the KFC brand. Food was good and served quickly. All round 5 ⭐

Bit of a shambles.. the young lady serving us to begin with was so miserable, and I mean complete misery, at no point in the whole experience did she crack a smile, then there's the fact the order was wrong as she was taking payment, this isn't her dajkt completely this is because of the second lady, busy body getting in the mix and messing it up, worst part when I got to .y table with my cold food I quickly realised the order on the tray was still completely wrong, I didn't bother to complaining, I just ate the cold and hard chicken. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy so the long wait was unnecessary but the state of the place was horrendous, safe to say this is another experience that puts me off going there again

Staff are friends and food is decent. Reasonable pricing. Seating is usually available and well cleaned. Although it is a pain when you go through the drive thru and they ask you to park up as there is not much space unless you parkin the car park.

Placed the order asked if there was a promotion in any of the order staff just looked at me blankly. the order was given to me just before leaving I checked it only to find part of the order was missing when I went back to the counter they found that they had made a mistake after a delay they gave me the missed item by the time I got the food had cooled because if the delay and there were no drumsticks in this bucket. Yes let down by this experience will try to avoid this place in future.

Food quick.. edible... staff very unfriendly

Clean and tidy and have easy access and good parking. Except from some members, customer service wasn’t good. But not all the staff. Food is on average level.

I The old gentleman that served us was very helpful and polite best service I've had in any othe KFC.

I spent £32 on the 14 piece party bucket at the Leckwith branch. After waiting 30 mins for the food, the manager agreed to give us a few extra sides for the inconvenience. Once we got home, we noticed half the chicken , the hot wings, and the chicken strips missing as well as the extra sides that were promised for the wait. The staff clearly prioritised delivery orders over walk-in orders. Poor service, poor quality of chicken, half the stuff missing, and a waste of time. Not to mention staff dancing in the kitchen whilst customers and delivery drivers in frustration waiting to be served. We weren't the only ones to complain tonight either, as various people were unhappy with the service.

Disabled toilets are dirty with excrement all over the place sort it out kfc eat here every week before the cardiff games rapidly going off it

Great service, food was as per expected for a KFC. Not very greasy either which was great.

The girl who served us at the drive through this evening needs a raise. After ditching the Sandmartin next door due to sadly terrible service we were starving and not having the best night. She was obviously cold at the window (rocking a big brown fluffy coat) but shes blessed with the gift of the gab, made us laugh the whole time and provided the best service, she really saved our evening. We know where we'll be grabbing food next time we're in the area.

Got home to find they had left out 4 portions of chips

Absolutely terrible experience. We ordered salads but when we ask them for utensils to eat it with, there attitude was that they don't provide knives and forks and we must eat with our fingers. What will they cut back on next? Chicken burgers without the buns?

Service was slow and staff seemed more interested in talking to friends than serving people. One staff member even provided a friend with free food whilst there was a queue waiting. Bins were full to overflowing, there were no serviettes, some of the tables were dirty with spillages and leftover food and the floor wasn't much better. We were going to say something but the man behind us was evidently more shocked than we were and so pointed everything out. A man then came and cleaned and service sped up but it wasn't the most pleasant experience. It's a shame as we love KFC but it does seem as though the place has gone downhill since we last visited. I wouldn't say don't go there as it might have been a bad night but I would say to be aware that it might not be the experience you were expecting.

Had the Bargain Gravy Meal for £4.99 Prompt Service and enjoyed my meal. A good meal for less than £5 Can't fault it, and I can't resist dipping my chips in that delicious grayy

We really fancied fried chicken for a treat and decided to use the drive thru at KFC Leckwith Road Cardiff. After paying contactless we drove around the corner to the right to the collection point. It was dark around 7-45 and we saw two fat rats scurrying around in the headlights I thought of cancelling our order and getting a refund right then but we were starving and the rodents were hopefully only outside?? On driving home less than ten minutes we were so disappointed to open the bag to find cold chips and inedible chicken The chicken wasn’t crispy but soggy and full of grease Honestly it was the worst £19-99 we’ve ever spent We feel like we’ve been mugged because the restaurant WILL NOT ANSWER OUR PHONE CALLS Our card payment details are proof of time collection so hopefully our emails to head office will be answered Honestly we are disgusted by the terrible meal and shockingly bad after sale customer support Stay away from this establishment

Bit of a dump, not up to the usual KFC standard, employees appear to be not the usual kind of age range of staff that you would see at a Fast Food place. Whilst kids running a KFC seem to be told what to do without redress and have little empathy, these guys seem to run the show with quite a bit of contempt for the people that own or run it. Which only shows what kind of people actually do manage it, formulating my own opinion from that attitude, and the fact the restaurant is not really up to date would suggest that those that do actually own or run it have much distain for their staff the building and lastly their customers. Needs an update, and probably a new owner to manage what appear to be disillusioned staff, and modernise the front of house.

