This used to be a nice place to go - but not know. The place looked untidy and while I was there no one made any attempt the clean the tables and floor. Most of the staff seemed to be taking their breaks. The rubbish bins were overflowing and the toilets were disgusting. I am not prepared to visit this kfc again because the Marsh Barton kfc can is a far better establishment and they will get my business in future

Worst KFC I've ever had the displeasure of visiting. Never get a good chicken always just drumsticks on a 10 piece bargain bucket this KFC should be boycotted . Bins always over flowing. Never has enough chicken and lucky to get 9 chips. STAY CLEAR IF I WAS YOU ! We won't ever be going back !!!

Ideally situated for easy access to M5. Just out of town. Very pleasantly surprised with our purchase. Highly Recommended. Hardly any queue at 6pm on Bank Holiday Saturday. Service was quick. The food was outstanding! It was so tasty. Crispy chicken, not fatty and oily. Chips were crispy and well seasoned. Beautifully cooked to perfection. It was the best one I have had in a long while. Like it used to be years ago! Friendly, professional and efficient staff. Thankyou to all the staff who contributed to doing an amazing job! We really enjoyed our Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Went in after cinema and already having been to Sidwell Street KFC annd left. Review left. The place was a mess as well and christ knows when the toilet had last been checked because it was disgusting with no toilet roll and diguatd d wet loo roll in the sink. Had to leave my child in the loo whilst I asked for some tissue and it took ages, so then had to stand in the main doorway to both toilets, whilst my husband asked and watched the server I asked messing around trying to, what looked like offloading the job onto another colleague. Currently stood waiting for food and have already taken multiple pictures of over flowing bins and dirty floors. Poor hygiene.

We went thought the Drive though that took 20 minuets to Order, a 10 peace bucket, told them we wanted thighs as last time we got manly drumsticks, it took another 18 minuets to get the food. Took it home, only to find 1 x wing & 9 x Drumsticks! Drove back & complained . It took another 20 minuets to get the food. Very Poor service. Will complaining to there head office. Not Happy !

This spot is great for no chicken. Waited ages in line for them to tell me I had to wait a further ten minutes and park up because they had run out of cooked chicken. Considered leaving as they'd probably get it wrong anyway.Luckily food arrived to my car all ok however still a poor experience overall.

If I could if put 0 stars I would have, rubbish everywhere, bins full, and took ages for food!!! The attitude after from the staff was horrendous, brought 3 large box meals and one chicken box got put in the wrong box, and 2 of the box meals ‘didn’t come with drinks’ when I ordered them on the screen!!!! When I politely asked the lady she rudely said well they aren’t on the screen so you can’t have them. After I said I’ve paid for them she gave me the wrong size drinks anyways! The chicken my partner had he didn’t want to eat as he wasn’t convinced that they were actually cooked?! Waste of money!! Never ever going to that KFC again!!!

I’m not joking worst kfc I’ve had in the world , food come completely cold despite the kfc being empty so they have no excuse, the whole restaurant was full of rubbish all of he tables all over the floor get better hygiene eating in the streets , the chips lacked any flavour was so awful kinda put me off kfc for awhile so poor

Ordered and collected via drive through. More for the benefit of the management to ensure our feedback was absorbed and follow up action will be taken. Server wearing personal grubby clothes (all staff), feet up, on his mobile and listening to music through headphones. Couldn't initially hear us until worked out how to turn his volume down. We were an inconvenience. Order incorrect and overcooked, addressed at counter to be told "no it's not." Manager advised he was changing cooking oil in the morning and no further chicken would be cooked/served. It was! Prices certainly not reflected in (poor) quality and standard of food or service Food was substandard and we discarded/binned most on our return to home. Few words of advice: Ensure orders are completed and packed as ordered and paid for by the customer. We had items missing. Staff customer service training and social skills and general manners. Implement a mobile phone policy during working hours. Remind and/or implement a policy on staff uniform and hygiene and cleanliness. Recognising cooked/over cooked food and when oil needs changing. Ensuring food hygiene standards are met/exceeded. Take pride - Same (improved) standards wether this is your first or last order of the day. Customer service, ensuring orders correct and the quality and standard of food is what or exceeds what the customer is paying for and expects. Given the locality, we will be back but please be assured, we will challenge the above standards if they are not met!

Poor service, ordered on the self service machine, had no receipt. The team serving had issues with a number of customer orders. When I got my order home I had a 6 piece bucket instead of 10. With no receipt I have no redress. Only discovered that the order was wrong when I got home. I have had orders go wrong here before so should have known better, won't be ordering here again. Would advise others to avoid using this place or if you have to, check that they have given you what you ordered before you leave.

