We sat in with family and five people came in and asked steakhouse to remove my family from the area we were sat in.. there was 15 of us. We had already ordered. This was the worst experience ever. Please don’t go to this restaurant as they are very rude and use lying techniques. Some of wealthy Middle Eastern men who had no manners asked their management to remove us. They preferred the gang of Middle Eastern, men over us as a family. They were rudely came in later. in the end, we had to walk out as it created distress within our own family. We were all looking forward to a great evening and they spoiled it. I hope by reading my experience you don’t go there as they are people who prefer Rich Middle Eastern shakes. I also hope and pray that their business doesn’t run after how they treating my family. I’m a person who suffers from anxiety and they let me down and my family and children.. over a few Middle Eastern men that they could’ve Turned away or found some spare chairs and tables for.. they broke all the table manner, rules and etiquettes.

Fast seating and service although I’d recommend re confirming what the waiters have down as your main order to avoid receiving garlic bread instead of garlic mashed potato. This is a nice casual steak place with an south eastern twist. I also recommend taking the steak off the grill as soon as it arrives on table or instead requesting that the steak isn’t served on the iron dish as it quickly over cooked the steak. I also love love the passion fruit mojito (no alchohol) but I’d avoid their pina colada as that’s quite disappointing. Oh and the lamb chops are absolutely divine!

Don’t have a bad word to say. Staff were lovely, food was amazing and affordable, the decor was also really nice. Thank you for a great steak :)

Brilliant gem in a vibrant location which is not in the city centre.Great food, doesn’t serve alcohol which was fine as the mocktails and shakes are delicious. Lovely service the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Steaks were yummy and the garlic mash amazing x

I have never ordered from this place before so thought I would give it a try for valentines weekend and ordered takeaway steaks. I will never eat there again. The steaks were absolutely disgusting. We ordered 2 sirloins which were extremely tough and I couldn’t eat the rest of mine so gave it to the dog. The sides were mediocre and the rice we ordered tasted like the golden vegetable packet rice you can get in Aldi I did complain about the food but as usual it was a lame apology and the offer of another meal which is too late as we had eaten our sides. I realise it’s difficult for restaurants at the moment but all the more reason to entice new custom. The food at steak out is awful. I would strongly recommend you avoid this place.

We came here for a date night while staying in Cardiff. We love steak and the menu looked great. The atmosphere is great as were the staff, quick to take our order and very friendly. I'm sorry to say the food was mediocre, you pay extra for sides such as chips and vegetables. So I was very disappointed to see frozen veg to accompany my steak. When we explained our disappointment they did knock it off the bill.

No fries...why would I order 3 burgers yet no fries? Tried to submit complaint on this app but no option to say fries weren't delivered. Never ordering from McDonald's Newport Road again. Issues every single time! Im grateful the 3 burgers arrived but what about the fries? Dips arrived yet no fries to dip them in! My wife warned me this would happen again and it has...

Pulse Cardiff is one of the most poorly run, toxic venues in the city. It hides behind a reputation of being inclusive, but in reality, it’s inconsistent, discriminatory, and filled with power-tripping staff who create more problems than they solve. There is no real dress code policy, yet security regularly turns people away based on personal bias or how someone “looks” — while letting others in wearing costumes, casual clothes, or barely anything. It’s selective enforcement at best, outright discrimination at worst. The bar staff are rude and unprofessional, often overcharging people for basic mixers and getting defensive or aggressive when questioned about it. Reports of drinks being tampered with, watered down, or deliberately altered are not uncommon — and that is completely unacceptable. Management and security clearly lack training in both customer service and safety. There are multiple reports of victims being ignored, mocked, or accused of lying when trying to report harassment or unsafe situations. This is a venue that puts people at risk by refusing to take complaints seriously. Their inflated egos are clearly doing overtime to make up for whatever they’re lacking elsewhere — because there is zero professionalism, maturity, or respect shown to the people keeping the place open. For a place that claims to be a safe space, Pulse fails on every level — respect, accountability, consistency, and basic decency. It’s an embarrassment to Cardiff’s nightlife and to the LGBTQ+ community it pretends to support. I genuinely hope this place gets investigated, reported, and shut down. It doesn’t deserve the licence it holds.