It is what it is. Quick food but this place managed to overcook all the chicken for the 2 large family buckets we ordered

Food is okay, sometimes they forget to pack certain things you ordered.

Chicken dry not fresh very chewy, no milkshakes available they said too late 8.15pm in the evening? Not on my return list.

KFC bucket 6 pieces and chips were cooked well but everything was a bit slow today. I guess it was a busy lunch time as a number of tables had not been cleaned.

Used JustEat to order from this KFC, as it was the closest to my house. Was so disappointed in my order, ordered a Colonel's chicken meal which was missing entirely from the order, was given beans instead of garlic mayo (???) and a Pepsi instead of 7up, with a few other bits missing too. Tried ringing the restaurant 3 times, no answer each time, and then the place was down as closed on JustEat within 20 minutes of us receiving our order. Wouldn't order from here again, so disappointing.

This is the second review regarding this KCF Capital Retail Park in Cardiff, the gravy thin like water. It has improved after my first review 6 months ago but today happen again, This is the worst branch ever on gravy and has no taste at all. Hope the head office will make a secret visit to check this place or shut it down otherwise, it will keep letting fans down.

I ordered the Double Gravy Box with Mini Fillets, when I got home the MINI FILLETS wasn't in the bag with the other stuff. I had to show the girl that served me what it was on the big screen behind her. Ive tried to Email KFC but it won't let me

I ordered chicken wings and sharing-bucket and 4 x gravy for chips and chicken, The gravy was very thin and had no taste at all, it was the worst one I ever had. Chick was too dry, either overcooked or left it in warmer too long.

The food was dry, missing pieces and the staff are working like they don't want to be there. BURGER KING much better.

The absolute abuse me and a friend of mine received from the staff here was absolutely sickening on top of that we had to wait almost half an hour for our food and when it eventually came the order was wrong. I will not be coming near this outlet ever again I'm severely disappointed

The staff at the microphone was positively rude can cope with that but the food must have been cooked several hours before was dry and tasteless also no drinks were provided but were pain for 1st and last time there.

Just sat for ages in a que only to get to counter and find out they had ran out of chicken! WTAF..... we were going to buy three party buckets too....good job mac Donald’s across road!! Sort it out KFC

Seen the reviews, never had a problem here. The food is always good and the service is quick. Obviously like every business more so with fast food restaurants is people have always got time to write a bad review when something goes wrong but the other 1000 people who had a good experience never do write reviews. So yeah in my experience this place has always been 5 stars

We popped in for lunch after shopping locally. The place was half empty with three servers at the counter but we still had to wait a short while to be served. The server only gave us one plate for a bucket meal so I asked for an extra paper plate. The server turned her back on me, lifted a plate off the rear worktop and rudely stretched her arm BEHIND her in my direction with the extra plate and said nothing. The famous chicken coating was soft and chewy and the chicken itself swimming in fat. The small portions of chips were dark brown and overcooked. About the only thing they didn't manage to spoil were the cold drinks. Before leaving I popped into the gents toilet only to find the toilet floor wet and slippery (with what I dread to think) and covered in toilet tissues. This place is a complete disgrace in terms of attitude, service, food, and hygiene and needs investigating with immediate effect. Go there at your peril!

Tremendous amount of business being lost through extremely poor customer service and staff oblivious to customer care. 2 customers walked out after waiting to be served and eventually so did for the 3rd time after a 14 minute wait. I timed my wait as the 2 previous customers ended up walking out without even being acknowledged that they were waiting to be served. I ended up in McDonald's near by and promised myself never to visit this site again. I personally thing the management needs to acknowledge the amount of business being lost through poor customer service and possibly staff training. KFC also need to understand that their customers are being forced towards the competition in the surrounding area, McDonald, Subway, Gregs. etc. I also hope the management sees this review a constructive feed back and try to rectify the staffing issue before its too late.

Ordered a boneless banquet meal for £16 to have what i can only describe as dog s**t. Extremely chewy chicken with fat lining through every piece 🤮🤮🤮 Chips there are no words for! Corn on the cob made at 1.35 to be served by 5.35!! Its now 7.55! Gravy with the thickest layer of skin on it by the time you peeled it back you had a spoonful if lucky! Used to eat from here every weekend and since the chicken shortage problem you have gone tight down hill!!! Will never cross your door again!!!!