Have eaten here a few times and service is always terrible, always need to check order as usually wrong but the food is normally ok, however today it was inedible and service was the worst ever, staff behind the counter ignored us for 10mins until we asked to be served, they were far too busy being vile and insulting each other, the order took a further 15mins and was wrong and also cold. During the 30 mins we were there (definitely not fast food) we saw 6 people getting the wrong order or waiting in excess of 20 mins for their food. Won’t be back again until management invest in some serious customer service training.

I ordered from the app and got there parked up and clicked I'm here on the app. All was fine as I went in to wait for my food. There was a young girl and boy serving the food and all I can say is it must be a bad place to work or some serious customer service training is needed. Even before I got my food which was quite a wait and it wasn't very bust. The 3 people served before me had their number called and their food and drinks just dumped down and not a work from the staff members like enjoy your food or even thank you. Then one customer dared ask for some mayo and after a what do you want mayo? Comment she just chucked it in the bag dumped the bag down and just turned away. Once I finally got my number called I went to collect and the bag and drink were just thrown towards me snd she walked off. The food itself was OK and pretty much normal kfc food and was hot so I cannot say anything bad about the food but the service was awful and it is definitely somewhere I would go back to as looking at other reviews it's normal to be treated like your not welcome there to eat.

I normally enjoy the food from here. Today it was absolutely below par. The coating on the chicken was so greasy I could have washed my hands in it. The chips were unattractive and lukewarm. I should have known it wasn’t going to be good from the service I received. No “hello “. No smile. No looking like I was valued as a customer. When my order was ready the server literally called the number, put it on the counter then turned away!!! Dissatisfaction personified 🤬

Simply the slowest drive thru and restaurant going Hour long drive thru when you go, if you go inside just as long and they get it wrong!

Absolutely shocking. Every time we go they either don’t have certain things on the menu available or they forget to put something in the bag (usually when I’ve just been to the drive-through, got home and they’ve missed things. Never had a good experience here. Avoid it.

Went in and ordered in KFC in centre of Exeter. Ordered on the machine. No one was in store. Then 5 other people ordered. I only ordered pieces of chicken and large fries. Everyone else was served way before me. Then 5 more orders were made before me . I ordered at 1.00 pm. Got my order at 1.45 pm not good. Asked to know when my order was going to be ready was just just eat and sit in orders come 1st

Pleeeeease improve this place or shut it down! Tiny portions of cold, limp fries. Rubbery chicken. Staff stood around on their phones. A manager who spent most of her time shouting randomly. A general sense of indifference and despair. Dystopian.

Was In Exeter and wanted some lunch. Having not had a kfc in many years we decided to try a one. Well I won’t be eating this pig swill again. Greasy food, covered in bbq sauce. Looking around the restaurant it soon became apparent that tables were not being cleaned and as one group of customers left, new customers were using dirty tables. I don’t know if they didn’t have enough staff but it did look like they couldn’t manage. On leaving I was surprised to see the bins over flowing with kfc packaging. Not a great look. On the way home I began to feel a bit unwell, probably not because there was anything in the food bad, just the thought of the chicken bits and the overall appearance. Having not been in kfc for many years prior to this visit I can say I won’t be returning ever again.

Tall blonde guy, really nice when handing out orders and cleaning tables, visited a few times now all around decent experience.

I know KFC isn't going to be a fine dining experience by any stretch. This was how ever my worst visit to KFC, I paid £7 for what was essentially a pot that was a quarter full of beans, around 10 cold and congealed chips...

Bins over flowing, staff couldn't careless, no covid regulations in place, they stood around chatting whilst que was really long. Order wrong, management couldn't care. As we were leaving there was a staff member going out to empty the bins...with a cigarette in her mouth!!...

Absolutely sh*te!! Everything was over cooked and dry, drinks didn’t show up and neither did the extra dip that was ordered. Poor service from Uber Eats, too, who said they couldn’t do anything... Avoid this store like the plague. No wonder it has over 125 bad reviews!!!

Well this will be the last time I Kentucky fried chicken from this store. The chicken outer coating was overcooked so a darker brown than it should be and didn’t taste nice at all. No napkin of any sort to wipe your hands with. Very poor service in food quality. Some of the drinks they had run out off so ended up with water.

Lovely box of boneless chicken Chips were delicious and so much chicken I even saved one piece for Dempsey the Cat.

Went to buy the 9 piece bucket that had just been on tv for £5.99 the staff said they weren’t doing it they hadn’t seen tv all day and aren’t interested looking at it on my fone they ask me to come inside shop to deal with it and 3 times try to charge me £12.99 I say that’s not how it works they are false advertising and trading standards should be made aware of this I’m then told as I have a Scottish accent kfc franchise is run differently by another owner in Scotland I live in countess wear the tv ad was national not local anyway poor service I’ll informed staff that didn’t care and think it’s ok to charge double if I could give 0 out of ten I’d do it as I left with nothing get your staff to check your campaigns before overcharging

Took advantage of the Government meal deal. Staff friendly and helpful during the wait due to Covid-19 restrictions. Good food and plenty of it. Usual KFC standard and taste.

Un joven llamado CJ fue muy educado y nos dio muchas opciones para que pudiéramos decidir qué tener, nos dio modales educados y nos trató como esperábamos que nos trataran. Servicio con una sonrisa es todo lo que puedo decir. No puedo decir sobre la comida al momento de escribir esto que no habíamos comido. CJ hizo un buen trabajo al hacernos sentir bienvenidos. Luego nos dijeron que había una espera en la comida y nos ofreció extra sin cargo, aunque rechazamos esto. Ya era hora de que viniéramos a kfc para que un trabajador nos sirviera con una sonrisa y nos ayudara en lo que hacer que CJ sea de calidad en su trabajo.Incluso si la comida no está a la altura pero no puede comentar hasta el momento, no se ha probado mientras escribía esta reseña. Stopped here for lunch, hadn't eaten in a KFC for a long time. Order taken straightaway short wait for food, lovely and hot. Chips were fantastic. All tables were clean and no rubbish. Drive through was very busy. Plenty of parking. If in the area would visit again.

Service was very very sloe, Food ordered when arrived had items missing. No plates, No Knapkins, No BBQ Sauce, No ordinary pepsi despite having to pay a Sugar Tax which I expect should not have been when only offered Sugar Free Pepsi! Worse still was No toilet paper in Ladies toilets atball , didn't visit Gents so cannot comment. There was noone cleaning tables or emptying rubbish bins so people were leaving mess everywhere. Overall a totally disgusting KFC Restaurant which we will not visit again KFC you need to improve Big time because this is totally unacceptable.

I don’t know how this place keeps going. We queued for over 30 minutes, and you would expect the food to be fresh and hot it was warm and my order was missing two items. Just up the road is a TOBY carvery which offers a first class nutritious meal for similar money

Went in for my grandaughter. what a hovel !There was not one table you could eat off that wasn't covered in waste food and mess. The floor was littered with waste food and wrapping papers everywhere you looked. The order machines had only two working out of four.I asked one of the servers if I could have some cleaner and a cloth, they then couldn't find a cloth or cleaning fluid. They then came over and proceeded to spray the table but wiped all the residue food waste onto the floor.The same person came out to empty the big black waste receptacle and started taking the rubbish out with their hands. They got called back to serve so they left the black bag open in the middle of the room and then went straight to serve food without washing their hands !!!! The toilets, no way would I have let my dog use them let alone a child of ours....water coming in and littered, filthy.it is health and safety hazard, especially with all the bugs around these days.The Manager was asked for and no eye contact was given throughout, or even acknowledged around him the mess, we had highlighted. He apologised and said "I agree !*.That was that and no one came anywhere near to address the situation.Looking at the previous comments why has this not been addressed with the hierarchy or environmental health, which we will be calling after the weekend.

Check your drive through order is correct before you leave. My order consisted of 3 boneless chicken strips.It’s ment to include 2 dips - they did not have any mayo left so was offered spicy mayo . I wanted bottled water but they had run out of that too !!! Drove away and they had not put the dips in ! How simple was my order to get right ? 3 boneless chicken strips with a dip.Absolute plebs . Who ever manages this Kentucky is not doing a very good job and you need to give your staff a kick up the bum - poor poor service. How do you run out of mayo and water ?

I've been stuck in the drive through of this fast food dump for 30 minutes to get to the order window. I asked the clever lady at the till why was this was all taking so long. She replied that it's just a busy time. I could see very few staff in the kitchen, so assuming it's like this every night and I'll be waiting for an hour, it's not just the staff who are a bit thick, but also the management as they could, maybe, take on extra staff at busy times? Maybe a concept too radical and difficult for KFC to understand.

Visited the driver through Sunday and queued for 20 mins to get to order window. Then told no fries available, so replaced with corn and coleslaw. Queued another 15 mins to get to collection window. Was the told no corn no coleslaw the only sides left was gravy!!