Chicken good, as expected to be. Chips terrible. Service slow. The most convoluted drive thru access. I wouldn’t go again.

Staff here are quite good. I find the problem is they have long quiet periods. The food is never good unless there is a steady flow of customers. Not KFC fault. Just one of those things

After ordering our food we were left waiting 40 mins for our meal . It was an utter shambles. Woeful

Popped in for a quick lunch. Chicken was extremely dry and tasteless. Whatever the secret ingredient is, they clearly left it out. Plus no loo roll in the ladies. Very disappointing.

We were the first table in an all bins overflowing from the day before, no cookies or yoghurt for kids meals, toilets blockedso staff told us to use the ones in sandmartin. Apparently been like it for 3 weeks.

Wasn't busy. Customer service was ok. Took a while to get my order but it was very hot and tasty. Would visit again when in the area.

Went through the drive through to order wicked zinger meal and another burger. While ordering attendant constantly spoke over us and was very rude. When it came, both burger buns were rock hard, chicken looked like it had been there for days and the fries were stone cold!

Every time I visit this KFC there’s a problem. Probably the worst branch in the UK. The burritos are never toasted and waiting 20minutes isn’t very “fast food”

Hoy, novio, su hermano y yo comimos aquí. Usamos el drive - thru que fue rápido. Desafortunadamente esperamos 25 minutos para comer, no nos impacientamos porque mi novio entró al baño y vi que solo había 3 personas trabajando. No estaba ocupado en absoluto y esto empeoraba las cosas. Habíamos esperado 25 minutos para nuestra comida y cuando llegó la orden era incorrecta, papas fritas pequeñas, no grandes que pedimos. La comida no estaba caliente solo estaba caliente. Las patatas fritas no tenían sal, ni salsa, incluso cuando lo pedimos. Mi novio pidió col y no dieron ningún cubiertos que estaba en la mesa de condimentos dentro. No pase por el drive - thru porque tienen 0 idea de lo que deben poner en un drive - a través del bolso - sin servilletas. También dieron la envoltura incorrecta y las bebidas equivocadas.

Un amplio espacio de estacionamiento con un corto paseo a este KFC. Servicio rápido y amigable. El personal debe llamar el número de su comida de recibo, en lugar de "Zinger Burger Meal". . . cuando hay cerca de 5 personas esperando la misma comida!

Visited for a drive thru this evening on way home from busy day in Work, and wanted fast food and their gravy, but again like 3 previous visits no gravy, and poor customer service. For a fast food chain I would not recommend.

This is the worst KFC I have ever visited. The staff are totally incompetent, untrained, uneducated and show no care for their jobs.

2nd time I have been here in last month. Thought first time might have been a blip and gave it a second chance. The staff have no manners and lack any thought of customer service. They are slow unorganised and some of them looked grubby. There is clearly a lack of drive and meaningful supervision and enough training. 2 of the 7 drinks they offer were off leaving very limited choice. I've given up on kfc-i've had similar experiences in another Cardiff branch, just gives the impression the company is being run into the ground.

There are still huge problems for KFC with its new supplier. So no drinks apart from a decanted Pepsi bottle, no cakes, no sweet corn, no coleslaw, no family feast, maybe no ice-cream too, that's what I noticed at least. But the killer for me was the size of the chicken on the bone in our Mighty bucket for 1, a tiny wing that was dry and tasteless, a great it that was tiny. Spices seemed non existent, the chicken strips were anaemic or a weird black colour and pulpy, like reformed chicken and totally tasteless and even the spicy wings weren't really spicy. A massive disappointment and I have thrown my receipt away rather than get a code for 20% off next time because there won't be a next time...(and the staff messed up the order during the wait for something to cook and gave part of ours to people who came in well after).

The Person Who Served Me Was Shocking (25/01/2018 @ Approximately 15:00. I Complaint that the Fries were cold, they were taken back from me and she reheated half and apologies. The Zinger burger was warm and tasted funny, but I was so hungry I put the burger down my neck, I binned the drink and fries. The fries - Top half was overcooked and the bottom half cold - The drink I just thought Watchdog and Ice.

Always go for the Boneless Banquet and the services is always quick here. The food rarely disappoints.

Just been to KFC with my sister and the kids we wanted to pay separately at the drive through and we were told that we were not able to as it's company policy and a 3 minute rule to serve all drive though customers in this amount of time. They expected us to pay for one order and go back through the drive though to re order! we have never had this issues before it's shocking on top of that the manger and the girl on the drive though desk attitude were shocking ! will not be returning which is a shame as we used to vist regularly on a Friday!