Visité hoy con mi esposo mientras estaba en el parque minorista; ni siquiera podía tomar un café o un té a menos que lo quisiera negro ya que no tenían leche, ¡absolutamente ridículo ya que hay un gran Tesco sangriento al lado! Lamentablemente, esta no es la primera vez ni la segunda vez que no puedo conseguir una bebida caliente aquí, así que no volveré pronto.

Wish I had looked at other reviews before wasting time going here. Menu was confusing. Sole person serving kept going away..after waiting almost 10 mins to get anyone to take the order we have up. After a 2 hour drive we hoped to have something to eat and a short break. On the way out empty handed we noticed how dirty and scruffy the place was. Total disgrace. We will go back to using Exeter services next time. Management really needs to take note of these negative reviews and do something. However I will never ever go back there so maybe just close it down is best solution

This place is awful, 30 minutes for a basic meal, the woman on drive through doesn’t have a clue, takes 10 minutes to put your order in, I’m fully convinced they recruit from Paignton Zoo, each one of them need a performance review or sacking.

I was a fan of KFC until i came here then had a change of mind. Staff standing around not doing alot despite the orders coming through, theres no routine/rhythm. All you need is a better manager who can actually lead a team and give them a kick up the wotsit to get them going

This place needs to close as what it is serving up is an insult to hard working people having to pay for such poor quality food. I don’t know how long my food had been kept warm for but it was dry and totally tasteless, trouble is when you are on the move you can’t take it back to place in the face of the manager. Loads of staff hanging around doing nothing, how on earth can you work in such a poor place, have you no pride.

Popped in this evening and could not believe what we were gave with, the staff didn’t have a clue and their clothing was disgustingly filthy.

How does a fast food chicken restaurant take 45 minutes to get our order together. Not only that, we ordered gravy separately 40 minutes before so it goes cold. We ask for a new one and they challenge us bu asking for a receipt, after we have waited for 45 minutes. DISGRACEFUL. We came here this evening for fast food ,got here at 8:00 didn't receive our food until 9:00 ...... heard the manager around the back swearing at the boys at the front asking for my rice box which is unprofessional .

We ordered 3 meals and took about 45 minutes, food tasted ok but was stone cold. Music was too loud, rubbish all over the floor and run down to people that don’t know what there doing!

Terrible service, slow and seems to be run by people who aren’t trained properly, food is ok but no gravy!! Drive through rammed, long wait for food. Don’t bother coming here if your starving, I nearly ate my bag just waiting for the food!

Went with my family on Sunday at around 5:15pm and to be greeted with mess over every table and other customers looking angry .

I keep forgetting how bad this KFC is, we arrived at approximately 5.45pm on Sunday to be greated with mountains of rubbish all over the tables and overflowing bins inside the restaurant, we had to wait 35 mins for our food and cleared our own tables before we could sit and eat. In the hour or so we were there not one person came out and attempted to tidy up or clean the food strewn across the floor and tables.

Got to this drive thru at6:05pm merged into the drive thru at 6:15pm this evening. As I am writing this it is now 7pm and we have still not been served our supposedly “fast” food just at 7:02 pm received the food . This is all after I had been picked up from the local train station at five to six. They had sold out of numerous items. Only one of which was advertising as sold out being the Kansas burger option.

Esto tiene que ser el peor kfc que se haya esperado 25 minutos para que los cafés de la comida fuesen tibios, fueran una mezcla de pollo cocinado y parcialmente crudo para no manejar los contenedores de seviettes desbordados. Si pudiera alcanzar un cero, otros lo estarían esperando más de 40 minutos.

No he tenido kfc en meses, así que pensé que haría un cambio y compraría un gran pesar. ! Conseguí media copas llenas y pagué 6. 59 para esta comida de banquete deshuesada, no más que un puñado de papas fritas, un diminuto pollo de palomitas de maíz y el lado más pequeño de frijoles. ¡No volveré a kfc! Tampoco recomendaría Digby Exeter Kfc, siempre decepciona cada vez que hemos estado allí.

Went saturday tea time for a quick meal on way from from Cornwall. Waited 45 mins to be served. 45 mins for fast food! Everyone was thoroughly annoyed, loads of people got refunds. The staff had a system that didn't work, it involved a lot of wandering around shrugging shoulders and not a lot of bagging up and serving the cooked food - which was on the pass! Virtually every order was wrong, argumentative staff get stroppy over whether a 30p dip should be in the order or not - you just made the dude wait 45 mins for his chips, give him the frigging dip! No napkins, salt etc the place was filthy. My kids snack box sat for 10 mins on the pass so was barely warm by the time they served it. NEVER AGAIN.

This must be worst KFC in the country, unhelpful miserable staff combined with 30 to 46 minute wait,moved on to Newton Abbot fine here

Decided to ‘pop in’ on the way home from Devon as it was the last stop before we hit rural Devon and Dorset roads. This restaurant has a drive through attached and they prioritized the drive through traffic and just left the walk-in customers to wait, and wait, and wait. If this hadn’t been the last watering hole before the open road we would have walked out. Unfortunately for me, the kids were starving and we were committed to stay. The food (when it eventually arrived) was like warm at best and unappetizing. There was no point complaining as the place was run by spotty teenagers who couldn’t give a toss.

This restaurant never, ever, has Gravy. What is the point. KFC gravy is the best part, and in the last 2 months, there hasn't been any.

When me and my husband arrived at the kfc not only was the driveway ridiculously packed the queue for food was like 30 people plus. We ordered our food at the self check out and waited for 25 minutes for our food. When our order number didn’t show up on the till we were worried our food was not going to done so I checked with one of the staff members. I spoke to a lady who was by the counter and she said they have it up on their screen so we went to go sit back down for a further 15 minutes. We were then called and record our food. However when we got home and took out our food I was missing 2 dipping sauces that I ordered on the self check out and my chips were like warm. I’m not impressed with this kfc every time I go there something goes wrong with my food. My husband even heard a lady complain about her burger and asked if she could have one that was actually put together properly as hers just looked like it was all chucked in. I think I may have to rethink going to that kfc and just have it when I go into town.

A long wait but no queue.....staff need to do better. It was not the hottest KFC so disappointed as when well cooked and served fresh KFC can be great

I love kfc. I just have to buy it from this filthy place. I can’t always guarantee I’m going to take home what I paid for and I often have to remind them about missing items.

It's been a while since we had KFC and it lived up to my memory. The women serving us were great and recommended some great choices. Lovely!

I pop to KFC once every 6 weeks or so when I'm working at the weekend, my visit today being the worst I have ever experienced - just a month after my last horrific trip there! Where do I start?

Went in for some popcorn chicken , burger , krushems and a mighty box . No hotwings at all because “smelt like an ash tray” says the staff . Order took at least 25 minutes then they forgot all 3 krushems . We complained 10 minutes later and they’d forgotten completely and claimed to start them now . They questioned us , having to prove our receipts , and still didn’t start them . 20 minutes later With rude staff and unhelpful mannerisms , we got a half filled , lid not fitting , krushem . Never going again . Should’ve gone to McDonald’s !!!!

Got a takeout here with work colleagues. Food as per the usual, no issues with service and the restaurant was clean and well run. Plenty of free parking and nearby alternative amenities if fried chicken doesn’t suit your entire party.

Happy staff means good experience and they get 5/5 for that. Lovely hot food, clean tables, clean loos. Great food what more can i say

If you like fast food don't come here. It's so busy and they seem to be extremely understaffed and overwhelmed by the amount of customers. They never have a full menu to offer and the food is always cold.

Disgusting. Chicken was dry and the colonels special recipe was not followed. Greasy coating and old dry meat. Minging.

I ordered food at 12.33 loads of people waiting, I had a 3 year old with me so trying to hear out the order number as the collection board was not working was a balancing act in its self, 30 mins after ordering here's my number go to collect my food gets asked if I wanted the ice cream for the kids meal now or later so said one please he goes out the back then comes says we don't have any ice cream, having waited for 30 mins I was not happy as that is what my lo wanted if I had known before I would of gone elsewhere, the manager gave me a refund for the meal and let us have what was there. It wasn't the best of food bad presentation the fries were dark but cold. So many where complaining. I did suggest they put a notice on the machines if things where out of stock but his reply was it would be taking someone else of from serving, a 1 minute job could save so many complaints on what was obviously busy shift that the company cut back on hours and pay the staff there are put under too much pressure and can't deliver a good service.

We popped into KFC at Digby and had lunch on a Saturday. The drive through was around the building- but not so many people inside. Like others it wasn't particularly clean, we had to clear our own table and wipe it down. The floor

We had some KFC 2-piece meals and wraps here. Not too much to say, except that it's KFC and you get what you pay for. Filling enough - to the KFC recipe. Can't complain.

first class and fast service very good staff to back it up and the food spot on at the right price a very clean kfc