200 km para ver a mi equipo y mi hijo estaba encantado de encontrar un KFC, a 15 minutos en la cola, esperar 10 minutos para comida, un recordatorio para ellos no teníamos bebidas, bebidas y comida tan fresca fría! No sólo un desagradable disculpa...

Así no es agradable cuando su hambre y tener que esperar, pero no hay elección y descubrir que tienes de col sin cuchara apresurándose aint ayudando eh nunca mente encanta kfc

Pausa para el almuerzo rápido, rápido, eficiente y comida caliente a través de la drive thru. Estupendo para la familia lunching con los niños.

After going round the car boot sale we decided to try the KFC , we decided to order the family feast and two side,s but instead of the bottle we wanted two cup's of coffee instead, at first we were told no, we told them that the barry branch does, we were going to walk out when the women that was serving us said it was ok!, please note manager this woman deserves a lot of praise, the chicken here seem's tasteless and the coating hard it has no patch on the one in barry.

Been here a few times, don't know why we keep coming back. Probably because we've an 11 year old and he likes KFC!! Service is awful, always long queues and no staff. Food is bland and unimpressive and restaurant is always messy. Go somewhere else instead.

The staff are always fantastic here, and its KFC so the food is also good, great place to go after watching a game of football

If I could give this place a zero I would! What an absolute disgrace. The tables, chairs & floor were stinking. The bins were overflowing with rubbish and there were hardly any staff members on duty. We had to clear & clean our own table to eat. The food when we managed to get some was lukewarm and judging by the state of the place they had been busy! That is the worst KFC I have ever had the misfortune to eat in!! If the kids hadn't been starving and we hadn't been in a rush to get somewhere we would never have stayed...I'm sorry we did really because I'm still disgusted by the state of the place!! KFC you need to employ more staff and train them up on hygiene

After having my request wrong, for the third time, the staff member has a terrible attitude. How does the Brand allow, such a bad store to provide an ongoing horrible service? Will not go there again and will ensure my 10 friends, which I will share my experience, don't go as well... Please do something!!!

Thought we would live dangerously and indulge in a KFC after coming back to Cardiff from a w/e away. Asked the staff for 'all legs' for our bucket. On arriving home opened the bucket to find only a single leg out of 6 pieces...Hmm ok perhaps they were running low on legs....The chicken however was tasteless and rubbery. The colonel's secret recipe clearly has not been given to the Leckwith branch of KFC. Avoid!!!!

This was my third visit to this restaurant and unfortunately my opinion has not really changed from my first visit in that the service is really slow as they only have one person serving. This visit was doomed from the start, I ordered 2 boneless dip meals, one with fries and one with corn on the cob and I also ordered 4 cookies all to takeaway to my daughter in law and son who were in Llandough hospital. I had paid for the meals but then they did not have any sweet chilli dip but in fairness they did throw in a selection of other dips instead, they had also run out of cookies so although I had paid for 4 I could only have 2 and by this point as I had been waiting 20 mins to be served rather than wait for her to sort out a refund I took a coffee instead. The big disappointment was yet to come, on opening the meals at the hospital the corn on the cob had a large sticker on it saying it was prepared at 10am and wasn't to be consumed past 2.20pm. I had arrived at KFC at 6.10pm !

I don't care what people say about KFC I love it me and the other half regularly use this place and the staff are always friendly and helpful!

Been here twice recently and enjoyed the food on both occasions. We went here on Friday evening it was very quiet, we sat inside the place, was clean and tidy ahd staff very friendly.

It's ok, not much more to say really. Averagely average as far as the food goes, prices are not the best seems again to be the way these days. £5 a meal for one, not a huge portion of either. There are better private type chicken places.

Everytime we go here the food is prepared and ready before we get to the window. The staff are friendly and fast. Awesome service.

I had a spicy snack wrap from here and it was really tasty and for the price it was a bargin. Will defiantly be coming back for a meal. . The chips are also fab much better than mc donalds

Haven't had a KFC for a long time so thought we would treat ourselves and went for the Deluxe boneless feast. Apparently its the meal *made for dipping*.Sadly no dips were provided so unsure of what we were supposed to dip the chicken into.This made the meal very dry, I assumed a selection of dips would be provided. The chips were cold, even though they were bagged, bagged again in my car, and we only live up the road from the outlet. Coleslaw is a generic one you get at any supermarket, no flavour to it at all, it was horrible.This is an expensive meal, and it was awful. I would not buy it again, and probably will not visit KFC again either.Not Recommended.Hint for the future KFC. If you advertise a meal as *Great for dipping* Why not ensure your staff add *dips* to enable this to take place.
